Then there are the groups. Swimmers: Jeff Roddin, John Craig, Mark Pugliese, Carole Kammel, Margot Pettijohn, Susan Williams, Amy Weiss, A. J. Block, Danny Pick, Warren Friedland, Marshall Greer, Tom Denes, Peter Ward, Doug Chestnut, Bob Hansen, Paul Doremus, the still-missed Penny Bates, and the ever-patient Mary Dowling.   The Feinstein Advisory Board: Keith Drum, Frank Mastrandrea, Wes Seeley, and Dave Kindred. How they do it, I don’t know. Then again, neither do they.

My family always comes last but, as I have said before, certainly not least: Jim and Arlene; Kacky, Stan, and Ann; Annie, Gregg, Rudy, Gus, and Harry; Jimmy and Brendan. Also: Dad and Marcia; Margaret, David, Ethan, and Ben; Bobby, Jennifer, Matthew, and Brian. Danny is now eleven and his latest hero is Bob Woodward. Excellent choice. Brigid is seven and her hero is Norma Rae. Mary Clare Gibbons Feinstein is older than both of them. She is my hero.
