My mind pushed past the thought of Jay when I noticed that there was a pizza place right on the side of me. This made me happy. One I had stop thinking about Jay and two I knew what I could get for dinner, once I got some money.

When the light turned green I drive off. I wanted to get home and in a hot bath. I would just worry about the forbidden four later.

It looked nice outside so maybe I could do my homework out in my backyard. I thought trying my hardest to keep my mind from somehow falling right back to the forbidden four. Maybe I could even have a snack out there or just order that pizza. My parents wouldn’t be home now so I would have the house to myself.

I could finish my homework then maybe watch some TV or read a book. Then when my parents came home I would ask if I could go to the mall with Ang. If I told Ang that the forbidden four would most likely be there-searching for their next victims no less-she would want to come.

As I tried to push the fact that I had thought of the forbidden four from my head a smile went across my lips at the thought of me and Angelica going out having some fun. I could even ask if Beth wanted to come.

I stopped my car right at the stop sign that was by the park where Leon saved my life.

Just thinking about Leon saving my life made me happy. I wasn’t even mad at myself for thinking about him. He was different than the rest of the forbidden four. My eyes looked over to the park and I saw that there wasn’t that any people over there. The few that I did see were jogging around.

Then I saw the forbidden four minis Jay. They were all sitting under a tree talking. I saw that Nathaniel and Damon where laughing. Leon on the other hand was just staring up at the sky.

I wanted to go over there and talk to them. But I couldn’t. It would be weird if I just happened to see them in the park. It was true, but they would think I was just like all the other girls who liked to follow them around all the time.

A loud horn made me jump in my car. I looked behind me to see a car behind me. A guy in the car waved his hand at me as if saying to keep it moving. I sighed hoping that the forbidden four didn’t see me. I turned my head quickly to look and saw that they did.

Nathaniel was smiling at me shaking his head, Leon had his head turned slightly at me, and Damon eyes stayed on me with an intense glace. All of a sudden Damon waved his hand at me as if telling me to come over.

I frowned and then heard the guy hunk his horn again. I rolled my eyes knowing I was in the wrong but cared too little to even think more about it. I turned my stirring wheel and went to park in the parking lot of the park. I thought I might as well go over there and talk to them. I wanted to ask them some stuff anyways.

Besides Damon was the one who waved me over so it’s not like I was following them or anything. I thought to myself with a quick smile. So they won’t be able to think I am like all of the other girls who throw themselves at them.

I liked the thought that was going through my head and thought it was good enough that it didn’t matter that I was going over there to talk to them.

After I parked my car I took off my seat beat and got out of the car. I walked to where they were laying at and tried to put a smile on my face. No smile touched my lips but I didn’t think they cared too much about it.

“Hey Bonnie.” Nathaniel said laughing just as I walked to them. “I can honestly say I didn’t want to know your name.”

My eyes stared at him confused.

“Don’t brother her Nate; she can’t help it if she has been on Jay’s mind.” Damon laughed then stared into my eyes. “Why don’t you sit down?”

I sat down across from them and looked at each of them. But when my eyes landed on Leon they stayed there a bit longer.

He was staring up at the sky again and he looked like he was in deep thought again. I let my eyes move over his blonde hair then tried to look into his grey eyes. I wondered what his grey eyes looked like right now. Did they look as clear as they had the day at the park or where they darker now, because he was thinking about something that seemed to be worrying him.

I had no idea what it was but felt myself wanting to know. Then I shook my head at the thought. I had come over here so I could ask my questions and Brenda as well as ask about Jay. This was no time to get side tracked.

“Nathanial-” I began so I could ask him where Jay was at. I for some odd reason thought at this time he would be the only one out of the three to tell me. It seemed like he would tell me, only if to laugh himself about the fact that I wanted to know. As I stared at him it seemed like Leon did not really want to talk at that moment and Damon didn’t seem like he wanted to talk to me. It was like all of a sudden he just wanted to make me vanish, literary. So my eyes moved on to Nathanial who I hoped would tell me something then.

“No call me Nate.” Nate said as he smiled wildly, but not at me. He was looking over at a woman who was pushing her child in the swing. The woman noticed him and smiled. He smiled back and she blushed.

“Nate, where is Jay?” I asked rolling my eyes at the fact that he told me to call him Nate. I saw that he was still watching the woman and said woman was still watching him back.

“Yeah I heard that you were talking to Jay this morning.” Nate said as his eyes moved to another older woman who ran by all of us. “He didn’t seem too happy by it either. Don’t tell me you throw your drink at him again.”

Damon laughed loudly then hit my shoulder lightly, too lightly. It was easy to see that someone his size he could easily hurt me, but how he had hit me was like he was being very careful. I laughed in my head at reading so much into that light tap.

“If you do that again please let me, so I can be in the room ok?” Damon continued to laugh.

“Sure.” I let out duly. “You guys talk a lot about what you do when the others aren’t around.”

“Well we have known each other a long time.” Damon said when he stopped laughing. I opened my mouth to say weren’t you ‘brothers’, but he cut me off quickly. “So what happened in school today?”

Right. I thought then shook my head. I was over here to talk to them about Brenda. I couldn’t let them get me side tracked again. I would ask about the whole brother’s thing later, it wasn’t that important if they wanted people to believe they were brothers.

“Nothing much.” I thought about going right into my question but thought against it. I should just ease my way into that conversation. “Why weren’t you all in school?” I asked then looked at Leon who seemed not to really be paying the conversation any mind. “Well Leon you were in school, but you did skip the class we have together.”

I was trying to get him to say something. I didn’t know why but I wanted to hear him talk.

“Look Leon she notices you.” Nate laughed. “Don’t tell Jay.”

Leon eyes stayed upwards the clouds for a few seconds than he looked away from upward then down at me. His eyes focused on me and then he shook his head at something as if he had thought something he didn’t like. He then looked over at Damon and Nate then lay back.

“I’m starved.” Leon let out as he folded his arms so his arms could lie on his head.

“Yeah, I am to.” Damon said than his eyes stared at me. He put a small smirk on his face and turned his head to the side then lowered his eyes at me.

“Down boy.” Nate said to him his eyes was focused on the mom that he had been looking at. She was now taking the child out of the swing and letting the little child ran around. Her eyes looked back at Nate. She smiled at him. “You know he would kill you.”

“It would be worth it.” Damon said eyes still staring at me.

I began to feel uncomfortable and began to think why I had even come over here. Then I remembered that I was here to ask questions about Brenda.

“If you guys are about to get something to eat, then maybe I should leave.” I said to them slightly upstate that I hadn’t asked them my questions, but happy to get away from Damon piercing glace.

“No you should come with us.”
Damon smiled.

“How’s Angelica, Bonnie?” Leon asked suddenly getting up from lying down. “I saw her in the hall at school. She seemed different.”

My eyes glared at Damon. “Well she will be back to her bubbly self soon.” I laughed.

  “That’s good.” Leon said.

Nate let out a large sigh and then closed his eyes. “I am to hunger. I should have eaten before we came here.”

“I thought that was why we were here to pick up dinner.” Damon said to him running a hand though his short cut hair. His glace then went from me to the woman who Nate was looking at. She looked like she was debating on coming over or not.

“There is a pizza place down the street.” I told them not sure if they knew that or not. “It’s not that far from here.”

  Nate and Damon laughed loudly.

“Maybe you and Leon can go out there.” Damon said then rolled his eyes. “You think that’s her friend?” He asked Nate looking at him then nodding over to the woman who now was talking to another woman.

  “Maybe.” Nate said. “You-“

“Please do not tell me that you two will be going over there to flirt with them.” I said to them glaring at Damon. He had just been with my best friend and he didn’t even seem to care. I knew that he was always like that with other girls, but honestly he was so low that he would do that in front of me. “They want go out with you two, by the looks of it, but how old are you to?”

  “We’re legal.” Nate said.

I rolled my eyes. “They are probably married.”

“Get to the point.” Damon said to me as if he was bored.

“That is the point.” I said to him. “Besides what about Angelica?”

“What about her?” Damon asked then looked at Leon and Nate. “We had fun, but-“

“Whatever.” I said getting up and getting mad. “You are just like Jay. Using girls than moving on when you’ve had your way.”

They all looked at me and then Nate laughed.

“Sit down, don’t get all upset. Damon can be an ass, we all know this. But I’m sure Angelica and he will be talking again.” Nate told me with a smirk written clearly on his face.

I sat back down taking in a breath and folding my arms. I knew I needed to cool down and not let Damon get to me. I had known he would do something like this to Ang, but the nerve that he had to pretty much tell me-her best friend-that he didn’t even care made me very mad.

“Jay wasn’t over reacting when he said you have a firer temper.” Damon muttered under his breath angrily.

“Yeah and it shows when jack butts like you are around.” I said to him glaring.

“What kind of pizza do they have?” Leon asked suddenly. “Do they have vegetable pizza?”

I blinked at him as I shook my head yes. “They have all kinds, I supposed.” I honestly had never been there before. I just knew about it because I had just passed it.

“Maybe we can go to together one day.” Leon said looking at me right in the eyes. I looked away from him ready to blush. “I can’t right now, I have to leave in a moment.”

“Where are you going?” I asked turning to look back at him.

When the words had left my mouth I was upset that I had even asked him that. It was not any of my business on what he did. I bit my bottom lip hoping that he didn’t think I was being nosy.

“What’s with the questions, Bonnie?” Nate laughed. “Where is Jay? Where are you going Leon? Such a nosy girl.” He smiled licking his lips at the woman who was now blushing at him.

“I’m sorry Leon.” I said. I was trying to make sure they knew I was only apologizing to Leon not them.

“It’s ok.” Leon let out. “I just was going to go walking in the forest again.”

Damon and Nate eyes glared at Leon. I felt the once annoying atmosphere become tense and I wasn’t sure why.

“It’s dangerous out there, but then again maybe you like saving people lives.” I said with a small smile. I remembered how he was there when I had woke up from passing out. He had saved me from a mountain lion.

“Speaking of saving lives, what in the hell where you doing in a forest full of mountain lions?” Nate snickered.

“Not that it’s any of your business but I saw my niece go in there and had to get her.” I told him as I folded my arms.

“You have an older-” Nate trailed off.

“Sister.” I said hoping he wasn’t going where I thought he was going. I knew there was no way in the world I was going to let him try and ruin my sister’s marriage.

“How much older?” Nate asked now looking closely at me. It was almost as if he was paying real close attention to me or rather he was going to pay real close attention to my next words.

  “Six years.”

He frowned a bit as if he was thinking it over. “Does she look anything like you?” He suddenly asked.

“That’s none of your business. She is happily married.” I told him rolling my eyes.

“Happy to you may be a whole other thing to her.” Nate said as he shook his head. “Is your mother happy in her-?”

“You know what,” I began my eyes narrowing at him. “Why don’t you keep to picking up other people mothers and sisters?”

“Touchy.” Nate laughed but he did let his eyes go back to the woman he had been staring at.

I shook my head agreeing with him. I could be that way, sometimes. Even if I didn’t want to be, but the more I was around the forbidden four the more I thought they were bringing something out in me that I had never really know was there.

It was quiet for a few moments and for a second I just could not believe I was sitting down with the forbidden four. The guys that any girl would kill to be sitting down with and I didn’t even care.

It felt weird to me. I had always never cared much for them, but right now sitting with them made me think about them in a new light. They were just like regular boys. They made funny jokes, they played around, and they seemed like really good friends to each other.

I smiled at that. Maybe they weren’t as bad as I thought they were. Then again there where those girl that they had used then tossed away like they didn’t even care about them.

Maybe those girls had thought the same thing I was thinking at this moment. They could have thought they were nice only to find out they were very sour.

I looked over Damon, Nate, and then Leon. Right now they didn’t seem sour, but they could have been because none of them had my heart.

What about Jay? He had dumped way more girls than any of them. Leon was the only one who had never dated anyone before.

Jay had been out with too many girls. His latest being Brenda….Brenda. That was the reason why I was here. Could these guys get anyone side tracked?

“Did you hear about Brenda?” I asked them in a way implied something bad had happened. I stared at them one at a time hoping to catch some kind of emotion coming from them.

“Who’s Brenda?” Damon asked. He sounded as if he was very bored with the conversation already.

“A girl that Jay was making out with, this past Friday.” I said wanting to roll my eyes.

Nate sighed at me. “You act as if we follow all of the girl’s that Jay goes out with.”

I opened my mouth to tell him that they should, but Leon voice cut me off.

“What happened to her?” Leon asked his voice sounded as if he really wanted to know. “I hope nothing bad.”

For a moment I thought about why he was even thinking something bad would have happened to her, but then I shook it off. I had asked in a way that implied something bad had happened.

“She is missing.” I said. I saw that Nate and Damon looked at each other so quickly that I for a second thought I had just seen it.

  “For how long?” Leon asked.

“I’m not fully sure, but I think since Friday.” I replied trying to recall just what Beth had said about Brenda but fail to recall if I had the date right or not. “But I hope she is ok.”r />
“Why don’t you ask where Jay is at, again?” I heard Damon ask me. I turn to look at him and saw that he was glazing at me with wide eyes. “I know you want to know where he is so you can ask him tons of questions about this little matter.” I bit my lip hating that he could read that off of me. “I’m sure he is thinking about where you are anyways.”

I wanted to kick him for being such a jerk to me. He should want to ask Jay some questions to. A girl that as far as I knew that was missing was last seen with him. He should be worried for his brother, but he seemed completely at ease. But in spite of myself I just could not help but ask. “Where is he at?”

“He is at the mall.” Damon smiled.

“Knowing him he is having the all you can eat buffet.” Nate laughed his eyes looked longingly at the woman who now looked like she was telling her friend about him. “Something I should have done.”

“I told you we should have gone to the mall with him.” Damon sighed. “These chicks are what you like; you know I don’t really care.”

I had no idea what they were talking about. I thought they were talking about food and now it seemed they were talking about women. I just hoped they weren’t trying to say that women at the mall where like an all you can eat buffet.

“Yeah whatever, you know why we came here.” Nate let out dryly.

“The mall has an all you can eat buffet.” I said not really speaking to them. I just wanted them to stop talking about women. I mean honestly they were acting like I wasn’t even in the same place as them. My eyes turned to Leon and I saw him eyeing some grass that was beside him. “Leon are you ok?”

“He’s fine.” Damon said then started to get up. “Maybe we should get ready.”

Leon shook his head and started to get up as well. “Yes, we need to leave.”

Nate sighed and gave the woman one last look. “Fine, but you owe me a nice one.”

“Why do I feel really lost?” I asked them as I stared up at them.

“You are probably always lost, sweetie.” Nate laughed. “When you see Jay tell him to go easy on you.”

I rolled my eyes at him. “Who says I’m going to go find Jay?” I said as I watched them start to leave.
