“No, Dad. I’m sure. I’m doubly sure. Just had a wave of…”

“What the fuck am I doing?” Norman laughed.

  “Yeah.”

“I’d be worried if you didn’t. She’s a fine girl. Perfect for you. Hell, the first day you brought her to the ranch, your mom told me then that you’d found your soul mate.”

  “She did… I mean, yes. I did.”

“Then let go of your worries. Set your sights on living a long, happy life with Brea, Neville.”

  “Sawyer.”

  “Hardheaded little…”

“Hey, I love you, Dad.” Sawyer’s voice grew thick.

His father’s eyes misted. Wrapping him in a manly hug, Norman slapped his back. “I love you, too, son.”

His mom came down the stairs wearing a smile from ear to ear. “Brea is gorgeous…just gorgeous. I can’t wait to see the look on your face when she walks through the door.”

“Well, let’s get you seated then, Momma. We don’t want to keep our boy waiting now do we?”

“Oh, just a minute,” Nola scolded. “I haven’t even told Neville—”

“Sawyer,” he and his father corrected in unison.

“Our son how handsome he is in his tuxedo.”

“I’ll wait for you by the door, precious.” Norman smiled.

Tears filled his mother’s eyes as she stared up at Sawyer. She hadn’t been this happy the first time he’d gotten married. That fact only served to solidify what he knew in his heart…Brea was his life.

“I know you’ll make her happy, sweet boy. And I know in my heart she’ll do the same for you. I love you…love you with all my heart.”

Sawyer bit back the lump of emotion lodged in his throat. “I love you, too. You’re the best mom a kid could ever have.”

Nola swiped away her tears, kissed his cheek, and then hugged him tight. “Be happy,” she whispered in his ear, then let him go. Wiping her eyes once more, she draped her hand over his father’s arm and walked outside.

Sawyer stood on the deck beside Colton. The preacher stood a few feet away, and sitting at his feet was Ozzie wearing a black bow tie. Sucking in a deep breath as Jade, with her visible baby bump, stepped through the door, Sawyer darted a glance at Colton. The goofy, love-struck grin that spread across his friend’s mouth made his shoulders shake in silent laughter. Sawyer knew he’d look just as stupid in a couple more seconds, but he didn’t care. No fucker on the planet was half as lucky as he was.

Brea’s father stepped out next. He moved to the side as he took his daughter’s arm. When she cleared the portal and raised her head, Sawyer nearly swallowed his tongue. He drank in Brea’s lush, ripe lips and the swells of her breasts that were all but pouring out of the strapless white gown covered in lace and hugging her beguiling curves. But the glow of sheer joy that lit her face and sparkled in her eyes was what took his breath away.

When Brea sent him a quivering smile, Sawyer grinned. Knowing she was nervous only furthered his resolve to give her…everything. To calm her with reassurance when her insecurities threatened to drag her under, like now. To bolster her courage and face the bumps life tossed their way as one. To shower her and the family they’d create with all the love in his heart, till life left his body.

The preacher’s words were at first nothing but a buzz in his ears. All Sawyer could focus on was Brea…his beautiful, headstrong, sassy, thrilling, erotic, and sensual Brea.

He took her hand and grinned as that electric current sped up his arm. A little voice in the back of his head told him to get used to it. She’d always charge his system in this same way.

“Do you, Neville Sawyer Grayson, take Brea Rosalind Gates to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others until death do you part?”

Sawyer squeezed Brea’s hand and gazed into her twinkling dark eyes. Then swallowed and smiled. With a voice loud enough to be heard in heaven, Sawyer nodded, resolutely and said, “Hell, yes, I do!”

  She was a vision

  An angel.

  His wet dream.

  His bride.
