Tangled in Sin Page 28

by Lavinia Kent

A deep breath. This was the rest of her life. “Yes.”

He knelt again and placed a single finger under her chin, raising her face until he could look into her eyes. “It will all work out, Sin. And even if it does not, even if it is revealed that we spent several nights alone in the cottage because of the storm, all will be forgiven when we marry.”

He pulled back and placed a finger at the top of the blanket, pulling it down. “I did say my father is at his club until late. I think perhaps we should practice this being married a bit, be sure we are ready for it.”

“Do you have doubts?” she asked, knowing the answer already.

A wide, lazy grin spread across his face. “Not a one, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to practice.” He pushed her back to the blankets.

“Yes, I do like to be sure I get things right,” she replied, drawing his head to her own.
