Ryder flexed his hips, and this time as the tip of his cock slid down, Stig tilted his hips at just the right moment, notching Ryder’s dick inside his ass. They both groaned at the sensation of being almost there. But it still wasn’t enough.

  “Come on, Ry,” Stig urged.

That was all it took. Ryder’s hips flexed, and his cock surged deeper.

Stig’s ass clamped down against the burn, but he swayed with Ryder, and soon that burn was replaced by pure erotic sensation. Ryder’s dick filled his ass and it felt amazing.

Ryder pumped into Stig’s ass with smooth strokes. He leaned up on his arms as his hips thrust and parried.

Stig reached up and brushed his fingers through Ryder’s thick hair. “You feel so good,” he gasped out.

Ryder leaned down and took Stig’s lips in a searing kiss. Ryder’s rhythm stuttered as the kiss deepened and evolved, their tongues chasing each other. Stig tilted his hips, and Ryder’s cock nailed his prostate.

  “Ryder!”

Ryder continued to hammer across that same spot over and over again. Stig practically sobbed at the overwhelming sensations flooding his groin and his heart.

Ryder stiffened on a groan and the telltale, stuttering jerks of his cock flexing and lengthening told Stig that Ryder was coming. That was all he needed to send him over the edge. His balls tightened and lightning arced up his spine just as Ryder grabbed hold of his dick and jacked him once, twice.

Creamy jets erupted from the tip of Stig’s cock, coating them both. Ryder’s dick continued to twitch in Stig’s ass, sending shocks of pleasure rocketing throughout his entire groin.

He moaned low as he clutched at Ryder. “I wish we could stay like this forever. Everything’s perfect when you’re inside me like this. It all makes sense.”

Ryder panted against Stig’s throat, but he made a sound of agreement as if to let Stig know he was still alive, just slightly comatose for the moment.

Slowly Ryder sat up, unpeeling their sticky torsos with a grimace. “Shower?”

  “Yeah,” Stig agreed.

Ryder grabbed hold of the condom and pulled out of Stig’s ass.

Stig winced at the sting as Ryder slid free. That never felt as good after an orgasm as it did before.

They’d just finished their quick shower when a knock sounded at the door. He looked over at Ryder, who looked like he could sink down on the bathroom floor and sleep for a week. He looked completely wrung out.

“I got it. You stay here and dry off.” Stig snagged the complementary white, fluffy bathrobe off the hook behind the bathroom door and wrapped it around himself.

He glanced through the room as he rushed to the door. The clothes strewn all the way from the door to the bed in complete disarray along with the distinctive smell of sex...yeah, there was no hiding what they’d just been doing. But the wait staff had probably seen worse, so Stig tried not to blush as he opened the door.

The waiter didn’t even raise an eyebrow when Stig opened the door in nothing but a robe. “I have your food, sir.”

After the hotel room door shut, Ryder exited the bathroom with only a small towel slung low around his hips. Beads of water clung to his lean, muscular chest. Suddenly, Stig’s mouth watered for a completely different reason. He leaned back against the door and watched Ryder like a predatory animal scenting its prey.

Ryder slowed his approach. “What’s that look about?” he asked suspiciously.

“I’m just thinking. You’re much younger than me. That means your recovery time is faster than me. I’d like to take advantage of that.”

“Should I be scared?” Ryder’s eyebrows raised but so did the front of the towel.

Stig shook his head. “No, not at all. In fact, I think”—he pulled out one of the chairs at the table—“that you should sit back and relax. I’m feeling the need for a different type of protein supplement right now.”

The towel had become a full on tent now, and Stig grinned with anticipation.

Ryder hesitated but then he sprawled in the chair, his legs wide, that tent becoming more and more pronounced. Ryder took a long, leisurely stroke of it over the towel. “What do you have in mind?” His voice had become more guttural.

“Oh, I think you know.” Stig circled the chair, examining Ryder from every beautiful angle, marveling his luck at finding this man, the perfect man for him. He gently rubbed across Ryder’s shoulders.

Ryder arched into his touch, thrusting out his chest. Stig reached down and tweaked those hard nipples and took a bite out of the back of Ryder’s neck.

  “Stig...”

“Yeah, baby, I got you,” Stig whispered in his ear. “I’ll take care of you.” Then he circled around in front of Ryder and dropped to the floor in between his knees. His eyes glittered with arousal.

Stig stroked both his hands up the insides of Ryder’s thighs under the towel, but he didn’t remove it. Not yet. In fact, he didn’t do anything but run his hands up and down the insides of Ryder’s thighs, enjoying the texture of the springy hair and the flex of the muscle under his palms. Ryder’s buttocks clenched, sending a ripple of tense energy from his thighs to his abdominals.

“You are so beautiful,” Stig whispered. “How did I get so lucky?”

“You’re not the lucky one here,” Ryder said and he wrapped his hand around Stig’s back, tugging him forward for a kiss. But Stig wasn’t going to let Ryder distract him from his mission. As they kissed, he reached under the towel and ran his hands up his thighs, thumbs first, until they met the sack holding Ryder’s balls.

There Stig stilled and let his fingers run over the two round orbs under the loose skin. He rolled and palmed them, still staying away from the ultimate goal.

Unable to contain himself, Stig pulled out of the kiss and dove under the towel. He spread Ryder’s legs even wider to make room for his head and sucked one of those precious balls into his mouth, rolling his tongue over and around it.

  “Ungh, Stig.”

They’d just showered, but even freshly washed there was no disguising the musky scent that belonged only to Ryder. It was strongest here, and Stig was pretty sure he could get high off the smell. It was so good. He sucked on first one ball while rolling the other with this hand, and then he switched, laving the other.

Ryder’s hard cock bounced and begged for attention, but Stig ignored the slight movement. He wanted Ryder more desperate before he went for the glory spot.

Ryder’s balls were becoming tighter, so he sucked both of them into the tight confines of his mouth. At the same time, he slid his finger along Ryder’s crease to his taint, teasing.

Ryder slid down lower in the chair, giving Stig even better access and permission to play. If he were able to, he’d smile at the compliance of the move. But since his mouth was occupied with other things, he simply rolled his tongue over the globes in his mouth more to show his approval.

Ryder gently cupped his head, and Stig gently probed the puckered bud of his asshole.

“Yes,” Ryder whispered, and he writhed on the chair subtly seeking more of Stig’s touch, a deeper touch. Soon, he was begging. “Please, Stig, please...”

Stig knew what Ryder wanted, but he wasn’t ready to give it to him yet. Instead, he let Ryder’s balls drop free from his mouth and lowered his lips to the area directly behind his balls, licking and teasing, scraping his tongue over the sensitive skin. His single finger still probed Ryder’s hole, and now he added a second as he rolled his tongue around the rim.

Ryder virtually levitated above him. A glance at Ryder’s cock told Stig that he probably shouldn’t tease too much longer or else he’d lose it before they got to the main event. He teased his tongue around Ryder’s rim one more time, removed his fingers, and replaced them with his tongue. Ryder panted with need as he clutched the arms of the chair. While Stig’s tongue explored, he finally reached up and grabbed hold of Ryder’s cock, using the fluid coating the tip to smooth the silken flesh beneath his hand.

&n
bsp; Stig stayed like that for almost a minute then with a final stroke of his tongue, he left Ryder’s ass. He lifted Ryder’s cock and sucked it down in a single swallow that had Ryder screaming his name. Fluid coated his throat as Ryder fought for control, but this wasn’t a battle that Stig planned to allow Ryder to win. He pulled up, took a deep breath and then took Ryder as far back into his throat as he could, swallowing at the same time. He did that over and over and over again. Tears filled his eyes from the punishment, but the effort was worth it.

Within seconds, the spongy tip of the head expanded and cum exploded from it, coating Stig’s throat and tongue as he pulled off slightly to swallow Ryder’s load.

Eventually, Ryder tugged at his head. “No more,” he panted. “I can’t. No more.”

Stig leaned back with a satisfied smile at the dazed, wrecked expression on Ryder’s face. “That’s a good look on you,” he said as he leaned against Ryder’s leg, working to catch his breath.

“What?” Ryder gasped with a roll of his eyes. “Dazed and confused?”

Stig laughed and kissed the inside of Ryder’s thigh. “I was thinking more along the lines of debauched and sexy.”

Ryder huffed out a breath. “That works, too. Damn, Stig. We just thought I had brain damage before. I don’t think my focus is going to ever come back again.”

Stig levered himself off the floor with a chuckle. “You’ll be fine. You just need some sustenance. Come on, our food is getting cold.”

Ryder grabbed his hand. “Wait. What about you?”

Stig turned and kissed him. “I’m old, remember? That was entirely for you.”

Ryder’s gaze dropped to the bulge under Stig’s robe. “Your body says otherwise.”

“Ignore it. Right now, I want to feed you more than sex. Let’s eat. Then we need to get to bed. Tomorrow’s going to be a big day.”

Stig tried not to let the frown that flashed across Ryder’s face bother him, but as they ate their burgers, it kept niggling at him. Along with what Ryder had said as they’d gotten out of the truck when they arrived, he wasn’t sure what to think. They’d both gone quiet as they ate. It could have been because their mouths were occupied by food, but he didn’t think that was it.

“Ry, you know that no matter if this treatment works tomorrow or not, it’s not going to change the way I feel about you, right?”

Ryder gave him a tight smile and set his burger down on his plate. “That’s nice of you to say, but we both know you’re putting a lot of hope into this. I get it. I do, but I think you’re going to be disappointed. Then we’ll just see. No matter what, it will be okay. I get it.”

Ryder looked out the window, not meeting his gaze.

“Wait a minute, do you honestly think this thing between us will end if this treatment doesn’t work?” He could see it on Ryder’s face. That was exactly what he thought.

“Hell, no, Ryder. I fell in love with you exactly as you are now. Nothing is going to change that. Fucking-A, how shallow do you think I am? Do you think I don’t see you? All of you? If that’s what you think, we can leave right now. Go back to Denver. I’d be thrilled to spend the rest of my life with you exactly as you are. I get that sometimes life is rough. The only reason I’ve ever wanted you to try this was for you. I know how awful it is when you’re in pain. Of course, I don’t want that for you anymore. I love you, you idiot. That means I don’t want you to hurt, but I don’t need to...” He threw up his hands. “I don’t know...I don’t need to fix you, because as you are right now is pretty awesome.”

Ryder’s mouth had dropped open, and he looked at Stig like he’d grown a second head. “You love me?”

“Uh, yeah. And unless you were just exhausted when we arrived and blowing smoke up my ass, then you feel the exact same way. Dammit, Ry, I plan to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Ryder swallowed a couple of times. His blue eyes were shining, and he seemed like he wasn’t sure what to say. Then, he grabbed Stig’s hand. “You know that was the most unromantic, romantic thing anyone’s ever said to me.”

“That doesn’t even make sense,” Stig grumbled as he looked down at their intertwined hands. Then he got brave enough to meet Ryder’s humor-filled gaze. Relief flooded him. “So, what do you want to do?”

“I’m not sure what you’re asking about. It sounded to me like there was a proposal in there, but maybe we should wait a bit longer before we get married.”

  Stig choked.

“I realize I’m irresistible and all,” Ryder continued with a flirty smirk, “but I want to spend some more time getting to know you before we take that step.” He reached over and pulled Stig out of his chair and into Ryder’s lap. “Maybe we should just date for now, maybe fuck, and maybe”—he took a deep breath—“see what the doc says about my brain tomorrow.”

“Seriously? Because Ry, I don’t want you to do this just for me. I meant what I said earlier. My main goal in life is to have you happy. If that means leaving here tonight, I’m okay with that.”

“And I can be okay with staying. At this point, what will it hurt? Besides, I’m kind of falling in love with this room and don’t want to leave it yet...kind of like how I’m falling in love with you.” Ryder kissed him long and deep, a kiss of commitment and love.

When they pulled apart, Stig leaned his forehead against Ryder’s. “We really have to work on your analogies. I’m not sure if I like being compared to an overused hotel room.”

Ryder blew out a breath. “And already the nagging begins. You know this isn’t the best way to gain my love and devotion, right?”

“I thought you just said I already had that.”

“Oh, yeah...I guess I did. So, how about we go to bed?”

“Best idea I’ve heard all night.”

  Chapter Thirty-One

  Ryder

Ryder took a deep breath and looked up at the clinic in front of him. On the fourth floor, there was a doctor who promised to try and help him. Would it work? He had his doubts, but was willing to try...for Stig.

“Are you nervous?” Stig asked him.

“Not in the traditional sense, no.”

  “In the untraditional sense?”

“Maybe a little. Every time I go to a new place like this, there’s a mix of anticipation of what could happen and trepidation about what probably will...nothing good.” He gave Stig a sad smile, trying to let him know that he’d be okay when that happened...again. It would be disappointing, yeah, but he’d faced disappointments before.

Stig’s mouth pressed into a firm line.

Ryder wanted to be more positive for him but didn’t want to get his hopes up. “Come on. Let’s do this.”

Ten minutes later, they were seated in Dr. Sturgarten’s personal office, not an exam room like Ryder had expected.

While they waited, Stig paced the edges of the room, examining the art. “He has a good eye,” Stig told him.

Ryder grinned. Stig was never too far from his passion. But then he grimaced at the painting Stig had focused on. It was a modern style with splashes of color that looked almost violent in nature especially since red was the main color of the piece.

Stig didn’t miss Ryder’s expression of distaste. “Yeah, Kelex’s style isn’t for everyone, but his brushstroke textures are incredible.” Stig winked at him. “They’re also extremely valuable, because Kelex has an incredibly savvy public relations team. He only puts one or two paintings up for sale a year, which raises the price for them incrementally.” Stig shrugged. “It’s all about supply and demand. He’s the hot new thing, but if I were to guess...” Stig pointed back at the painting. “That’s one of his very first pieces. If the doctor has owned it for long, he’s made a nifty little profit on it.”

At that moment, an attractive, middle-aged man in a lab coat strode through the door, looking down at his file. He looked up at the two of them as he entered. “Sorry, I’m late. I’m Doctor Sturgarten. Which one of you is Ryder Garrett?”

  Ryder
stood up and went to shake hands with the doctor. “I’m Ryder. This is my friend, Stig Minton. He’s into art and was just admiring your...” He looked to Stig for verification. “Kelex?”

Stig nodded. “Yes, I’m guessing it’s one of his early works.”

The doctor’s eyes sparkled. “Very early. Kelex is my son, so I get first dibs on all his works. It’s a perk for paying his rent when he couldn’t give his art away on the street corner.” The doctor chuckled. “Luckily, that’s not an issue for him anymore. It’s nice to meet you both. Come and sit down, and we’ll talk about Mr. Garrett’s case and our plan for treatment.”

The doctor set the file down on his desk, folded his hands on top of it, and focused on Ryder. “I don’t know how much you know about what we do here, but I’ve read through all your files, and I think we can help alleviate at least some of your lasting issues. I know you’ve probably heard it a million times from probably every doctor you’ve ever seen since you had your TBI, but the brain is a complex organism. Everyone reacts differently to treatment. Our idea here is to use your brain like the muscle it is and get it back into the best shape it can be. The injury and its lingering scar tissue will always be there. Here, we just give you the tools to work around that.”

“That sounds good,” Ryder said, “but like you said, I’ve heard it all before. I’m skeptical and will believe your miracle cure when I see it.”

The doctor laughed good-naturedly, which made Ryder respect him even more. “No miracles are being performed here. Just good, old-fashioned science used in a somewhat new and adaptive way. Let me see if I can explain it to you so that it makes sense.”

He typed on his laptop and the large flat screen behind him on the wall lit up with a large graphic showing a three-D visual of an eye and its pathway into the brain. “Okay, it’s no secret that your brain has been damaged. There’s an area that doesn’t work as well as the rest of it. When you’re fatigued, that becomes worse.”

He opened Ryder’s file and pulled out a photo of Ryder’s art that he had never seen before. This must be part of what had been discussed between the doctor’s office, Cari, and Stig last week while he’d been incapacitated.
