Nashville Dreams Page 21

by Pamela M. Kelley

He was now a doting grandfather who spoiled them rotten whenever he saw them, which wasn’t nearly as often as he’d like. But Charleston was a hike from Nashville. They usually saw each other on the holidays. Cole and Laura would drive to Charleston with the girls and every few months, his father and Claire would drive to Nashville to spend a few days. They always stayed at the Hermitage Hotel, one of Nashville’s most luxurious, as there wasn’t a spare room for them and Cole knew it was easier for all of them if they had their own space.

His father was friendly towards Laura now and had even apologized which Laura graciously accepted. Cole knew that she wasn’t thrilled with the idea of spending any time with him initially, but when she saw how he was with the girls and how much they loved him, she accepted it.

“Have I told you I love you yet today? I don’t think I have,” he asked Laura as he reached for his wine.

She laughed. “No not yet. You’re slacking apparently.”

He grinned. “Well, I love you, today and always.”

“And I love you, today and always.”

The familiar saying always made him smile. They said it to each other every day without fail.

He leaned over and kissed her and then they relaxed together, watching the girls play and the sun slowly set. Life was good.

  Note to readers…

I hope you enjoyed Laura and Cole’s story. This book was a labor of love for me. I first started working on this story over two years ago. During that time, I’ve written other books, among them Cute Cowboy, which is Lily and Cody’s story.

You may have noticed a mention of Lily in the book. Laura first makes an appearance in Cute Cowboy when Lily comes to Nashville for a visit. It’s part of the Rivers End Ranch series.

My most recent book in that series is Billionaire’s Baby. It’s a fun story about billionaire Ben who is now caring for his niece Taylor and is desperately in need of a nanny. Anna needs money for law school tuition since her evil step-mother kicked her out of the house and her father’s will.

Up next…..my next book in the River’s End Ranch series will be out on March 26, Teasing Tammy. Charming doctor Clark falls hard for bookstore manager Tammy. He doesn’t get off to a good start when he sets off to the bookstore determined to ask her out and instead ends up bringing her to the ER with a broken foot….and it’s kind of his fault.
