Chasing Day Series: Chasing Day & Catching Day Page 8

“I’m gonna guess that you finally came,” Chase said smugly.

“If that’s what you want to call it. I came. I went. I’m done.” Daylen said, completely sated and eyes closed.

She heard Chase chuckle and she looked up at him through squinted eyes. That’s when she realized that he was right. They’d already built up a level of comfort and security, from years of friendship. Once the initial nerves wore off, they felt at ease being playful and honest with each other.

Daylen closed her eyes again and she heard, what sounded like Chase removing his pants. She found out moments later that she had heard correctly. She felt him ease into her still sopping heat. Chase didn’t waste any time thrusting in deeply. Daylen’s body instantly came to life, as if she didn’t just have the most mind-blowing experience of her life, just moments ago.

Chase bent down and kissed her lips, his tongue dipping inside her mouth as she cried out. Daylen could taste herself on his tongue and it wasn’t unpleasant in the least. It felt extremely intimate.

“I wanna try something I saw in a porn. Nothing crazy, though.” Chase panted.

“If it’s anything like the last thing you tried, I’m totally okay with it,” Daylen said between breaths.

One at a time, Chase lifted her legs up to his chest. He then leaned forward, resting his hands on either side of her. Daylen’s thighs laid flush against her chest, Chase poised at her entrance and then plunged forward.

Daylen sucked in a huge breath as he went deeper than he had thus far. Her eyes widened, her lips opened on a silent scream, and her body tensed around him.

“Good?” Chase growled out and leaned down to kiss her.

“Holy shit! Yes!” Daylen cried against his mouth.

Chase delivered deep thrust after thrust. He tried different variations but when he swiveled his hips on an inward pump, Daylen moaned deeply, her toes curling. He had gotten the hang of her sounds and reactions and made sure he mimicked the move several more times.

Daylen felt the now familiar fluttered deep within her core. This time, though, it came on slowly, building momentum as it came closer to the surface.

“Oh…Chase! Keep going. I think it’s gonna happen again! Yes…right there! Keep doing that.” Daylen pleaded.

Chase swiveled his hips again and she detonated. He bent forward to kiss her lips, catching her cries with his mouth. Her flexing inner walls squeezed him tightly and Chase shouted back into her mouth as he spilled his seed deep inside of her. They both twitched and convulsed in each other’s arms and finally collapsed in a sated heap of sweaty limbs.

Chase fell to the side, not wanting to crush her. Daylen drooped back but was immediately gathered into Chase’s arms. Her head rested comfortably on his chest, listening to his heart slow to its regular beat.

“Wow! That was better than the first time, for sure!” Chase exclaimed breathlessly.

“I second that motion.” Daylen yawned, exhausted from two back to back orgasms.

“I actually felt you come around me. It was amazing. And so hot, it made me come.” Chase said in awe.

“Really?” Daylen asked though her eyes were getting heavier and heavier.

“Are you falling asleep on me?” Chase chuckled.

“Yes.” Yawn. “Aren’t you tired?” Yawn.

“Yeah, but I’m so happy that I don’t know if I could go to sleep,” Chase said, squeezing her in a tight side hug.

“Well, try. Or don’t. But I’m gonna.” Daylen was out practically after the last word was passed her lips.

  “Goodnight, Pretty Day.”

The made love two more times throughout the night, both reaching for each other in the dark. Just before dawn, Daylen walked Chase to the spare bedroom so he could sleep there. She didn’t think it was a good idea for him to go home, considering. Or for her mother to find them in her room naked and in each other’s arms.

She reluctantly pulled out of his warm embrace and soft kisses and slipped back into her room to fall into a deep exhausted sleep.

  Chapter 10

Chase woke up mid-morning to the smell of food. His stomach protested loudly in hunger. Another part of him was hungry as well. For the butterscotch beauty down the hall. He had the stiffest case of morning wood he’d ever had. The previous night had been the best night of his life. Even better than winning state championships in high school. After countless sensual dreams, starring his best friend last night, Chase was ready for more. He knew that there was nothing he could do about it now, though. It was obvious that her mother was awake, so that meant no nookie for him for the time being.

Chase got up and made the bed. He pulled his jeans on over his boxer, threw on his black t-shirt, and tied his sweater around his waist. His favorite way to hide any embarrassing moments since he was fifteen. Once he was dressed, he quietly opened the bedroom door and stepped out into the hallway.

Chase closed the door and started down the hall. He heard the sound of water running in Daylen’s bathroom. He stopped and knocked softly at the door. Daylen jerked the door open, her toothbrush sticking out of her mouth and foamy toothpaste was around her full lips. Chase couldn’t help the grin that spread from ear to ear. He took in her braids piled high on top of her head, the same musical note pajama bottoms from last night, and high school sweatshirt. She looked adorable.

  “Merry Christmas,” he whispered.

“Mrr Chrma,” Daylen mumbled around the toothbrush and paste. A telltale blush crept up her cheeks.

Chase stepped inside the bathroom, shut the door, and locked it. Daylen’s chocolate brown eyes grew round. She nervously looked back and forth between Chase and the closed door. She quickly finished brushing her teeth and rinsed her mouth and toothbrush.

“What are you doing, Chase? My mom is downstairs,” she hissed under her breath.

Chase quietly took her toothbrush out of her hand and put a dab of toothpaste on it. He rewetted the bristles and started brushing his teeth as he stared at her. Daylen stared back with her mouth hanging open, as he used her toothbrush to brush his teeth.

“I should totally be grossed out right now. But why do I find that hot?” Daylen shook her head at him.

He just smiled around the brush and winked at her. Chase rinsed his mouth, placed the brush in its holder, and then grabbed Daylen’s hips and lifted her to the counter. He looked down into her searching eyes, before dropping his head to kiss her soundly.

His tongue dove into her mouth and Day melted into him. Chase tugged at her pajama pants and Day lifted her hips so that he could tug them down. He quickly undid his jeans and pushed them to his knees. Her mom be damned. He wanted another taste of her and nothing short of an apocalypse was going to stop him now.

Chase settled himself between her open thighs and pulled her to the edge of the counter. He rubbed the head of his cock against her slick pussy and then plunged in deeply. Day’s eyes widened and a cry escaped her lips before she could catch it. She clamped her mouth shut and bit down on her bottom lip. Chase growled as he thrust into her saturated tunnel.

“Daylen! Are you up? It’s time to eat and open presents!” Pat yelled from downstairs.

Day whipped her head to look at the door in fear. “I’m coming, mom! Just a sec!”

She almost choked on the last word as Chase started to pick up the pace. He kissed and nipped at her jaw.

“Yeah, you’ll be coming in just a second,” Chase panted suggestively against her cheek.

He gripped her hips tightly and began to pummel her delicate flesh. Day started to cry out and he slammed his mouth over hers to capture her sounds of pleasure. Chase felt her inner walls flutter around him, at the same time that she raked her fingernails over his back. The thin fabric of his shirt, protected his skin from the sharp crescents, as she reached her climax.

“UNGH!” Day moaned into his mouth.

Her slick passage contracted around his cock and Chase released her lips on a gasp. His head fell back and his eyes clos
ed as he exploded inside of her.

  “Shhhiiit!” He hissed softly.

As they came down from their high, Chase rested his forehead against hers. Their minty breath mingled between them.

“I can’t get enough of you.” Chase groaned quietly as he shook his head against hers.

  “Mmm…” Day responded weakly.

A clatter in the kitchen made them jump apart. Day jumped down from the counter and they quickly cleaned themselves up, between sloppy kisses.

“You stay here for a few minutes. And then come down after me so I can warn my mom you’re here.” Daylen instructed him.

“Okay,” Chase said before kissing her lips again, distracting her.

  “Stop that!” Day scolded him.

Chase grinned slyly at her and then reluctantly released her. He watched her straighten her sweatshirt and slip out the door.

He gave it a few minutes and then opened the door. He started down the stairs and heard their conversation.

“He stayed in the spare bedroom.” Day was trying to explain.

“Daylen Marie Daniels! Now I know you’re best friends, but he’s still a boy. I’m sure with raging hormones. And I will not have any boys sneaking around my house in the middle of the night, behind my back.” Pat reprimanded Daylen. She, of course, was more right than she knew. Pat was no dummy. Chase was sure she’d noticed the way he looked at her daughter.

  “But Mom-” Day started.

“Don’t, ‘but Mom’ me!” Pat cut her off.

Chase chose that moment to walk into the kitchen.

“Merry Christmas, Mrs. D,” he said sweetly.

The older slimmer version of Daylen turned from the stove ready to tear into him. The moment she saw his black eye and split lip, her eyes grew as large as golf balls and she snapped her mouth shut.

“I’m sorry for staying over without permission. I just had a bad night.” Chase looked away as her gaze suddenly turned soft and sympathetic.

Pat sighed deeply. “It’s alright, Chase. You can stay here for as long as you need,” she offered kindly. “But…no funny business under my roof. Do you understand me?” She gave them both the evil eye.

“Yes, ma’am.” Chase and Daylen said in unison.

They sat in relative silence as they ate breakfast. Day tried not to stare at Chase. Chase tried not to stare at Day. And Pat watched them both like a hawk. After they were done, Pat shooed them into the living room where the tree and presents were.

Chase smiled as he watched the two women exchange gifts with each other. He wasn’t expecting anything when Day placed a large flat box on his lap. He looked up at her in surprise and she smiled shyly at him. Then she quickly looked up at her mom, looked away from her probing eyes, and sat down at a respectable distance from him on the couch.

“You didn’t have to get me anything,” Chase said bashfully.

“We always get you something.” Day grinned at him. “I saved up some money from my job at the movie theater and mom went in halfsies to get it. Open it,” she coaxed him.

Chase ripped open the pretty wrapping paper and lifted the top to the box. He moved the thin tissue paper to the side. Inside was a brown leather bomber jacket. His mouth hung open in surprise as he lifted the heavy material out of the box.

“We got it a couple sizes too big since you just keep growing.” Pat grinned at him. “We wanted you to be able to have it for a long time.”

“Try it on.” Day spoke softly.

Chase unzipped the front and slid his arms into the sleeves. It definitely had some room for him to grow, without him drowning in it now, so he could wear it now and years to come. His throat became tight and his eye stung a bit. With his dad never really working for any length of time, Chase’s clothes had always been some form of hand-me-down/thrift shop/charity items. He and his mom always made it work and no one was the wiser. Except for the pretty girl sitting next to him and her mom.

The things that Day and her mom had gotten him over the years for birthdays and holidays were the nicest things he’d had. And the jacket was the best thing yet.

“Wow! Thank you so much.” Chase said thickly.

  “You’re welcome.” Day smiled sweetly.

  “Of course,” her mom said.

“Oh, I have something for you, Day.” Chase cringed and turned to Pat. “I’m sorry, Mrs. D. I wasn’t able to get you anything.”

“Boy, please.” She fanned away his apology and gave him a look. Obviously, that was the end of that discussion.

“Uh, it’s in my coat pocket upstairs. Hold on just a sec.” Chase said as he ran out of the room and stomped up the stairs.

He ran into the spare bedroom, grabbed the gift wrapped in his customary newspaper, and ran back downstairs. Chase strode over to his spot on the couch and flopped down next to Daylen.

“I swear, you’re like a bull in a china shop.” Pat chuckled and shook her head.

Chase grinned sheepishly and handed the gift to Day. “It’s not much. I got all the stuff I needed with some of my financial aid money and then I made them myself.” Chase scratched his head, embarrassed.

“Don’t worry about it, Chase. I’m sure I’ll love it.” Day assured him as she tore into the paper.

Inside were two bracelets. One was bigger than the other. The smaller one was white leather, the bigger one black leather. They were made of thin leather strips that he’d braided intricately. In the middle of each bracelet was the swirling infinity symbol, made of silver. On both sides of each bracelet, he’d added square black beads with their initials in white. DD and CM.

“My version of the best friends forever idea. Since I can’t go around with a girlie half-heart necklace. I made yours in white, so it’ll match just about anything you wear. Plus, it should look good with your Pretty Day bracelet I got you.” Chase shrugged, trying to be nonchalant since Day hadn’t said anything yet.

Day touched the bracelets almost reverently. When she looked up at him, her eyes were glassy with unshed tears.

“You always get me the most thoughtful things. I love it, Chase.” She whispered. “Help me put it on?” Day asked, holding out her wrist and the bracelet.

Chase smiled warmly at her and took the bracelet. He slid it on the same wrist that held her other piece of jewelry from him. He adjusted the bracelet to fit her wrist and then secured it with a knot. Daylen picked up its black twin and slipped it on his wrist. Chase realized that the meaning behind the matching bracelets had shifted in the last twelve hours. By the look in Day’s eyes, the meaning wasn’t lost on her either.

Chase wanted to kiss her so badly, but Pat clearing her throat reminded them of where they were and who was watching. The jumped slightly apart, both trying to look at anything other than each other and her mother.

  “Uh huh…” Pat murmured knowingly.

Chase and Daylen helped clean the mess made from breakfast. Afterwards, they took turns taking showers. Then Daylen helped her mom finish up Christmas dinner while Chase acted as a taste tester. When everything was ready and the turkey was in the oven, Pat left the two kids to go exchange gifts with her friends at one of their houses. She gave Chase a warning look before she left.

Both of them settled in to watch the A Christmas Story marathon. About thirty minutes into the movie, a knock sounded at the front door. Day got up to answer it, and a few moments later she came back into the family room.

“Chase…it’s for you,” she said, hesitantly.

Chase got up to see who could be at the door for him. He turned the corner and saw his mother standing there, nervously wringing her hands.

“Mom, what are you doing here?” Chase asked worriedly.

“It’s Christmas. Can’t I see my son for just a moment?” She asked sadly.

“I just don’t want dad to flip out on you,” Chase explained.

“Well, it’s not like he can do much in the state he’s in. Besides, I wanted to give you a little something today. I
couldn’t go shopping for you without your dad finding out.” Stephanie placed something in his hand. “It’s not much, but go buy yourself something nice.”

Chase looked down and saw that it was a hundred dollar bill. “Mom, I don’t wanna take this if you need it. I know dad isn’t working right now.”

“No, no. Don’t worry about it.” Stephanie waved away his words. “I so rarely am able to do anything for you. And I’m so s-sorry about last night.” Her voice broke a little and Chase could see how hard it was for her to keep it together.

“I have something for you too.” Chase reached into his pants pocket and pulled out another bracelet he had made.

This one had an open heart, instead of the infinity sign. He hadn’t put any initials on it. Chase figured if his dad knew he’d made it, he’d destroy it or something.

“I love you, mom.” Chase said and gave her a sad smile.

“I love you too, sweetie,” she said as he placed the bracelet on her wrist. “It’s beautiful.”

“Mom, I just want you to know that when I make it pro, I’m gonna take you away from here. I know you feel you can’t leave now, but eventually you will. I’ll help you. Just hold on, okay?” Chase said, blinking back tears.

“Yeah, baby. Okay.” Stephanie pushed up on her tiptoes and kissed him on the cheek. “I better get going.”

Chase nodded and opened the door for her. He stood for a moment and watched her walk away. Finally, the cold wind blowing in forced him to close the door.

“You okay?” Day asked from behind him.

“Yeah.” Chase turned to look at her.

All the hurt that he felt a moment ago eased the second he gazed at her beautiful face. After her shower, she’d put on some hip hugging bootcut jeans and a black V-neck sweater. Her thick shapely legs were begging to be stripped bare, but Chase figured he’d have to wait till later tonight. He was not about to get caught with his pants down by her mom. Pat was already suspicious.
