Crave: A Reverse Harem Romance Page 9

by Roma James

“Nope.” I shrugged. “Just me, myself, and I.”

“Well, that’s incredible. Congratulations on all your success.”

“Thanks, I appreciate it,” I said, and I did. It felt nice coming from her. Well, everything that she said pretty much sounded nice.

I didn’t get a lot of people who took an interest in my personal life and story. It was nice to talk to someone like this. For a moment, I even forgot that I had been trying so desperately to hook up with her. I was starting to see her as… I didn’t know. Just… she was interesting.

For once, it was more than a sexual interest for me.

We pulled up to her house and I actually found myself feeling disappointed. It should have been the opposite. Pulling up to her house gave me an opportunity to try to seduce her. Shouldn’t I have been happy about that?

  I normally would be.

What was I even doing here? Was I actually sad about potentially hooking up with a woman because I’d rather be talking to her?

“Well, thank you very much for the ride,” she said, as my driver opened up her door for her.

“Wait,” I said quickly. “Let me walk you to the door.”

She nodded, and I saw a soft smile form. “Sure, okay.”

Her house was quaint. Pretty small, really. I was guessing it was only one or two bedrooms, and probably not very big rooms at that. But it reminded me of the house I grew up in, which was also painted a simple blue. It was homey, calming… I liked it.

I put my hand on the small of her back again as we stepped up the walkway. She didn’t seem to mind. In fact, I think she kind of liked it.

When we got to the door, she sighed.

“Thank you very much for taking me home… and for protecting me tonight from that fucking creep. I don’t know where I’d be tonight without you. Maybe not even alive.”

“Of course. I wouldn’t let anyone hurt you.”

She extended her hand to mine. “Well, Diesel, it’s been lovely getting to meet you. Like, for real this time.”

I took her hand. “You know, we just saved each other’s lives tonight, so a handshake isn’t going to cut it.”

I pulled her in by her hand and pressed my lips against hers. She responded exactly how I expected, not only kissing me back passionately but suddenly going weak in the knees.

I held her body up as I pulled my mouth away from her briefly. “What do you say we get back in my car for a bit? Do a little driving around.”

She nodded slowly and I put my mouth back on hers before scooping her up effortlessly in my arms. I lifted her and began carrying her back to my car, where once again, my driver had the door opened for us.

I carefully got in, still kissing her as I did. I never broke away. I didn’t want to, she tasted so damn good, it was hard not to wonder how she tasted elsewhere.

I leaned against her, pushing her back against the seat where I could get on top of her. I was running my hand gently down her body, feeling her curves over her clothes. She moaned softly into my mouth, and I could feel my cock getting hard in response.

She was the hottest fucking woman I’d ever seen. God, the things I was going to do to her. I wanted to please her, to make her come. I wanted to hear her call out my name.

Her tongue was pressed up against mine, and I explored her mouth. I began to slowly put my hand inside her dress, right at her thigh, giving her a chance to stop me if she didn’t want me to go any higher.

She didn't stop me. She allowed my hand to keep traveling until I’d reached her panties. They felt lacy, sexy.

I wrapped my finger around the side where her hip met her panties, and I began to slowly pull them down. They slid down her thigh smoothly, and I glanced down to see that not only were they lacy, but they were red. Fuck, I loved red fucking panties. It was a thing of mine.

Now I really wanted to taste her.

I took my mouth off of hers, pulling away and inching down. I’d enjoyed her tongue, but I was desperate for more.

Before I could lift up her dress, I pushed the button that put up a tinted black window between us and the driver.

She looked at me. “You use that button a lot, huh?”

I gave a crooked smile. “Maybe once or twice before. Does that bother you?”

She shook her head slowly. “No, actually… I think it’s kinda hot.”

“Good. Because I think you’re really hot. I’ve wanted you from the moment I laid eyes on you.”

I could see the excitement building on her face as I went back down to the bottom of her dress and began to pull it up.

Her pussy looked divine. Completely shaven, and perfect for… well, exactly what I intended to do.

I could feel my erection rising in my pants as I moved my head toward her, keeping my hands on her thighs. Slowly, I began to lick right down her closed slit, pushing her lips apart so I could get my tongue deep inside her.

She gasped as my tongue hit her clit, and I could feel her thighs tense up against me. I was so fucking hard, and I hadn’t even seen her fully naked. I was just so turned on by the way she seemed to be enjoying herself.

I began to run little circles around on her clit, and she started to shift underneath me. I could tell she was unable to handle the level of pleasure I was giving to her, so I had to pin her legs down with my hands. And as I did, I began to slide my tongue down to her opening where I inserted it as deep as it could possibly go.

That really made her fucking squirm.

I didn’t let up, just continued to tongue-fuck her relentlessly. I slid one of my hands up her thigh and to her clit, so I could keep the intensity going as my tongue was deep inside her. I put my elbow on her thigh to keep her from moving. She started moaning loudly as soon as my fingers found her clit, and I knew she was close.

It was less than a minute later when I felt her legs begin to tremble wildly next to mine. She had the back of my head in her hands, and she was gripping my hair tightly. She yelled out in ecstasy, and I made sure not to stop tongue-fucking her until the yelling stopped. I wanted to keep pleasing her right through her orgasm.

I finally pulled away once she let go of her grip on my hair, and she looked down at me with wide eyes, her hair mussed as she braced herself against the seat.

“Oh my God, that was… amazing,” she said, smoothing a hand over her hair.

“You’re amazing,” I said, meaning it. Just seeing her like this, knowing that she had enjoyed it, was so fucking sexy.

“I guess I should… return the favor?” she said seductively, as she sat up and reached over to me.

  Oh, hell yeah.

My cock throbbed as I imagined her mouth on my cock. I wanted to look down at that gorgeous face as she bobbed on top of me…

She began running her hands up and down my cock over the top of my pants, and I could feel my heartbeat quicken in anticipation.

Right then, my phone began to buzz in my pocket. Only someone from work would call me at this time of night.

I threw my head back in frustration. “I’m sorry. I have to take this. Give me just a second?” I asked her.

“Absolutely,” she said, sitting back in her seat. “I’m not going anywhere.”

God, she was so fucking gorgeous.

Although it was more than that for me. I couldn’t explain it… but this girl gave me weird feelings that I didn’t know how to identify. Even after we hooked up, I was hoping that we’d be able to keep talking. That I could learn more about her.

“Hello?” I answered the phone. “This had better be fucking good.”

It was one of my security guards, Bruno. “You need to get back here immediately,” he said, his voice urgent.

  “Why? What’s wrong?” I asked.

“That guy from the alley? He’s hurt pretty fucking bad. Now the cops want to talk to you. They want to hear your side of the story.”

“Fantastic…” I sighed. “Okay, I’ll be right there.”

  Of course this would hap
pen right now.

“Sorry, beautiful, we’re going to need to take a rain check,” I told Harlow as I began to roll the window down between us and my driver. “We have to get back to Crave,” I told him.

Guess I was going to be dealing with a fun case of blue balls tonight.

  Chapter 12 - Harlow

I went back to the club with Diesel, trying to hide my disappointment that we hadn’t gotten to do more tonight. But whatever he got called back to the club for, it seemed important. I could see the stress on his face.

At first, I hadn’t asked. It felt out of turn. But as we got closer to the club, I couldn’t hold back my curiosity.

“What’s going on?” I asked Diesel.

“It’s that guy… the one we called the cops for.” He seemed fidgety.

“What about him? I thought your security team was going to handle it.”

“Me, too. I mean, they did. The police came and everything. But I guess the guy was hurt pretty badly.”

  “How badly?” I asked.

  “His, uh, skull was cracked.”

“Oh my God…” I muttered, my eyes wide. Had I killed a guy tonight?

As if reading my mind, Diesel then added, “He’s not dead. He’s just badly hurt. And now the police want to talk to me, to get my side.”

My heart began to quicken. I was the one who had cracked his skull, though. Was I going to get in trouble? I mean, it was completely in self-defense. The guy was dragging me out of the club to do who knows what with me.

What if the cops didn’t believe that? My anxiety was rising.

Diesel could definitely tell. Then again, it was probably pretty obvious. I was bobbing my right leg up and down like a madwoman.

“Hey, hey, relax,” Diesel told me. “It’s going to be okay.”

“What if it’s not?” I asked him. “What if they, like, take me to jail? What if I get arrested? God, the worst law I’ve broken until tonight was speeding by ten miles, and now I might go to jail?”

“You are not going to go to jail, Harlow.” He took his hand in mine, and I was surprised by how protective he felt. “I promise you. Look, you don’t even have to worry. I’ll take the fall with the police, okay? I’ll say I’m the one who hit him.”

“What? But… why would you do that?” I asked.

It was going to look way worse for him to have hit the guy than me. He wasn’t the one who was about to be assaulted. It wouldn’t look like self-defense for him. No doubt the cops were going to be way harder on him than me.

“Because I don’t like seeing you panic like this. Relax, I’ve got this.”

His driver pulled up to the club and parked.

I shook my head wildly. “No, Diesel, you can’t. It’s fine, don’t worry about it. I don’t want you to get in trouble.”

He smiled at me as he stepped out of the car quickly. “Don’t worry, Harlow. I’ve got this.”

He shut the door behind him, not letting me out right away. No doubt this was to give himself some time to go in and speak to the police before I could. I panicked as soon as he shut it.

It took me a bit to actually wriggle out of my seat. I was in heels, and the dress kept sticking a little bit to the leather. I crawled my way out of the car and opened the door, seeing that Diesel had been rushing and was already inside.

More panic rose up inside me.

No matter how afraid I was about how the police were going to react to my story, I absolutely wouldn’t have allowed Diesel to take the fall. I still didn’t even understand why he wanted to. We had just met, for crying out loud. Why was he willing to do this for me?

I rushed into Crave, trying not to trip over myself. Since I’d been coming to Crave in outfits like this so often lately, I had become a little smoother in high-heeled shoes. But I hadn’t tried running in them yet, and it was a bit of a struggle.

The guy at the door tried to stop me. “Hey, you can’t just walk in there—” he muttered.

“I’m with Diesel,” I responded, surprising myself with how calm and assertive I sounded. This was definitely a new side of me that had come along with being more sexually adventurous lately.

He only nodded in response, allowing me through with no problem.

When I got in, my eyes scanned the club for Diesel. I saw him over to the far right, off in a dimly lit corner, and he was already speaking to two cops.

I rushed over, catching the tail end of his sentence. Diesel looked surprised to see me there so fast.

“Well, after I swung at him and he let the woman loose, he was pretty pissed. I didn’t hit him again, I was only trying to get him off of her, but he swung more and we got into a bigger scuffle.”

“And who was the woman?” one of the cops asked.

“Me,” I spoke up. It was the perfect moment for me to jump into the conversation so that I could keep Diesel from saying what he wanted.

One of the officers looked at me. “And your name?”

  “Harlow Grey,” I told him.

“Can you tell me in your own words what happened tonight?” he asked.

“Yeah, of course. I came to Crave tonight with a friend of mine.” I considered whether or not to include the part where I hooked up with Ryker, but it seemed pretty irrelevant, so I just left it out. “I was going to meet her at the dance floor, but this guy came up and grabbed me. He started dragging me out toward the back exit of the club that led to the alleyway and I was kicking and yelling for him to let me go, but he refused. Nobody could hear me over the loud music, but then, right as he had stepped the both of us outside, Diesel here came running and punched him in the face. I was able to get away, so I went back inside but realized that one of my shoes had come off. When I went back out to get it, I saw the two of them were on the ground and the guy who attacked me was punching Diesel ruthlessly. He was about to smash a bottle over his head, so I grabbed this pipe and hit him over the head with it. And he just… fell.”

There. Take that, Diesel. There was nothing he could say now.

Of course, my heart was speeding as I waited for some judgment from the officer. Was I going to get in trouble for this?

Thankfully, no judgment came. “Okay,” he said as he wrote it down.

“I really didn’t want to hurt the guy,” I told him. “I just didn’t want him to hurt Diesel.”

“Don’t worry,” the other cop said. “It seems like self-defense to us. We just needed to get a straight story about what happened.”

  I nodded nervously.

“Can we just get your phone number and address?”

I nodded and gave it to them, trying to hide my fear as I did. I was scared that if I seemed too nervous, it’d come off as dishonesty.

“Can we speak to you alone now?” one of the cops asked Diesel.

“Of course,” Diesel answered, giving me a sideways glance that expressed some disappointment.

Well, he could be disappointed all he wanted. I had probably just kept him out of jail.

I went and sat at the bar as I nervously waited for Diesel to finish up with them. A bartender walked up to me with a smile.

“What can I get for you?” he asked.

“Oh… nothing,” I said softly. “Maybe a water?”

“Water it is,” he said politely as he scooped some ice into a glass.

I hadn't realized until this moment just how thirsty I was. So much had happened in so little time. I had hooked up with Ryker, I was almost kidnapped by some rapist freak, I met Diesel—well, officially met him, I guess—and then I made out with him and had let him go down on me in his car. And after all of that, this was how the night was going to end? It really was crazy to think that this was my life now.

It seemed like every night I spent at Crave was a whirlwind. What was it about this place? It was like an action-packed, thrilling romance novel all on its own.

I had to admit, as insane as this night had been, I was already thinking about the next scene in my book. Maybe the love interest w
ould save the heroine in a dramatic fight where he also offered to take the blame with the police.

Maybe in the book, I’d actually allow him to take the blame.

I watched as Diesel nodded to the cops and then made his way over to me. I downed the rest of my water, trying to keep calm.

“What did they say?” I asked.

“Not much, they seem to think it’s a pretty clear-cut case of self-defense. They just wanted to hear my version of events and they took down my contact info. Looks like we’re both in the clear.”

I breathed a sigh of relief.

“I really would have taken the blame for you, you know.”

“I know. I could see that. But I just don’t understand why.”

He was about to answer me when I heard a familiar voice come up from behind me.

“What the hell happened?” It was Axel. So I guess he was here at the club tonight, after all. Maybe he had arrived after my near-kidnapping incident.

I turned around to see Ryker was with him, both making their way to us. Each of them changed facial expressions when they saw me, though I couldn’t really read them.

“It’s a long story,” Diesel said.

“Did you seriously crack a dude’s skull?” Axel asked. “That’s what the security team is saying.”

“Actually, I did,” I spoke up. All three men had their eyes on me.

Diesel continued to explain. “Some creep tried to take her. He grabbed her arm and started pulling her out of the club.”

I saw instant rage across both of their faces. Now, that was an expression that was not hard to read in the slightest.

“What the fuck?” Ryker slammed his hand down on the bar. I was surprised, I hadn’t seen him as anything but coolheaded before this. Even on the night my drink had been spiked, he had seemed pretty relaxed. You definitely couldn’t describe him as relaxed right now.

“I saw them, though,” Diesel continued, “and I punched the guy. He let go of her, and she was able to get inside.”

“So how did his skull end up cracked, then?” Axel asked. This time, it wasn’t in the same accusatory way he had first questioned Diesel. Now it seemed like more of a curiosity.

“I walked back outside because I’d lost one of my heels. Diesel was out there fighting with the guy, and the guy was punching him. I grabbed a nearby pipe and when he reached for a bottle to smash over Diesel’s head, I hit him with it.”
