Here we go again and it feels great to be in the number. I’d like to first and foremost Thank my Heavenly Father for blessing me with such an amazing gift; the gift of writing. Somehow things just work for me when I’m in my zone. It gives me joy and puts a smile on my face to be able to entertain my readers to the best of my ability. I can’t thank him enough. He’s done and continues to do so much in my life and I’m grateful for his favor and his abundance in blessings. He is truly my God and I love him tremendously.
To my Son, Devin, who continually inspires me to set goals for myself and achieve those goals. This teaches him that anything is possible through Christ, prayer, and determination. He hasn’t read any of my books, of course, but he sees them on the bestseller’s charts and he’s proud of me. That’s all I need. Also to Carmen, my youngan from another mother; she knows just how to make her me-ma smile.
I’d like to say thank you to my mom, Janice, for being here for me and coming through when I needed you the most. Love You! And of course I have to give a special shout out to my other mother, Mittie Lambert, just because I love her so much.
To My Mentor, Cole Hart, he’s become a very close friend and ally of mine. I enjoy our talks, his encouraging words, and most importantly the fact that he took a chance and believed in me. He’s truly an inspiration himself. I’ve learned a lot just by having him in my corner and I appreciate that to the fullest. I’m super excited about our next project that we’re working on together.
Torica Tymes I must say that anything I ask you for you definitely make sure you get on it right away and I appreciate that. I’m still sporting the First Lady title very well and have certainly earned my stripes.
I’d also like to thank David Weaver for having a vision and giving Authors such as myself a chance to link up through his authors while continuing the growth of our TBRS Family. Much Love…
And to Tina Nance, my Fabulous Editor, you’ve done it again! I appreciate you for coming through for us each time. It means the world to me because you’re one of the best there is.
I’d like to thank my closest of Family and Friends who keep a smile on my face and constantly make their presence known. Right quick, that would be my Sisters Deldra, Qwan, Boosie and Sharlette and my brothers Spee, Dooley, Tony and Jermaine. Love y’all and Thanks for being here.
To Jennifer (Moochie) my ride or die chick, sister or my sidekick whichever she’d prefer. Lol We’ll continue to ride this thing out until we can’t ride no more. I Love you and Madison like a fat kid loves cookies.
To my Aunt Sara, I really didn’t realize how much I missed our chats and laughs until the other day. I had so much fun with you just us laughing and talking. Love You babez!
I definitely have to give a shout out to my graphic designer Mario Patterson who continually supports me and puts in that “werk.” He’s a rider for sure.
To my TBRS FAM I thank each of you for riding with me on this journey and being so welcoming and sweet to me. It truly warms my heart.
Thanks to my Kiss~n~Tell Family who keeps the spark and laughs going when I really need them. This is a bunch of crazy, but lovable people that I adore.
To all of my supporters, fans, and or readers, without you enjoying my work and recognizing a good read when you see one, I wouldn’t be so content to keep writing. However, I do this not only because I love it, but because I want you to get the best experience possible from reading my books; whatever that may be.
To anyone that I may have left off please charge it to the head and know that I still love you. Xoxoxoxox’s

Chapter 1
Scarlett looked over at Jay as he sat on the edge of her desk. He stared at her with a smile on his face, twiddling her loud pink highlighter pen in his hand. She smiled back at him as the butterflies danced around in her stomach. It was hard to deny the fact that she still had a thing for him, even though she had clearly moved on.
Jay cleared his throat, not wanting to miss out on an opportunity to make his move since everyone had already left the office for the day. “So, how are things going with you and your boyfriend?” he questioned.
“I keep telling you that he’s not my boyfriend yet. We’re just kicking it, and hopefully we’ll see where things will lead us as time goes by.”
“As times goes by?” Jay sarcastically questioned. “How much time has it been already? Seems like a long time if you ask me.”
“Well it hasn’t been that long, Jay, and no one is asking you anything,” she snappily stated. “For the record, we’ve only been seeing each other going on two months now. I’m not going to rush things like you’ve did with my so called best friend, Sheila. I’d rather wait this one out before we go putting titles on our commitment to one another.”
Jay chuckled as if Scarlett’s explanation amused him. “I bet it didn’t take long for you to fuck him.”
“Now what’s that supposed to mean?” she quickly asked, reaching over and hitting him on the arm.
“I’m just saying, Scarlett. If this man has already had sex with you, then he should want to commit to you. Why hasn’t that happened yet?”
Confusion quickly took over as Scarlett looked at Jay and shook her head. “As I can recall, Jay, you and I fucked around on the low for a year or better and you never wanted to settle down with me. You didn’t mind gettin’ the pussy for that long, only to leave me hanging for Sheila.” She said as she gathered the folders in her hand and stood up to put them in the file cabinet.
Jay smiled at her, admiring her smooth brown skin, shapely curves, and round fat ass. She rocked the hell out of a high waist, white Anne Taylor skirt with a red button down blouse tucked inside. She turned just in time to see him staring at her assets.
“Don’t be looking at me like that.” She said as if she meant it, but the way she shyly smiled suggested she didn’t. “The only reason why I’m still cool with her about that shit is because I never told her about us, but you knew that she was my girl, and that didn’t stop you.”
“Stop acting like that,” Jay spoke. “I know I fuck with Sheila now, but you knew what the deal was with that.”
“That’s a damn lie. All I knew was that one minute we’re fucking on the low, and the next you’re fucking her, and now y’all are about to be shacking with each other as soon as she finds a place.” She attempted to pass him so she could shut her system down and lock up the office.
“Come here,” he said pulling her towards him. “Just stop for a moment.” His sexy lips enticed her as he spoke, making her want to taste him, but she held her composure.
“Look, we’re not supposed to be doing this.” she said as they stood face to face. She hadn’t been that up close and personal with Jay since she broke it off with him. “Even though Sheila and I have had our differences I don’t want to sleep with her man.”
“Anymore,” Jay cut in.
“Anymore, not now, not ever again,” she co
nfirmed, trying to back away from his grip and the alluring smell of his Chanel cologne. “I’ve moved on with Luke, and I’ma leave it like that.”
“So you mean to tell me that I can’t get no more of this good pussy?” He asked, pulling her back to him, and even closer this time. He gently kissed her on the side of her neck.
“Jay, don’t do this.” She was trying hard to fight the temptation of wanting him so bad.
“Don’t do what?” He asked while sliding his hand up her skirt.
“Jay, stop,” Scarlett said, taking in a deep breath. Her mouth was saying no but her body was screaming YES. A desire of missing him like crazy took over as he slipped his fingers up her skirt and inside her thong. Her body quivered from his touch and all she wanted was more. There were no more thoughts about Sheila or Luke. It was just the two of them and she was going to take advantage of it.
Jay picked her up and walked her over to the sofa where he gently laid her down. Immediately he pulled her skirt up around her waist and moved her thong to the side as he kissed her plump smooth pussy. The touch of his warm breath against her skin caused her to squirm inside as she held his head tightly so that he wouldn’t dare try to come up for air. The intense moment didn’t take long before it came to a screeching halt as her body nearly erupted with an orgasm.
“Jay,” she seductively whispered, then abruptly opened her eyes, focusing on the ceiling as she lay on her back. She slowly glanced over to the right of her, almost instantly remembering that she was home.
Damn,” she thought to herself, quickly realizing that it was just a dream. She hadn’t spoken to Jay with just a decent conversation since she had called it quits. A part of her found it easier to hate the fact that he was seeing Sheila, so she could let go of her feelings for him. She could feel her pussy throbbing from the aftermath of the dream as she slowly turned her head to face Luke, who was still in a deep sleep beside her. She knew without a doubt that she had spoken Jay’s name, because the sweet taste of the sound was still on her lips.
Damn, she thought again at the idea of speaking aloud during her dream. It was almost scary because Luke was facing her, but he hadn’t flinched or moved, so that was a good thing. She hadn’t mentioned Jay to him, and therefore wasn’t planning on letting him know anything about the steamy past they shared.
Looking over at Luke’s handsome face made her feel guilty for even having such indecent dreams about a man who hurt her. She had vowed to never fuck with Jay again as long as he was with Sheila. But after getting with Luke, Jay didn’t stand a chance to ever fuck with her again; Sheila or no Sheila. Dating Luke over a period of time had given her a different respect for herself. Not only had her transformation given her a reason to seek things that she thought was unattainable, but it also added valuable people in the mix.
Scarlett smiled as Luke’s eyes gently rolled under his eyelids back and forth, meaning that he would be awake soon. He moved a bit and opened his eyes. The light brown reflection stared at her beautiful face. Her bright smile caused him to smile back as they intimately gazed at each other. The room was still as they lay there almost able to hear the other’s heartbeat. Luke was definitely feeling lost in love with Scarlett’s attitude on life, her bubbly personality, and her sexy body. She batted her big pretty brown eyes at him as he reached over and rubbed in her fine black hair.
“Can you believe that our two month anniversary has snuck up on us and we’re still together?” he asked.
“Actually, I can’t.” She responded while thinking about all the things that could’ve come out about her since then.
Luke smiled at her. “It seems like I’ve known your sexy ass all my life.”
She blushed. “That’s the same way I feel.” In just that little time, Luke had definitely made a lasting imprint on her heart.
“Are you ready for this weekend?” he asked.
“I’m more than ready. I’ve never been to the mountains before, so you know I’m anticipating this getaway.”
He smiled. “I’m just anticipating a long weekend alone with you. I wanna show you so many things and take you places. You deserve a man in your life that’s gonna be good to you.” She was touched because Luke always knew what to say to make her feel like a deserving woman.
She sighed, moving her long bangs out of her face. “I know we leave in the morning, but the morning can’t get here fast enough. I need this getaway more than you know.”
“I know,” he commented, thinking about how tense she’d been lately. “Are you sure that everything is good with you?”
“Yes, everything is good with me. You ask me that question every other day and I keep telling you the same thing. I’m good, baby.” She said, leaning in and kissing his soft lips. “I’m good.”
“Okay,” he responded not wanting to push the envelope. “I won’t pressure you.”
“You make me think you know something that you’re not telling.” She remarked, trying to make sure that he really didn’t know anything.
He shook his head. “I only know what you tell me. Other than that, I don’t know anything sweetheart.”
She smiled, hoping to end the subject as quickly as it started. “Baby, I know I’ve been a little weird lately, but it’s nothing for you to worry about. I’m good, I promise I’m good.” She kissed him then got out of the bed. “Now, you know I have a busy day today, and I need to finish packing.”
“Yeah, you’re right,” he said getting out of the bed and putting his jeans on. “I have to get the oil changed on my mama’s car this morning and pack a few things myself.” He walked over and hugged her around the waist. “Look Red, I’m crazy about you. I love everything about you. I just want you to know that I’m here for you if you ever want to talk about anything. There is nothing or no one that can come between us.”
“I know babe.” She smiled, but inside she knew that if he found out that she was fucking with a married man and was hiding some really dark secrets from her past, he would feel differently.
Luke smacked her fat ass. “Are you sure that someone is going to be able to take you to get the rental car later this evening?”
“I’m sure,” she confirmed.
“Cool,” he said. “Handle your business and I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Yeah, but you better call me later.” She insisted then kissed him again.
Luke put on his shirt and shoes and exited the house while Scarlett contemplated what she was going to do to stop her past from ruining her life. She picked up the phone to call the realest best friend in the world.
She hummed along, as she listened to the caller tune, Baddest Bitch by Trina.
“Hey Red,” Nina answered.
“You home?” Scarlett asked.
“Yeah.”
“I’m ’bout to walk down there in a few. We need to talk.”
“Come on, I’ll be here.” Nina responded then ended their call.
Chapter 2
Nina sat on her back porch smoking a Newport as Scarlett stepped out of the back patio doors to join her.
“What are you out here doing?” Scarlett asked, sitting down in one of the chairs next to her best friend.
“Shit,” Nina responded while inhaling the nicotine smoke then blowing it right back out. “What’s on your mind early this morning?”
Scarlett shook her head as if she was lost. “This shit is driving me crazy.”
“What shit, Red?” Nina questioned. “Don’t tell me that you’re still thinking about what Faye said.”
“How could I not?” Scarlett asked. “I’m tired of walking on eggshells around Luke, and feeling scared as hell every time his phone rings or he mentions that he’s spoken to his bitch ass ex-girlfriend, April.”
Nina puffed on her cigarette again. “That shit been ’bout two months ago since that girl called my phone threatening to out you. If she ain’t said shit by now, then she ain’t going to.”
“Yeah, but that’s easy for you to say. The bitch ain
’t threatening to expose you fucking two niggas at the same time.” She responded, feeling embarrassed and somewhat defeated.
“Listen at yourself, Red.” Nina said trying to calm her down. “When Faye called me, she said that she had a video showing you with Suave and Sean, right?”
“That’s what you said,” she sarcastically answered.
“And I’m also saying that if this bitch had a video she would’ve exposed you by now. It’s been weeks later. Why would she wait?” She asked as Scarlett sat quietly, thinking about the answer to that question. “Quit letting this shit bother you.”
“I wish I could, Nina, but it’s hard to just drop it. I don’t know.” She disappointedly shook her head. “She could have a video of it and is just waiting to drop the bomb on me at any given time.” Scarlett said, reaching for a Newport.
“I thought you quit smoking some time ago?”
“I did, but I need one right now.” She said as Nina shook one out of her pack and gave it to her.
“Yeah, smoke something and calm your damn nerves.” She lit the cigarette for Scarlett as she held the cancer stick in her mouth. “Look, I don’t see why the bitch wanna out you anyway. Hell, she joined in too didn’t she?”
“Hell yeah,” Scarlett stated, thinking about the hot steamy sex session they had.
“And see that’s the shit that pisses me off. If this bitch comes out with a video, and causes trouble for you and Luke, then we’ll beat that bitch ass so bad that she’ll wish she would’ve burned that shit up.”
Scarlett shook her head because she really didn’t care about fighting Faye at this point. All she wanted to do was save her relationship with Luke.
She puffed on the cigarette. “I just don’t know what to do, because I don’t know what this bitch could be up to. The fact is that she knows about my past almost as much as you do, and that shit bothers the fuck outta me. I don’t understand why the bitch wants to knock me down when she was just as messy as me back then.”
“Because she done forgot about her filthy ass past since her daddy ran into that money. What she don’t know is that even money can’t take away your past, and sho’ won’t stop the ugly bitch from gettn’ her ass beat.” Nina said as her second oldest child, Macy, opened up the back patio doors.
