Seeing Her Page 9

by Maria Jackson

Chloe didn’t want to stare, so she glanced away. She saw Paula watching Jennie, and noticed how she frowned. Chloe looked back at the group. Jennie was gone.

When she got a minute, Chloe went over to the change room to grab a sip of water. She was thirsty and a little tired.

Jennie was already there by the time she got into the change room. Chloe tensed, not quite sure how to act toward her. Despite everything, she still lacked the confidence to touch or kiss her without prompting.

But Jennie didn’t hesitate to grab her and give her a big peck on the lips. Chloe sank into the embrace, enjoying the feel of it. Jennie was so good to her. They actually might be the first official couple in the restaurant if things kept going this way.

“How are you?” Chloe asked, her body thrumming with pleasure. “How’s your night going?”

Jennie smiled at her. She had never seen Jennie smile like that at anyone. The smile she always gave the customers was fake, that much she knew, but this smile of pure happiness was new even between the two of them.

“My night’s okay,” Jennie said. “Thanks for asking. It’s nice to have somebody care.”

“Of course I care,” Chloe said. “Have you made a lot of tips?”

Jennie shrugged. “I made some money. It’s more than usual.”

She glanced over at her locker, and Chloe wondered what she had been putting into it. She hadn’t had the chance to see before she got here.

“How is yours?” Jennie said. “Have you talked to that bachelor group?”

“Not yet, thankfully,” Chloe said. “I hate men like that. They’re usually so rude.”

“You’re telling me,” Jennie said. “They were talking about how they don’t like gingers.”

“You’re not a ginger,” Chloe said, running her fingers through a few of the fine strands on Jennie’s nape. “You just have auburn hair.”

  “I guess that’s considered ginger.”

“Whatever it is, I love it,” Chloe said. “But you knew that by now.”

“I sure did,” Jennie said, pulling Chloe into her arms again. They kissed for a long moment. Blood rushed to Chloe’s groin at the feel of Jennie’s lips. Being here with Jennie in private made her want more than kissing. She was going to go further with Jennie the first chance she got.

If only this kiss didn’t have to end. She could have stayed here making out with Jennie for the rest of the shift if she’d been able to. As long as Jennie didn’t get bored with her, she could see them doing a lot more than this together. Chloe wanted to explore, to see what her body was capable of.

“Fuck,” Chloe groaned. “You’re driving me crazy.”

“Join the club,” Jennie said. “Just looking at you gets me all worked up. It’s going to be rough to get through the night now that I’ve touched you.” She gave Chloe’s ass a squeeze as if to punctuate the statement.

It was only fair for Chloe to squeeze her ass in return. Bad idea. That made her clit even harder. Too bad they were right in the middle of the change room.

“I really am turning you on, aren’t I?” Jennie asked, her voice husky. She pressed against Chloe, which made matters even worse.

With Jennie, Chloe could let her sass come out. “That’s news to you?”

Instinct took over, overshadowing her fear. Even knowing it was only going to make this worse, Chloe ground a thigh between Jennie’s leg. Their chests pressed together. Only a few layers of fabric were between them.

Jennie gave her neck a nibble. “No… I’m just excited for what might happen next.”

Grabbing her waist, Jennie slid her heat along Chloe’s thigh. Chloe let out a soft gasp. Jennie had her going crazy with desire. Considering that Jennie wasn’t doing anything to her, the contact affected her far more than it should have.

“You really want something to happen next? Now?” Chloe’s voice was tight. If she let herself go with this, she was going to be in trouble shortly. It was nearly too late to back out.

“I could think of some better times and places,” Jennie whispered. “But if you were to suggest it, I wouldn’t say no.” She reached for Chloe, making her shudder in pleasure.

Trying to steady herself, Chloe let her back hit the locker. The cold metal wasn’t enough of a shock to diminish her arousal. “Really?” It would be crazy to do anything now, and yet she couldn’t help herself.

Jennie pushed against her, reminding her that she wasn’t the only one in need. “Let me just say hi.” Her hand slid lightly downward, cupping Chloe’s groin.

This was somehow even hotter than the time they’d been in Jennie’s room. There was no way she was going to get off when someone could walk in at any moment and interrupt them. But she would go with this for as long as it lasted.

Panting in anticipation, Chloe reached out to do the same to Jennie. “Hello to you, too.”

Jennie hummed out in pleasure. “What else do you want to say to her?”

“That I want to see her.” Chloe slipped her fingers down Jennie’s shorts. She was velvety and smooth, and all wet already. “And I can’t wait until I can play with her some more.”

Jennie put her hand in Chloe’s shorts now, too, and she moved her finger across Chloe’s clit. Chloe gasped softly, and her head arched back against the locker.

“I like that,” Jennie said. “Tell me what else is on your mind.”

Chloe moved her hand faster, hoping that Jennie was feeling a fraction of the things she was feeling. Heat was rising inside her, and electricity pulsed in her body. She couldn’t think straight enough to play this game anymore.

“I want you to fuck me,” she breathed desperately. Even if she was aware enough to know it couldn’t happen now, it was still all she could think about.

  “Oh, I intend to.”

Chloe let out a sound, something between a choke and a gasp. “When?” she begged.

Jennie tightened her grip. “As soon as humanly possible.”

Chloe couldn’t control herself anymore. The mere idea of Jennie licking and fingering her was too much to bear. She could practically feel it happening. She pictured herself on her back with Jennie down between her thighs, her legs lifted in the air to allow Jennie to do whatever she liked.

Her legs shook under her, and she crashed against the locker door. She reached out and grabbed Jennie’s arm as her world narrowed to a fine point. When her eyes opened, Jennie pulled away. As Chloe sank onto the bench, she heard water running. When Jennie was back at her side, she put her arms around her and Chloe leaned into her chest.

Resting her head on Jennie’s shoulder, Chloe was aware that she still needed to satisfy her. She was just going to take a moment to breathe, and then she would try to give Jennie some fraction of the pleasure she’d just felt.

They were still holding each other when the door popped open. They pulled apart, both jumping away from the other at once.

Chloe felt the lack of Jennie’s presence as Alyssa walked in. “What’s up?”

Chloe cursed her in her mind.

  “Not much,” Jennie said.

  FOURTEEN

Jennie watched Chloe walk out of the change room. The sight of her graceful back in the tied-off tank top, not to mention the way the booty shorts cut just above Chloe’s butt cheeks, made Jennie lick her lips. She might need a cold shower after what she’d just been through. Even that might not quite kill her desire.

“Everything good?” Alyssa asked, swinging her locker door open.

  “Yeah, of course.”

Jennie squeezed her fists and released them, hoping that would draw some of the blood away from her clit. She couldn’t sit here squirming forever. Alyssa was going to figure out what was up soon enough.

“All right, cool. Wasn’t sure if I was interrupting something.”

She banged the locker shut and left. Jennie took a deep breath, tempted to go in the bathroom and take care of this herself. She wanted to wait, though. She would definitely be seeing Chloe again soon.
And she was going to get exactly what she wanted from her.

God, it had been such a turn-on when Chloe said she wanted to be fucked. Jennie could have come right then and there. She could hardly wait until it actually happened. She was going to come the second her tongue made contact with Chloe’s clit. How had she ever overlooked Chloe for so long? And how could it be that Chloe was actually interested in her?

After neatening herself up, she turned to her locker and rummaged for her wallet. She had to go give Tony his stupid cut, so she headed over to Tony’s office.

She scowled as she said hello to the manager. Even after the heated moment with Chloe, talking to Tony put her in a bad mood.

“Shut the door behind you,” Tony said, looking up at her. “How much is it?”

While the thought crossed Jennie’s mind to short Tony, she tossed a crumpled handful of bills down on the table. Still standing, she watched as he counted them. As little as he deserved this money, Jennie would be honest.

She put her hands in her pockets as she walked out of the room, trying to find the reason for her scowl. It wasn’t hard to do. She was still doing the same scummy work as she’d done when she was sixteen.

With the amount those men had drank, the cocaine would completely fuck them up. They wanted to party, but Jennie knew they wouldn’t do it responsibly. The drugs had fucked up her life when she was younger, and it hadn’t been easy to get off them. She could be fucking up those lives just as badly.

Nothing had changed in her life. She might even be worse off now than she was as a teenager, because now she was also giving a cut to someone else. At least back in the day she’d been able to keep every penny for herself.

Still, she was also making money from waitressing, and the owner had asked her personally to do this. It would only be good for her job. This was a new income stream, which was a good thing. Theoretically, Tony would like her more for this.

Jennie was still feeling annoyed when she walked back out to the main room. The men in the bachelor party looked pretty buzzed. They had pushed aside their little tables to form a makeshift dance floor in the middle of the room, and were now dancing and leering at the waitresses. Even the ones who hadn’t gotten high were picking up on the others’ energy.

Jennie had tables to serve. She had probably kept a few people waiting already, come to think about it. Between the drugs and Chloe, she’d had other things to think about all night. Hopefully someone else had jumped in to help out.

As she headed for the front of the room, the groom caught her eye. “There’s our hero!” he exclaimed loud enough for everyone to hear. “Thank you so, so much. I want to see you back there again in a minute. I need some more, and a couple more of my buddies want to try too.”

Jennie grimaced. Did the man have any common sense whatsoever? The table was full of her friends and the other waitresses, including… Paula. The death glare Paula was giving Jennie made her skin bristle. She ignored her, looking at the girl instead and trying to smile.

“That sounds good. I can get you your dessert in a few minutes. I’m about to help some other customers.”

The groom looked at her as if she was crazy. “We’re not asking for dessert! I’m talking about the – ”

Jennie rolled her eyes as she took a step toward him. “I know what you’re saying,” she whispered into his ear. “Not everyone needs to know, all right? I’ll see you in a few minutes.”

Now his jaw went slack, and he nodded as if he was in on some big secret. “Oh, I get it. I’m looking forward to my private dance, then.”

It was almost laughable. He couldn’t have been any more obvious if he’d actually winked at her. Well, it didn’t matter too much if Paula figured it out. Jennie was only doing this on Tony’s own orders. Whatever Paula personally thought, she wouldn’t go against Tony.

She headed to another table, a normal table. The smile she pasted onto her face was a grim one. This was going to be a long night.

Before asking if the customers needed anything, she glanced around the room. Her eyes fell on Chloe, who was standing by the wall. Chloe smiled at her, and Jennie couldn’t help but give her a real smile back.

There was something pure and genuine about Chloe. Somehow, seeing her made Jennie feel better.

  FIFTEEN

After Jennie broke their eye contact, Chloe stared after her for a long moment. Jennie was too sexy for words. Alone by the wall, she could fantasize to her heart’s content about the things she wanted to do with that girl. What had happened earlier had almost made things worse. Getting a taste of Jennie was only a tease. Chloe wanted all of her.

Chloe knew that gazing after her for a long amount of time would bring suspicion onto both of them. She just couldn’t help herself. When Jennie was in the room, Chloe had to look at her. The attraction was magnetic – and she had no reason to fight it.

She was so caught up in looking at Jennie that she didn’t notice the customer until he was right beside her. “Hey,” he said, a drop of his beer splashing on the floor.

Chloe jumped. “Hello.” Being caught off guard made her even more tense than usual. Being cute or flirty was out of the question.

The man almost trembled as he said, “I was wondering if you could pose for some pictures with us.”

Chloe looked at the man more closely, realizing belatedly that he was from the bachelor group. This could be unpleasant, but she wasn’t supposed to say no. “Of course.”

At the table, the whole group welcomed her. Kylie and Paula were already there, both with their arms around the groom himself.

Chloe’s arrival got their attention regardless. “Wow, this one is so pretty,” one man said.

“She sure is, and she’s standing by me in the picture, so back off,” the other man said. “I’m Steve, by the way, honey.”

  “Chloe.”

Before she could get in position, two of the other men descended on her. “You really are gorgeous, Chloe. Your body is amazing.” One touched her lower back, while the first man tried to shoo her away.

Chloe was overwhelmed, but she tried to play it cool. “Thank you.” Her script wasn’t going to work with this group. There were too many of them, and they were too drunk. As she glanced around, she couldn’t pick out one that seemed anywhere close to sober.

“She’s so sexy,” one whined. “I wish my wife had a body like this.”

He was acting different from most of the other men that came here. Instead of being awkward and slightly shy, his movements were jerky and almost aggressive. As Chloe looked at the groom’s dilated eyes, she wondered if they might even be high.

All three of the men in this group were touching her now, fawning over her body. “Your figure is insane,” one said.

This one’s pupils were wide, too. Chloe couldn’t even see his irises. He was talking strangely, too. His movements were a little too fast, kind of fidgety, as if he’d been sped up.

It was too much of a coincidence that more than one of them could look like this. They were definitely high. Chloe looked around uneasily. Maybe she should report this to somebody. No, they were handling themselves well enough. People had been high in here before.

But where had they gotten the drugs? Had they brought them in? Or… had someone in here sold it to them?

Chloe’s stomach felt funny. There was only one waitress who was known for selling drugs. But Jennie wouldn’t do something like that. She sold to her coworkers, all of whom knew not to do drugs on the premises. She wouldn’t sell them to customers for them to take here. It was a very different situation.

“So damn sexy,” Steve enthused. “Are you seeing anyone?”

Blushing again, Chloe tore her mind off the knots in her stomach. She wasn’t sure if it was too early to answer. “I was supposed to take a picture with you.”

Steve gave her a light slap, clearly trying to flirt. “You didn’t answer my question. Are you trying to avoid the question?”

  “I’d rather take t
he picture.” That would stop this conversation, which had her blushing like a fire hydrant.

“No, we’re all curious now,” one of the others said. “Do you have someone?” He licked her lips.

Chloe raised her shoulders slightly, trying to act nonchalant about it. “Yes, I do.”

The three men groaned. “There’s always a boyfriend,” Steve said with disappointment.

Chloe had to smile. Or a girlfriend. She just wished she knew for sure that Jennie wasn’t doing anything wrong.

“Now, that picture,” she said, turning back to Steve. She put on a bright smile and placed her arm around him, internally breathing a sigh of relief. She could leave in a few seconds, and this would all be over with.

After the camera phone clicked, Steve pushed another bill into her underwear. “Could I have another picture?”

“No fair! Share,” one of his friends said.

Chloe couldn’t leave yet, after all. At least the customers wouldn’t make her talk while they were taking pictures. She turned to the friend. “How about one picture with you, and then another with him?” That seemed acceptable to them, so she gave another big smile.

Chloe was starting to relax when she heard Paula’s raised voice cut through the other noise. She tried to continue as if nothing was happening, but everyone around her was stopping to stare. The other waitresses had stopped moving wherever they stood.

In the back of the room, Paula was yelling at Jennie. They were both flushed red, and the sight of Jennie’s pink cheeks would have turned Chloe on if she hadn’t lost her breath out of fear.

Chloe struggled to make out some of the words. “This restaurant… inappropriate… illegal substances…”

What was going on? Chloe’s heart dropped, and she hoped the first guess that came to her mind was wrong. If Jennie had done something wrong, would Chloe support her? Or would she back up Paula, her oldest friend?

The more immediate question was what to do right now. Chloe looked around, wishing someone would tell her what to do. She couldn’t continue chatting up customers, but standing here and staring made her feel more helpless.
