"What about your bowl?" I asked.
"I'm sharing with you. It's a sweet thing to do"
"It's just a little embarrassing..."
"Just ignore it"
She fed me gently. The soup was tasty as I expected it to be. There was some Coocoo in there along with some leaves. The soup sparkled in the sunlight.
"How was it?" she asked with her head tilted to her left.
"Perfect"
"I thought that it wouldn't taste as good because I used campfire instead of a stove"
"There's no difference. As long as you the one who cooked it, it would be delicious" I said.
A voice and footsteps were heard from behind me. I turned around and saw Spica and Ayla walking towards us.
"There's the sweet two. Can we join in?" asked Ayla.
"Sure! Have a seat!" Sora replied cheerfully.
The girls sat down on the logs. Spica sat down next to Sora on the edge of the log while Ayla sat on the edge of Vergus's log. They started to eat after sitting down.
"Spica, have you been practicing your sword skills?" I asked.
"Oh, yes. I'll practice a few minutes when I am taking a break"
"You were pretty good"
"Wha-! Umm... Not really..."
"Yea, you could a knight with those skills, if you ever want to be one" said Sora.
"No, no... I like the job I have now. Haha..."
We had continued eating our lunch after some more talk. Our friendship has grown closer. Vergus was the one who changed the most. Everything was going well.
CLO 39: Reunion
We had a delicious lunch in the afternoon. Sora's cooking was as good as how she was. She was a good person, she was kind, loyal and sweet.
It was the 27th of Lya, 2363. The sixth month, Fyala was drawing near. The end of Kohaya's reign was on the 25th that month. It all ended so quickly, which was a good thing.
It was 2 in the evening by that time, the sun was still shining brightly upon us and the sky was blue as usual. The clouds filled the sky with shapes of many kinds.
The wind blew passed us as it made a sighing sound. The smell of the grass and the trees were fresh and clean. There were birds chirping in the background too.
I just finished the bowl of tasty soup that I shared with Sora. All that was left was the bones of the Coocoo that we ate. We bit on it together, we got stared at by some people around us.
I heard the sound of a horse and a carriage coming closer to us. The sound got louder and louder as it got closer. I looked around, searching for the source of the sound.
A horse and a carriage approached us from my 9 o' clock, or simply, my west. The carriage stopped, the coachman hopped down to open the door. The person who came out of the carriage was a person that we have not seen in a long time.
"Hey! Where are the heroes?" shouted the girl that jumped out of the carriage.
Vergus immediately placed his bowl aside and ran towards her. Sora helped me to stand up, we walked to the girl at a slow pace. Spica and Ayla followed too.
"Mia!" shouted Vergus.
"Vergus!"
The two of them ran towards each other for a hug. They hugged each other tightly, like long lost friends. They let go of each other as we arrived.
"You have changed, Vergus. You finally changed, back to your old self. The you that I loved the most" said Mia.
Mia leaned to her right and looked at me and Sora. "You got hurt really bad, Cel. I feel sorry for you. Oh, congratulations on beating that bad person" said Mia.
"Thank you" I replied.
"Mia, I'm sorry for what I did. I'm sorry for everything! I just wanted your attention, no, I wanted you. I wanted you to notice that I'm strong enough to protect you, to be with you" said Vergus.
"I forgive you. You should that you have proved that you are strong enough. You fought in Cylius, you fought in the castle, you fought for the world. That proves that you are strong enough" she replied.
"Mia, I love you. That was the reason for a lot of the things that I did. I want to be with you..." said Vergus with his head facing down to the ground.
Mia placed her hand under Vergus's chin and pulled his face closer to here's. She was standing on the tip of her toes. She pulled his face closer until their lips met and locked.
She let go of him and looked at him face to face. Her hands were placed on his cheeks. Her eyes were glistering with tears, her face had a smile attached to it.
"Vergus, I love you too" she said as she closed her eyes and tilted her her to her right. The tears poured out of her eyes and flowed down her face.
I turned to my right and placed my face next to her left ear as I was standing to her left. I whispered "That is a good ending" to her ears quietly.
She simply smiled sweetly and nodded her head in agreement with her eyes closed. I held her hand as we watch Vergus and Mia finally getting together.
"We're proud of you son"
I voiced appeared from the carriage. I looked up and saw Vergus's parents standing there, looking at their son with a smile.
"Mom... Dad... Thank you" he replied.
Mia wiped the tears off of her face and sniffed before looking at us and asking "Sora, Cel, could we stay here tonight?"
"Of course! Join in!" Sora replied happily.
Mia, her parents and Vergus's parents joined us in the forest. They did not have a place to sleep other than an inn that they had to pay for. Two new tents were placed next to Vergus's tent. They would be staying there for a while.
CLO 40: Sora and Cel Forever
I was standing inside a big building. The interiors were pearly white, there was no stain whatsoever, it was pure white. The floor was as black as coal, the same goes for the pillars on the four corners of the place. The place looked elegant and contrasting.
The light that shone into the building through a large and clear window was white as well, the light was actually sunlight.
There were seats in front of me and in the middle was an empty space for people to walk on. A white carpet was covering the area in the middle.
I was standing on an area that was slightly higher than the floor. This area was white in color and had a small inner rectangle that was black colored.
Most of my wounds had healed and I was no longer wearing bandages. I was able to walk, lean and move like normal. Sora's jhealing spell helped a lot in the healing process of my wounds.
The clothes I wore were of the same color scheme as the building. It was a black and white tuxedo. I wore a black bowtie, a black jacket and pants and a white inner shirt.
The date of the day was the 20th of the sixth month, Fyala of the year 2363. A day that could be called a special one. It has been a month since Kohaya's attack on the kingdom.
Many people were seated in the seats in front of me. The people were of friends and family. Sora's father was seated on the first row on the left while my mother was seated on the right.
"We gather today to celebrate the love between two people. These people are of big significance to this kingdom.
The groom is the knight and hero of the kingdom. He has saved the lives of many from not only this world, but from other world's too. The groom is the heroic Cel Alt.
The bride on the other hand is the fair and lovely, Princess Sora Ryea of Cielo. She has been with the groom through thick and thin, fighting together whether on the battlefield or even elsewhere.
How did these two get together? Well, it all started when Arsceil, the former wizard attacked the kingdom. Cel and Sora decided to save the kingdom together, slowly growing a bond that only became closer.
And when the princess was kidnapped, Cel never gave up to save her. He battled fiercely to finally return her back home, to our kingdom of Cielo.
Love has no boundaries. Love is the magic that brings people of many different origins, races, ages and many other things.
And love has brought these two, who were perfect for each other, together. And today, we celebrate this
love. The love between Sir Cel Alt and Princess Sora Ryea of Cielo"
The officiant gave an opening remark. The visitors clapped their hands when he finished the remark. I smiled slightly when I heard the applause and the remark.
"And now, the bride may walk down the aisle" said the officiant.
I looked forward at the white colored door. The music was being played by a small orchestra near the area I was standing on. I heard the door open and saw the special person that I had been waiting for.
She wore a white colored wedding gown with white bridal veil. Her gown was puffy and cute. Her sleeve was short, she also wore a long white colored glove.
My eyes were slightly glistering with tears as I saw her walk down the aisle. Flowers and golden magic dust were thrown into the air as she walked. The ceremony was of a traditional Cielo styled wedding ceremony.
She stood next to me and smiled with eyes that were filled with tears. I held her hand as we turned and faced the priest.
"Sir Cel Alt, do you take Princess Sora Ryea of Cielo, for your lawfully wedded wife, to love and cherish from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health?"
"I do" I replied.
The priest turned his head slight and faced Sora and said some more words.
"Your Highness, Princess Sora Ryea of Cielo, do you take Sir Cel Alt, as your lawfully wedded husband, to love and cherish from this day forward, to stay loyal to him, for better or worse?"
"I do!!!" Sora shouted her reply loudly. Her voice echoed in the building.
She turned and face me with a bright smile. Tears flowed down her face from her sparkling light brown eyes. I smiled in happiness as well from seeing her face.
"You may now kiss the bride"
Those words were the words that I was waiting for. The day has finally arrived, the special day for me and her. The wait was finally over.
I placed my hands behind her back, she placed hers over my shoulders. We pulled in closer and closer to each other's faces. I look into her eyes and she looked into mine. We pulled in closer until our lips met.
I felt her soft and moist lips as mine touched hers. There was a great sense of relief in my heart as we kissed. Aside from that, there was a great feeling of happiness.
Everyone applauded loudly. Cheering was prominent in the building as well. We pulled away and looked at the crowd.
Spica and Ayla were crying as they clapped. Mia and Vergus stood up and clapped along with their family. The king stood up and clapped with tears in his eyes. I saw my mother wiping her tears of joy as she watched us. Everyone was happy for us, and I was happy about that.
Sora and I looked at each other with joy in our expressions. We looked into each other's eyes closely. Sora smiled happily and said "I love you, Cel" to me. I smiled and replied:
"I love you, Sora"
End of Arc 5: Crystallization
Dear Reader,
This arc was one of the arcs that I had fun writing. The arc covers a concept that I find pretty cool. The crystallization thing was awesome to imagine in my head and I hope that you could imagine more or less the same thing.
This arc was two times longer than any other arc that I had wrote before this. I never thought that I could write 40 chapters just for one arc. The minimum word count was 700, I am not sure if all of them are that long though. But I am sure that most of them are 700 and above. I had split this arc's chapters into several sub arcs, they are:
Crystallization Rising: 1-4
Crystallization Revealing: 5-8
Crystallization Turning: 9-11
Crystallization Receiving: 12-14
Crystallization Traversing: 15-16
Crystallization Attacking: 17-19
Crystallization Dividing: 20-24
Crystallization Uniting: 25-30
Crystallization Invading: 30-33
Crystallization Crashing: 34-35
Crystallization Ending: 36-40
This arc is the last arc of the Freedom Saga. Though it is not the last chapter. There are some side stories for you to read. They take place after this arc. I am using two chapters to reveal the past of two characters, the important characters.
The next five arcs of the next saga has been planned and I have a rough idea of what would happen. The next saga would be the last saga and after the last chapter was made, this series would continue with another name.
How you all enjoyed this arc. I had a lot of fun when I wrote this. Pardon me for my lack in war strategies but at least the basic gaming strategy could do the basic job for me, haha. This was a good ending to a saga for me. My writing has become better too. Thank you for reading and see you next time!
Sora's Story
25th Lya 2363
<
We were having a story time that night, Cel and Ayla had already talked about theirs. Vergus was already asleep in his tent, so he did not join us.
"Now, who's turn is it...?" said Ayla.
Ayla was looking at me and Spica. She used her finger from her right hand to point at us. She alternated her finger between us, Spica leaned backwards slightly every time Ayla pointed at her.
She stopped her finger and pointed at the girl on her left, and that girl was me.
"Sora! Tell us your story!" said Ayla.
"You and Cel told a story about your past, so I will too!" I said.
"This is going to be powerful" Cel commented.
I took a deep breath of the fresh air and let it go. I closed my eyes and thought about what I should say. I opened them and started to talk.
"When I was a kid, my mother had fallen victim to a disease that I did not know of. Many have tried to heal her both traditionally and magically, but all those attempts were futile.
People said that she was cursed by a curse called "Filiastria" but no one was sure of it. My mother would turn weak and fall to the ground a few times a week. Her falls got more often as time passed.
I entered her room to visit her. She told me to sit next to her on the edge of the bed. I sat down and she started to comb my hair.
She started to talk as she combed my hair. She told me to be strong and kind forever. She wanted me to be a great leader someday.
She finished combing my hair and placed the comb on the drawer next to the bed. She combed my hair into the hairstyle I love to this day.
My hair was combed straight down my back. There were two parts of the front of my hair that was placed over shoulders and reached my chest in length. My fringe was combed to my right with a small portion of it to my left.
I turned around and faced my mother. She told me that she loves me. I told her the same thing. She then told me to leave her alone. I did so and went to my father.
A week after that, I attended her funeral. Dad told me that she won't come back home again. I already knew that... It was hard to accept it but I knew that it was the truth.
She told me to be strong. I thought that I should be a strong fighter too. I knew that she told me to be strong at heart but I wanted to be a strong swordswoman.
I learnt swordsmanship from a teacher that my dad hired. Dad was actually hesitant at first but I sort of begged... Haha...
It was hard at first but I better at it. And before I knew it, I was better than most of the knights. I was given a sword called Royal Grace, and I lost it in Ayrus when I was captured... Remember Cel?"
"Yup, you didn't come back with it" he replied.
"I never knew you had a sword" said Spica.
"He he... I don't know what happened to it actually... It might have been shattered back there..."
"All that matters is that you're safe" said Cel.
"Well, there wasn't anything that I could remember after that. Other than the day I met Cel"
"Oh, yea. Why did you want me to call you by your name though"
"We were going to get close because you were my personal knight so why not. I want my close friends to call me by my name
"
"It's much more convenient to call you by your name" he replied.
"Yea, that is pretty much why I want my close friends to call me by my name"
"That was a good story Sora" said Ayla.
I let out a breath of air after finishing the story. I replied to Ayla's words with:
"Thank you"
There was only one person left to tell a story to everyone. Spica could no longer run from it. She was lucky to be the last, for her, maybe. I do not really think being last was that good.
