  “Right.”

“It’s true he found her in the bed at the hotel. However, she didn’t blow her head off. She took some pills, but when he reached her, he saved her. He found her cell phone with her, and when he went through it, he saw that she had killed a guy in another room in the hotel. Once she came around, he convinced her to cut a deal with him to avoid murder charges.”

  “What?”

“Bunny is alive. He relocated her and offered her a better life. In return, she has to work as an undercover informant, to use her looks to lure some of the most dangerous criminals into dropping their guards.”

“Bunny is alive?” Simone was confused.

“Yes.” Rydah nodded. “The investigator got me these pictures.” She went to the drawer and pulled out the photographs.

“Wait a minute. Bunny would never sign up to be a rat. She hated the police.”

“I’m sorry,” Rydah said, “but she did. I have concrete proof.”

“Banks sisters don’t do that shit.”

“And Chase would never know that she was alive and not tell me,” Simone added.

Rydah nodded. “I agree with you both, but I can’t think of anything else that makes sense.”

Simone stood up. She didn’t know what to say, or what to think. “Bunny knows so much stuff that I can’t say.” Her mind drifted off, wondering what exactly Bunny had told Chase. Did Bunny tell Chase about her and Ginger killing Deidra and her boyfriend? And how Simone helped them cut up the body parts and get rid of it? About the banks they robbed? And the laundry list of other crimes they had committed together?

“This is just fucked up. Real fucked up. You have no idea,” Simone snapped.

“I want her address. I think we should pay her a visit,” Tallhya said. “And Chase? What about him? I thought you had him under the spell of your pussy. He’s a threat. A threat that has to be dealt with.”

“Shit is so real,” Rydah said.

“You have no idea,” Wolfe mumbled under his breath.

Wolfe had no idea that Rydah was in possession of the files. He wanted them all for himself, and nothing was going to stop him from obtaining them. His mind skated around the overflow of wealth and power he would have once he possessed the files.

Just that quick, Wolfe couldn’t give one solitary fuck about any plastic surgery results of a fat bitch, or his dreams of having a family.

Instead, Wolfe got back in the bed, under the covers, and pretended he was asleep, as if he’d heard nothing at all. But under the high thread count sheets, all he could think about was how those classified files were going to be his in a matter of hours. He hoped that he wouldn’t have to hurt anyone he cared about to get them—Rydah included....
