She felt his lips stretch into a smile at her neck.
“Oh, and remember,” she added. “I’m the one who kissed you first. It was during Mission Superstar.” In the movie, which was also named Mission Superstar, Dhruv was the one who was supposed to have dramatically swept her into his arms before kissing her for the first time.
He raised his head with his eyes shining in amusement. “I doubt if I would ever forget even a single second of Mission Superstar. Our Mission Superstar.”
Shilpa laughed. And then she held her husband’s head and pulled his mouth towards her for a long, passionate kiss.
Over the years, during her career, she had been through several missions. But Mission Superstar was by far the most memorable and the most successful one.

Although I had taken quite a liberal artistic license for the sake of dramatizing and making the story more entertaining, the research I had done on lives of police officers and some of the cases they dealt with were real.
Hope you liked the character of Shilpa Dasani as a tough police officer, but with real human flaws. I found it very fascinating that Shilpa wasn’t the kind to back away from dangerous jobs and would willingly give up her life if needed in the line of duty. However, when it came to her personal life, she didn’t want to risk emotional attachments as she could not bear the thought of losing a loved one. I’m glad Dhruv Jagannath who was a true superstar, not just in the reel world, but also outside it, helped Shilpa overcome those fears.
