  “You got nothin Cloud.” Steve says smiling.

  “You’re still pissed that I laid you out? Get over it cuz.” Cloud laughs at him.

  “Danny did better. Never even got a shot in.” Steve says.

  I crack up. “Not something I’d brag about VP.” The whole room laughs.

  “Don’t need a fuckin ninja with C4.” He says pissed.

  Ben slaps his back. “Jess won’t let you touch the shit anymore.”

  “Fuck off Pres.” He says with a smile. “Still got fuckin duct tape.”

  Ben stops laughing and sits quiet making me laugh. He looks at me. “Still don’t think it’s funny. He fuckin taped me to the frame.”

  I look at Beau. “Anything else? I can’t handle the whole fuckin three stooges’ routine right now.

  Max stands. I don’t need all of you for family security. Who is head of family security?

  Ben points, “Rich.” Rich moves forward. Max looks at Beau. Beau laughs telling him. “He’s head of Security under Knight. Was handed a Medal of Valor from the President, was a satellite for Seal Team Ten. He only looks young.” I laugh at Max’s expression.

  Rich shakes Max’s hand introducing him to Bob. He walks him out to the patio.

  “How we going to get the neighbors to move?” Tiny asks.

  I look at him thinking. I got it. “Cash.” I get the bag and put it on the table. “Some of these houses are worthless.” I start pulling the money out. “We offer them cash up front and make a quick sale. We need the lawyer to run the closings but we could schedule it for two days. Jess has a friend that underwrites, we just pay everything cash. Set the buyer as a corporation with no clear head but eventually owned by the Club.”

  “Danny, that’s five million dollars. I helped Tiny count it.” Cloud says.

  “I can’t bring it to the bank; I might as well use it. It’s been sitting in the trunk for more than twenty years.”

  “Fuckin Brothers. Let’s go visit the neighbors. I’ll call our realtor to come do paperwork. Danny you need to tell us how much each house is worth so we can get this done.” Ben says. Beau is cracking up. Cloud looks shocked. “Steve you’re not allowed to negotiate with anyone. You’ll scare the fuckers into leaving in the middle of the night.” Ben cracks us all up. He pulls his phone and talks to the realtor.

  “Least we’d get the house.” His says. Fuckin Brothers.

  I dole out money giving twenty or fifty thousand to everyone with a destination. The women are watching from the doorway I hear Kate tell Mitch we have a new mission and they might as well go to the Bakery. I smile at my Beautiful K and throw her some cash. She laughs. Mitch gets Max to drive them with Rich and Bob in tow.

  Fifty One

  One Week

  Ben

  "It's a fuckin ghost town over here now." Tiny says from the doorway.

  I walk out and look around. We have two neighbors left. Mr. Raposa and some crazy woman across from Rich, Tess and Patches. The crazy woman is waiting for a bed in assisted living and Mr. Raposa is waiting for his son to come up and help him move. He'll be here this week. "They are quiet."

  "The gate is sitting open. Not much security with it open." He says pissed.

  "They're controlled at Security. They opened them for you. Even called to say you passed through. Danny told them not to leave you sitting at the gate or you'd be fuckin pissed. Now you're pissed because you didn't have to wait at the fuckin gate? What the fuck you want me to tell them to do. I need to get YOU a fuckin box of tampons."

  "They really open it for me?" He looks shocked.

  "Danny told them if you're pissed when you showed and he hasn't had coffee he'd come looking for them and take their hand home to hold his cup for him." Why the fuck he said that is beyond me it doesn't even make fuckin sense. They wouldn't be able to work.

  "Guess it's better than killing them in their sleep." He says like he knew what I was thinking. I just look at him. "Where is Danny?"

  "Sparring with Cloud. I don't know why, neither one ever gets a fuckin shot in. What's the fuckin point?"

  "Maybe in the next move or something. I don't know why the fuck they fight like that either. A good punch in the mouth or shot in the arm works with most Brothers." He thinks like I do. "It is entertaining though. VP and Danny had a crowd watching. Think Cloud would do a show? We could sell tickets; get the rest of the fence."

  "Cloud is worse than Steve. The fuckin guy doesn't talk, you think he's going to let you sell ticket for a fight that no one wins?" Fuckin Brothers don't use their fuckin heads. "He's taking on training for the Little Brothers twice a month."

  "I thought Danny was training them?"

  "No he trains our kids. The Little Brothers just show up. Cloud is going to do a class just for them. Little Ben thinks it's a good idea. They get to see other Brothers not in the MC that make the world better." I'm so fuckin proud of him.

  "Fuckin kids." He says making me laugh.

  Danny comes in all sweaty and breathing fast. He throws chin and gets a glass of water. Tiny makes him a coffee. "Thanks Brother."

  "Thought you were sparring with Cloud?" I ask him.

  "He got called in halfway through so I ran." He drinks some coffee then puts the cup down and jogs up the stairs.

  "Guess he's done." I tell Tiny.

  He laughs, "He went for a shower. He'll be right back."

  "How come you come here every morning? With Sandy you have your own baby to feed." I've always wondered what he gets by coming over.

  He spends some time thinking about it. "At first it was to help with the kids, then Danny showed he's fuckin Badass but it only showed when he needed it. I started watching him with the kids and Kate. I was surprised that after we found out the fucker could fuckin shoot he still was the Building Super. He didn't strut around or even talk about the shit he did, not even with me sitting here at six in the morning. If you watch him you'll see he won't tell you anything about himself unless you ask right out or it's something you need to know. He spent years right here and we couldn't recognize the Badass motherfucker no matter what he did. Casper showed up wanting to know if Danny was going to step into number two with VP, Danny laughed at him. Said he's the same person from yesterday, last year and four years ago. He told Casper that while he was always all in for his Club his Club was never all in for him. Me and Casper were surprised but he was right, we only saw what we wanted. He's like Jess; he made us better without us even seeing it. I decided that day with Casper I was all in with him and his family. We do the Brother Recognition and make sure people notice all the Brothers. Now when we say 'we take care of our own’, it's fuckin true. It takes a fuckin village Brother. I need to do my part to make our village good. Danny teaches me more with what he doesn't say than what he does. I need that; I come every day so I can be someone that makes a difference in our village."

  I'm fuckin stunned. I think of all he said and realize I was doing the same thing coming here at dinner time every day. "He should be fuckin President."

  Tiny laughs like I'm nuts. "He doesn't want and wouldn't do your job. He can't do the shit you do Ben. You made the Club what it is today, we're all fuckin proud of our Brotherhood because of you and your vision of what it could be. Danny is more of a guide for the Brothers. You're the leader. It's not a surprise to everyone that he chose you to be their partner. You fit together; you make a good team for Kate and the Brotherhood."

  "He chose? Kate is the one that chose me. Danny was just giving her what she wanted."

  He fuckin laughs. "Brother there are Brothers and his friends in the PD he could have chosen. Knowing what you know about him, do you think any other Brother could handle being their partner if he wasn't someone that had the same outlook and personality as Danny's? He needed a partner that matched him in drive and intensity but was the direct opposite. Only you could add what he is missing. He chose who to put in front of Kate. He knew what he was doing Brother. You've been around him long enough to see that. You
're just not looking, it's like the shooting."

  Fuck! He did ask me to dinners then out with them and the kids. I wonder if his other choices did that too? "Fuck Brother. He kept telling me how he saw it working and how I gave what he didn't have. How the fuck do I miss this shit?"

  Fuckin Tiny with the biggest fuckin smile. "Was a fuckin good choice Ben. My Brother's brains are fuckin pieces of work. They work best together Brother."

  Now the fucker has me smiling like him. "We fuckin do."

  Danny comes in dressed and ready to go. "We fuckin do what?" He asks.

  "Work best together." I tell him.

  "Yep. I knew we would." He smiles. "You know when I was running I thought about Jess and Tess running. They'll need someone that runs so they don't have to give that up. I'm going to talk to Rich, make sure that happens for them."

  Tiny laughs, he fuckin knew. I shake my head at Tiny. "I didn't think about them having to give up running. I'm glad you caught it."

  "Are we ready?" He asks draining his coffee. Me and Tiny stand and put our cups in the sink. Riding through the backyard I'm bothered by him sitting behind me. Tiny is to my right.

  We get to the Bakery and park. The Officers pull in behind us. I look around and smile. The fence and parking lot look nice. Like it's always been here. I throw chin to the guard at the Center's lot. Our women are protected here. The neighbors are happy with the changes throwing relief on us, it'd cost a fortune to buy them all out. Fuckin Danny would though. I smile; he'd do anything to keep Kate safe. We walk into the Bakery and I laugh. Peg has the tables put together and pastries in the center. Our coffees are being made; some are already on the counter. She shoos us away and brings them over as we sit. Once everyone has food and coffee in them we start.

  I get everyone up to speed on the old business then the money. Steve tells about the new Security division for the Officers and families. Danny talks about the houses to be leveled and the ones being renovated. Tiny gives us the moving schedule and how it will be handled. Jake helped him out with how the Baxter's handle moving. It's a good system. Geek compliments Bull with his hacking skills and wants him to work Computer Security full time. Doc needs more room and some help in the clinic. More Brothers and families are coming to him. We vote to expand the clinic and tell him to hire his help. Patches asks if we'll still have to deal with Tracy causing trouble. Everyone looks at him. Rich says never again. I wait for him to get that. No one else has questions or problems today so we ride. In Newport we ride twelve mile drive then head back. It's a fuckin beautiful day; riding with my Brothers fills me with pride. We've come a long way and it was worth every fight, every war and every penny.

  Kate

  At the Club, the old ladies are getting food put out. The Prospects have the drinks in coolers. The Little Brothers and Sisters have barrels and recycle bins out and the games ready. The Brothers have tables and chairs in place. All we're missing are the Officers. Just as I think it I hear bikes coming up the hill. The gate is opened and they ride in. Every one of them is smiling. They shock me stopping for Kelly to get a picture. Even freakin Steve is smiling. Freakin Steve, now he smiles for a picture.

  When the pictures are taken the Officers find their women. Danny kisses me to the kids hacking noises. Ben laughs and kisses my lips giving me a squeeze on my ass. I moan and he looks at me.

  Danny smiles leaning into us. "I think Beautiful Kate is ready. Tonight we'll take care of that for you baby." I moan. Freakin men, nothing is a surprise with him. I kiss his cheek and go to the kids’ room checking on my baby girl and little man. Millie is here today watching the babies with two seniors. This leaves all the moms relieved. We can have fun without the worry.

  When I come out Ben is gathering the Officers on the side stairs. Kelly is snapping pictures. Ben introduces his Officers with pride. I'm so proud of him I can't help my smile. He gives a short speech that I'm not paying attention to because Danny is looking at me the whole time. I keep thinking about tonight and I'm wet. Freakin Danny knows it. I'm brought back to now by a helicopter landing outside the gate. Everyone is laughing about something Ben said. He asks for the new Brothers to step forward and Cloud comes running up asking if he's late.

  "Too fuckin late again Cloud." Steve cracks us all up. Ben tells him his timing is perfect. Cloud throws the finger at Steve.

  Tiny and Petey carry cuts up to Ben. Danny stands beside Jake, Steve stands beside Cloud and the other Officers stand with Brothers I don't know. They put their hands on their guys shoulder while Ben talks. It's a moving speech and I'm so proud to get to see it. We never see this side of the Club. When he's finished he introduces the new Brothers, everyone laughs when Jake says, "you fuckin kidding?" I guess he didn't know he was a Brother. They keep moving and he introduces the new Associates. Patches is so proud. Steve hugs Cloud. When the adults are done Ben calls for the new Little Brothers and Sisters. Tess stands with Kelly and Penny. We watch Little Ben and Ben give the cuts to the kids telling them they are a symbol of the Brotherhood and what that means. I'm crying by the end. Freakin hormones. Everyone claps and whistles.

  Ben raises his hand and Tiny lets out a whistle. Everyone quiets, "go have fun Brothers. Buy your new Brothers a drink, eat, drink, do whatever the fuck makes you happy." A cheer goes up making me laugh.

  I move up to the stairs and hear Cloud say he has to go back to work. He runs to the helicopter. I crack up. Freakin guy drives a helicopter to work. Ben kisses my lips, "let's get a drink baby." He puts his arm around me guiding me to the coolers. I take a wine cooler, he grabs a water.

  "That was really nice. I didn't know you had a ceremony for all the Brothers. It was moving, I cried."

  "It's a special day when you get the Officer cut and the Brothers cuts. It's an acceptance into the Brotherhood. These men and even the kids had to prove themselves to get it. The ceremony tells them we saw, we appreciated and we recognize them in our family." He's so passionate I have tears in my eyes again. He's so freakin special I wonder if he knows it.

  "You're an incredible man Ben James, I'm proud of you." I laugh at the surprise on his face. "I love that you don't brag about it, your humbleness is very attractive my Badass Biker man." He just smiles like it’s a nice surprise. I lift up and kiss his lips. "I love you." I'm grabbed around the middle. Ally wants to go with Tess and the Little Sisters for a lesson on dirt cups. Since I don't know what a freakin dirt cup is I tell her ‘of course’ hoping there aren't worms involved.

  Danny catches my waist when I'm about to turn, "nothing's happening for at least an hour. Patches has the boys, Tess has Ally and Millie kicked me out of the kids’ room saying to go have fun. My kind of fun is showing my Beautiful K some attention and giving her that relief she needs. We got a bed right inside, let's go baby." Wow! My panties just got wetter and a shiver travels down my back.

  I look around for Ben but don't see him. Danny holds my hand and walks as if he's on a mission. After more than six weeks I guess he must be. When he opens the door Ben is taking his shirt off. I smile up at Danny. "I wouldn't care either way if it was any other day. Your first time after a baby is special Beautiful K. The kind that is shared by all of us." Freakin Badass Pirate thoughtful damn man! I have tears in my eyes. He kisses me making me forget them. Ben strips me from my waist down. He slides his hands up my legs feeling every bit of me. Holy Crap! I am wet. Danny raises his head and pulls my shirt off then my bra. Ben lifts me and carries me into the bathroom, the tub is filled. I smile at him. Danny gets in and kneels down. Ben turns me so I straddle him then kneels in front of Danny. This is new and I'm freakin hot. "You move up on your knees and take what you need baby." Danny says with his mouth by my ear. His hands find my jewels.

  Fuck that feels good. I lift up and Ben holds himself for me to slide on. "Fuck that's so good." I moan as I slide down him. Danny is kissing my neck and ear. Ben talks to me about how fuckin good it feels. Danny pinches my nipples and I'm freakin gone.

I try to help get me on him again Danny chuckles and lifts me up then moves me up and down on Ben's dick. I find it so fuckin erotic I come again right away. Ben comes right after.   Once Danny washes me Ben dries me and gets my clothes back on. They bring a very relaxed me back to the party. I crack up when I see Jess; she's as relaxed as I am. She gives me that knowing smile.

  My sexy men go do whatever sexy men do and I sit with the old ladies. I feed Brenna and find Devan gone. Danny and Ben took him to see the games. They are perfect. Even Millie says so.

  Fifty Two

  Two Months

  After the kids go to bed I go over to the new gazebo. It's really a free standing patio. It's screened and has glass all the way around it. I used the beams from the houses we leveled. Like a pole house but made with beams. The old ladies decorated it with couches, chairs and a kitchen table. It's perfect. Rich, Steve, Tiny and Casper come out every night too. Sometimes we're only here for a few minutes, sometimes an hour. There are days no one says a word and we're all good with that. One day Casper asked why Ben and Patches don't come out. I told him Ben uses the time for catching up on his email and phone calls sometimes his schedule. Rich says Patches does the same. We shake our heads smiling at each other. They're so different but the same. We both know they need their time with Tess and Kate. They have a need to connect that I guess me and Rich don't. I feel the connection all the time. I looked at him and wondered if he did too.
