Each hit on his skin made me wince, but he only came back harder. The crowd was loving him tonight, feeling his strength, and knowing he was a winner.
I watched Harry spur him on from the corner of the ring, looking tough but proud of him. Will was next to Harry, also shouting at him excitedly, because he knew his best friend was going to take it all tonight. Will had been busy talking to people and taking call after call with bets earlier on in the night.
Zac was sitting beside me, his elbows on his knees, watching each calculated move with intensity. Ava cheered excitedly next to him, while Janey snuck glances over at Will. I was yet to hear about their interesting relationship, but looked forward to getting to know her better.
Noah was so lucky to have these best friends, and now I got to have them, too. I also got to have the perfect guy, who thought the world of me, just like I did of him. He was that perfect piece of my life that I savored each and every day, forever lucky.

Noah
“This place is awesome,” exclaimed Ava looking around at our house.
“You sure it’s big enough?” asked Janey with a laugh.
“I’ve never had any complaints,” I answered with a smirk.
Grinning at the double meaning, she said, “Eww, I don’t even want to know about that.”
“Know about what?” asked Ivy coming out from the kitchen with drinks in her hands.
The sight of her tattooed body in a bikini always did crazy things to me, and I suddenly wanted to tell everyone to leave.
“The size of his manhood,” said Janey rolling her eyes.
“Speaking of large members, I’m here now, so no fear,” said Will coming down the stairs. He had moved in here yesterday to his own room and the Will I knew was finally back. Between temporarily living in his family’s world again and dealing with a disappearing Janey, the guy had lost some of his zest for life lately.
I watched Janey look anywhere in the room but him, her shoulders tensing. I needed to find out what the hell was really going on with those two, but as Ivy went over to pass out beers, my mind went completely blank and into a lust haze. She was laughing at something Will was saying. The sight of her relaxed and laughing was something to behold and cherish, along with her beautiful ass in her bikini.
“Right, beer and pizza. Where’s the pool?” asked Zac, carrying boxes of pizzas in his arms as he nudged the front door closed behind him.
I took them through the house and the kitchen, which gave me a chance to squeeze Ivy on the ass and grab a quick kiss. I couldn’t get enough of her. We had finally moved out of Zac’s place and were now in our own home. Money from my fight and money from a new updated legal will from her deceased father had made this place possible.
Ivy had wanted nothing to do with her father’s money at first, but once I could show her that all of this only helped us be together, against the world, she had agreed. She had deposited some of the money into her mother’s bank account and had also got Zac to put a sum of money into Mason’s bank account, too. He would never have to work again.
My father hadn’t spoken to me. I didn’t really care if he ever did. The less we saw of each other, the less he could try and control me. That was a good thing.
Before Richard’s death, my father had paid him off to avoid any charges pressed against me, so I returned the favor. One day at the office, he received a crate of wine from me. Bottles worth a hundred grand each. I no longer owed him anything, and I hoped he enjoyed the wine.
My mother visited us often, loving that I was happy with my life, and that I was doing it with Ivy. She only made me promise one thing. To stop fighting. I was thinking about it, at least.
College was still our focus, and we both continued with our studies. Who the hell knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, but hey, I was prepared to enjoy the ride and see where it took me.
“Do you want a beer, too?” asked Ivy watching the others walk out to the pool. Zac did a dive-bomb into the water and she smiled with fondness.
“Can I have you instead?” I asked, looking down at her perfect breasts teasing me in the scrap of material she called a bikini.
I suddenly wanted nothing but her, preferably naked and under me.
“Later,” she said with a laugh, passing me a beer.
I leaned into her, breathing into her ear as I nibbled at her ear lobe. I then pulled her against me so she could feel what she did to me. Always.
She giggled at my lips on her neck and said, “I promise, later.”
My hand went into her bikini bottoms and I cupped one of her perfectly rounded cheeks. I felt her gasp and I kissed her shoulder. I looked at her new tattoo. There were six black birds flying and the two larger ones represented her and I. Freedom, together.
She hadn’t told the others in the group that the other black birds represented each one of them. I personally didn’t want Will knowing he had anything of him represented on my girl’s skin.
I kissed her lips, savoring them once more before I needed to pull myself away. I was insatiable with her, and we had tried it on anything and everything, since we had moved in. I truly could not get enough of her.
Sometimes I could still see the fear in her eyes, and the haunting memories that would come in flashes, but I was determined to replace everything with new memories. She was a part of me now, and there wasn’t a thing I missed.
“Let’s swim,” she breathed, pulling herself out of our embrace.
Her eyes were lit up with desire for me and only me. She headed over to the doors leading to the outdoor pool and turned to look back at me.
I drank her in, every delicious inch of her, and I felt a bolt of pure happiness.
She was all mine.
And I was one lucky bad ass.
