I nod and stand to my feet before grabbing Melissa’s face and kissing her hard. I want to show my brother just how happy I am. “Oh fuck is right. I’m going to be a dad and I’m happy as shit about it. Call the others in here. Now.”
Sterling’s face turns up into a proud smile. “Shit… I’m going to be an uncle.” Ignoring my orders, he comes at Melissa and kisses her hard on the top of the head. “That’s going to be one lucky kid. Us Lockes always look out for each other. You’re a Locke now too, sister.”
I smile at the happiness filling Melissa’s eyes. “Thank you, Sterling. Now go get the others.”
“Yes, ma’am. You, I’ll take orders from.” Sterling flips me the middle finger and takes off.
That dick. He’s lucky he listens to my woman at least.
I can barely keep my hands off Melissa’s stomach while waiting for everyone else to join us in the living room.
I feel as if I’m about to fucking burst with happiness and pride.
Kadence is the first to join us, followed by Wynter and then Aston, who crosses his arms and leans against the wall.
“This better be good. Kadence and I were busy.” He spins his lock around his finger, while looking over at me.
“Shut up, asshole. I don’t want you ruining our moment.”
“I’m just going to say it,” Melissa says with excitement. “Ace and I are having a baby. You’re all going to be aunts and uncles.”
Kadence is the first to react. She runs at Melissa and throws her arms around her. “I’m so happy for you guys. I knew it. I knew you and Ace would end up together. You have no idea how happy I am for you.”
I look over to see Aston finally push away from the wall. His lips curve up into a smile as he tosses his lock aside and walks over to pick Melissa up and kiss her on the lips.
“Hey, asshole. Don’t make me cut those bitches off.”
Before I can get too upset with Aston for kissing my woman, Kadence laughs and punches him on the arm while we watch Wynter attack Melissa with a hug.
Everyone is surrounding us now, everyone happier than I’ve ever seen them, and I know without a doubt that our baby will be happy and loved.
We’re a family.
We’re the Lockes.
We play hard, destroy even harder, but most of all… we love with everything in us…
