Enrique called Jennifer daily and she updated him on Roberto’s condition. He wanted to know when they would see each other. His new living quarters were not nearly as nice as his previous apartment. He had to once again pay for his own rent and this was affecting him. He wanted to be pampered by Jennifer and he longed to be with her again. He knew her mother wanted her to forget him. But he wasn’t about to lose the one woman he’d ever loved. They hadn’t seen each other in over a week and he convinced Jennifer to meet him at the River Walk. This would bring back memories of their first day together.
They met at the secluded Dolores del Rio restaurant on the River Walk. They couldn’t keep their eyes away from each other. It seemed like an eternity from the last time they had been together. When he saw her he wrapped his arms around her and she was crying both tears of joy and sadness. She had to come to a decision. She knew her conscience wouldn’t allow her to continue living this double life. She had to choose between Enrique and Roberto.
Enrique had shown her a love she had never known before and she had fallen madly in love with him.
Enrique was certain that Jennifer was coming back to him. She wouldn’t go back to Roberto knowing how delicate his health was. By her coming here it meant she wanted to be with him and not Roberto. He already had their lives planned out. They would move into a nice home and they would start a family together. With her money he would start a construction company. He would love her children even though he knew they would be living with their father. But he would do everything possible to make her happy. She had given him the best time of his life. They would spend it together forever.
“It’s nice to see you again, Enrique. I missed seeing you so much. Just looking into your eyes makes me feel good about living. You have made me so happy.” Jennifer was crying and Enrique took his right hand and wiped her tears.
“You don’t know how much I wanted to see you, Jennifer. My life hasn’t been the same without you. I know how much you’ve suffered lately and I have been suffering along with you. But now everything will change. We will be together forever. Nothing is going to keep us apart ever again.”
“Enrique, I love you so much. I have never loved anyone the way I’ve loved you. You brought me into a whole new world and I’ll never forget that.”
She reached over to him and placed her right hand on his face. She stroked her fingers on his cheeks softly demonstrating her love for him. She continued talking even when he wanted to interrupt her.
“I’m so confused, Enrique. I want to be with you forever. Please, don’t ever leave me. I need you in my life. Te quiero mucho, mi amor.”
“I love you very much too, Jennifer. I never thought I would fall in love in San Antonio. I see your face in everyone woman I meet. You are the most beautiful woman in the world. Eres la mujer más bella del mundo. No one compares to you.”
They kissed passionately and couldn’t stay away from each other.
They stayed at the restaurant for three hours and then they rented a room at the beautiful La Mansion del Rio hotel where they spent the afternoon together.
They made raw, passionate love, savoring each other’s skin, and leaving all inhibitions behind.
