Scottie jets herself forward, springing herself next to Stacy. Then, she smashes her whole body into the girl, using all her strength to keep her balance while throwing Stacy off. It works. Stacy falls to the wayside on her side, skidding along the track. “That’s gonna leave a mark, bitch!” Scottie cries as she propels herself forward and into the lead.
Chapter Three
The Tiger Mamas are playing at The Sleepless tonight. Scottie stares at the band roster in awe and excitement. It’s really too good to be true. Cassy stands next to her, trying to get a look at what has Scottie so enthralled. When she sees the band name scrawled across the darkened doors, she grabs Scottie’s hand. “Dude. No way. We love them.”
“We’ve always loved them,” adds Scottie, lacing her fingers through Cassy’s hand. They first heard the Tiger Mamas play when they were fourteen – barely even old enough to be allowed inside of The Sleepless. They snuck inside, darting past the bouncer and into the small, dark venue with flashing lights sparkling seemingly at will. A group of boys moshed just in front of the stage as the band head banged its way through its set.
And the best thing about the Tiger Mamas? They’re an all-girl metal band. All - girl. This made Scottie and Cassy instantly fall in love with them. Their Mohawks, their leather, their big, heavy boots. It made Scottie hopeful that she really could grow up to be as badass as she wanted to be. And now they are playing at their favorite venue during summer vacation in their own hometown. How classic is that?
Scottie and Cassy jump to the front of the line to get in. They both wore low-cut shirts that revealed their supple cleavage and mini shorts that showed off the cheeks of their asses. In the past, this had worked to their advantage, allowing them to get in free. It works like a charm this time, too. The bouncer hands them a pink, paper bracelet and waves them in.
“I can’t fucking believe we’re about to see the Tiger Mamas again. We should have worn our t-shirts we bought from them,” Cassy says, glancing around the room.
“Oh, well. Yea, we should have. If I’d thought to look at the roster online today before I left for practice, I would have told you.” Scottie glances around the venue, searching for familiar faces. Most of the people there are from her high school and younger than her. Or, they’re visiting from college, but those people are even fewer. “We have a few opening sets to go before the Tiger Mamas play. Wanna sneak into the backroom where they store the instruments? We might run into some bands hanging out.”
“I don’t know, Scottie. That’s against the rules,” Cassy replies timidly, glancing around to see if anyone is listening to their conversation.
“Oh, come on, Cassy. It’ll be cool. No one will even notice.” Scottie grabs her friend’s hand and pulls her toward the backroom. She can still remember hanging out back there whenever she’d sneak in. She had her first beers, smoked her first joint, and even had her first make out session with one of the lead singers she used to date. So many memories. She also remembers her times with Cassy. They used to come every single weekend with whatever money they’d managed to scrounge up that week.
Scottie and Cassy stand in front of the backroom door, as Scottie glances around to see if anyone is looking. Then, she gently and carefully pushes the door open, leading Cassy into the backroom. It’s completely empty except for the instruments, speakers, and other random equipment left back there by band members. Guitars lay strewn around on their stands, pieces of drum sets, and wires to microphones snake around the cluttered space. It smells like old wood and sweat.
Scottie plops down on the torn, leather couch in the back of the room, rubbing the space next to her to invite Cassy to sit as well. Cassy looks around, unsure of her surroundings. She’s always been such a goodie-goodie about things, but Scottie’s the one who could lead her astray to some extent. That never made Cassy throw caution to the wind, though. “Well,” she says hesitantly. “This is… cozy.”
“Yea. I remember coming back here with my ex boyfriends and stuff. Remember Patrick? The lead singer of Eclipse by Sanity? He was the first person I ever smoked with. And it was back here. And then Paris? That drummer for that one band? We fooled around on this couch. Lots of memories back here.”
“I’ve never been to this part of the venue,” Cassy says. “But I definitely made lots of memories around here though.”
“We both did. This used to be our hangout spot, before we graduated and got old.”
“It was only two years ago, Scott,” Cassy giggles. “It’s not like we’re going to our ten-year reunion.”
“I’m just saying. It was a long time ago. Or at least it feels like it.” Scottie hugs her knees to her chest and stares at the floor for a moment. She wonders whether or not she should make sure her relationship with Cassy is clarified. She also doesn’t want to lose their new special connection. Memories of the dream she had early in the morning replay in her head. She wonders if that would ever be a real possibility. She wonders a lot of things right now.
“There’s something you’re not telling me, Scott.” Cassy turns her head toward Scottie, cocking an eyebrow. “You’ve been really distant about some things lately.”
“No I haven’t. What do you mean?”
“You know what I mean. Best friends never keep secrets. And best friends don’t tattle on each other, either. So. What are you worried about?”
“Um, I’m not really worried about anything. Well, I guess there’s a lot of different things I’ve been thinking about. Like, what are we going to do about our new apartment, Mom and Donnie are divorcing, things like that.”
“Yea, but there’s more. And you and I both know it.”
Chapter Four
Scottie sucks in a deep breath. She may as well spill her guts to Cassy. She always has in the past. And besides, it’s like what Donnie said. No point in not communicating. “Actually, Cassy, there are a few things that are bothering me.”
“Like, what?” Cassy rests her head on her hand, staring deep into Scottie’s face.
“Like, the other night. When we, you know, basically had sex. You don’t think I’m looking for a super serious relationship right now, do you? Because I’m definitely not. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed it. And I’d like to enjoy it again. But I also don’t want any weird mixed messages or unclear intentions between us.”
“Don’t get me wrong, Scottie. I’d be down for a relationship with you. I’ve had a massive crush on you for months now. I really, really like you. But I don’t want to make you uncomfortable either. I had fun the other night, too.” Cassy looks away, stares at something at the other end of the room. “It kind of upset me when you left without saying goodbye, though. I thought you were mad at me or something. Or avoiding me.”
Scottie grabs Cassy’s hand, pulling her friend closer to her embrace. “Oh, good grief, no! I wasn’t mad at you! I could never be mad at you. Don’t get me wrong, I felt a little weird the next morning after I woke up. I mean, it’s not every day you end up having sex with your best friend since preschool. But, I wasn’t mad. I just needed to think things over for a while.”
“Well, you could have told me that or sent me a text. Something,” Cassy replied. “I was almost afraid to talk to you or ask you for a long time.”
“Sorry, Cass. I definitely didn’t wanna come off that way.” Scottie leaves a peck on Cassy’s cheek and smiles at her. Donnie was right. She should have just talked to her about it all along. She really should have just stayed until Cassy woke up to talk to her about it over morning coffee.
“Is there anything else you wanted to talk to me about? I’ve got to say, I feel much better now that you told me about all of that.”
Scottie stays silent for a moment. Cassy just said that best friends don’t keep secrets. But how does she explain to her that she’s fucking her own stepdad? And what if that turns her best friend off to her? She hoped that she could keep Donnie a dirty little secret. But with Cassy and the escalation of her relationship with her, that w
on’t be possible. “Yea. There kind of is something else.” Scottie meets Cassie’s sky blue eyes. “I don’t know what you’re going to think about me after this.”
“Oh. My. God. Scottie. What did you do?” Cassy’s eyes got bigger and bluer as she spoke.
“Um, I don’t know how to say this. But, I’m kind of fucking my stepdad.”
“What the fuck, Scottie?”
“Jesus, that’s like, the first time I’ve ever heard you drop an f-bomb, Cassy.”
“Well, that’s because this is fucking huge! When did you start doing that? Is that why your mom and Donnie are divorcing? Not that I can blame you or anything.” She pauses for a moment, eyes searching around the room for something unknown to Scottie. “Donnie’s kind of a hunk. I’ve always thought he was cute myself.”
“No!” Scottie replies, bursting out laughing. “Fuck, no. I am definitely not the reason behind their divorce. Geez, no offense, Cass. But, jumping to those conclusions will make you fall and break your neck.” Scottie’s laughter rolls out, playful but humorous. She has to stop talking for a moment to regain her breath. “No. Mom doesn’t need any help from me to have a reason to divorce a guy.”
“Well, I figured that. I just… I didn’t know what could have happened with that. It seemed so sudden.”
“Yea, I know.” Scottie sighs, squeezing Cassy’s soft hand as she does. “No, this whole affair is recent. But I guess you technically could call it cheating. Since nothing’s finalized. That’s not what caused it. We just found ourselves alone in the house together when you dropped me off the other day. And… well, one thing leads to another.”
“You have to give me details. Is he as good in bed as he looks?” Cassy asks, eyes still wide with interest.
“Oh, God. Cass, he’s better.”
“Wait. Is that what you were talking about when we discussed older men?”
“Yup.” Scottie pops her lips out to make a smacking sound.
“So. You basically have a sugar daddy.” Cassy smiles and laughs. “That’s pretty cool.”
“Oh, God. It’s not like I can’t work for a living. Really, I just think he’s hot. But, don’t get me wrong, if he wants to help us out with a few bills here and there, he’s welcome to do so.” Scottie stretches out, placing her feet on the scratched, forgotten coffee table before them. “We’ll probably need it.”
“So, you still want us to move in together? I was afraid you wouldn’t.” Cassy’s voice is soft and concerning, stirring Scottie’s heart.
“Of course I still want to move in with you.” Scottie holds Cassy’s face in her hands, losing herself in her friend’s deep, blue eyes. “It’ll be super convenient for both of us. Girl-sex whenever we want. Horror movies and excessive amounts of pizza. Besides, I trust you. We’ve already lived together. I’d rather keep at least one familiar thing in my life.”
Cassy blushes, pink color flowering at the apples of her cheeks. “Do you think that, you know, later, there might be a potential for us to date?”
“I don’t think it’s entirely impossible. I’ll leave it at that. I just don’t want to ruin a friendship over a relationship.”
“Bros before hoes, right?” Cassy giggles, her blush softening up.
“Right!” Scottie leans in closer to her friend and kisses her deeply.
Chapter Five
Cassy’s hand slides up Scottie’s thigh, right along the insides toward her crotch. Cassy’s gotten a little bolder, a little more comfortable since her first time. The warmth of her friend’s hand against the fabric of her panties makes Scottie’s insides start to melt. She’s wearing cotton panties, and wonders whether or not a soaked spot will form from her friend’s magical touch.
Scottie slides her tongue in between Cassy’s lips, covered in cherry lip gloss. Cassy sucks intently at her tongue, as though she also enjoys the flavor of her best friend’s body. Scottie catches Cassie’s tongue lightly between her teeth. Maybe it’s her turn to suck on her friend’s candy tongue.
Cassy’s body tenses up, and she moves closer to Scottie, throwing one leg over her to straddle her waist. “That’s right. Come on, baby,” Scottie whispers hotly into Cassy’s pale neck. “That’s right.” Scottie pulls Cassy’s pink t-shirt up, revealing two, perfectly round breasts ready to spill over the cups of a lime green bra. Scottie pulls down one of the cups to access the hardened nipple beneath. She sucks on it delicately. Not too much pressure or pull. But she does allow her teeth to lightly graze it. She slowly circles the darkened area surrounding the nipple, squeezing at Cassy’s sides.
“You want me to touch you?” Cassy asks quietly.
“Of course I want you to touch me,” Scottie purrs.
“Am I any good at this?”
“Of course! I wouldn’t keep doing this with you otherwise.” Scottie giggles as Cassy pulls her fingers out from the crotch of her shorts. She carefully unbuttons and unzips Scottie’s black shorts as she gently leaves butterfly kisses along the sensitive skin of her neck. Cassy slips her hand into Scottie’s cotton panties. Scottie slumps forward a bit, grasping Cassy’s thighs. She spreads her legs, readjusting her sitting position to provide Cassy with better access to her hungry slit.
Cassy’s finger slides across Scottie’s folds like butter. “Looks like I’ve already gotten you pretty wet. I didn’t even have to try,” she says cheerily. Scottie may well be in love with this girl, her initial shyness and lack of confidence, her bubbliness. She pulls her friend’s head closer to hers so she can kiss her deeply while she gets fingered. Nothing better than a tongue in your mouth while a finger plays with your pussy.
Cassy doesn’t move her finger at all to start with. She holds it in one place, putting down more pressure gradually as their kissing intensifies. But Scottie wants her movement. She wants to feel her finger move and glide across her clit, as she can feel herself opening up sexually to her friend. Her folds are already sensitive from the heated rush, begging for Cassy to move her finger more quickly. So, Scottie guides her, easily drawing her finger from side to side across her labia. She spreads her legs even further. “Want me to go down on you?” Cassy asks softly.
“Fuck, yes. Please.” Honestly, Scottie could get the hang of this. As Cassy starts to lower her head and pull Scottie’s shorts off, a fumbling sound comes from the entrance of the room.
“Oh, shit,” Cassy hisses, pulling Scottie’s shirt back down over her breasts. “What do we do?”
“Quick! Follow me,” Scottie whispers, pulling her friend by the wrist into a discreet corner of the room, behind a speaker. They duck down behind the hulking piece of equipment. Scottie holds a finger up to her lips. “Shhhh. We’ll hide. Then, we’ll get the fuck out of here.”
Cassy nods. Voices come in from the entrance; hearty, male voices. Talking about the performance, the crowd, the sound. Must be one of the bands on the roster for the night. Scottie wonders which one it is, and how they could have possibly hidden out for an entire set. At least, they haven’t missed the Tiger Mamas – the main reason they wanted to stick around for the night. But she and Cassy still have unfinished business later on. As they listen to the clutter and clang of the band members bringing their instruments back inside, Scottie plans their escape route back into the venue.
And thinks on their time alone together later on in the night.

Chapter One
The first race of the roller derby season is tomorrow, and Scottie just can’t seem to fall asleep. Is it nervousness? She isn’t sure, but her body and mind both want to move. She gets off of her mattress and begins pacing around her room. Should she go for a late night skate? Probably not a good idea, considering she doesn’t want to wear herself out before the race.
She can’t stop thinking about her wet dream from the other morning either. The images, the sensations, they just keep flashing around in her mind. Just when she thinks she’s moved passed the idea, another scene from it plays out in her head. It’s just as real as a memory, as though she’s already done it. But she hasn’t.
How can she make her dream come true? Because this dream – it has a mind of its own. And it definitely wants to come to life. But Scottie doesn’t know how either Donnie or Cassy will feel about a threesome. Donnie already seems a little wary of his relationship with her. And Cassy, even though she’s good in bed – and getting better, probably wouldn’t be that comfortable with the idea of one.
“What the fuck do I do?” Scottie asks herself aloud. Is there some way she could make it happen? There has to be. Hell, Donnie himself said that Cassy’s a catch. And Cassy even stated that Donnie’s basically a hunk in her eyes. There has to be some way she can arrange a sumptuous, delectable night for the three of them.
Scottie stands and stares out the window for a moment, thinking it over. The race tomorrow – the first race of the season. That’s a damn good excuse to party it up. She could have Cassy over for the night. Donnie wouldn’t mind. He already thinks Scottie’s more capable than her mother ever did. Plus, he knows Cassy’s a good girl – not the type to cause trouble.
