Tame Me: A Filthy Billionaire Romance
Page 23
“But how?” His body seemed to relax a little as his mind whirled with confusion. He noticed now the true differences between this woman and Sophie.
Her expression was different from the humorous one Sophie always wore. Her eyes were different too, a deeper blue which held a searching look that Phoebe had for life.
She tugged his head down and started to kiss him again.
Rick kissed her back while staring into her eyes. She stared back and he knew this was Phoebe. She’d never closed her eyes when he’d kissed her; she always looked directly into his. Feeling a shock of what all this might mean, Rick broke the kiss.
“Oh, man, what hot sex!” She exclaimed with a laugh.
With a start, he blinked his surprised eyes at her.
“More!” She moved him down closer. “We will do it and do it all, until we just can’t breathe anymore!” She latched onto his mouth and moved her hips up and down.
He was still inside of her and he was still hard. Rick believed that he should talk this out with her, but he closed his eyes and felt her moving on him. He pulled her tighter to his body, and as his eyes remained closed, he suddenly knew it was her. The scent he’d sensed before was Phoebe. He began to move slowly inside of her as he lowered his lips to her nipple and covered it with his mouth.
She whimpered with satisfaction.
Rick rose up and away from her.
Phoebe tried desperately to grasp onto him with her thighs.
He swiftly turned her over, and she rose up on her knees. With another jolt of lust, he pulled her to him and raised her legs up.
Panting again, she gasped with astonishment. “You remembered my favorite.”
“Yes,” he growled and pushed into her.
“Ahh,” she screamed out and shoved herself back to get more.
He pumped her again and again, feeling like he couldn’t get enough of plunging himself into her.
“Rick!” she shouted as she came again. “Don’t stop!”
Smiling, he grabbed her nipples from behind. “Don’t worry, I can’t seem to.”
She drew in gulping breaths and her body heaved with it.
Breathing heavily, he felt under her and stroked her labia.
“Unh, unh!” she cried out with a desperate tone.
Grinding his hips in a circle, he forcefully swiveled her hips with the grinds.
“Oh!” she yelled again.
“More?” he teased.
“I can’t,” she gasped the words out.
Pulling her up, he sat her onto his lap. “Do it all, you said.” Helpless, she was still gasping. With a relentless movement, he shoved her down onto his still throbbing hard cock.
“Unh,” she whispered with a shocked sound as her body tightened on him.
“Does that feel good?” he whispered to her ear with a growl as he reached around and rubbed her clit.
“Yes, yes!” She was moving herself up and down on him.
He reached his other hand around and grasped her nipple with his fingers.
“Oh, God, I’m going to…” She gasped for air. “Again!” She was coming as she sat on him. “We could die from this!”
He felt his cock swell as her flowing moisture nearly soaked his lap and he thrust up high and met her climax with his. “Then we will die, since we cannot seem to stop.” His body stiffened as he came.
“I can feel your cum inside of me.” She collapsed forward with a breathless spasm. “I never thought I would ever feel that again!” She stared to laugh breathlessly.
Her laughter was Phoebe’s, as the sound had been imprinted in his memory and he never believed he would ever hear it again. His skin was hot and cold all over as his body finally relaxed. He hugged her tightly to his face and kissed her bare back. I don’t care how it happened. I have her with me again. Rick felt such an incredible surge of pure exhilaration and he joined in her beautiful, spontaneous laughter.
They both fell to the bed with this heady hilarity as though they were high on some kind of drug. Gasping for air, they clung desperately to each other.
CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
KAMI
Hollywood Boulevard, near Sunset and Vine
The black stretch limo cruised slowly down Hollywood Boulevard. Taylor squeezed her hand.
Kami tried to ignore the little pings of delight from his warm hand on hers as she looked out of the tinted window.
With a playful turn of his head, he peeked at her face.
She felt his eyes on her. “What?” she asked with annoyance in her voice.
At her response, he chuckled.
Clearly showing her exasperation, she turned her head to look at him. “Can you quit with the games?”
He gave her a boyish smile.
Her pulse picked up at the sight of it, and she glanced away again.
“Kami, what is it that you do?” he asked.
“Do?”
“Yeah, I mean are you an executive at that council or…?”
“Executive?” She laughed.
“Yeah, what is your, um…position there?”
At the unexpected question, she finally looked over at him. “I’m a medicine woman.”
“For real?” he replied in a wondering tone.
“Yes, Taylor, for real.”
“So you like…heal people?”
Kami crossed her arms over her chest. “This is not about me, remember?”
He tilted his head at her. “I think it is.”
Her eyes shot up to his face.
“I think...” His words trailed away.
“What, Taylor? What do you think?”
With a grin on his face, he shook his head. “So, you’re assigned to healing me?”
“In a manner of speaking,” she answered while avoiding eye contact again.
He looked out of his own window. “What if someone was so rotten, so despicable and cold-hearted that you couldn’t help them?”
Kami’s eyes widened. “That’s not—”
“What? Not true?” He sounded disgusted. “My buddy filled me in on some of what I used to do.”
“Yes?”
“Not a pretty picture.” He released a breath.
“But you aren’t like that anymore.” She peered at his face
“How do you know?” With a distracted expression, he continued to look out of the window. “How can I even know?”
“I know,” she answered in a soft voice.
“I wasn’t in love with her, you know?” He slyly peeked at her.
“In love with whom?” She lowered her eyes.
“Like it wasn’t obvious, for Christ sake.” He chuckled. “I had her double right there at my freakish-mansion!”
At the apt description of his enormous house, she laughed. “She was very important to you, though.”
“Yeah, as important as any deal and strictly a business merger.” He sighed with disgust.
With a surge of hope running through her, she asked, “Is that what he said?”
He nodded.
Kami felt a flood of relief, but she dare not show it.
Taylor squeezed her hand again. “Enough of this!” He leaned forward and pressed a button on the console.
She gazed up and the sunroof opened above their heads.
With a swift motion, he stood on the seat and pulled her up.
“What the…?” she yelled.
They stood on the seat and their torsos were up above the car roof. There were neon lights everywhere while people walked along the sidewalks. Some were dressed as colorful as peacocks and others had cameras in their hands. The place was full of noise and flashing neon signs.
“This is the real Hollywood.” Watching her astonishment, he chuckled. “Sunset and Vine,” He pointed at the famous Hollywood sign as they passed by it.
Amazed at all of the activity, she could smell the aroma of Chinese food, and then it would change to another cuisine; she even smelled hot dogs. The car drove further down the boulevard an
d she caught a glorious smell of grilled steaks along with strong scents of different perfumes and even popcorn.
With a devilish grin, he pointed to some of the girlie cabaret shops. “Yes, the delights here are wicked and sinful.” He winked at her.
She shook her head at all the men who milled around the front of the doors to the x-rated shops.
“We are going to enjoy all the pleasures, my Goddess,” he announced.
“Could you quit with that?” She shivered at the way he purred the title.
He looked out at the passing streets. “Nope. For once, my old buddy was right when he called you that. I think I’ll keep you for a while.”
Her eyes shot over and she stared at his profile, her knees suddenly felt weak. I have to get away from this man. But how? She swallowed nervously.
Taylor playfully yanked her back down, and she drew in a sharp breath as her butt landed on the plush seat.
He laughed at her stunned expression.
Kami was so unused to such silly behavior and his playfulness really threw her for a loop.
“We are to dine at the top of the world, a place reserved for goddesses!” he shouted.
She jumped at the cheerful shout.
Grinning at her startled expression, he laughed almost hysterically. “Oh yes, so much fucking fun!”
Her eyes grew wide as the limo took them away from the glittery lights of Hollywood.
Hollywood Hills, California
The chauffer was busy taking things from the oversized trunk and setting them to the side.
Taylor and Kami sat on the hood of the Limo while gazing out over Hollywood Hills. The lights all twinkled as streams of traffic flowed its way through intersecting streets. The skyscrapers were all lit up as the glow from the entire area penetrated the skyline.
Taylor watched her face as she stared out at the sparkling city lights.
Kami turned to look at him.
His eyes seemed to bore right through her.
“What?”
He grinned.
“What?” she repeated
With a sigh, he put an arm around her shoulder and gazed out at the twinkling night view. “I’m so glad I woke up to find you.”
She blinked her eyes at the heartfelt statement.
“Oh, and I think Sam is ready for us.”
“Sam?” She followed his gaze.
“Yeah, my driver.” He jumped to the ground and held up his hands to help her down.
Almost frozen at the sight of him reaching up for her, she stared down at him.
“I’ll catch you.” He winked.
It’s the other type of fall that I’m really afraid of. She tried to smile causally as she scooted forward.
Taylor grabbed her up and held her above the ground for a long moment while he gazed into her eyes.
She held her breath.
“I could just hold you and look into your eyes for…” He lowered his lips to hers. “Have you ever been involved with anyone?”
Kami batted her eyes at the unexpected question. “How do you mean?”
A smile edged at his lips. “There’s my answer,” he chuckled softly and put her down on her feet.
Without warning, she felt a little heady from the way he looked at her. Her earlier fear about all of this grew inside her. I am not supposed to get involved with a patient! She pulled away from him and tried to compose herself.
“Kami?” he whispered.
At the low whisper, she gazed up at him.
“Do you like being with me?” he asked.
She drew in a breath. “I...”
Taylor shook his head while showing that wonderful smile. “I’m sorry; I just keep pounding you with questions.” He shook his head at her. “Well, shall we dine?” He motioned to the front of the large black car.
Kami took a few steps to where he pointed and her eyes widened as she stared.
There was a table and two chairs all set up with lace tablecloth and a flower-filled vase in the middle. Their food dishes lie under silver lids. Tall, long stemmed crystal glasses sat next to their plates and bubbled with champagne. The driver set the champagne bottle into the ice bucket and stepped back with a pleased smile.
She stared down at the fancy arrangement. She heard Taylor’s chuckle. Her head flew up.
“A setting made for a Goddess,” he announced and spread his arm out wide to the sparkling view.
“Taylor, I…”
“What? You don’t like it?” His expression grew serious.
She smiled. “Of course, it’s just that...”
Crossing his arms over his chest, he waited for her to continue.
“I am supposed to help you. You know as a healer, to—”
“I need food, don’t I?” he cut in. “I mean…what if I starve?” he prompted and pulled a chair out for her.
With resigned defeat, she released a breath and sat as he scooted the chair back in.
Taylor turned to the driver. “Sam? You outdid yourself.” He smiled and handed him a stack of hundred dollar bills. “Use the car phone and call for a ride, okay?”
Sam blinked at him. “But, I—”
“Tell them at the firm, Taylor Scott procured the limo.”
“Okay.” Sam shook his head with a smile.
“Leave the key in the ignition, all right?”
The driver nodded and got into the car, closing the door.
Kami stared up at him. “What are you doing?”
“I do not wish to share my time with the goddess with anyone else.”
At his seductive tone, she felt an immediate wave of goose bumps rush across her skin. Oh, man, steady, Kamikowa. Her head jerked up with a sudden realization that the way this was heading could be very dangerous for her. “Taylor?”
“Hmm?” he answered as he took the covers off their plates.
“We can’t do this.”
“What? We can’t eat?” He took a bite of a roll.
“No, I mean we can’t—”
“All we’re doing is having dinner.” He picked up his glass and held it toward her.
With his unmovable logic, she relented and picked her glass up.
“To...?” He stared into her eyes. “The best thing that ever happened to me.”
Kami held her glass up, feeling more than a little perplexed by his toast.
“The car accident!” With a reverberating clink, he tapped her glass with his.
At his strange toast, she stared at him with shock.
Taylor downed his champagne.
With a shake of her head, she took a sip of hers and watched at him over the rim of her glass.
“Ahh...” He laughed as he smacked his lips from the drink. “Fun!”
Kami giggled at his boyish antics. Yeah, just play along and he will tire of the fun and games, and then he will let you leave. She stared at his lively face with a nervous flutter in her stomach. She picked up her fork and looked at the sumptuous looking food on her plate. But when he does, will you want to go?
CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT
MADELINE
Lightning Cave
The cave was lit up as Dev carried her through the entrance. Maddy had fallen asleep after her two-hour tiring struggle with him on the horse. He carried her past the kitchen and halted at the bedroom. His eyes rounded at the sight of the sleeping couple. He grinned and moved to the back of the cave. He ducked low beneath a narrow opening and there was barely room to navigate as he tried to move through the tunnel with Madeline in his arms.
“What?” she asked in a groggy sounding voice.
Dev gazed down at her. “Shh, people are sleeping.”
Puzzled, she batted her eyes at him. They were suddenly inside of the taming cave and he set her down on the ground. “Why are we in here?” she asked while breathless as she stared around at all the erotic images on the wall. Just the sight of them caused a flush to run along her skin. She turned to stare at him.
“It’s not what you think.” He
shrugged.
Madeline felt almost disappointed but she didn’t let it show. “So?”
He turned away, went to a ledge, pulled a bundle of blankets down and set them on a stone slab beneath. “Our cave is occupied.”
“Huh?” Her brows drew together.
“Your Dad moved in with us, sweetheart.” He patted the bedding down.
“What the hell are you talking about?”
He walked over to her. “Your parents.”
Madeline became even more bewildered.
“He found her.” Dev laughed at her expression.
At the wild statement, she gasped and stepped back.
“I think the lightning pool kind of gave them an exhausting work over?”
With a feeling of shock, she put her hand up over her mouth.
“I love that lively face of yours.” He reached for her arms.
Puzzled, she jerked away from his grasp. “You are telling me that my dead mother is...?” Her voice faded with distress.
“Yep.”
“No way!”
“Maddy, I do not lie.” Dev shook his head. “You know this.”
Really, my dead mother alive and with my dad? This whole world of Nowhere was fucking crazy. She shook away the entire wild notion. “Why didn’t you listen to me, before?”
“To what? A bunch of nonsense?”
“Nonsense?” She batted her eyes with irritation and stepped back again. “I can’t!”
Dev kept nodding his head as he grabbed her up again. “You can.”
Tears formed in her eyes. “I can’t go though that over and over!” Her voice rose up.
“Go through what?”
Astounded by his ignorance of her true feelings, her mouth dropped open.
Dev chuckled and scooped her up. “Oh, sweet Maddy!” He carried her to the ledge. “I do love all that intensity and fire but—”
She kicked her legs out and tried to lunge from his grasp.
“Whoa there, wild cat!” He laughed with surprise.
Desperate, she fought the hold he had on her as she slapped at him.
“What the hell?” He looked alarmed.
“You stay back!” She jumped down and backed away.
Dev stilled and stared at her, the humored expression fading from his face.
