Memoirs of a Wild Child Page 20

by P Lewis, Cassandra

There’s been ups and downs on this rollercoaster life of mine, but I made it, I found my prince, and hey… maybe it is a fairytale after all!

  Stay classy, Vinster,

  Just the beginning…

  Acknowledgements

When I finished writing Marrying Mr Write, as far as I was concerned, I was done with that story and those characters. Little did I know though, they had other ideas…

  They wouldn’t shut up!

I wrote Love is... Rafe & Matthew’s story next, and it was a real labour of love.

It was important to me to write a gay romance, where love, and not sexuality, was the focus. Then once that was published, I tried again to move on. I started writing lots of other things, new characters, new stories, even different genres, but Pippa Carvalho wanted her limelight, so I gave it to her.

I don’t know if I’ll ever write a female character quite like Pippa, ever again.

She’s animated, funny, loyal, loving and honest.

She’s everything that every woman should be in a friend.

She’s everything every woman should have in a friend.

Pippa is an amalgamation of my closest circle of ‘girls’… with a bit of me thrown in there too. Therefore, my acknowledgements for this book are simple,

  To my girls

  (You know who you are)

I could never have done this without you, any of it.

  I love you

  About the Author

I live in a place called Swadlincote, in the very middle of England, with my husband Aaron and dog Busby.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved to read. I revel in the feeling of getting totally sucked into a story, imagining a place and experiencing the lives of the characters, but more than that, I have always been fascinated by language. I love the way that some of the brightest pictures are painted using only words.

I started writing after my dad passed away in august 2012 as a way to escape, and also a way to make him proud. Before I knew it had happened, I had the bare bones of a book. As my characters and their story grew, I realised that I had actually done it, I was a writer.

Writing brings me so much joy, that I can’t imagine ever stopping… I just hope you stay on the journey with me.

Stop on by my social media outlets and say hi, and if you enjoyed this book, don’t forget to leave a review.
