  Jeffrey Ricker’s (jeffreyricker.wordpress.com) first novel, Detours, was published in 2011 by Bold Strokes Books. His writing has appeared in the anthologies Paws and Reflect, Fool for Love: New Gay Fiction, Blood Sacraments, Men of the Mean Streets, Speaking Out, Riding the Rails, and others. He is currently finishing his second novel and pursuing an MFA in creative writing at the University of British Columbia. When class is out, he lives in St. Louis with his partner, Michael, and two dogs.

  Carol Rosenfeld is a New York City–based writer and poet who has three novels in progress. Her short stories have appeared in Best Lesbian Erotica 2003 (Cleis, 2003), Shadows of the Night: Queer Tales of the Uncanny and Unusual (Harrington Park Press, 2004) and Back to Basics: A Butch-Femme Anthology (Bella Books, 2004). Carol is the volunteer chair of the Publishing Triangle and blogs occasionally at crosenyc.wordpress.com.

  Michael Rowe (michaelrowe.com) is the author of the novel Enter, Night, hailed by Barnes & Noble as “the vampire fiction release of the year.” An award-winning journalist, essayist, and editor, he lives in Toronto and welcomes readers at his website.

  Carsen Taite (carsentaite.com) works by day (and sometimes night) as a criminal defense attorney in Dallas, Texas. Her goal as an author is to spin plot lines as interesting as the cases she encounters in her practice. She is the author of six previously released novels: truelesbianlove.com, It Should be a Crime (a Lambda Literary Award finalist), Do Not Disturb, Nothing but the Truth, The Best Defense, and Slingshot. Her seventh novel, Beyond Innocence, is scheduled for release in November 2012.

  Lee Thomas is the Lambda Literary Award and Bram Stoker Award—winning author of The Dust of Wonderland, In the Closet Under the Bed, The German, and Torn. Forthcoming releases include the novel Ash Street and the short story collection Like Light for Flies.

  The Editors

  Greg Herren is an award-winning author and editor who lives in New Orleans. He writes two mystery series, the Chanse MacLeod mysteries and the Scotty Bradley adventures. He has been nominated ten times for a Lambda Literary Award, winning for Murder in the Rue Chartres (Men’s Mystery) and Love Bourbon Street: Reflections on New Orleans (Anthology). He has also published three young adult novels; Sleeping Angel won the Moonbeam Gold Medal for excellence in Children’s/Young Adult Mystery/Horror. He has published over 200 articles of literary criticism and/or author interviews. His short fiction has appeared in numerous award-winning anthologies, including the critically acclaimed New Orleans Noir, Cast of Characters, and in Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine. Former editor of Lambda Book Report, he has also worked as an editor at Bella Books, the Harrington Park Press, and Bold Strokes Books. He has edited twelve anthologies, including Shadows of the Night, Upon a Midnight Clear, and one of the top-selling erotica anthologies of all time, FRATSEX. He is a co-founder of the Saints and Sinners Literary Conference, served for two years on the board of directors of the National Stonewall Democrats, is currently serving as president of the Southwest Chapter of the Mystery Writers of America, and is chairing the 2013 Bram Stoker Awards Weekend/World Horror Convention in New Orleans. He has served as a judge for the Lambda Literary Awards, the Hammett Prize, the Edgar Allan Poe Award, and the Stoker Award. His blog can be found at http://scottynola.livejournal.com.   J. M. Redmann is the author of a mystery series featuring New Orleans private detective Michele “Micky” Knight. Her latest novel is Ill Will. The previous book, Water Mark, won an Over the Rainbow award from the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Roundtable of the American Library Association, a ForeWord Gold First Place mystery award, and was shortlisted for a Lambda Literary Award. Two of her earlier books, The Intersection of Law and Desire and Death of a Dying Man, have won Lambda Literary Awards; all but her first book have been nominated. The Intersection of Law and Desire was also an Editor’s Choice of the San Francisco Chronicle and a recommended holiday book by Maureen Corrigan of NPR’s Fresh Air; it and Lost Daughters were originally published by W.W. Norton. Redmann was a 2010 recipient of the Alice B. Readers Appreciation Award, gave the keynote address at the Golden Crown Literary Society Conference in 2009, in 2006 was inducted as a Literary Saint into the Saints and Sinners Hall of Fame, and in 2011 was an invited speaker to Vassar’s 150th anniversary LGBTQ conference Smashing History. Her books have been translated into Spanish, German, Dutch, Norwegian, and Hebrew, and one short story even made it into Korean. She was the co-editor with Greg Herren of two anthologies, Women of the Mean Streets: Lesbian Noir and Men of the Mean Streets: Gay Noir. Redmann lives in a historic neighborhood in New Orleans, at the edge of the area that flooded.
