Monster Girl Islands 2

Even when the beast flipped back around and started to fly in all sorts of strange patterns as it tried to buck me off, I kept myself focused on my goal. I gripped one scale after the other, my muscles strong but a little shaky from the movement, until I’d finally made it next to the beast’s right wing.

I glanced down to see we weren’t too far off from the camp. Mira had disappeared from the treetops, but I had to trust that she’d caught onto my plan and was heading in the right direction.

So, I took a deep breath to steady myself, drew my sword, drove it straight into the thinnest part of its wing, and hoped the appendage wasn’t made of the same armor the monster’s body was.

  Thankfully, my assumption proved correct.

The sea-glass blade sliced right through the beast’s ugly, pterodactyl-like wing with such ease, the limb might as well have been water. The monster cried out in immense pain, but I ignored it as I sliced my sword up, down, and over in all sorts of crazy, zig zag patterns.

I needed to destroy this wing as much as possible.

As soon as I’d torn through a good section, I felt us lose altitude, and the beast’s wing now looked like shredded paper, thanks to me.

But it wasn’t until the monster flipped over from its newfound lack of balance that I realized I’d just put myself in serious danger.

This was also the exact same moment my body smacked through the top layer of leaves and branches with such immense force, it would have shattered the human body I lived in before.

Both the monster and I banged through the layers of trees, and the squawking cry of the monster was the only thing to be heard for miles. I slammed into branches and vines until I finally thudded onto the hard, dirt floor of the jungle, just before the beast crashed to the ground beside me.

Pain shot through every atom of my being, and the earth shuddered beneath me as the beast twitched and tried to stand atop a pile of branches and leaves crumbled under its figure. The creature appeared dazed, and it wavered on its talons as it shook its massive head and croaked weakly. Dark blood gushed from its mangled wing as it rapidly blinked its huge red eye, but it seemed the monster was unable to focus on anything, since its gaze skipped right on over me.

My mind was still spinning, and I barely had enough time to take a breath before Mira came sprinting out of the foliage, with her sword raised above her head.

“Die!” she shouted as she ran straight up to the beast and drove her sword right through its grotesque red eye.

Even through the pain in my bones, I felt a swell of pride as I watched the beast’s body shudder and squawk one last time before it went still for good.

  “Yes!” I cried out.

Mira stood there and heaved a few breaths over her sword before she yanked it out of the ruined eye. Blood and gore covered both the blade and her, but she didn’t care as she ran over to me.

“Ben, are you alright?” she demanded as she crouched beside me.

“Fine,” I rasped as I slowly stood up, and I could already feel the pain begin to dissipate. This new body was nearly unbreakable.

George and Nixie sprinted out of the trees, and I could feel their worry through our bond until they saw the giant body of the dead beast.

Good job, dear ones, George sighed.

“Thanks,” Mira and I both said in unison. Then we laughed at each other for a brief moment before we turned back to the bird-dinosaur.

“Take that, fucker of mothers!” I hollered at the corpse.

“I hope there aren’t any more of those,” Mira added as she wiped a speck of gore from her cheek. “I am tired of being covered in eye guts.”

“Yeah, they’re pretty gross,” I chuckled.

We found a stream so Mira could wash all the blood off her, with my help, of course, and then we continued to the other side of the mountain, in search of the wood we needed.

I couldn’t help but wonder if Mira was right, though, and if there were more of those monster bird creatures. They seemed to just appear out of nowhere at the most inconvenient times, and I sure as hell didn’t want them to appear when I was off the island.

Yet another thing I needed to consider.

But first things first, I needed to finish my raft. The full moon was rapidly approaching, and Marella’s ominous warning was constantly cycling through my head.

I needed to finish my vessel before the moon grew fat again.

The fate of our island, and all the other islands, depended on it.

  Chapter Sixteen

We didn’t stumble upon any more of those winged beasts during our trek to find the trees, thank the gods. It took another hour of walking, but we circled the mountain and finally found the stream Jonas had described to Mira and me.

The old man told us to follow the stream up the mountain for about a quarter of a mile, and we’d come upon the grove of trees he’d described.

  And sure enough, we did.

I had no idea how Jonas managed to survive all those years alone in this dangerous jungle, but I was so thankful he had. This would have taken Mira and me ages to find if we’d just stumbled around blindly.

“These are perfect,” Mira breathed as she stared at the trees in wide eyed amazement.

There was a small copse of them, only about ten trees, set in a circle in the middle of the jungle, almost like someone had planted them there at some point. It was a bit strange, but I was too taken by their beauty to think much of it.

The trunks were a vibrant, bright green that looked like it had been painted on. They were thick, squat, and also leafless, just as Jonas described, which was absolutely perfect. We could cut up the trunk into the sizes we needed, but we also had the thinner, more cylindrical branches to work with. The trees stood about six feet tall, which was the perfect height for us and our rather primitive equipment.

It truly seemed like they’d been made for me.

And sturdy. George nodded in approval as he knocked his bulk against one of the trees, and then he stepped back happily when it didn’t fall over.

“Time to get to work.” I grinned as I set down my pack and searched for my tools.

The saw I’d made was a little bit bigger than a handsaw, though, about two and a half feet, and I was worried it wouldn’t be big enough to fell one of the thick trunked trees. So, I used my dragon eyes to gauge the width of one of the trees, which looked to be about a foot in diameter, and I nodded to myself in relief.

  We should be good.

“Mira, come help me,” I told the warrior, who had wandered around to look at the unusual trees.

Between the two of us and the dragons, we felled three trees and cut the branches off. Then we wrapped them up in the material we’d brought, and George and Nixie carried the wood strapped to their backs.

Just as we were ready to go home, I suddenly remembered my promise to Hali.

“Wait!” I called out and stopped in my tracks. “Hali wants more of those fruits.”

The ones the gryphons gifted us with? Nixie asked.

“Yeah, but we don’t know where they got them,” Mira pointed out.

As if on cue, the squawk of a gryphon came down through the trees, and one of the winged beasts landed right in front of us, with two of the fruits clutched in his beak.

Boy, sometimes, weird shit went down on this island, and I definitely did not have the ability to figure it out yet. I got the feeling there were a lot of unanswered questions and a very deep history that even the dragon people didn’t know all about.

And if these creatures were supposed to be servants of the gods, perhaps these deities were closer than we thought, and they had, for some inexplicable reason, taken a vested interest in me.

I had to admit, I was more than a little intrigued, and so fucking grateful.

“I wish Marella was here to translate for us,” Mira said as she stared at the giant gryphon in shock.

“Me too,” I muttered and studied the magnificent beast.

It glanced at me with its head cocked t
o the side and its golden eyes wide, and then it dipped its massive eagle head into a low bow.

I returned the gesture as I had last time and was rewarded when the creature dropped the fruits at my feet.

Then a second gryphon flew down through the trees with three more fruits, also dropped them at my feet, and turned to its companion, who seemed to be the leader.

For a long moment, the two gryphons both looked at me, and I just stared back as I tried to figure out what they could possibly be thinking.

Then, just as quickly as they’d appeared, they were gone.

“I wonder where they come from?” I mused as I watched their massive forms disappear from view over the treetops.

“Oshun,” Mira answered as she gathered the fruits up and added two to Nixie’s load, and three to George’s.

I knew Oshun was the dragon people’s answer to everything, but I couldn’t help but be a little curious as we started to hike back to the village. It occurred to me that the gryphons might actually be from another island. That would explain why they were hardly ever seen in the sky, and why they had fruits with them none of the dragon people had ever seen before.

I wondered if I might happen upon the bird-creatures as I traveled the islands. Maybe I’d be able to find their homeland and bring back even more fruits for Hali.

This still begged the question of how and why they’d traveled to this island and sought my family and I out on multiple occasions, but I just accepted that I didn’t have all the answers right now.

It took us another half a day to get back to the village, but thankfully no more one-eyed dinosaur monsters attacked us. We reached the outer wall of our home with ease, and our arrival was instantly met with excitement.

“You found the wood!” Nerissa gasped as she dashed up to us in the courtyard, and she stared at the green chunks of material the water dragons carried with an almost religious amazement.

I’d never really realized before what a fantastic resource wood was. We used it to build so many wondrous, amazing things back home, and yet here, they had used bamboo and clay for the longest time, since they were afraid of traveling into the jungle and dying.

Not that their fear wasn’t understandable, since Mira and I had nearly died. Again.

“Jonas gave some good directions.” I grinned at the queen, and she wrapped me up in a soft, warm hug.

“I cannot wait to see what this boat looks like!” Nerissa gushed with excited eyes.

“Daddy!” Marella shrieked as she bounded toward me and leapt into my arms.

“Hi, sweetheart,” I chuckled, and I happily nuzzled into her soft but dirty hair.

“This is what it looks like,” she informed me as she wiggled down to get a better look at the wood. “This is what makes your boat good!”

I had very little idea what that meant, but I trusted my daughter and her strange visions.

“You need a bath!” Careen exclaimed as she, too, toddled out of the palace. Her stomach protruded so far out that it was almost like a second person already. I hoped she’d deliver before I left, but Talise had informed me the baby probably wouldn’t come for another two weeks. Marella’s vision had foretold I would need to leave before the full moon, though, and that was less than a week away at this point.

“I do need a bath,” I agreed and turned to the pink-haired healer with a mischievous gleam in my eye. “Would you care to help me with that?”

The healer ducked her head and blushed slightly as she most likely thought of the first time we’d met.

“It would be an honor, my king,” she giggled.

I smirked as the blood heated in my veins. It seemed like we might be looking at an encore now, and I was totally ready for it.

“We’ll get everything unpacked,” Mira snickered as she patted me on the back. “Go bathe … and relax.”

The warrior threw me a wink over her shoulder as she and the dragons walked across the courtyard, with Nerissa and Marella in tow.

I chuckled as Careen wrapped a hand around my wrist and all but dragged me into the palace and to the bathing room. As we left, I heard Mira start to shout and give orders to the women, so they could help her haul the wood down to the beach, where we could start building the boat in the morning. If all went according to plan, we’d be able to leave within two days’ time.

  But that was for tomorrow.

Today … I had earned a little relaxation.

In the washroom, Careen wasted no time in stripping me of my torn, dirty clothes. She stared at my body with hungry eyes as she turned on the water, and then stripped off her own clothes.

“Gods, Careen,” I moaned as I took in her naked body.

The pink-haired healer was breathtaking. She’d been gorgeous before, with her slight body and perfect curves, but pregnancy suited her even more. Her breasts were fuller and rounder as they swelled with milk, and her stomach was plump with my child. I could even see her shift around a little as Careen strutted toward me slowly, and she swung her full hips from side to side.

“I’m tender right now down below,” the healer murmured as we descended into the warm, silky water of the bath, “but I would like to give you a thank you for impregnating me, my king. This honor is all I’ve ever dreamed of.”

“You have my permission.” I smirked.

Just as she’d done the first time we met, Careen pushed me into the stone seat of the tub and began to wash my every crevice, only this time, she wasn’t shy as she let her fingers stray.

“God,” I moaned as she brushed over my nipples and down the defined muscles of my stomach. The soft cloth mixed with the way she stared at me, like I was a sex god, got me hard, and fast. My balls tightened with the rush of blood, and Careen glanced down at my dick with a proud smile.

But she didn’t give in to me so easily.

The healer continued to wash my body, torturously slowly, and she watched as my dick stayed harder than a fucking rock.

Then I couldn’t take it anymore.

“I want you so fucking bad, Careen,” I murmured to her. I let my hands drift over the swell of her belly, and I delighted in the way her skin felt so smooth and taut before I ran my fingers up over her breasts. Then I took a nipple in each hand and gave them the smallest pinch.

All of a sudden, Careen’s head rolled back, and her eyes screwed shut as she let out the longest, sexiest moan I’d ever heard in my entire life.

  I’d hit a button I didn’t even know existed.

“Liked that, did you?” I growled and pinched her again.

“My king,” Careen groaned as she bucked in my grasp. “Please, let me please you with my mouth.”

The healer managed to open her eyes to the smallest of slits as I continued to roll her nipples in my fingers. It was a struggle to keep my hands above her waist, but she’d said she was tender, and I didn’t want to push her.

However, a blowjob was never something I would turn down.

“As you wish,” I whispered in the healer’s ear, and she shivered against me.

I pushed myself out of the water and sat on the ledge, with my cock still at full attention, as Careen positioned herself between my legs. One small, delicate hand wrapped around the base of my cock, and then she slipped just the tip inside her mouth.

Now, it was my turn to throw my head back in ecstasy as I felt smooth wetness surround me.

  “Fuck,” I groaned.

Careen lowered her head further and took me all the way in, so far that my tip hit the back of her throat before she let me go with a pop.

And then she was right back on me again.

The wet sounds of her love filled the room as she sucked, licked, and rubbed every single inch of my cock and balls. She flicked her tongue into the little slit at the head and sucked my balls into her mouth, and then she started to use her hands as well.

There was no doubt in my mind. Careen gave the best hand jobs and blowjobs in the whole fucking universe.

  I held out as long
as I could, but Careen’s mouth was too magical. I finally felt my orgasm start to roll through me, and then I blew my load straight into her mouth.

Careen sat back with a little dribble of my cum on her chin, swallowed, and then grinned at me.

“Thank you, Draco Rex,” she giggled, and her cheeks were flushed a lovely pink to match her hair.

“Thank you,” I panted, and then I picked up the cloth she’d used to wash me and wiped the white cum off her chin.

“Off to dinner, now,” the healer told me as she turned to drain the tub. “You have much building to do tomorrow.”

“Yes, ma’am,” I chuckled, but I couldn’t help but smile tenderly as I watched Careen caress her bare belly, swollen with my child.

  My life was truly amazing.

I spent that night with Sela and the twins. The warrior had recovered well, and even the sleeplessness hadn’t managed to sour her. Well, sour her further, anyway. The twins slept all the way through the night, miraculously, and they only cried when the sun rose and they got hungry.

Surprisingly, Sela was the most attentive mother. The hardened warrior I’d met on the beach the day I’d washed up on shore hadn’t exactly struck me as the mothering type, but when I watched her with our children, I realized she’d been born for it. She was attentive, protective, and firm all at once.

“Have I ever told you how glad I am you didn’t kill me the day we met?” I murmured as I watched Sela nurse our daughters.

“Mira is right, you are so weird.” Sela rolled her eyes, but then her mouth twitched into a soft smile. “But I am glad I didn’t kill you as well. If I had, Oshun wouldn’t have blessed me with your seed and made me a mother.”

“And what a wonderful mother you are.” I grinned.

“Go on with you,” Sela scoffed and jerked her chin toward the door. “You get sappy when you are hungry.”

“I am always sappy,” I teased with a smile, but I got up to give the warrior and our twin girls each a kiss. “Case in point, I’m going to go to the kitchens right now and have them send you breakfast in bed.”

Sela’s faux stoic demeanor melted in an instant, and she looked up at me with eager eyes.
