Mercenary And His Outlaw: Twisted Iron MC Page 8

by Liberty Parker

“Stop fucking talking, you’re wasting valuable time. Get busy, woman. That is unless you’re all talk that is.” Challenging her is the best way I know to get her to zip her lips and take care of this raging, painfully stiff dick I’m suffering through.

“Hush,” she replies, placing her finger over my lips. She leans over the bed and reaches into the nightstand. I notice a long silvery line flash in my peripheral. She rips one of the squares away opening it. Thank God she’s got the protection, because I’m ready. Scooting back on my legs she rolls the condom down, taking her own sweet time. I groan out at the touch of her hands on my cock. Once it’s rolled all the way down, she crawls back up my body and raises up on over my hips. She looks into my eyes while slowly lowering herself onto me. Swallowing me whole with her pussy, gripping me in a firm vice.

“Fuck. You’re so damn tight.” A devilish smirk crosses her face as she raises up on her knees and slams back down. She tosses her head back and her long, sensual, brunette tresses tickle my thighs. She bounces up and down and my eyes are trained on her tits as they sway with her movement. I want to grab her and turn her over so I can pound into her flesh, but this time I have to sit back and let her take control.

“You fill me up. I can feel you everywhere.” Her words come out breathless. She starts to swivel her hips and my eyes roll into the back of my skull. She switches it up from time to time and the sensations are overwhelming my senses. “I’m gonna come,” she announces victoriously and I’m unable to control myself. I begin to meet her thrust for thrust, until you can hear nothing in the room outside of the meeting of our skin. With her latest words I feel that familiar tingling in my spine as it travels through me and I sense my balls begin to draw up. I’d already been close to my release from my erotic dream, I just needed her to catch up so I could let myself go.

Physically drained, her torso falls onto my chest and I wrap my arms around her. “I’m gonna need a shower,” I finally manage to mumble out after taking a few minutes to allow my brain to function again.

“Same,” she mutters out in agreement.

“C’mon, Harmony. The shower won’t come to us.” She lifts herself up and off of me and immediately I feel the loss of her warmth. The absence of her flesh on mine leaves me internally cold. I’ve never wanted to hold someone after fucking them before. Usually I’m throwing their clothes at them and hurrying them along or walking away. I’m enamored with the natural sway of her hips in all her naked glory as she walks proudly into the bathroom.

Getting the shower to the perfect temperature, I take my hand out of the flowing water and make sure that two towels are on the heating rack. Grabbing an extra washcloth, since I don’t share, I step into the soothing warm water and rest my back against the cold tiles. As the water trickles down my body, heating my skin, I begin to relax. When the sliding glass door opens, he steps in to join me.

“Christ, woman. You would like it scalding hot, huh? Probably like the pits of hell you were spawned from.” He steps further in and closer to me, before pressing his lips against my temple—taking me by surprise.

“You’re a pussy, Mercenary,” I rebuttal, attempting not to act fazed by his gesture. “This isn’t scalding, it’s the right blend of hot and cold. Perfection, like me.” I smirk with thinned lips.

“Says the woman whose skin is now a lovely shade of pink.” I step to the side so that he can stand under the shower head. Once we’re both nice and wet, I build a nice lather on one of the rags with my body wash. Sliding it down my breasts and stomach, his hand reaches out to stop me. “Let me,” he softly states. And since he’s never really asked for permission for anything, I give in. Grabbing the second washrag, I grab the soap that he’s been using these past few weeks and create more suds.

“You going to use that on something?” His eyebrows raise in question.

“I’d intended to.” Placing it on his hard chest, I start to scrub the sweat from him. Using my other hand on his shoulder for balance, we start to simultaneously wash each other. “Don’t leave, Mercenary.” I wave a hand between us. “Give this, whatever this is...a chance.” He slowly drags his eyes up to meet mine and I can see the turmoil running through his mind. BlowIng out a breath before looking away from me, he takes the shower head down and rinses the suds from his body before stepping out. Seriously? That’s it? Was it turmoil in his eyes, or pity? I quickly finish, not wanting him to have extra time to put that wall of his up and come up with excuses as to why we can’t happen. Inhaling a deep breath to help center myself, I begin to dry myself off as I walk back into the bedroom.

He’s already dressed and is in the middle of lacing up his boots while sitting on the corner of the bed. “Mercenary! You’re just going to walk away without any further discussion? Don’t do that!” I throw my hands up in frustration.

“I’m healed enough to be on my way. I have other jobs and obligations to tend to.” He never once lifts his head to look at me while he speaks. “Besides, we knew that this wasn’t a relationship in the making. You were a job. It’s done and over with. Time for me to hit the road and move on with my life.”

The fury circulating through me in this moment literally raises my body temperature. “I’m sorry, a what? Did you just call me one of your jobs? An obligation?” I fight with everything inside of me to control the tears that desperately want to make an appearance. Why? Why did I allow myself to be vulnerable? There was something about him that was so intense, like a drug, and I found myself quickly addicted. “So, did I make all of this up in my fucking head? The whole possibility of a you and a me?” Nothing, he still gives me nothing. “I don’t want you to walk out that door and leave,” I plead with him to stay. He’s a commitment phobe, I knew that before I initiated our first time together. But things have changed, at least on my end they have. “Don’t you feel anything for me? I’m nearly drowning in emotions when it comes to you. I’m willing to stand up and fight for us. Why won’t you? Are you scared? Did someone hurt you in your past? Look at me!” I throw my hands up in the air, fear and anger both ruling me now.

“What do you want from me?” he roars, standing up. “You want me to give up my life and come play house with you? You want me in your bed every night? You want me to become buddies with your dad and join his MC? None of those things are an option, Outlaw!” It hurts, my chest begins to burn, and water consumes my sight. He used my club name instead of Harmony.

“Stop it!” I shout back at him. “Just stop,” my words come out strangled. “I don’t understand where all this anger is coming from. I’ve proven to you how much I want you and shown you that I have your back. Has anybody ever done that for you before?” I look down at the ground not wanting him to know how much his words are shredding me to pieces inside.

“Outlaw, we knew this wasn’t a forever thing.” He lowers his voice. “How? Please explain to me how this could possibly ever work out. We’d end up hating each other in the end.” He walks toward me, but I step back in an attempt to retreat. Not knowing how to make him understand how important he’s become to me is messing with my head.

“You should go,” I whisper, walking back into the bathroom as I shut and lock the door behind me. Leaning against it, my body slides down until I’m on the floor. Drawing my knees into my chest, I bury my head in my hands. “Goodbye,” I manage to quietly sob out.

  Mercenary

Walking over to the closed door that separates us. I place my hand on it and her whimpers wreak havoc on my mind. I’ve tried this whole relationship thing before, and she ended up ruining me to the point that I didn’t even recognize myself or like who I’d become. Alyssa was the bane of my existence. She used me for her personal gain, turned my heart cold, and stole any life that was left in my soul. The day she walked away from me and moved in with another man, I vowed that I’d never let another woman consume me.

I’ve broken all of those rules with Harmony, which is why I think we’
d both be better off if we cut ties and go our own way. “I never meant to hurt you,” I quietly state as I turn and walk out the door and away from her. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but for my sanity and hers, it’s something I must force myself to do.

I barely make it five miles from town before pulling over and turning off my bike. “Fuck!” I bellow out into the air. Getting off of my bike I begin to pace. Restless, my mind is fixated on her and the way her face dropped when I didn’t say what she wanted to hear. In such a short amount of time she snuck under my firmly built defenses and began chipping away the barrier that surrounded my once dead heart. I am now the proud owner of a heart that beats for another, and I’m not sure how to handle it. For so long now I’ve stayed away and never formed attachments to anyone. My dogs are the only ones who are on the receiving end of emotion from me. They’re obedient and depend on me for their every need. That’s a lot of pressure for a man like me to extend to another living, breathing human being.

“Keep going, Mercenary. You have to,” I scold myself when thoughts of heading back to her enter my mind. Passersby must think I’m on drugs out here in the middle of nowhere pacing as I talk to myself. But right now, I’m all I’ve got. “You’re no good for her. You’ll break her and she’ll end up despising you.” Not sure that I’d ever be able to walk away from her. Not even if she grew tired of me and wanted to throw me away. It’ll be no different than any other person has done when it comes to me. Related to me or not, I have always been expendable.

“Fuck! Don’t do it.” I try so hard to take my own advice. It’s the logical thing to do. It’s the right thing to do. Or is it? And, with that last question to myself, I go against everything I was fighting. Hopping back on my bike, I race my way back to her. I hope I’m not making a huge mistake, one that will come back to haunt both of us in the end. Now thoughts of the opposite end of the spectrum rule my thoughts. I should’ve stayed. I should’ve talked to her. At least let her know how I’m feeling and why it’s not a good idea to pursue anything outside of the bedroom. I’m a lost cause, but she makes me...feel. She does, and she was right when she said there’s something between us. When I pull back up to her apartment complex, I see her standing on her balcony looking up at the sky. When she hears my bike pull up and shut off, her head turns in my direction. I notice her square her shoulders, looking like a warrior ready for battle. I did this to her. I put that look on her face and that chip on her shoulders. My heart sinks inside the wall of my chest knowing I’m responsible. Hopefully, I don’t end up regretting my decision to turn around. Seems like I’m in for some major damage control. She may not want me once I step back through those doors, but I have to try and fix things with us. If she doesn’t accept me or my apology, the least she deserves is resolution between us.

“Harmony,” I call out, cupping my hands around my mouth.

“I’m sorry, I thought I was Outlaw to you,” she angrily states, turning her nose up at me. Knowing that I deserve her displeasure, I need to strategically plan out my next move toward her.

“Can I come up?” I ask but have zero intention on taking no for an answer.

“Why? Didn’t you say all there was before you left like the coward I now know you to be?”

“No, I left a lot unsaid. Now, let me in, Harmony. I am not above physically detaching your door from its hinges,” I warn her.

“Fine.” She stomps her foot. “But one wrong, hateful word, and you’re gone. I’ll never let you back in again. Understand?”

“I get it. Just answer,” I reply.

“I’ll go and unlock the door.” She turns around and walks back through the sliding glass doors. Hastily I take two steps up at a time until I reach the second floor. Twisting the door handle, I walk into her space and notice that she isn’t in here.

“Harmony?” I call out, closing the door behind me.

“In the bedroom,” she calls out, alerting me to her location. Walking down the hallway, I see her sitting in the middle of her bed. She’s in a protective position, looking like life has beat her down. “What do you want to talk about?” she inquires, purposely avoiding eye contact.

I blow out a heavy sigh before I begin my explanation, “There are reasons why I’m not in a permanent relationship, Harmony. Reasons that I don’t typically ever feel the need or want to explain.”

I watch her head bob up and down, acknowledging my words. “Care to enlighten me, or have you just come back to ease your own guilt-ridden conscience? If that’s the case, you can see I’m still here, alive. I’ll get over whatever this was and move on. Who knows, maybe the man of my dreams is still out there, searching for me.” The thought of another man touching her has my blood boiling, fists clenched together as I mentally ready myself to maim whoever this imaginary character is. I can almost feel the joy I would get from ripping out his jugular with my bare hands.

Briefly closing my eyes, I collect and control my temper before responding, “Harmony?”

“Please just stop,” she interrupts me. “If you’re here to make excuses you can leave now. You know where the door is. But once you walk out of it a second time, don’t ever come back here. Leave me alone and never attempt to contact me or my family.” I wish she’d look at me so she can see the indecision and struggle I’m going through.

  “Don’t do this,” I implore.

“Why not? You did. Unless you’re ready to begin opening up to me and start sharing so we can face whatever it is together, I’m done.” She stands up and tries to walk past me.

Grabbing her wrist, I spin her around, pulling her into my arms as I slam my lips onto hers. I despise the thought of her walking away from me, putting further distance between us than what’s already present. Instead, I show her with my mouth what I’m feeling. I’ve never been good with emotions and expressing what I’m feeling inside out loud. She feigns a struggle at first, but eventually loosens up and wraps her arms around my neck. Lifting up on her toes to give her more leverage, she deepens the kiss.

Each one of us fighting for dominance over the other. When we finally break apart, I ask her, “What are you doing to me, woman?”

“I’m loving you, Mercenary,” she declares with her mouth, but the truth is found in her caramel orbs. They’re beaming with sincerity. My eyes swell at her bold statement and all forms of restraint I’d held onto dissipate. I lift her up and her arms snake their way around my neck while her legs wrap around my waist. Pressing her backside into the wall, I lose myself in a kiss with her once again. Pulling back, I rest my forehead against hers. “I won't be very good at this. But, I promise you that I will try.”

“I’ve never done this either, Mercenary.” Her words come out strangled but rule the air that I breathe.

“You’ll want to kill me within the first week,” I announce, voicing my fear.

“You’ll quite possibly want to do the same,” she rasps out.

“This could be a disaster,” I counter.

“This could be the best thing that’s ever happened to either one of us,” she affirms.

  Outlaw

Two hours later I’m wrapped in his arms and he’s twirling my hair between his fingers. We’re both coated in sex and sweat for the second time today. Looking over at the alarm clock I groan, “I’ve gotta get ready to head to the clubhouse.”

“Why? What’s happening at the MC?” His voice instantly becomes curious and laced with a hint of concern.

“Barbeque. My presence has been ‘requested’.” I air quote. We just finished talking for the last thirty minutes about his ex, Alyssa. How she played him and stole the last ounce of love and compassion he’d ever had for anyone. She would be a loving, doting girlfriend one minute, then picking a fight with him the next. It was a repetitious cycle so she could justify breaking up with him, to bed another man. Once out of her system, she’d then come crawling back. Then one day, she never came back, leaving where he stood in her life up in the air. It was typical and so
mething he’d allowed in his life, until he heard she’d moved in with another man. He’d foolishly thought they were on another ‘extended’ break. I have a lot to prove to him where it comes to the opposite sex, but I’ve never run from a challenge and don’t plan on starting now. I will show him he’s worthy of being loved and capable of loving someone. I will prove to him that not all women are out to destroy him. We may have a long road ahead of us, but the end result is what matters. We both agreed to give this blossoming connection between us a real shot and work out our problems instead of running from them. “Might be a good night to go ahead and let my father know about us.” I tap my chin with my finger as I contemplate that thought.

“How long until we’re supposed to be there?”

“Um...I’m supposed to be there in an hour, you on the other are not coming with me.”

“Harmony, you aren’t doing this on your own.”

“The last time you were in the presence of my father, he stabbed you. Or have you already forgotten?” I widen my eyes in his direction, alerting him to how crazy he is for wanting to go.

“I’m a man, your man. No one is keeping me from standing beside you. Especially when you’re making such an important announcement. I won’t sit back at home while you deal with him and the brothers. It’s not in my DNA to sit idly by and let you deal with the fallout.”

“I don’t want you getting hurt again,” I tell him.

“Well, then don’t ask me to pretend to be someone I’m not. Either I go with you, or neither one of us are going.” The fierce, protective look on his face lets me know there will be no further discussion on this topic.
