“Fuck, that was … goddamn perfect,” he mumbled against my neck a few seconds later when he collapsed on top of me.
I fought to catch my breath, every inch of my skin tingling with awareness of his heat—his presence still inside me. A pile of sated muscles and bones, I smiled and let my body relax, releasing my hold on his back and waist.
“Are you okay?” he asked, lifting enough to peer down at me. Mussed hair, sticking every which way, scruff lining his square jaw…
“You’re beautiful.”
He grinned. “Yeah, but how are you?”
I returned his smile. “Perfect.”
“Got that fuckin’ right.”
We laughed, our bodies still connected, our souls tethered. His smile dissolved, and he swept his thumb over my lower lip. “Tell me what you’re thinking, gorgeous.” Softened voice, but a demand none the less.
“That I found a beautiful soul, one worth holding onto for as long as he’ll have me.”
“I want you to wear my collar, Raquel.” His gaze lifted to meet mine. “Do you know what that means?”
Unable to form a word, I nodded.
“I want the world to know that while you may have tempered my wildness, you belong to me.”
Joy flooded through me, and I drew a shaky breath. “Own every part of me, Zane. Take me, brand me, and make me feel cherished as only you can.”
“Is that a yes?”
“Yes.”
“Yes … what?”
“Yes, Sir, I will gladly wear your collar.”
He grinned and shifted his hips, his length thickening inside of me.
“Again?” I asked, my arms snaking their way around his waist.
“Gorgeous, we’ve only just begun.”
