Anarchist Season 2 book 2 Page 4

by Jordan Silver

Along with the book that looked like some sort of album was a portfolio on some guy name Stockton. I put that shit aside for now. He would be the bird the SEALs wanted me to smoke out. He didn’t look like military and Lo hadn’t said exactly what it was he’d ran from, but I was sure I’d learn all I needed to soon enough.

I turned my attention to the album growing more and more confused with each page until I got to the middle and saw her face there. I went cold first before the trembling started in my legs and made its way up to my arms and the rest of me; instant headache. “What the fuck?” I threw the book across the room crashing it into the wall. I had to calm down before I went to get it back, but my hands were still trembling.

I went through the book again, this time with new eyes. I started to reach for the phone to call Lo and then I saw another familiar face. It had been a while since I’d seen her, but with my training a face wasn’t something I’d forget. “Fuck me this is gonna be bad.” I had to make another call. I slammed the shit closed feeling sick to my gut. What did it all mean? I’d handled enough shit for the government to know what I was looking at. But I didn’t want to believe it. Who the fuck could be responsible for this shit?

The life I’d led in the military before moving back wasn’t one that could be shared with anyone. From the time I made it out of basic I was handpicked for the berets. All of the jobs I’d done were strictly top secret and you needed the highest security clearance in the land to get even a whiff. I hadn’t even shared it with my wife or my brother, the two closest people to me in the world. There were things that I’d take to the grave with me, known only to me, and the men who’d served with me. But if what I just saw was what I think it is, somebody knew more than they should.

I made sure the coast was clear before I put the call in to Creed, telling him to get his ass to my place as soon as possible. “You want to tell me what’s going on?”

“I’d rather not brother just get here as soon as possible. Did you get married yet?”

“Working on it as we speak.”

“You can do it here, there’s a priest or preacher or whatever the fuck on call here the last few weeks. I think the boys are holding him hostage.” I said it as a joke but the shit was true. It seemed marriage was on the menu for me, and my men this season.

I went in search of Dana Sue after I hung up. I had a prickling suspicion as to why she was in that book, and though I knew she was safe here with me now, I still needed to feel her, to see her, to reassure myself. I wouldn’t give into the fear that threatened to choke me. No one was going to get near her not as long as I had breath in my body.

I knew that peace shit wasn’t gonna last. But hands down I would prefer Dana Sue’s pain in the ass bullshit than dealing with this fuckery. I found her in my brother’s house looking guilty as hell with my cousin and brother, riding herd on her and her crew. Any other time I would’ve asked what the hell they’d done now but in light of what I’d just learned I had more important things on my mind than her usual antics.

“Excuse us.” I pulled her up from the chair and headed back out.

“Lawton I can explain.” She started as soon as we were on the other side of the door. I didn’t answer, just sped up my pace and practically dragged her across the yard to our house. Once inside I pushed her back against the door and took her face in my hands.

“What…” I didn’t let her finish before covering her lips with mine while pressing myself into her. I had to warn myself to take it easy, to leash some of the rage coursing through me lest I hurt her. “Take this off.” My hand fought with her dress but all I was able to do was get it up around her hips before I was tearing her panties in half.

I shoved my fingers inside her as soon as her pussy was free while she unbuttoned her dress. Her fingers trembled where they were trapped between my chest and hers and I took matters into my own hands. A loud rip rent the air when I tore the dress down the middle. Her bra went the way of her panties and I had her tit in my mouth. She was safe. No one could get to her here. I tried convincing myself, but I was afraid. Not bitch scared, but afraid of what and who might be behind this. If the government was going after its own then I had a bigger fight on my hands than ever before.

“I love you.” I didn’t say it enough. Did I show her did she know that I meant those words? “Oh baby.” I buried my face in her neck as I lifted her and drove into her. Only then did the wild beating fear in my heart ease. “Lawton what’s wrong?”

She pushed my head back and looked at me while I fucked into her. “Nothing’s wrong.” I took her mouth again to stop her from asking any more questions and wrapped her up tight in my arms. I pounded into her because I could do nothing else. She was alive and safe and for whatever reason she was in that book she was mine now and I’ll stand between her and all comers.

I walked towards our bed with our bodies still locked together. Once there I laid her down without pulling out and continued to fuck her slow and deep. It was the connection I needed.

Looking down at her I was amazed at all that had happened between us in such a short time. One day she was on my porch broken and beaten and the next thing I knew she’d burrowed herself deep into my heart.

Now it looked like someone was after her and I was afraid it was because of me. There was one other option but it was too farfetched and fucked up even for a piece a shit like her dad. I had to put it away for now. I didn’t want her getting even a whiff of what was going on.

I kept her in bed under me all day until we were both tired and hungry. She was still watching me like she was waiting for an explanation for my strange behavior, but I kept distracting her with kisses and sex. Then again she could be worried that I was going to bring up the subject of whatever the hell it was she’d been up to when I walked into that room earlier.

The next morning she rolled out of bed and made a mad dash for the bathroom. I was hot on her tail and was in time to see her bent over the bowl retching. That would be an explanation for her green look the last few days. What followed was a conversation where I was trying to convince her she was carrying my seed and her trying to deny it.

She was scared as fuck. Then she was worried about the fact that she’d been drinking the other night. I calmed her down the best I could before putting her back to bed and grabbing her some tea. I sat in bed with her head on my lap until she fell asleep again then went and ordered my pain in the ass sister in law to go stand watch.

Creed showed up later that day and I forgot everything but his reason for being here. After all the greetings and I’d finally met his girl, we sent her off to be with the women. “Follow me.” I was not looking forward to what laid ahead but there was no way around it.

In the clubhouse I tried to calm him down before the fact but that shit didn’t work, he wanted to know what the fuck was going on, so I showed him. Like me he wasn’t sure what he was looking at, but I knew the second he caught it.

He had pretty much the same reaction I did and I signaled my guys and his boy Max to move in and keep his crazy ass contained. “I have to put eyes on her.” There was no stopping him from going to her and it was amazing how alike we were. We’d both had the same thought after seeing our women in a flesh book. That’s the loose term we use for trafficking magazines. Something the general public would not believe actually existed but did.

While he was gone I let the others in on what was going on. Shit I still had to call the SEALs and get them here since this shit involved them as well. I wouldn’t know all I needed to know until they got here and that shit couldn’t come soon enough.

I had another matter on my hand that could spell more trouble than even I was ready for. I brought it to Creed’s attention on his return. “That’s Lyon’s kid.” We both knew what that shit meant. All the men involved thus far were military. We had discipline and limits to a point. Colton Lyon didn’t know the meaning of either word.

“This is going to be fucked.”

  “Yeah
I know. I gotta call him in.” I’d called my guys and Creed’s right hand man in the room with us to contain Creed. I’d need a whole fucking battalion to restrain Colt. I thought of the best way to do this shit and no matter how I looked at it there was no right answer.

In the end I just called him and told him I needed to see him. He was a suspicious bastard by nature, but I didn’t give him anymore than I needed to on the phone. Colt and I met years ago when I went to his shop to buy my bike. He was the best in the business so that was an easy call. But becoming friends was something else entirely.

He’s the kind of man you want in your corner if shit goes south, and for someone who’d never been on the battlefield, he was a fucking general down to his toes. The one drawback was he’s fuck crazy and the only one who can rein him in that I know of is his wife.

We had no other choice but to wait for the others to show up. I had my guys do some recon later that night and they found the bird the SEALs were after. Some guy named Stockton. I ran him and the more we learned the worse the shit got. It looked like our government was into some sick shit which if true was gonna start a war on my turf. Fuck!

  Chapter 7

  LAW

  ***

After everyone showed up we went back to the drawing board. I’d given the others a heads-up about Colt and what might happen once he found his daughter in that damn book. He’d been joking around at the expense of us military types before we headed to the clubhouse but he wasn’t fooling me. He was wound so tight one wrong move and all hell would break loose.

“Okay Lyon, the rest of us have had time to look at this shit in the last day or so. I’m gonna show you what we’ve got and then we’re gonna decide what to do next. As it stands we have more questions than answers…”

“Bro, you’re starting to make me nervous, I don’t like being nervous, just tell me what the fuck…” I passed the album off to him and waited.

I saw his brow furrow as he paged through and felt my muscles tense when he came to the page I knew his kid was on. “Caitie Bear? What the fuck is this? Who the fuck are these kids?”

“That’s what we’re trying to figure out.”

“Start fucking talking.” He looked around the table at all of us, his face set in stone. “Lo?” I turned to the man who’d sent me the book.

“Right. The book you’re holding in your hand was confiscated from the home of a man we suspect is guilty of human trafficking among other things...”

The fucker flew out his seat and headed for the door. Everyone in the room got to their feet because that’s what the fuck you do when confronted with a dangerous animal on the loose.

  “Where the fuck is he?”

“We don’t know, that’s what we’re trying to find out, but I’m afraid this shit is bigger than we thought and it stretches far and wide.”

“I need five.” He pulled his phone and walked out of the room, with his boy Jared on his heels. “We wait.” I told the others as we took our seats. Hopefully whatever call he was making would give him time to cool the fuck down so he didn’t destroy my place with his shit. Fuck!

“Who is he?” I looked at Lo who’d asked that question.

“He makes bikes, at least that’s the man his neighbors know. Those who know him know he’s one dangerous fucking animal when crossed. Like I told you he was never military he has no control and he would kill without a thought if you fuck with his family.”

“And his kid is in the book.”

“Yeah.” Colt returned then and took his seat again. I didn’t trust the calmness one fuck. He asked for the bird’s name and made a call before the other two men I’d called in showed up. Blade and Jake knew a lot more about the trafficking game than the rest of us so I figured they could give us a hand.

By the end of the night we had a working plan of action in place, but that didn’t make me any less nervous. My place was crawling with military and outlaws all I needed now was the asshole sheriff showing up here with his shit.

  “Colt you doing okay brother?”

“The fuck you think? Some asshole put my kid in a flesh book and I’m sitting here cooling my heels. If this shit don’t go right you’re gonna need to move.”

  “Why’s that?”

“Because I’m gonna blow this fuck to kingdom come and you know I’m not kidding.” Yeah I know. That’s what I’m afraid of.

“Colt I’m asking you to let us handle this shit the right way. You go cowboy on us it can get FUBAR and then we’ll be nowhere.” He didn’t answer which meant he wasn’t listening to shit I say. I left it alone and clapped him on the shoulder before heading out to find Lo.

  “We’ve got trouble.”

  “Yeah, what’s that?”

“Lyon, Colt, he’s gonna go rogue.”

  “How you figure?”

“Because I know him, that whole time in the club he was reading us. Gathering Intel. I warned you that he don’t play by the rules. We gotta keep an eye on him.”

“Lookie here; looks like I got me a rogue of my own.”

I followed his gaze across the yard to the darkened corner where Colt was in deep conversation with Tyler one of the SEALs.

  “Well fuck.”

“No worries, we have a pretty good idea where they’ll be heading. Let’s stay on alert and meet them halfway if it comes to that.”

“I should call his fucking wife to leash his ass.”

“I don’t think that’s gonna work this time. While he was studying us I was studying him. He might not have seen battle but that is one badass soldier.”

  “More like a mercenary.”

That night shit went from bad to worse. We learned that one of the families involved, the Porters, had fucked with Colt’s wife years ago and though he didn’t admit it, Colt had offed their son in retaliation. That would explain why his daughter was in the book. Then we learned that the book was old school and the fuckers had upped their game, they went digital. One of the SEALs found his woman in the lineup and shit almost went south.

After we calmed Cord down the best we could everyone headed to their beds for the night. I stayed awake counting down the hours until full dark. If Lyon made a move it would be then. She was asleep next to me wrapped up tight in my arms and all I could think about was my child growing inside her. Why was she in that book?

Was it The Fox, or her old man and the deal he had with Royce? There were way more questions than answers. Had Royce been in league with whatever was going on here and if so how much of a foothold did these fucks have in my town?

Up until now I had been operating under the notion that the shit was contained to me, and my family. Royce had killed my family to get my dad’s land or so I’d thought. But what if this was about me? What if The Fox had somehow got ahold of the names of the men who’d run him to ground and was hitting back now? That’s what Lo and his brothers thought, and I was inclined to believe them.

The thought made me sick to my gut. Royce was one thing, a man like Khalil aka The Fox was a more worthy opponent. He had a lot of power, which I’d thought couldn’t reach domestic soil, but somehow he’d found a way in. If this was true, then I had bigger problems than Junior and the asshole sheriff.

My phone beeped and I answered on the second ring when I saw the name on the readout. “Kat what’s up?”

“You tell me, is Colt still there with you? I can’t reach him.” She sounded panicked and I calmed her down as best I could before getting her off the phone.

The fact that she couldn’t reach Colt at a time like this could only mean one thing.

I slipped out of bed and went in search of Lo. “It’s time to go he’s on the move.”

“We were waiting for you brother, Ty left out about five minutes ago.” The mood was somber as we headed into the hills where I was sure Lyon and Ty were heading. After tonight there will be no turning back. If we made first strike the enemy would know that we were onto him, it was the equivalent of declaring war.

&nb
sp; When we’d gone up against The Fox in the past, we had the backing of the world governments behind us, this time we were on our own. And from what we’d gathered so far, coupled with the fact that there was no way he could’ve found out who we were without inside information, we were in the middle of something very nasty.

“You sure you ready for this brother? I know you have security but you’re like a sitting duck here. Why don’t you give some thought to coming down to Georgia? We can protect you better there.”

“I’m not running from this fuck.”

“No but you got a wife and a kid on the way that you need to think about, we have the compound brother, they’ll be safe there.”

It was something to think about. What he was saying made sense and if I didn’t have Dana Sue to think about I’d stand my ground and take on all comers. But these new developments had changed the game.

“I’ll think about it. I hear our little deserters coming now.” I watched as Colt and Ty with Colt’s crew made their way through the brush. I stepped out from the dark and cut them off and was lucky I didn’t catch a bullet. Fucking Lyon.

“You guys are late.” I lifted my brow at his hardheaded ass. Later I’ll take him to task for going off on his own, but since we were already here what was the point? I knew he wasn’t going to back down anyway so I wasn’t going to try.

“Law, fancy seeing you here.” I gave him the finger as Lo dragged Tyler off to chew his ass out.

“Kill the shit Lyon your woman sold you out.”

  “Kat? What the fuck?”

“Apparently she’s been on with you for the last little while up until roughly an hour or so ago, when you went off grid. It doesn’t take a genius to figure that shit out.”

“Uh-huh, tell your soldier boy fucks if they’re not here to play get the fuck down off the hill I got shit to do and bullets don’t know no names.”

“You hardheaded son of a bitch, didn’t I tell you to wait?” He just shrugged and looked bored. “You want in or you gonna stand around here all night? I got a few assholes to dispatch brother.” He filled me in on what they had planned as Lo came back to us.
