“All the better.” Emotion filled his chest. “Kira should have siblings, don’t you think?”
“Absolutely. And this time you’ll get to enjoy each glorious second of…” She slid a finger over the muscles of his chest, and down over his stomach. The muscles contracted as shivers of sensation shot to his groin. “My labor and delivery.”
Her eyes flashed as she tossed her head, flicking her golden hair behind her shoulders.
“I’ll put up with every word of abuse you hurl at me.” He rubbed his palms over her nipples. She wriggled, enjoying the sensation. “I’ll enjoy it.”
“And when the baby cries at night…” She laid a line of kisses along his collarbone.
“I’ll call for the nurse.” He peered at her, hiding a smile.
She laughed. “You’ll go get our baby for me.”
“Unless she’s lying between us.”
“Which she probably will be.” Celia’s smile lit her lovely face. “Unless she’s a he.”
“Either one would bring me great joy.” Warmth filled his body and the rich scroll of possibilities unfolded in his mind. “As long as we’re all together.”
Heat seared him as their lips met. His erection throbbed against Celia’s soft belly, shoving all thoughts from his mind. In an instant they were on the bed, and her delicate undergarments fell to the floor. She shuddered when he entered her, and he let out a soft groan of sweet relief.
Could he really be lucky enough to have won the bride of his dreams?
The evidence lay in his arms.
Well, not exactly lay.
Before he knew what was happening she’d somehow reversed their positions and taken charge. Salim moaned aloud as she rode him hard, driving him to new heights of pleasure. Outside the window, traditional music mingled with a thumping dance beat, and revelers laughed and called to each other in many languages. He gripped Celia and moved with her, challenging her and flipping them into a third position, where each could guide their sensual dance in turn. Celia cried out as the first shocks of her orgasm crashed through her and drew them both into a realm of shuddering bliss.
“I wonder how long it’s been since someone made love here?” she rasped as they lay panting on the sheets.
He couldn’t take his eyes off her. Her golden hair sprawled on the embroidered pillow and her skin glowed in the lamplight.
“A thousand years. Maybe more.”
Her eyes sparkled. “Then we’d better get cracking. We’ve got a lot of lost time to make up for.”
He wrapped his arm around her waist and leaned in until his lips brushed her ear. “There’s no time like the present.”
