Year of the Zombie [Anthology] Page 57

by David Moody

  He was in charge now.

Get the dead looking in the opposite direction, then get anyone still left alive over here and into the building. I’ll start with Jessica in the phone box and see where we go from there.

The sun was beginning to rise.

Christmas Eve. The big day was tomorrow.

Howard was looking forward to Christmas, and there was no damn way he was going to let it be his last.

  SEAN T. PAGE

  www.ministryofzombies.com

Is an office drone by day but by night wears his underpants on the outside of his trousers and delves into the murky world of zombie fiction. His Haynes Zombie Survival Manual is a best-seller in the UK and he has published numerous books and short stories, mostly about dead stuff and some of which are good, some crap. He’s done cool stuff like TV documentaries on the end of the world for Channel 5 and lectures to university students on why zombie fiction is so popular. But, he’s also done some rubbish things as well, like spending years on a ‘choose your own adventure’ zombie tale which never saw the light of day. In 2013, he spent 6 days alone sealed in a Cold War bunker. And, yes, there were plenty of mannequins around.

  SCOTT MCGLASSON

  www.facebook.com/authorscottmcglasson

Is a former member of the US Air Force. He spent nearly a decade as a rock radio personality before getting a “real” job in logistics. He spends what little free time he has herding cats managing the Space Opera and Space Opera: Writers groups on Facebook. An extremely prolific writer, Matt Shaw he is currently directing his first feature film - MONSTER.

  WAYNE SIMMONS

  www.facebook.com/authorwaynesimmons

A regular contributor to Skin Deep Tattoo Magazine, he currently lives in Wales with his ghoulfriend and a Jack Russell terrier called Dita.

  DAVID MOODY

  www.davidmoody.net

A pioneer of independent publishing, DAVID MOODY first released HATER in 2006, and without an agent, succeeded in selling the film rights for the novel to Mark Johnson (producer, Breaking Bad) and Guillermo Del Toro (director, The Shape of Water, Pan's Labyrinth). Moody's seminal zombie novel AUTUMN was made into an (admittedly terrible) movie starring Dexter Fletcher and David Carradine. He has a unhealthy fascination with the end of the world and likes to write books about ordinary folks going through absolute hell. With the publication of a new series of Hater stories, Moody is poised to further his reputation as a writer of suspense-laced SF/horror, and "farther out" genre books of all description.
