“Son of a bitch. I wonder if they know the lights will be out a while, or they’re just taking a crazy chance.”
“Humping like dogs in heat.”
A noise of one of the men climaxing, whimpering, came through the speaker. “One’s gone.” Ted laughed.
“So’s the other,” Bill added once they heard the second man moaning.
“Wow. Crazy shit.”
Bill’s eyes watered as he watched the man on top spin around and lie on the man on the bottom. Bet that felt good. So good.
Sitting back in his chair, Bill rubbed his eyes tiredly. “Lucky fuckers.”
“You say something?”
“No.” Bill stared at Ted. They’d been working the late shift for two months together. Five to one am. He’d been drooling over Ted’s amazing good looks and massive physique that whole time but had no idea if Ted would ever be interested in experimenting. He was scared to death that if he even suggested it, Ted would pound him. And a punch from a man as big as Ted would hurt. Badly. Not to mention, it could jeopardize their working relationship. And Bill would not do that. He adored Ted.
He knew Ted wasn’t married, but they didn’t talk much about their social lives. Mostly just sports, politics, and current events. Bill assumed Ted was a very private man since he never offered information about his social life, so Bill never prodded him to answer personal questions. There was no wedding band on Ted’s finger. Ted was an ex-cop. That was all he knew about the attractive black man.
“What should we do? Maybe walk around and see if anyone needs us?” Bill asked, trying to tame his erection and not look at the screen any longer. Just the sight of those men naked and lying prone made him both insane and jealous.
“Probably.”
As Ted was about to stand, Bill stopped him. “Look. They’re at it again.” Yeah so what. I peeked.
“No!” Ted sat back down to stare at the screen. “What are they doing this time?”
Knowing it would make him crazy, Bill couldn’t resist watching this erotic show. He leaned closer. “Screwing. Holy cow.”
“You got to be kidding! Anal sex in the elevator? I thought that shit only happened on HBO.”
“Who’s topping?” Bill chewed his bottom lip in excitement.
“Who’s what?” Ted spun around, his face a mask of curiosity. “What the hell’s ‘topping’?”
“Uh.” Bill’s face went red and hot as if he had just given away the fact that he was a lewd fan of gay porn. “Did I say that? I think I said, stopping. Who’s going to stop it?”
“If you asked me what I think you asked me,” Ted narrowed his eyes at Bill, “the cable guy’s doin’ the screwin’.”
Hoping he didn’t just give away his sexual preference, Bill continued to chew his lip nervously and stared at the action in the lift. The cable man had the second man’s legs pressed backwards and spread wide. Oh yes! Why can’t I get fucked like that?
More animalistic grunts came through the speakers.
“Look at them go.” Ted shook his head. “Unreal. Like they haven’t a care in the world. Fucking like that on the floor of a dark elevator. I swear no one will believe me if I told them.”
“Is that video camera recording the action?”
“No, it’s just surveillance. It’s on a continuous loop. Why?”
“No reason.” Bill imagined stealing a copy to view later. Oh well.
Knowing everything he was saying sounded suspect, Bill stuffed his hand in his pocket and tried to appear casual. A tiny package of lube was crushed at the bottom of it. He’d placed it in there the first week he worked with Ted. Wishful thinking. There was a condom in his wallet. Always be prepared. Not only was that motto for the Boy Scouts but for the security department as well. He touched his own hard-on through the pocket material. He was literally going mad watching these two men screwing.
“Yeah! Oh, yeah!”
“Christ, I don’t believe this.” Ted shook his head.
“It’s really hot.”
“What?” Ted spun around. “Did you just say it’s hot?”
Bill tugged at his collar. “It is a little stuffy in here.”
“Geez! I love fucking you!”
“Ha!” Ted chuckled. “You hear that? The cable guy just said he loved fucking the other guy. Looks like they liked it.”
“I suppose there’s no need to call the fire department. My guess is they won’t want to be saved.” Bill nudged his dick from under the material of his pocket. Lucky bastards.
“I agree. They’ll be wanting a nap after that. You watch.”
“Yeah. Good point.” Bill moved closer to the screen. “Yup. All tuckered out.”
“I’m amazed. Really. I mean, Billy, what if the lights came on quick? You know? What if it wasn’t the whole city and those doors opened to show off their bare white asses?” Ted laughed. “I’d be so damn embarrassed.”
Frowning, Bill asked softly, “You don’t like gay guys?”
“Huh?” Ted spun around to see Bill’s face. “Gay guys? I don’t have a problem with gay men, Billy. Why should I?”
“I don’t know. It’s nothing we’ve ever discussed.”
“Why would we discuss gay men?”
Bill was very glad it was dim in the room because he knew his face was bright red. “You want to make the rounds?”
“We should at least have a look and see if everything’s okay.”
Nodding, Bill stood and moved his chair out of the way for Ted. Ted found his flashlight and keys. “You ready, man?”
“Yeah.” Bill sighed in disappointment. Hey, you can’t always get what you want. Big deal.
He followed Ted out of their office, locking it behind them. The emergency floodlights were on in the hallways but they were still too dim to be able to see well. Everything appeared shadowy and dark.
“What do you want to check out first?” Bill paused.
“We can start in the basement and work our way up.”
“The basement.” Bill shivered. “I hate that place in the light.”
When Ted squeezed his shoulder, Bill froze at his touch. “I’m here. No need to be scared, Billy.”
“I’m not scared. It’s just that it’s creepy down there.”
“When I was twenty I was scared of the dark too.” Ted rubbed Bill’s back softly. “But when you’re thirty? And been a cop on the streets? Nuthin’ scares you anymore.”
Closing his eyes at the nice caressing, Bill asked, “I bet you wish you were still a cop.”
“No. No way.” Ted opened the door to the cellar, turning on his flashlight. “I had enough of being shot at. No thank you.”
Bill walked behind Ted down the narrow stairs. “What’s to check down here?”
“Just let me make sure the generators are working all right. We don’t need a fire.”
“Oh. Good point.” Bill was always comforted by Ted’s common sense.
As they rounded a corner in the dingy, cement claustrophobic space, the whining of the generators grew louder. Hating the atmosphere of the cellar, getting goose bumps, Bill stood back as Ted inspected them. He didn’t think he’d know the signs if one wasn’t working, other than smelling smoke.
“Are they okay?” Bill shouted over the noise. He’d watched too many slasher movies to be comfortable down here. Images of some man with a hatchet and a goalie mask jumping out at them petrified him. It made the urge to grab hold of Ted even stronger.
“Yeah. Let me just switch this last one on.” Ted pressed a button and the whirring noise grew louder. “Three should be better than two.”
“I don’t smell smoke or anything.” Bill wanted to go. He was getting the creeps.
“No. They’re pretty new. Should be okay.”
Glad for the signal from Ted to go back up the stairs, Bill took the steps two at a time. Once they were on the main floor with the door closed, Bill could hear normally again. “Hate it down there. I know there’s rats. Or worse.” He shivered. “
It’s the stuff of nightmares down there.”
Ted chuckled and nudged Bill to keep walking. “You’ve got too good of an imagination. There ain’t nuthin’ down there to be afraid of, Billy. Come on. Let’s check the stairwells.”
“Okay.” Bill opened the door as a few stragglers were leaving.
“Everything all right?” Ted asked.
“The elevators aren’t working,” one woman said. “I have no idea if anyone’s in there.”
“We got that covered,” Ted replied.
Bill could see his sly smile.
“I came from the fifth floor. Everyone’s pretty much out of their offices.”
“Great. Thank you, ma’am.” Ted nodded to her.
They began ascending the cement staircase.
Bill was behind Ted, lost on his powerful legs and round ass cheeks.
“Still with me, Billy?”
“Yup.”
“Good. If you lose me, shout.”
“I’ll keep up with you, big guy. I’m in good shape.”
“I know you are, Billy. You’re in excellent shape.”
A proud smile found Bill’s lips. He was pleased to know Ted noticed.
At each landing Ted opened the door and shined his light down the hall, once he cleared the floor, they headed up a level.
After ten flights, even Ted was panting a little. Once they got to the top, they paused to take a break. “It’s just about vacant.”
“Yes,” Bill agreed. “I suppose it’s a good thing it came at closing time on a Friday. It’s just those poor guys left stuck in the elevator.”
“Poor guys? You mean the two having the time of their lives?” Ted chuckled. “I wish I knew where that thing stopped so I could let them know they have all night to play.”
Bill started laughing. “You are so cool.”
“I’m cool. I’m cool.” Ted laughed and did a little victory dance.
The amount Bill was enamored by Ted only grew at his playful antics. “I’m so glad we work together. I mean that.”
Ted paused in his dance and met Bill’s eyes with a serious expression. “I like working with you too, Billy. You’re very easy going. You never make a fuss about anything. No whining, no complaining.”
“Why should I complain?” I have you.
“Most men do.” Ted opened the stairwell door and began their descent. “It’s just human nature.”
“But I’m happy with you.” Bill trotted down the stairwell behind him. When Ted paused, Bill plowed into him at the unscheduled stop. After he collided with Ted, which was like hitting a wall, Bill asked, “What? Why did you stop?”
It appeared Ted wanted to say something, but didn’t. After an intense stare into Bill’s eyes, Ted resumed their downward path. Bill could only wonder if he was opening his mouth too much about his feelings. After all, two guys screwing in an elevator had him worked up sexually. And he had always been hot for Ted Green.
When they hit the ground floor, Ted once again paused to catch his breath. “I feel like we’re doing wind-sprints.”
Bill laughed. “I know. Maybe we should slow down. I mean, we have until one in the morning to check the place, and other than the two lovebirds in the elevator, the building is almost empty.”
“I bet the wind is howling out there on the street.”
“Want to go back to the office and check the radio again?”
“We should. Get another peek at the outside world.”
Bill followed him back to their office. Waiting as Ted used his key, they entered the dim room, and Ted turned on the tiny portable. Bill returned to look at the monitor. Both men were dressed, standing, kissing in the corner. “Nice.”
“Hm?”
“Nothing. Anything new happening outside?”
“Still wind gusts up to ninety miles an hour. Sounds bad.”
“Anyone you need to call? You know, to make sure they’re all right?”
“No. I’m the only one here in LA.” Ted set the small transistor on the table and sat down, resting his flashlight on the counter. “What are our boys doing?”
“Necking.”
“Naked?”
“No. Dressed. I assume they thought they’d be out soon. We really should try to tell them what’s going on.”
“Give em another minute.” Ted winked. “They’re in no rush.”
Scratching his chin lazily, Bill gazed at the two men as they kissed and stroked each other. “Must be nice to be touched like that.”
“Uh huh.”
“Been a while for me.” Bill sighed.
“Why? You’re good looking. Why has it been a while?”
Bill shrugged, not turning away from the two men on the monitor, enthralled by them.
“Billy?”
At the soft tone, Bill looked over at Ted.
“Why are you alone?”
“I’m shy I guess.” Bill yawned, stretching his back. “And I have unsociable hours here. You know. Not a lot of chances to meet anyone.” Seeing Ted’s own expression droop, Bill asked, “What about you? You seeing anyone?”
“Not at the moment.”
“Then we’re both lonesome losers.” Bill turned back to the screen. “They seem so in love.”
“In lust more like.”
“I wouldn’t mind that either.”
“Yeah? Just into a sex thing? No strings attached?”
Bill paused to think about Ted’s comment. Slowly turning to face him, he examined the expression on Ted’s face carefully. “Are you asking me if I would have a sexual fling with no strings attached?”
Ted seemed to get nervous, shifting his weight from one leg to the other.
Bill lost his eye contact. “Ted?”
“I don’t know what I’m askin’. Those men have me feeling very strange at the moment.”
A rush of chills flooded Bill’s body. “Strange how?”
“I don’t know. Strange.” Ted peered back at the screen.
Bill glanced at it again. “Christ. They’re going for number three.”
Chuckling, Ted added, “They better pace themselves. They got a long night ahead.”
Closing his eyes to try and get his body under control, Bill sighed deeply. Watching the two men in the elevator was driving him insane. He had to stop.
“You all right, Billy?”
At Ted’s concerned voice, Bill peered over his shoulder at him. “It’s making me feel strange too, Ted.”
“We should shut it off. Stop watching. It’s private.” Ted reached for the switch.
Bill grasped his wrist. “Don’t. They may need help. Leave it on.” Expecting Ted to jerk back from his touch, Bill was surprised when he didn’t.
“You’re right. Just in case. I’ll leave it on.”
The soft tone surprised Bill. Still holding Ted’s arm, he pivoted to face Ted again. “It must be the crazy night…”
“What must be?”
Bill drew closer, placing Ted’s hand on his hips as he did. Immediately Ted lowered his eyes shyly, but still did not retract his hand.
“I’m expecting a punch here, Ted.” Bill panted, losing his breath as his nerves kicked in.
“I’m not going to punch you.”
“Why not?” Bill was almost near enough to press his body against Ted’s. A hair closer and they were going to be connecting more than just a hand on a hip. Clasped to Ted’s wrist, Bill inched Ted’s fingers to reach behind him, over his ass. Still Ted did not pull back or react angrily. “You beautiful motherfucker,” Bill sighed as he realized Ted was not going to strike him.
A low rumbling laugh came from deep within Ted’s chest.
“You want sex without strings?” Bill breathed in short bursts. “I can do that.”
“I don’t know what I want.”
When Ted’s dark eyes finally met his gaze, Bill melted at the power. Inhaling for the courage it would take to say his next line, Bill took a chance. Petrified he’d lose everything, but he had so much to gain if
he didn’t. He said what he never thought he would say to his handsome co-worker. “I’ve been attracted to you since the first day I set eyes on you.”
A little shake of Ted’s head, maybe in amazement, followed. After a long pause, as if Ted was considering the comment carefully, Ted whispered, “You like black men, Billy?”
“Fuck yeah. And you in particular.”
“Are you gay?”
“That’s a stupid question at the moment, Mr. Green.”
“I’ll shut up now.” Ted laughed nervously.
A second later, Ted’s fingers squeezed Bill’s ass as Ted’s hand still rested on him. It sent a rush of pleasure shooting to Bill’s cock. “It’s dark. No one’s in the building but two guys humping in the elevator.”
“And?” Ted appeared amused.
“And.” Bill boldly reached to cup Ted’s crotch. A large hard-on was under his uniform pants. “Holy Christ.”
“What are we supposed to do, Billy? You know this is insane.”
“Is it?” Bill traced his fingers along the length of Ted’s cock, feeling it pulsate. He pressed his body against Ted’s muscular chest, moving closer to his lips.
“I don’t believe this.”
Bill froze. “You want me to stop?”
“No. Yes. No.”
Bill laughed at his indecision. “Our secret.”
“Jesus. Billy…”
Slowly Bill opened the top button of Ted’s trousers. He heard Ted’s breathing accelerate. “Stop me whenever you want to.” Bill paused. Ted was not stopping him. He pinched the zipper pull and drew it downwards. The grasp on his ass tightened almost in reflex. Bill was so excited he was about to blow.
Once Ted’s slacks were open, Bill dipped his fingers into his briefs. When he made contact with his cock, Ted closed his eyes and hissed out a breath of air. “Ted…you fantastic motherfucker.”
Ted moaned softly, closing his eyes.
Moving painfully slow, Bill exposed Ted’s dick from his clothing and looked down to admire it. It was thick, long, dark and rock hard. Licking his lips, Bill began to sink to his knees.
Ted’s breathing became so audible it filled the room, he gasped for air as his nerves and excitement kicked in.
Once he was eye level with Ted’s cock, Bill rested his face against it, inhaling his scent and brushing his lips over his pubic hair.
