Man of the House: An Older Man Younger Woman Romance Page 37

by Sarah Rowling

She wondered if she should listen to Tanya and tell him she was in love with him.

What do I have to lose? She asked herself, knowing that what they had together was fickle either way.

But as she looked at her hands, she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She knew he wouldn’t say it back to her. He couldn’t. Everything would become even more complicated.

She glanced at the clock on the stereo display. They had been parked for over an hour. Becca wondered if Tracey was home and if she would know something had been going on.

Becca almost hoped that she was and that she would be suspicious. The sooner their marriage ended, the sooner it would be realistic for her and Trevor’s relationship to develop.

The traffic was worse than usual and they sat on the street, crammed in with a few dozen other cars. She glanced around at the faces that surrounded them, sighing. She had to say something to him. She needed more from him than his cock.

“What am I to you, Trevor?” It left her mouth before she could think about it.

He looked at her sadly and turned his gaze back to the road. He opened his mouth to speak but shut it when no words came out.

“I’m married…” came out a minute later, slowly and quietly.

“Don’t give me that bullshit. You don’t seem to care when your dick is out of your pants,” she said, with a little more spite than she had intended.

He glanced at her with wide eyes, turning back to the road to lower his head.

“What do you want me to do, Becca?” The car came to a stop and he looked at her, frowning.

“I thought this was a physical interaction. Didn’t you tell me I was doing you a favor?” He continued, keeping his voice even.

She turned away from him, looking out the window. He was right, she had said that. At first.

“We both know that it has become more than that,” she said to him without looking at him.

She was more like Tracey than he thought. She was sweet and kind but he had never seen her so assertive before. Though they were different, both women knew what they wanted.

  And they both wanted Trevor.

He turned to her again, nodding in agreement with what she had said, rather than argue with her.

They sat in silence for a few minutes. Trevor pulled into their driveway, parking the car and turning to her. Tracey’s vehicle wasn’t there but he knew she could be home at any minute. Even Becca had noticed that she had been coming home earlier and earlier.

Neither of them made any move to get out of the car. Becca took a deep breath, trying to work up the courage to tell him that she wanted to be with him. She wanted him to leave her mother so that they could be a real couple.

But she didn’t. Instead, Trevor spoke.

“Becca,” he reached over and grabbed her hand, “I thought that I was in love with Tracey. She made me feel something I hadn’t felt before, not with anyone, and I thought that was as good as it got.”

He paused, closing his eyes before opening them to look at her.

“Then I met you, but I can’t…” he stopped, searching for words.

He opened his mouth to speak again and Becca squeezed his hand, tears welling as she waited desperately for him to finish.

Tracey’s car pulled up beside them before he could get the words out and Trevor dropped Becca’s hand. Their eyes broke away and Trevor’s hand then balled into a fist, hitting the steering wheel before he stepped out of the car. He called out to his wife.

“Hi, honey. How was your day?”

  Chapter One

Becca, Trevor, and Tracey stood in the driveway together. Tracey was smiling broadly with her arms around Trevor, greeting him very warmly. Trevor was looking at Becca.

This time, although she still cringed inwardly at the sight of them together, it didn’t bother Becca as much. She knew that Trevor would be hers again before too long. She knew that he was in love with her.

Tracey greeted her daughter, asking her how the gallery was.

“Did you thank Trevor for the ride?” Tracey asked her with a smile.

Becca couldn’t help but give Trevor a coy smile, telling her mother that she certainly did. Tracey looked back at Trevor, raising her eyebrows a little, but mostly ignoring their exchange.

Tracey’s cellphone rang and she answered it, running up the stairs to her bedroom. Becca went over to Trevor and put her arms around his neck, kissing him hard. He kissed her back but pushed her away after a moment.

“If you’re in love with me, just say it,” Becca whispered, trying not to sound desperate, even though she felt it.

He took a step back from her, glancing up the stairs.

“It’s not that simple, Becca.” He started to pace, running a hand through his hair.

She grabbed his hands, bringing them close to her.

“Why not?” she asked him, knowing exactly why it wasn’t simple.

She dropped his hands as she heard Tracey make her way toward the stairs. Becca went into the kitchen, moving away from Trevor. She knew very well why they couldn’t just be together. Tracey would be devastated and Becca knew that she was spending more time with Trevor than any other husband. This time, it was Becca ruining her marriage.

She knew that she couldn’t stop sleeping with Trevor but if Tracey found out, she would be incredibly hurt.

Tracey asked Becca if she would like to come to dinner with them and she quickly thought of an excuse not to. She couldn’t sit and talk with them both, it was too weird. Tracey was a little taken aback by her daughter’s refusal and insisted but Becca said that Tanya was picking her up.

“I didn’t know you’d be home so early today, Mom. Sorry.” Becca tried to sound genuine, knowing that Tanya was seeing that guy for a second date. She would figure something out.

Tracey gave up trying and said she was going for a shower. She gave Trevor a peck on the cheek before heading up the stairs and they smiled at each other. Trevor’s grin faded as Tracey disappeared and he looked to Becca.

She shrugged at him, shaking her head a little as if to ask him what they should do. He sighed heavily and went over to her, wrapping his arms around her. He leaned down, kissing her gently and slowly.

His mouth broke away from hers and his lips went to her ear.

“I love you, Becca, I do.” he said to her.

Her heart swelled and her knees went weak. She inhaled sharply as she heard his words as if she was drinking them in, feeling a new kind of satisfaction.

She sunk into him, letting what he said ripple through her body. She looked up at him. The look in his brown eyes shattered the joy that had just bloomed in her.

“But,” Trevor started to say in a low voice and Becca pulled away from him.

“I made a commitment, Becca. What am I supposed to do?”

She stared at him, narrowing her eyes. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

“So, we’ll just fuck behind her back until I go back to school?” Becca tried to keep her voice a whisper but knew she was louder than intended.

Trevor’s eyes were sad but he had a sense of duty. He felt a loyalty to the woman he married, regardless of how unfaithful he’d been. Becca thought he was being ridiculous.

He shook his head at her, trying to think of what to say.

“It’s too late, Trevor. You can
’t just stay married to her,” Becca kept calm, trying to get him to see his marriage was clearly already ruined.

He sat down at the kitchen table, putting his head in his hands. She went over to him and put a hand on his back.

“Do you really want to be married to my mother?” she asked him softly, her voice trembling a little. She needed to know his answer.

  Trevor looked up at her.

“You’re twenty. I don’t think you know…” He paused, searching her face. “You’ve never known love and sex before, it’s so easy to confuse…”

“I’m in love with you, Trevor,” she interrupted him. “Don’t you think that there was a reason I slept with you, after waiting for so many years?”

He stood, staring into her eyes. He grabbed her arms and brought him close to her, pressing his mouth on hers. His tongue swirled in her mouth and she could feel his cock start to stiffen as her tits pressed against him.

She ran her hand down his chest and stomach, hovering it over his crotch. She pressed her hand onto his hard cock as she kissed him roughly, with a need.

He put his hands under her ass, picking her up and setting her on the table. She spread her legs and his stiff dick pushed against her pussy. They both knew they didn’t have time before Tracey came back downstairs.

  Chapter Two

Trevor backed away from her, clearing his throat and adjusting the waist of his pants. Becca hopped off the table, putting her hands on his arms.

“There’s something different between us,” she whispered to him. “I know you know it.”

She gazed up at him, her eyes begging him for a response. He nodded slowly, lowering his forehead onto hers.

They could hear Tracey stepping out of the shower upstairs and gave each other a quick kiss before breaking apart. Their eyes lingered on each other and as she stared at him, with a little smile on her face, he knew his marriage was doomed.

“I don’t want to hurt your mother, Becca,” Trevor said quietly to her, searching her face for the answer he needed.

Becca bit her lip and shook her head a little, “I know,” she paused, thinking for a second, “I guess we…”

She stopped talking as Tracey started down the stairs, calling out to Trevor.

“Ready to go? I thought about going to this new place down town…” Tracey paused at the bottom of the stairs, looking from her husband to her daughter.

“What’s going on?” she asked, glancing at them.

Trevor smiled, shaking his head, “Nothing, we were just talking.”

He put his arm around Tracey and glanced back at Becca.

Tracey turned to her as well. “Are you sure you don’t want to come with us? I feel like I haven’t spent a minute with you since you got back.”

Because you haven’t, but what else is new? she thought to herself spitefully, regretting her animosity immediately afterwards.

“I’d really like to do some painting, I think, but I’m glad you asked me,” Becca replied, heading toward the stairwell.

“What happened to Tanya?” Tracey asked with a frown.

“Oh, yeah. She’s on a date tonight. I might catch up with her later.”

Tracey nodded slowly, still frowning. Her mother was sharp and Becca had been worried the last several days that she would notice the tension between her daughter and Trevor, but she hadn't.

Becca wondered if it was because Tracey was still too involved in her work, or if she was just so clouded with the excitement of a new marriage. Although her mother had been putting more effort into her relationship with Trevor than with her other lovers, Becca hoped her work was still more important.

She wondered if she and Trevor could wait until her mother cooled on her new husband and returned to working eighty-hour weeks. Could they wait a year? Could they sneak around for much longer without getting caught?

But Becca didn’t want to sneak around, she just wanted to be with him, and have him to herself.

She still had a little more than a month to get through before she went back to school. Where would she stay if Tracey found out? Becca had no idea how her mother would even react.

Eventually, they would have to come clean and tell Tracey the truth. They couldn’t keep it a secret forever.

Trevor and Tracey were in the entrance, getting ready to leave. She asked Trevor to go start the car before coming back into the kitchen to talk to Becca.

Becca’s eyes went wide, worried about what her mother might say. The relationship between them was unfamiliar. They had only spent summers together since Becca was thirteen. Whenever she was back with her mother, she felt like a child.

“Are you alright, Rebecca?” Tracey asked in a serious tone.

Becca started when she heard her mother use her full name. She instantly thought about her teachers at the academy and how rigid they had been, refusing to use her much more familiar nickname.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Becca replied, giving her mother a smile.

“Are you sure? I know you better than you think I do,” Tracey said, narrowing her eyes as she studied her daughter’s face.

“Yeah. You know, just getting used to being back home,” she said, trying to sound casual but her mother took it more seriously than Becca had wanted.

“I know it’s hard with a new stepdad and everything. I know he’s not the first but,” Tracey took a deep breath, exhaling heavily. “I want him to be the last. I’m ready for stability. You like him, don’t you?”

Becca’s mouth gaped open as she struggled to reply.

“Yeah. Yeah, I like him a lot,” She gave a tight smile and went to the stairs. “Have a good time at dinner,” she continued, hoping her mom was done.

Tracey nodded, making her way to the entrance, grinning at her daughter. She slipped on her shoes and straightened up, putting her hand on the doorknob.

“He’s gorgeous though, isn’t he?” Tracey asked Becca, beaming at her.

  Becca sighed and nodded, “Definitely.”

Tracey opened the door and stepped out, shutting it gently behind her. Becca put her face in her hands and leaned against the wall next to the stairwell. She moaned a little in agony at the situation, stalking slowly up the stairs.

This is definitely getting messy, she thought to herself, lowering her chin.

  Chapter Three

Becca took her clothes off, letting them slide to the floor as she thought about her mother and her stepdad together at dinner. She couldn’t know about their relationship. Not yet, anyway. It would be too hard for her right now.

She went into the bathroom adjacent to her bedroom, glancing through the open door at the bed Trevor and Tracey shared. She wondered how much sex they’d been having since she started sleeping with Trevor.

She shook her head to clear it, turning on the hot water of the shower. She looked at her naked body in the mirror. Her skin was smooth and tight, her boobs were perky and firm. She looked at her face, her cheekbones, dimples and full lips, then into her deep blue eyes.

She had been approached by handsome young men, men her own age, the few times she had gone out with Tanya or other friends from art school. None of them had made her feel the way she felt when her eyes met Trevor’s for the first time.

She had always been interested in sex and giving herself pleasure, but she had never cared about any of the few boys she had had any experience with. Trevor was so different. She hadn’t fallen for him because she had slept with him, just the opposite. She gave him her virginity because she was in love with him.

Becca stepped under the water, letting it run over her. The sensation of the hot water on her skin was delicious. She ran her hands over herself, wondering when she would feel Trevor’s hard cock inside her again.

She slipped her hand between her thighs. She was still wet from their interaction hours earlier in his car. Her finger started to circle around her clit, thinking about Trevor. She remembered how amazing his tongue felt on her pussy, lapping back and forth.

/>   Her fingers moved faster around her pussy, her mind focused on Trevor. She didn’t want to feel anyone else inside her besides him.

She slid her finger toward her wet slit, massaging the slippery opening. As her finger slipped into her pussy, she imagined the full satisfaction that the friction of his cock inside her gave her.

Her finger went in deeper as the water rained down on her back, sending a tingle down to her feet. She couldn’t wait to have him at her dorm room, her own space where he could really be her boyfriend.

The college was close enough that, despite a couple hours of driving, he could visit her if he stayed with Tracey.

She took her fingers away from her pussy, unable to concentrate. She ran them through her hair, sighing underneath the stream of hot water. The more she thought about it, the less she wanted to tell her mother.

But it had to be done. No matter what, things were going to become even more complicated. She hadn’t expected love to be so confusing.

She took a breath, shutting off the water. She stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel to dry off. She wrapped it under her shoulders, making her way to her bedroom.

A couple hours later, she held a brush in her hand and traced it across the half-painted canvas in front of her. The front door slammed shut and her brush jolted to the left, leaving an unintended streak on the image in front of her.

Becca’s eyes went wide and she hopped up from the seat in front of her easel. Tracey was screaming and she heard her name mixed in.

Becca grabbed her cell phone and called Tanya immediately. She wasn’t answering. Becca’s heart pounded as she heard her mother’s voice get closer to the staircase.

  Tracey knew, but how?

Oh, my God, Becca thought repeatedly. Nothing useful came to mind as she panicked, wondering what to do.

She threw some clothes in a bag, hoping she could stay with her friend until Tracey cooled off. If she did cool off.
