If those werewolf able to roam freely and hurting many people, it means that mysterious woman that Reyn always search all this time, can't handle this alone. Reyn is sure, that woman is cornered and it is appropriate for her if now she is escaping. And even there is 4 way to escape this complex, but only this road that Reyn sure is the safest route.
Reyn still waiting and hope that his prediction will hit the mark. For a long time he searching that woman. Not much that he knows about her, he don’t even know how she looks, Reyn just know that she was there and real. Reyn always sure he can find her.
Reyn eyes opened wide. In the distance, he could see a young woman with short hair and a man wearing an eye glass running full speed to Reyn direction. Is that her? He think while getting ready. Both of them come near his car and passed Reyn car just now. Reyn eyes looking at them sharply, following their movement until Reyn saw a giant sword in that young woman back.
Immediately Reyn drive his car and turn it 180o chasing that mysterious woman that he always search. Reyn step to the brake and his car stopped beside that woman.
"Quickly! Get in!" Reyn yelled
That mysterious woman startled and look at Reyn suspiciously. Her hand is touching the sword hilt and ready to strike if she must.
"Trust me. I am on your side. If I lied, you can kill me later." Reyn try to convince that woman
That man which together with that woman entering Reyn car and take a seat in the back, he then pressing the power window button to open the car window."Aria!" He called from the back seat, looking at behind her back.
For a moment Aria looked to the back and shortly she get into the car.
Reyn drive his car as fast as possible leaving that place. He stare into the rearview mirror, those werewolf stopped and not trying to chase them anymore.
"Who are you?!" Aria look at Reyn coldly
Reyn take a glance toward a small dagger that nearly cut his throat."I am a man that you can trust, we have a same wish." Reyn answered casually with calm voice.
"Aria, he just helped us." Said Zafar
"SHUT UP!" Aria shouted to Zafar that now gulped and silent.
Zafar could feel an intense anger from Aria to himself. Is this because I leave the house and not listening her? Zafar thinks and didn’t dare to open his mouth anymore.
"Do you know who I am?" Aria asked Reyn
Reyn takes a deep breath and aware that his life is at stake. If Reyn speak out the wrong word, he must be consent to gave his life to Aria.
"For a long time I have searching you. Aren’t you wanted to destroy them? I had an information about them. Surely I will give it all, if you want to cooperate with me."
For a while Aria become quiet. Should she trust the man beside her now? But, that man is looks honest and had a composed attitude, unlike an idiot man in the back seat. Aria removing her small dagger from Reyn throat. Maybe he will be useful, Aria thinks. Warding any suspicion and giving temporary trust toward that man.
IRISE DELEGNERE
"Boring, is there no good quality watch?" Marsha grumbled, looking at television with sullen face
"Well, in this hour there is no news, most of channel now filled by gossip." Hafiz answered while typing in his computer.
"That's right! These people didn't have a decent job, why does they always interfere in another people problems?? Look at them, I am sure they themselves had their own unsolved problems!"
Hafiz cynically smiles."Other people have various job Marsha, well, all of it is to find money of course. They did that to survive."
"Rotten!" Marsha cursing
Hafiz let out a little smile
Kreek . . . A sound of door opening was heard
Marsha looked at where the door located in her right side. Reyn appear with man and woman behind him. Seeing that woman clothes in tatter and had a blood stains everywhere along with a giant sword in her back, made Marsha think. Is she doing a cosplay? Interesting Marsha become interested.
"Oh big bro, who are they?" Marsha asked
Marsha take a glance toward the man that walked in Reyn left side then stare at that woman walked in Reyn right side. Long enough Marsha looked at her, she stunned amazed until both of her eyes widely open. Beautiful . . . said her in her mind.
"Friends . . . " Reyn answered
Together with Aria and Zafar, Reyn walk pass Marsha and head to the row of sofa that located in the middle of living room.
"Your college friends?" Hafiz asking and for a while smiled toward Aria and Zafar
"Yes," Reyn answered
Letting up his friendly smile that isn't answered by Aria and Zafar, Hafiz returned to his work while Marsha looked back at the TV in front of her for some time. They didn't bother Reyn anymore.
"Come take a seat!" Reyn looked at Zafar and Aria alternately.
Aria take her giant sword from her back, then put it in her side before take a seat beside Zafar.
"Want a drink?" Reyn asked
"Reyn isn't it? I don't need your hospitality." Aria staring at Reyn
Marsha and Hafiz instantly look at their back and stare at Reyn with his guests. Aren't they college friends? Marsha think. That girl made curious with Aria rude attitude.
Reyn sighed and take a seat in front of Aria and Zafar
"My name is Reynold, I know where are they come from." Said Reyn
"D-Do you mean . . . Those werewolf?!" Zafar yelled in surprise
"Yes." Reyn nod
"Where? Where are they come from? Who are they exactly? Are they really a monster? Or an alien?" A question coming out of Zafar mouth simultaneously, he can't hold his curiosity anymore.
"Hey!" Aria snap and glared at Zafar."Can't you shut your mouth?!"
"But, but I have to know the truth about them, I am a victim here."
Aria take a deep breath, trying to ignore Zafar and looked at Reyn."So how much did you know?" Asked her
"Some confidential information which are made by this country government. But I will only tell this if you agree to cooperate with me." Answer Reyn with convincing expression.
Suddenly Zafar pounding hard on the table and made everyone in the room surprised."Do you not hear me? I have to know the truth!" Zafar shouted at Reyn full of impatience.
"Hey!" Once again Aria warn Zafar. She glared fiercely at Zafar, giving a sign to that man so that he would shut his mouth.
But weariness because all of these incident that he experience lately and feeling agitated because he must see his close friend died in front of his eyes, accompanied by curiosity that never answered triggering his anger and made him lost control.
"I only just want an answer, why all of you never telling me the truth? You all didn’t know what happened to me."Zafar body trembling, that man growl angry."Did I not tell you that I am a victim here?!" Zafar shouted in anger
Aria eyes turning Red and BUUKKK!!! . . .
Suddenly a hard punch landed in Zafar face until that man fall from the sofa. A fresh blood spurt from his nose. Aria standing in front of him, stare angrily toward Zafar with both her hand clenched tight.
Hafiz shocked and stand up at once, he looked at the ruckus. Meanwhile Marsha, that girl still sit in her place and rotate her body toward the same direction where Hafiz seeing. Looking at rare the occasion while holding her chin above both of her hand that was folded above the chair backrest.
Interesting, Said Marsha in her mind while can't hold her smile.
Zafar that was in pain trying to get up while pointing his index finger toward Aria."You . . . Bitch! I will not get involved this far if I never meet with you! I just want the truth, is that wrong?!"
Aria tooth gritted, instantly she jumped and kick Zafar stomach very hard until his body flew and hitting the wall, then slowly he fall facing down at the floor.
"Whoa . . . Whoa . . . Whoo . . . , what happened here?!" Reyn startled and confused.
Hafiz that before watching as a spectator suddenly run toward Zafar. He wanted to help Zafar but . . .
"Don't interfere." Said Aria in cold tone, lifting her right hand toward Hafiz that stopped immediately.
Aria approaching Zafar and step at his head."Are you aware. Today incident happened because of you, Hah?!" Aria stare at him with disgust."Remember, how many people that must die because of your idiocy. I already warn you before, right?!" Aria growl angrily.
Zafar is defeated. He coughing and his mouth expelling much blood. His head in pain and his body becoming stiff and can't move. Meanwhile one of his hand holding his stomach that now in extreme pain and queasy.
Aria lifted her foot away from Zafar's head. She walk to the sofa and take a seat while at the same time takes a deep breath trying to ease her rage.
Hafiz immediately come near Zafar and squat beside him."H-he's fainted." Said Hafiz while looked at Aria that not even looks in return.
That is one of entertaining sight for Marsha. She curious about Aria character that was look amazing in her eyes, Marsha stand up from her seat and suddenly moving to Reyn side. Sit neatly in front of Aria while smiling.
For a while Aria stare at Marsha and then change where her eyes directed toward Reyn."What do you mean by cooperate?"
"Right. You wanted to destroy them right? All of us in here want to do that." Reyn answered
"Wait, big bro . . . Is she the one that we always seek?!" Marsha pointed her index finger to Aria.
Reyn nod."Yes, Marsha."
Marsha looked at Aria from head to toe. In Marsha eyes, Aria appearance is like a normal woman in general. Blue eyes and black short hair. Her face is looked like a people from foreign country than a native. But for a foreign person, she can speak fluently in this country language. Is she a crossbreed? Marsha thinks while glancing at Aria giant sword that located beside Aria.
"What business do you have with them?" Aria asking
"They killed my parent." Marsha answering, sadness appear in her eyes
"They taking my little sister." Said Hafiz that now joined with them and sit beside Marsha.
Meanwhile Reyn is not answering. Yes, Reyn had his own memories, a memory that he never told to anyone even now. However everyone belief that Reyn hiding a hatred toward those organization same as Marsha and Hafiz. Because of that Reyn attempting hard searching Aria and she was here now, in front of them.
Aria looked at Hafiz and Marsha alternately without saying a word. Their reason is more than enough for her to understand how much hatred they feel. Sadness, anger, regret, disappointment and despair, no more word that exactly can draw everyone feeling in this room. They all wanted the same thing, vengeance.
IRISE DELEGNERE
Ichsan face pale. With both of his arms folded in front of his chest, Ichsan can't change where his eyes directed, a children corpse that still 5 years old that just now being putted into the corpse bag by some officer.
"Ichsan!" Fahri called in husky voice, he approaching Ichsan
"Sir!" Another police officer comes approaching Fahri
"What?" Fahri asked to that officer
"A reporter wanted to meet with the one that responsible in this case. They want to get the information no matter what." That officer answered
Fahri looked at Ichsan which still quiet, looking at the children corpse in front of him.
"Ichsan, you must meet with them." Fahri ordering.
Ichsan let out a mocking smile and stare at Fahri. Sour and bitter was felt in his tongue until it inflicting pain in his heart."What do you think must I say to them? I already said that I hate acting."
Fahri takes a breath and look back at his subordinate that still waiting his answer."Meet Mr. Rahman, say to him that I ordering him to deal with the reporter."
"Yes, Sir!" That police officer give a salute toward Fahri and then hurried to accomplished his task.
"How long do you think we can conceal this? Everything of this?" Ichsan looked at Fahri."In this daytime they even dare to come out."
Fahri keep silent. He stare at some forensic officer that now lifting corpse bag and putting it into their car.
Ichsan follow where Fahri sight directed."Look . . . Look at them, their death have no means. What should we said to their family? Do you think they will accept everything without investigate it?"
"This incident will become classified." Fahri answering in low voice and deep.
"You mean . . . They will be considered lost?" Ichsan eyes opened wide in surprise
Fahri nod."What else can we do? If the victim family allowed to see the corpse state, they will not believe if this is happened because of the explosion of gas canister. There so much biting and claw wound in the corpses body."
Ichsan quiet for a moment, his heart become more painful and there is something obstructing, making his head dizzy.
"So you will take no action?" Ichsan look back at Fahri.
"Everyone had their own problems. All of this I did for my family. I'm just trying to protect them." Fahri voice is vibrating
That old man trying to ignore his guilty feeling that he felt, because the decision that he take.
"Is that so?" Ichsan smile sarcastically."Until when? Those terrible creature can appeared anytime and anywhere. You can still protect your family from people which had a power of all this, but you still can’t protect them from those terrible creature. Does you never think, what if one of these corpses is your daughter? What will you do? Can you say to her corpse that you protecting her? When she is in that state?"
Fahri fall silent. He can't decline Ichsan words that hit the mark in his heart. That man not only succeed shattered Fahri perception, he too can make him fail from escaping his guilt that before he try to ignore for his personal interest.
"Those victim didn't have any choice, they doesn’t even have a chance to think. They died because of sudden attack from something entirely unknown by them. For you 27 is only a small number, but what if your daughter death can substitute their place? One's life saving 27 victim, I am sure that one's number will be a big number for you."
"I am . . . I don't know what should I do". Fahri fall silent while looking at the ground. His voice was heard more weaker than before.
"Old man . . . Like I said earlier, just retire from this job." Ichsan walk away from Fahri side.
Fahri reflecting in that place. His conscience can't refuse Ichsan words casually. However a fear has drown his honesty and pity that he have all this time. His heart blind for a long time, closed by terrifying shadows that he always feared taking all his happiness away.
There is nothing wrong if Fahri is afraid and wanted to protect his family with his own method. Acting selfishly and closing his eyes towards those people he love. Isn’t that what every human do in this world? They are willing to sacrifice the others life only for their personal interest. But today, Fahri started to doubt. Fahri feel that there is some fault in his perception. Ichsan words thoroughly disrupt his mind and feeling. Fahri isn't so sure anymore, is it true with closing his eye and ears, his family will always be safe and sound? Is it true if all of that can guarantee his wife and daughter safety? Until when?
What if this problem will not meet an ends and it even can't be handled anymore. Continued to happen like this and maybe it becoming more severe. Those creature can't be hidden anymore from mass media and society. They multiplying and can freely come out anytime and anywhere, attacking and killing people wildly. Meanwhile, Fahri can't always be there protecting his family all the times. It would be possible, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, his wife or daughter that appeared inside the corpse bag. At that time it was too late to take action, what's left for him is only a regret.
Measure
Evan is not only knows a few important information about organization, he even have a map that tell where is that organization located. Even though that map is not the main facility, however if they can infiltrate that facility, Aria was confident they can get any secret information about the main facility location and all about it. That is what she wants to know. How much in
fluence this organization hold, who are the founder and what their objective is.
But because of jealousy that he felt, Aria obliged not to ask and gulping her curiosity down to her throat. Aria must exclude her curiosity to appreciate Evan's feeling.
"Aria, what are you doing?" Evan suddenly appears behind Aria and surprised because she make his work room in a mess.
Aria opened her eyes widely, she is not less surprised than Evan. She stopped to check a drawer in the table that was in front of her and turn her body slowly, staring at Evan without any remorse or guilt.
Evan trying to maintain his composure and keep calm even though he feel disappointed in his heart."Are you . . . looking for something?" Evan glances at his disorganized work table
"I need that facility location that you have." Said Aria in doubt.
After the talk between Evan and Aria that night, only this time they have meet and talk. Aria is not only go chasing Zafar, without any news she choose to hide in Reyn workshop after that. She did not tried to come back for Evan to tell him something has happened, and surely Evan feel more disappointed. Aria could see that disappointment in Evan's face.
Even though there was not even slight regret in her heart, but Aria couldn't refuse her feeling that she actually care toward Evan. Aria realize she should not return Evan kindness with this action. Sneaking to Evan house and steal something. But because of cares that Aria forced to do this. Doubt and afraid to hurt Evan feeling was flooding Aria's mind. She is not only making him disappointed, she even made him feel discarded.
"I am really worried for you, but you come back only just for that?" Evan smiled in pain. A sadness drawn in his handsome face.
Aria can only look at Evan in a long silent. Those word that coming out from Evan mouth slicing Aria heart and give her a tremendous feeling of guilt.
Evan sighed short. Ignoring disappointment that he felt, Evan walked to bookcase with 2 meter tall and take a book from there.
"Your hatred and vengeance will not make your little sister come back, Aria."
