He might not be human anymore, but it wasn’t lost on him that this was a precious gift.

His hands went to Jolie’s hips, so he could get more power behind each thrust. There, his fingers found Jacques’s. Instead of moving them, they twined them together, binding them as one.

  The circle was complete.

“Harder,” Jacques hissed, as he stared up at the two people he loved.

Flynn was grateful that Jolie wasn’t human because he could take her as roughly as he wanted.

‘Please!’ she whispered into his mind as Jacques pulled her down to bury his tongue in her mouth.

  Flynn couldn’t handle the visual.

This was stuff fantasies were made of in life.

As he slammed repeatedly into her body, driving Jolie up and down Jacques’s erection, the energy around them began to build.

  They could all feel it.

  ‘Harder,’ she begged silently.

  Flynn obeyed.

As the waves of heat surrounded them, Flynn knew he was close. The room smelled like sex and blood, and it called to everything in him.

Staring down, he watched as Jacques’s eyes bled black. When his body bowed, fangs peeked from beneath his lips.

Flynn blinked, knowing the predator was there.

  It was time.

Thrusting with all he had, Jolie ruptured apart around them. The tightening of her body around theirs was too much to handle.

Flynn exploded, pouring hotly into her.

  Jacques did the same.

All three shouted in pleasure as the orgasm tore through them.

  They could feel it.

Death was there, drinking in the energy they’d created.

As Flynn tumbled, he tried not to land on Jolie. Instead, he found himself half on the mattress, half on Jacques.

  Both men were breathing heavy.

Jolie was beside them, eyes closed, lips parted, and not moving.

“Are you okay?” Flynn finally managed, croaking it out.

She nodded. “I think so. I can’t feel my toes yet.”

Jacques laughed. “Someone’s going to get hurt one of these days.”

“I think I pulled a groin muscle,” Flynn teased.

Jolie snorted. “I’ll kiss it and make it better.”

“Yeah, that’s probably a bad idea. We’ll be doing this all over again.”

When Jolie still didn't move, Jacques knew why. “Free me, Flynn.”

  Brogan rolled off his mate.

“Come here, my love,” he said to Jolie. “You need to feed, and soon.”

“I’m sorry,” Flynn blurted. “Did I take too much blood? I forgot about the pregnancy for a second there.”

She smiled sweetly at him as Jacques pulled her mouth to his throat.

  “I’m good,” she admitted.

Then, she bit down, burying her fangs in her mate’s flesh. As she gulped, both men could feel her hunger.

Flynn knew he was up next.

When Jacques hardened again beneath her body, Jolie choked on blood as she laughed. They were going to kill each other yet.

  This was proof.

“Are you all right?” asked Flynn, patting her on the back.

Jolie sat up and licked he lips. “Yes, I was just thinking about something funny.”

Jacques leaned against the headboard and cocked an eyebrow. “I think I should be insulted. There is nothing funny about sex.”

She was well aware, especially with these two men.

“Come here,” Flynn offered, baring his throat for her. He smiled when she didn't hesitate to move into his arms.

  Yeah, this was heaven.

He’d once pictured angels with white wings, but this was more his style.

Jolie teased his throat before finding the spot. When she picked her favorite location, she sunk her fangs into his flesh.

“Jesus! That never gets old,” Flynn muttered while she sucked on his neck.

Now he knew why she was laughing. Like some magic elixir, he was hard again. Jolie just brought it out in him.

When she released Flynn’s throat, she shared another kiss.

“Not to blame anyone,” she began, “but someone’s a sloppy eater, and we’re a mess. Maybe we should take a bubble bath.”

“Hey!” Flynn said, checking out the streaks of blood down her torso. “I wanted to get you messy!”

Jacques laughed. “Then you can’t argue about sitting in a tub of girly bubbles, now can you?”

He opened his mouth and then changed his mind. “Point taken.”

Jolie grinned. “I’ll get the tub ready.”

With that, she was out of the bed and heading toward the bathroom. When she grinned wickedly from the doorway, their hearts kicked in their chests.

  And…

It was hard not to notice but they were both aroused again.

“Man… I think we may die during sex,” said Flynn, tucking his hair behind his ears.

“It’s all because of her,” Jacques admitted.

Flynn was confused. “Yeah well, of course it is. It certainly isn’t you getting me all excited,” he said, laughing.

Jacques snickered. “No, that’s not what I meant. When the female vampyre is with child, she gives off a pheromone that attracts the males. It is nature’s way of guaranteeing that she will have enough blood to keep the baby and herself alive.”

“Oh, man. You just said males. This isn’t making me feel better about taking her to a biker bar filled with more vampyres.”

  Yeah, he was well aware.

“It’s going to get worse. Now she is just giving it off, wait until she becomes…. What’s the word I’m looking for?” he asked rubbing his chin.

  “Horny?” Flynn supplied in amusement.

“Yes, that’s the word. This is just the beginning. Our Jolie will eventually get more and more hungry for both blood and sex.”

At least the biker bar would be over by then.

Flynn followed his mate out of bed, but before they could reach the bathroom, he placed his hand on his arm. “Are you talking nonstop sex?”

  “Pretty much.”

“Hallelujah. I take it back. There is definitely a God.”

  ∞ Chapter Twenty-Six ∞

  Monday Evening

The two mates relaxed in the family room, waiting for Jolie and Mathew to join them. In a few minutes, they would be leaving for the biker bar, and who knew what would be waiting for them.

Both men had helped each other dress, vampyre goth they knew, street biker grunge… not so much. It had taken them a considerable amount of time to get ready. Fortunately, Camille and Chloe had offered their assistance and in the process, saved their asses.

While both men had rested, Chloe went to the local shops to pick up anything she could find that would work. There were vests, biker shirts, and paraphernalia. It was all in hopes of making a cop look less like one to save his life. Bikers hated the law, and unfortunately for Flynn, he lost this one on both counts. Human and cop all rolled into one meant one thing--walking target.

Hopefully, his clothing would help him blend in a little bit more.

To add to the façade, Jacques rented some motorcycles.

  Oh, they had bikes.

Only, if they rolled up on street racing bikes in flashy colors, they’d be screwed. So instead, Jacques picked out pricy hogs that would allow them to blend in.

  He wanted to laugh.

His life was so vastly different. A year ago, he’d be compulsively getting lost in work, and now…he wasn’t even thinking about his job.

He was focused on his family.

As the three Harleys were delivered, both men inspected them. Don’t get them wrong, they loved their Interceptors. They were sleek, fast, and gorgeous, but for the night they needed to be retired. Had there been more time, Jacques would have found three custom bikes to suit their needs, and bought them. Time wasn’t on his side, so he prayed for their sakes they’d pass bike
r scrutiny.

As for their clothing, both men went with beat up jeans. Full leather wasn’t going to cut it. Not vampyre leather anyway. Flynn opted to lose the splashes of color he was fond of, and stuck with black. The t-shirt was simple and carried the emblem of an iron cross. Over it he threw a leather vest with patches. Some were for POWs, some for biker affiliations, and none of which he understood.

Yet, the vest was the most important part of his disguise. It hid the double holster with two of his guns.

  Both were loaded for vampyres.

  Silver all the way.

Generally, he’d go with regular bullets out on the street, but not when they were walking into a vampyre biker den of iniquity. When in hell, bring your own escape route.

While he loved his mates, Flynn was nobody’s fool. In this world, it was kill or be killed, and he liked breathing.

Jacques was dressed much the same, black biker boots, jeans, and a t-shirt. Around his head was a skull covered bandana, and mirrored glasses, ready to be worn. He too was packing silver.

  The throwing kind.

“I feel edgy,” muttered Flynn, fidgeting with the cross around his neck. It had been a gift from Jolie, and it was gaudy enough to pass biker scrutiny as some emblem. In fact, it made him look like some pirate who stole a treasure chest of Spanish gold.

  “Me too.”

Mathew sauntered in and both men were impressed.

The younger vampyre had gone with jeans too, but over them were biker chaps and boots. He, too, went with a black t-shirt, but he’d ripped off the sleeves, and it made him look tougher.

The astounding part was from his neck up.

Mathew had braided his hair in two long braids down his back, pierced one ear and was wearing three studs. Taking off his sunglasses, he paused for an assessment. Turning around there was a picture of a half-naked woman lying across a hog emblazing the back.

“Nice touch,” grinned Brogan. “She’s going to kick your ass for that t-shirt.”

  Jacques laughed. “Yeah, she will.”

Mathew grinned. “Other than that, how do I look?”

Both men said the same word at the same time. “Believable.”

Mathew grinned, taking a seat across from his masters. “The donor that sired me was full Native,” he offered, answering the question he knew they were pondering.

“You can tell. With your hair braided, you can see it.” Flynn admitted. “Your features are very distinctive now that you can see them. You should pull your hair back more often.”

Maybe he would, now that he didn't have to be afraid.

“All you’re missing is Flynn’s tan.”

He grinned wickedly. “It’s what sets me apart from you, Jacques. Don’t be a hater.” Then he paused, knowing they had more pressing issues. “Have you seen what Jolie is wearing?” he questioned Mathew.

He nodded. “She pierced my ear for me. All I saw was jeans and a robe. She covered herself up for what she referred to as ‘the big reveal’.

  Shit!

  They were screwed.

“Well, at least her bottom half is covered,” stated Flynn, trying to find the silver lining. He recalled the Goth club outfits. Their mate reveled in tormenting them as much as possible.

“Just stay calm, Jacques,” stated Flynn.

The vampyre glanced over. “Yeah, okay, Flynn. I have a feeling you’ll lose it first.”

  Mathew snickered.

  “What?”

“He’s right. Jacques will think it, but you’re the one who’s going to say it out loud. Your filter is definitely broken or was never installed in this model.”

  Okay, they had him there.

“You’re lucky. Most primuses don’t tolerate things like that. I’ve had a couple before being shuffled off to Delina’s.”

Jacques knew that the head of a family didn't often like to be questioned. It proved that Flynn was definitely meant for Jolie.

“She knows not to fight me. I’ll put her over my knee and…”

  Then they heard her.

There was the telltale clicking of heels down the hall. When she entered the room, there wasn’t a robe.

  That was for damn sure.

Jolie had gone with low rise jeans that dipped dangerously low on her hips, and a simple fringed vest that was cut deep across the front.

Brogan whistled. “Nice, baby. For a while there, we were worried about what you’d be wearing. You went relatively tame this time.”

Jacques didn't buy it for one second. He’d been burned by that lackadaisical attitude before. Flynn had a lot to learn.

Jolie sauntered into the room. When she stood in front of her mates, she yanked the vest open. It popped free from the snaps, giving them a private show of what was underneath.

Flynn swallowed as he eyed up the tiny black triangles of leather holding her ample breasts at bay.

“Holy shit!” he muttered, staring at the obscenely small fabric.

  She laughed.

“Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,” muttered Flynn, as he approached his mate. Immediately, his fingers wandered her flesh, stroking the bared skin and leather. “Why am I not surprised?”

When she turned in a circle, Mathew was given a view and his eyes went wide.

Flynn and Jacques stared at her ass in the nearly painted on jeans and simultaneously growled in warning.

“Where did you learn to dress like this?” Flynn asked, still dumbfounded. Here, he was engaged to a doctor. This was so far on the other side of the spectrum that she had to have help.

“I saw this in your mind.”

He flushed. “Uh, hello. Private fantasy areas are off limits, and especially shouldn’t be used in a public forum.”

Jolie approached, going into his arms. Reaching for his mind, she spoke, ‘So, you didn’t want me to play sexy dress up for you?’

‘Jesus, Jolie. You know I did, but let’s keep it quiet, huh? Mathew is staring at you like he’d like to lick all the way up your body.’

  She nuzzled against him.

‘Maybe later you can put me over your knee if I’m a bad girl.’

  Flynn swallowed.

‘Oh, and I intend to be very bad.’

Jacques heard the conversation and started laughing.

  “What?”

“I suffered for centuries. It’s going to be nice to have someone to defray all her wicked intentions. She’s very bad.”

Jolie loved tormenting them. The priceless look on Flynn’s face said it all.

Turning around, she snapped up the vest. “Shall we go?”

Oh, if she thought she could run hot then turn it off, Jolie had another thing coming. Flynn moved fast, tossing Jolie over his shoulder.

  Mathew gasped.

  “Flynn Xavier! Put me down!”

He ignored her demands. “I’m getting into the role, baby. Biker men manhandle their women. You’re my biker bitch, and I’m your man. Know your duty, woman.”

Jolie started laughing. She truly loved her human mate. His sense of humor tended to show up when the tension was thickest.

So, instead of getting mad, she slapped him on the ass.

Mathew watched the three and relaxed. At first, he was nervous the way Flynn had moved at her. He didn't trust humans, and it was hard to not watch Jolie’s mate with suspicion.

“You’re mine to boss around while we’re at the bar,” Flynn added, winking at Jacques.

“I can’t wait to watch this,” he said, amused by the entire thing. In six hundred years, he’d never seen anyone fluster Jolie quite like Flynn did.

  It was a gift.

“Flynn Brogan! I’m not your play thing! Put me down! My breasts are falling out of this outfit!”

He laughed more. “You should have thought about that beforehand.”

Instead of getting angry, she checked out the view. She had to admit that her detective looked really hot in his attire.

“I can hear what you’re thinking,” he added, lau
ghing as he slapped her on the ass to prove a point.

Jolie felt her blood pressure rising, and it wasn’t from hanging upside down. When no one was looking, she grabbed a handful of Flynn’s ass.

  He growled.

When the three entered the garage, Detective Gress was already standing there, waiting for them. Obviously, he believed he had a snowball’s chance in hell of going.

Flynn gingerly lowered Jolie to the ground, and then wrapped an arm around her shoulders. On the outside, it looked possessive, but both he and Jolie knew the truth. This was the first confrontation between them since the bullets.

Jolie could feel his nervousness. Trying to offer him some reassurance, she slid her hand into his back pocket.

Flynn felt the tension abate as her head came to rest on his shoulder. It was a reminder that no matter what, she had his back.

  They were partners.

Jacques moved closer, flanking his upset mate.

  “Hey, Tommy,” Flynn said cautiously.

“I’m coming with you,” he replied, raising his hand to stop his friend’s objection. “I get the death part, and I value your concerns, but you may need back up. I’ll take your Hummer and park outside the bar to watch the front door for you.”

Flynn could feel the light touch of his mate.

‘It’s your call, my love,’ Jolie whispered into his head.

  Jacques agreed.

This was a tough situation. For a full year, Tommy had his back. While he’d replaced him, that bond was still there.

He’d give him the benefit of the doubt.

  “Okay.”

Tommy was shocked. He figured there was going to be a big fight again. “Seriously? That’s it?”

“One condition,” added Jolie for her mate.

He looked at her suspiciously. “Yeah?”

“You donate to both Jacques and Flynn, so we can all be in your mind. It’ll help keep open communication.”

  “Deal.”

Jacques knew they needed to move fast. The human detective looked skittish. He approached, his fangs appearing in his mouth. “May I have your wrist?”

He held out his hand, flipping it over. “Is this going to hurt or feel like when Jolie drank from me?”

“I can distract you.” When Jacques noticed the man’s eyes went blank, he bit down into his wrist and drank enough.
