Sara whistles from across the yard at us. “Come on you two!”
Stone pulls away and cups my face in his hands. His face lights up as the fireworks begin shooting off above us. “I love you,” he says loudly enough for me to hear.
Hearing him say those three words still makes my heart go just as crazy as it did when he said them five weeks ago.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of those words coming from his beautiful lips.
This man has become my world . . .
Stone
“I LOVE YOU, TOO. SO damn much and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon, Stone.”
Forgetting all about the game, I pull her against me and hold her tightly, as we watch the firework display above us.
It’s so fucking beautiful and having her here in my arms only makes the moment that much more perfect. I honestly couldn’t ask for anything better right now.
Not to mention that our whole family is here to enjoy it with us.
It somehow just makes it feel that much more complete.
By the time the fireworks are over, everyone has pretty much forgotten about the game and any other activity everyone was involved in.
We all somehow find our way around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and telling stories and jokes.
Styx attempts to tell a drunken story that he claims to be true, but that somehow turns into a joke too, everyone laughing and making fun of him for hours.
We don’t end up making it inside until well after midnight and I have to admit that I’ve been dying to get Sage alone and hold her in some peace and quiet.
Sage doesn’t waste any time stripping down to her sheer top that I love so much and a pair of panties, before grabbing a blanket and making her way outside on the balcony.
I strip down myself getting damn excited to finally be close to her, now that everyone’s gone.
When I follow her outside, she pulls me down onto the lounge chair, between her legs and kisses my arm.
Getting comfortable, I cup her face in my hands and press my forehead to hers. “Do you have any idea how much I love you?”
She nods her head and laughs. “I have a pretty good idea, but I won’t mind if you continue to keep reminding me, daily.” She smiles against my lips, before kissing me, hard as if she’s missed me all day. “Lay down with me. There’s still random fireworks going off. I want to enjoy them with only you.”
Shifting us around, so that she’s positioned between my legs now, I securely wrap my arms around her and just hold her.
As much as I love making love to her, holding her in moments like this, means so much more at times.
It reminds me that what we have is deeper and I plan to make that last with everything in me.
This woman has my heart in her hands and I don’t plan on asking for it back . . .
The end of #1
If you enjoyed Stone (Walk Of Shame 2nd Generation #1) and want more of the dirty boys of Walk Of Shame, be sure to check out the first generation: Slade, Hemy and Cale available on Amazon.
First and foremost, I’d like to say a big thank you to all of my loyal readers that have given me support over the last couple of years and have encouraged me to continue with my writing. Your words have all inspired me to do what I enjoy and love. Each and every one of you mean a lot to me and I wouldn’t be where I am if it weren’t for your support and kind words.
I’d also like to thank my beta readers, Amy Preston Rogers, Hetty Rasmussen, Kellie Richardson, Justine Mcfadyen and Keeana Porter. I love you ladies and appreciate you taking the time to read my words.
My amazingly, wonderful PA, Amy Preston Rogers. She helped me from the very beginning of Stone and fell in love with him before anyone else. Her support has meant so much to me.
I’d like to thank another friend of mine, Clarise Tan from CT Cover Creations for creating my cover. You’ve been wonderful to work with and have helped me in so many ways.
Thank you to my boyfriend, friends and family for understanding my busy schedule and being there to support me through the hardest part. I know it’s hard on everyone, and everyone’s support means the world to me.
Last but not least, I’d like to thank all of the wonderful book bloggers that have taken the time to support my book and help spread the word. You all do so much for us authors and it is greatly appreciated. I have met so many friends on the way and you guys are never forgotten. You guys rock. Thank you!
