“But you don’t want me to take it the wrong way,” she finished for him, something heavy in her chest. “Don’t worry, I won’t.” She loved Logan. She wasn’t suddenly going to do a transference thing just because she’d had sex with Drew.

“What I was going to say was that I like you, but sex can fuck up friendships. I don’t want you to stop talking to me or become embarrassed around me. I’d rather stop right now if it changes how comfortable we are with each other.”

She rolled her bottom lip between her teeth, then reiterated what she’d already said. “I’m fine.”

“You haven’t talked to me in three days. You’ve sucked me and fucked me, but you haven’t talked to me.”

The crudeness of his words both surprised and heated her, but his tone touched her, softened something inside. He gave her a few moments to think as he slid the chicken onto the grill.

“I liked it, Drew. A lot.” She’d always liked Drew, a lot. “It’s just kind of...weird at the moment.” She couldn’t tell him that she was afraid she’d liked the sex too much. God, even now, her cheeks heated as she remembered how he’d pulsed, almost as if she could feel his heart beating inside her. She’d told herself it was the sexually charged atmosphere, but he’d also taken her over, to the point that she didn’t mind the slap of her husband’s body as he fucked another woman beside her on the couch, so close she could smell his sex. Drew’s desire for her had taken her beyond jealousy or physical comparisons.

  “I know,” he said.

The chicken sizzled, and for a moment, she thought Drew meant that having sex with her had taken the sting out of Cat touching Logan. But of course, he was referring to the strangeness of it all. “We could make this a vacation thing,” he went on. “A fling.” He laughed, but it didn’t quite come off.

She wanted to put her hand on his arm, but any physical touching should happen only in front of Logan and Cat. Funny, before, she’d hugged Drew without thought, slapped at him playfully over the card table, joked. It hadn’t occurred to her not to touch him, because the touching didn’t have any hidden meanings.

“I’ve thought about that,” she agreed. “Once the vacation is over, so is ...” She fluttered a hand.

He flipped the chicken before the marinade could burn the skin. “I hear a but in there.”

“We’ve done it. We can’t go back. We can only go forward and see how it works out.” She was itching to touch him. Instead she lowered her voice to an intimate pitch. “But,” she emphasized, “I think I want kinkier things. To try stuff I’ve never done before.”

His jaw tensed; his pulse beat faster at his throat. She had the unconscionable urge to lick him, right there, where she could taste his heartbeat.

“What things?” he asked, his voice huskier.

“Two men worshipping my body. Two cocks, one inside me, one in my mouth.” She was parroting Cat from the hike this afternoon.

He grabbed the long neck he’d carried out with him, swigged. “I’m sure that could be arranged.”

She didn’t feel her feet move, but she was a step closer until she could smell the soap on his skin mingled with the spice of sesame teriyaki. “I want my clit licked while I’m being fucked.”

“Jesus, Alexis, don’t make me crazy right now. I’ll burn the chicken.” Drew’s cheeks flushed a ruddy red, his jaw slightly bristled with a day’s growth of beard.

And she felt powerful. She was always one down with Logan, always the one feeling needy. With Drew, she felt wanted, desired. Like it was in the beginning, when you first found yourself attracted to a man, when you first knew he wanted you just as much. It wasn’t love; it was lust.

But it was so very powerful.

  Chapter Nine

Jesus. Drew was under her spell. With those few whispered words, Alexis had hooked him. He didn’t care what Cat wanted—because Cat would make it happen for herself no matter what—he would make sure Alexis got her fantasy. Two men to worship her.

Tonight, they didn’t even have a pretense. “Whose bed?” he asked after the dinner dishes were done. “Yours or ours?”

  Logan choked back a laugh.

“Honey, aren’t you the hot one tonight,” Cat mocked.

He grabbed her, hauled her tight against him, kissed her hard, then held her head back by the hair. “Logan and I have been tasked with fulfilling all your fantasies. It’s Tuesday and we only have four nights left.”

He was hot, he was hard, he wanted it all now. He bent, lifted Cat in a fireman’s carry, took her upstairs, and dumped her on their bed. She squealed as he dragged her shorts off and tore her panties.

“He’s a wild man,” she screeched between giggles, and Drew knew they weren’t alone in the bedroom.

Five minutes later, he had his face buried in his wife’s sweet, wet pussy. Alexis stroked his cock as she sucked her husband’s. Then Drew switched, diving on Alexis, spreading her legs, and getting his first taste of her juice. Christ, she smelled like flowers and tasted like the sweetness of peaches.

Their movements were fluid, as if everything were perfectly choreographed. Logan alternated between kissing Alexis’s lips and sucking her nipples. Cat had her face in Logan’s lap. It was like they were all connected, all part of the same whole, no pun intended. He worshipped that gorgeous pussy the way Alexis had said she wanted. She moaned and writhed under the pleasure, her hips arching, falling. He found her G-spot, worked her inside and out until she flooded his mouth with her cream. God, she was wet, perfect as her body trembled with orgasm. Yeah, he felt a thrill that he could make her come hard and fast after Logan said it wasn’t easy.

Then Alexis cried out, “Fuck me, God, please, fuck me.” Damn if he didn’t forget everything else in that moment.

Jesus, where were the condoms? Cat dropped one in his hand, and one in Logan’s. “Eenie, meenie, mienie, mo,” she chanted. “You”—she pointed at Logan—“fuck her mouth.” She pushed him in the right direction. “And you”—she stroked Drew’s cock—“fuck her pussy.”

“What are you going to do?” Logan wanted to know.

She smiled. It was wholly Cat, completely wicked. “It’s a surprise.”

The sex was fast and hot. He was back on his haunches so he had a complete view. Her legs spread over his hips as he took her, Alexis came the moment he seated himself fully inside her, and she kept on coming, quivering, tears leaking from her eyes, moaning with her lips around Logan’s cock.

“Bend down here while she’s sucking you and lick her clit,” Drew ordered. She’d had the courage to ask for it earlier, and he would make sure she had it.

Logan spread his legs over her head and bent to her in a classic sixty-nine position. The only difference was that Drew was inside her, too. It made her damn near scream in ecstasy. Which was exactly what Drew wanted, what he needed.

Yet it was Cat who performed the piece de resistance. Crawling behind Logan at the head of the bed, she reached down, to stroke Logan’s balls. Then she covered her fingers and Logan’s ass in lube she drizzled from a bottle Drew hadn’t known she’d packed.

She took Logan in that elemental way, a way she’d never even had Drew.

Fuck. It was Drew’s undoing; the feel of Alexis around him, the quiver of her body, the scent of her in his head, her taste still on his lips, and Cat fucking Logan’s ass with her fingers. He lost it then, coming in long, blinding bursts.

Alexis ordered a champagne cocktail. She loved the fizz. They occupied a cozy corner table in an elegant San Francisco restaurant Logan had chosen. The menu was pricey and the food divine. They’d returned from Tahoe last weekend and this weekend, they’d invited Cat and Drew out as thank you for taking them on the trip. Not that they hadn’t shared the expenses, but they’d taken Drew’s car and Cat had made the arrangements.

“Here’s to the most interesting vacation we’ve ever had.” Logan toasted with a wealth of innuendo in his raised brow. They all clinked
glasses.

Seated across the table from Alexis, Cat winked. “And here’s to many more.” She wore a sexy black-sequined, spaghetti-strap dress that plunged in both front and back. Of course, that made her the center of male attention.

Yet Alexis didn’t feel dowdy in her camisole top and calf-length skirt. She considered herself equally classy even with a little less skin showing. She’d garnered a few glances, if she did say so herself. After the week they’d had together, she felt utterly sexy. They’d hiked every day, taken drives, but the evenings had been all sex. She’d had fantasies fulfilled that she didn’t even know she had. And Logan had been downright attentive over the week since they’d returned.

“How’s your rack of lamb?” Drew asked her.

The question was polite, innocuous, but after all the naughty things they’d done, his deep voice felt intimate, sending a thrill through her. “Perfect, thank you.”

Across the table, Cat opened her purse for her cell phone. She fiddled beneath the table a moment, the universal sign of texting, then left her phone in her lap.

“Where shall we go next?” Logan asked. “Cozumel? Or somewhere we can drive to? Like Napa.” The wine country was only a two-hour drive.

“We could do some weekend trips.” Cat sipped her chardonnay. “There’s a place up north along the Mendocino Coast called Sea Ranch. We could rent a condo right on the cliffs over the ocean.”

“I love the coast up there when there’s a big storm out on the ocean.” Alexis wasn’t sure if she meant that as a yes to more sex or just an innocuous comment.

She wasn’t used to it yet, that they’d keep up these sexual games. She’d been on edge since they got back, as if there were expectations she wasn’t sure she could meet. She’d gotten into the sex; it had been totally amazing, but Tahoe had been a different world. She wasn’t sure they should go on with it. At some point, didn’t these things turn bad? Except that things between her and Logan seemed so good. He couldn’t keep his hands off her. He wanted her next to him on the couch while they watched TV. He complimented her cooking. And twice since Tahoe she’d woken in the middle of the night to his touch. Once she’d been having a sex dream, only to wake to feel Logan’s fingers on her clit.

Which was part of her problem. It wasn’t about Logan; no, she’d been dreaming of Drew going down on her. The worst thing was that she felt smug about the fact that Drew had loved licking her though Cat had said he didn’t like oral sex much. She didn’t feel jealousy over Logan so much as a sense of competitiveness toward Cat. It tainted her. It worried her. She could not allow herself to feel any sort of attachment or connection, or even petty competition. For everyone else, this was just sex. She was too emotional.

“There are some nice wineries down around Paso Robles and Templeton.” Drew put in his two cents.

The central coast was pretty. She’d gone to college in San Luis Obispo. “Have you ever been to the Madonna Inn? Every room has a different theme. There’s one that’s like a cave, all stone, called the Rock Room or something.”

“That sounds fun.” Cat’s voice was high with enthusiasm.

Yet below it all was sex. To anyone listening, the discussion was about weekend getaways, but they were planning sex dates. Yes, and where would you like to get fucked next weekend? She wasn’t used to the idea. She was on edge, looking for hidden meanings.

Still, she didn’t want to put a stop to it.

“God, this filet mignon is to die for.” Cat sighed dreamily. Like when Logan was going down on her. “You’ve got to try it.” She sliced a piece and fed it to Drew.

“Damn. That’s good.” Drew pointed at his plate. “But so’s the swordfish.”

“Here, you try.” Cat cut off another piece and, without a thought, fed it to Logan.

An odd little electric current buzzed through Alexis. Logan eating from Cat’s fork was just too...intimate. She couldn’t say why. It was a ridiculous notion after everything they’d done in Tahoe. Yet she couldn’t shake it.

“Do you like lamb?” she asked Drew.

  “Yeah.”

Alexis cut a piece and let him eat off the end of her fork. Then she hated herself for doing it as if it were again a competition with Cat. “Logan hates lamb,” she explained, as if to say that’s why she’d chosen Drew instead. “You want to try it, Cat?”

She made a face. “I’m with Logan. Lamb’s not my thing.”

The meal continued as if nothing had happened. Indeed, nothing had. She was a complete freak and had embarrassed herself with the silly game of one-upmanship, though no one seemed to notice, thank God.

“We’re agreed. The Madonna Inn for a weekend in September,” Cat said after a ten-minute discussion. “Do you want to book it, Alexis, and pick the coolest rooms?”

Pressure. God, was the Madonna Inn still there? She hadn’t thought of the place in years. “Sure, I’ll check it out.”

The waiter brought the dessert menus and removed their empty plates.

“Why don’t we each order something different and share?” Cat was just chock full of suggestions. But at least when the coffee and desserts arrived, she didn’t feed the men.

God, why was she feeling bitchy about everything? “Your white chocolate mousse was the best idea, Cat,” Alexis said brightly, as if praising Cat would make up for her own inner bitch.

When the check arrived, Logan glanced at it and threw down his credit card. Then he played with his cell phone a minute as if he were using the calculator to figure out the tip.

“Thanks, guys, that was great.” Drew patted Alexis’s hand. When Logan had first broached dinner out, Drew wanted to split the bill, but Logan insisted it was repayment.

“Our treat next time,” Cat added. She reached down into her lap. Her phone again.

“Sweetheart, quit playing with your cell,” Drew said lightly.

Cat only laughed. “It’s his fault.” She pointed at Logan, then lowered her voice. “He keeps sending me filthy text messages about what he wants us all to do after dinner.”

Alexis felt Cat’s words like a hand closing around her throat.

“What he’d say?” Drew made for the phone, but Cat leaned over to whisper in his ear. A slow smile grew on his face, then he shot his index finger at Logan. “You,” he emphasized, “are a dirty man.”

Logan leaned back in his chair and gave a belly laugh. “Yes, I am.”

They were all laughing, yet Alexis felt chilled. As if she were on the outside looking in. She glanced at Logan, tried to smile, but it came across as a horrible grimace. Logan was texting Cat.

She wondered how often he texted Cat. She wondered what he said.

A moment later, her cell phone vibrated against her hip. She’d worn the thin chain of her evening bag across her chest, and the cell was inside. She checked, finding a new text message.

It was Drew’s number. “Your husband wants 2 blindfold U and make U guess which of us is licking U. Have I mentioned U have a gorgeous pussy?”

Her nipples peaked against her camisole. Her pussy was suddenly wet.

As the waiter refilled their coffees, she punched on her phone’s slide-out keyboard. “Have I mentioned how good it is when U lick my pussy?” She’d never gotten the hang of texting shorthand except for U.

She heard Drew chuckle. Then her phone vibrated again. Too fast for Drew, it was Cat. “My husband wants a replay of the night I straddled his cock and U straddled his face.”

“Okay.” Alexis laughed, then leaned into the table. “You’re all terrible.”

Someone else sent her a message. “Baby, I need 2 watch U get fucked.” Logan.

She was almost faint with need. All she could think of was Drew’s tongue on her, his cock inside her. Logan’s cock in her mouth as she was being taken. She fumbled over the keys in reply. “I want both of U to fuck me. One after the other. Until I pass out.”

  “She’s flushed.”

With Cat’s words, Alexis looked up from her phone. Yes,
her cheeks were warm, her body was hot.

Cat’s eyes reflected the burning candle flame in the center of the table. “Should we drive all the way home? Or get a room now?”

  Chapter Ten

Drew was seated in the first chair along the back wall of the boardroom. He was up next, a brief presentation on the latest glitch in the rotation software and his fix for it, but Sanders, the company’s controller, was lost in his numbers. Drew was in his first year as Engineering VP of NexGen, a maker of visual enhancement software for computer displays, and had inherited the rotation software from his predecessor. The software supported rotating display orientations from portrait to presentation to landscape. It wasn’t working. He’d advocated scrapping the whole program and starting over. The board overruled him. He was in here damn near every month with another update.
