Did I Die? Page 7

by Gareth Parker

I’m floating through masses of trees; I have a feeling of tranquillity with a cool breeze on my face. I look around as I’m floating and can see nothing but trees fields and hills. The only sound I can hear is the sound of the wind gently swishing past my ears. My eyes feel wide open and feel neither fear nor pain. I don’t know where I am or where I'm going and I really don’t care. If I could stay and have this feeling forever I would. Words can’t even describe how I feel.

I feel myself rising higher and higher and feel warmer the more I rise. I look down and can see a sea of greens and blues; it’s the most beautiful sight I've ever seen in my life.

I begin to slow and start moving towards a large grey object with shapes and colours. I can hear strange sounds and feel calmer than ever. I move onto the large object and stop. I'm elevated above the surface but not moving. I see green lights slowly moving towards me which start to rotate round me faster and faster without a sound. I look down at myself and see I'm turning to some sort of glowing dust with no pain at all. Within a few seconds I'm completely gone and can’t see myself but still feel conscious.

I begin to move with the other green lights moving fast with no effort at all. I come to a small opening in the object and shoot through it like a bullet from a gun. I have no feeling and I’m just a conscious energy moving through tunnels of colours faster than I ever thought I could travel.

We come to a large opening and in the distance. I can see something that looks like an upside down water fall. I can’t help but think how beautiful this place is and I have an extreme sense of joy and love.

A large orange light appears in front of me and hear a voice in my mind.

‘It’s not time yet, you need to return.’ the voice sounded powerful and deep.

Out of the blue I can hear my mum’s voice.

‘John love, are you ok?’ The words kept repeating over and over and the orange light began to fade, as well as the place I was in.

I suddenly feel pain. Tiredness kicks in and feeling extremely sick. I open my eyes to see I'm lying in a hospital bed. I can hear people talking in the background and pressure on my left hand.

‘John dear how are you?’ Mum whispers, looking over me. I decide not to speak for the time being and give her a little smile to indicate to her that I heard her. I feel disappointed to be here and not in the strange world I was in. I wish I was back there again, feeling the feelings I felt and seeing the colours I saw.
