“We’ve got company,” Jamie said.
She rolled off him and sat up, staring at her friends. “They knew all along you were going to do this?”
“Yep. Lincoln arranged for the restaurant to be empty, and Roxy got you here. The rest of them…well, they just like a good show.” He lifted her left hand and slid the ring on her finger. “Thanks for giving me another chance.”
She held her hand out and gazed at the ring for a few seconds. Then she looked at Jamie. “Thanks for giving us a chance.”
She leaned in and kissed him again. An hour ago she’d been feeling sorry for herself and singing the blues. Guess it was time to change that tune to “Chapel of Love,” because this bridesmaid was finally going to be a bride.
