Abiding Mercy Page 32

by Ruth Reid

  6. How did you feel when Faith begins to settle in to life with the Colepeppers? Did you feel like it was a betrayal to her friends and family in Posen? Her Amish way of life? Can you recall times in your life when you accepted God’s will for you even when it went against everything you preferred?

  7. Roslyn makes the difficult decision to let Faith go after finally getting her back. In what ways does Roslyn’s character grow over the course of the story? Is the person she becomes someone you’d want to befriend?

  8. The man with red hair shows up in several scenes of the book. Who does this man represent to you? In what ways did he affect the outcome of the story? Could this story have had the same ending if this character hadn’t been present?
