“Keep walking Mister Harris. We don’t want any issues,” James spoke as he noticed Brandon.

“Fuck you, James!” Brandon tried to free himself from Carlos’ grip but failed. Alex looked up at Brandon for the first time since entering the hall. She had a malicious smile plastered on her face. As Brandon noticed it, his blood ran cold. As soon as the smile appeared, it was gone and replaced with the look of fear.

“Oh, please no! Keep him away from me!” She began as tears rolled down her cheeks. “He is going to hurt me again!” She fought to scramble to safety. Both the cop and James pushed her back into the room they had just walked out of.

“Take him out of here!” James shouted over Alex’s hysterical screams before closing the door.

The detectives ushered Brandon out of the hospital where he was placed in their car and driven down to the station. Once they arrived at headquarters, they immediately took Brandon to an empty interrogation room.

Inside, the room was empty except for the three chairs sitting on both sides of an empty steel table. Carlos sat Brandon down on one side of him while Roy sat opposite.

“Mister Harris, I am assuming you know why you are here,” Roy said in a stern voice.

  “Yeah,” Brandon answered angrily.

“Why don’t you tell us about the events from that night?” Roy asked.

“Why? It seems you already made your decision. That’s why I am sitting here, isn’t it?”

“We have interviewed a few other people from the asylum, and we have gathered the evidence left at the scene. What we don’t know is exactly what happened in that room.”

“And what does that matter to me?” Brandon shifted from angry to agitated.

“You understand that unless you start talking, you are facing up to 16 months in jail for attacking Alexandra Parker.”

“Where was Little Miss Alex headed off to when we saw her?” Brandon grew intrigued at the mention of Alex.

“That is not what you should be worrying about Mister Harris. You need to worry about the evidence we have against you. We know that you were the only one in charge of Alexandra Parker outside of her therapy. We know that you regularly escorted her to the bathing room.”

“I can see where this is going.” Brandon grew cocky. “You are going to ask if I’ve been fucking her.” Roy and Carlos look at each other before turning back to Brandon.

  “Were you?” Roy prompted.

“No. She wasn’t my type,” Brandon said.

Roy leaned in toward Brandon. “You can’t say you never thought about it. All that alone time you had with her. Seeing her every day as she showered. You had to at least consider it. I know I did when I saw her in that hospital bed. Even with that gash down her neck, she was still sexy.” Brandon’s fists clenched on the table as Roy spoke. “What’s wrong? Didn’t you consider even once how she would feel?” Roy continued to push as a savage growl erupted from deep inside of Brandon.

“How dare you talk about her like that! She is mine!” Brandon shouted as he stood up knocking his chair over.

“But you just said that she wasn’t your type. Maybe something was going on after all.” Roy stood and walked over to Brandon and picked up his chair for him before returning to his own seat. Brandon sat back down once Roy did. The anger was blazing in Brandon’s eyes. “Maybe you wanted her, but she didn’t want you.” Roy continued to bait. “Maybe one day you saw her getting undressed and you tried to touch her. But she didn’t like it did she? That’s when you pinned her down and tried to take what you wanted, but she tried to fight back. You didn’t like that did you Brandon? So, you cut her open. During the struggle, she managed to get some good hits in. But, your attack on her was too much for her when she started bleeding like that.”

As Roy told his version of their story, Brandon’s fury escalated.

“Tell him how wrong he is,” the voice echoed in Brandon’s head. “Tell the nice cop how Alex loved your cock.”

  “Shut up!” Brandon shouted.

“Oh! Did I hit a nerve Mr. Harris?” Roy asked, obviously pleased with himself. “We only have one option before us. We will be sending you to the county prison where you will await your trial, and unless you tell us differently, we will be taking you into custody tonight.”

Roy looked into Brandon’s eyes. There was not one ounce of fear or worry. Roy only saw rage. He stood, and so did Carlos. They turned to leave the room. When Brandon did not stop them, they simply closed the door behind them.
