‘My magic is elemental and works with all magic, I can feel it in me now. It is new just been born in me for it is looking at every part of me. It can make me stronger, it is a good feeling. Your magic is new to you as well.’ The feelings he conveyed to Aura made her happy.
Aura looked at Angel with a new light in her eyes, a new understanding for he can help her with her magic. ‘Can you can help me learn my magic and I can help you with yours. We can learn together, yes?’
Angel looked at her with a big smile on his face. ‘We can for a wizard is going to show me how to relax and feel my magic, to control it. Then I can show you and we can learn together.’
They sat in the cave just talking getting to know each other, just being close to one another. Angel could tell they had bonded like the Dragon Riders do to their dragons. He knew he would give his life for her and she would do the same for him. They were bonded.
‘Aura you know that we are now bonded together forever, I could not ride or be with another dragon now or ever. I will protect you and look after you, can you feel this?’
She could feel his mind speech was getting stronger. ‘I feel the bond very deep and the magic feels it to, it is the magic that brought us together and Grandfather is not going to like it one bit, but it is to late now. I am going to have to think about how to tell him, but not for a while as I am going to have to be strong when I tell him.’
They found it was starting to get late and he had told his mother he would not be climbing long. Angel went out to the front of the cave and told Aura he would go just in case his mother was out looking for him. They said there good byes and Angel headed back home.
The next day found Gavrie at their door and Angels lessons were about to start. Gavrie had been showing him exercises for two days and stayed with them while he was doing this. The exercise was a type of meditation, that involved him sitting in a comfortable position and letting his mind follow the flow of magic. When it got stuck he had to learn how to free the block and then follow on to the next block.
It was hard and took a lot of concentration to master it. Being told I have to follow the magic. It was easy for the start because the flow follows the nerves, but as I followed I kept going deeper right down to as far as I can go. Gavrie said to follow the main lines but I kept going for it felt right.
Angel found it hard and was getting distracted very easy, he needed to do this with Aura but till Gavrie went home he had to stay put. Gavrie told him till he could show he could follow the flow longer than he was doing he was going to stay around. So Angel had to concentrate on what he was doing so he could get rid of him. He didn’t want to tell Gavrie he was going deep so made out he was doing the channels Gavrie had said to do.
Gavrie finely went home after two solid days of working with Angel. Telling him that he would be back in four days and he wanted an improvement. ‘Angel this is the most important exercise in magic, until you can follow the flow of magic, your magic will not be strong. You must practice.’
‘I’ll try Gavrie so that you will not be disappointed.’ Speaking as he walked Gavrie down to where Tish and Nightwing were waiting.
Now I can see if Aura is up in the cave as mum will not be back at lest till late evening. I can show her what I’ve learnt and we can work together. The feeling of her being close is not there so I hope she comes soon. I’ll wait and see if she comes, anyway I can practice up there.
The climb to the cave takes him the rest of the morning as Tish and Gavrie left just after breakfast. The cave is quite and there is no sign that Aura had been in here. He finds a place to sit at the front of the cave and relaxed himself.
Angel had been there for a short time when a feeling came over him in the middle of clearing a block.
‘Aura you are coming, I can feel you near. Aura can you hear my mind, Aura?’ I must try harder concentrate on her, maybe if I pictured her in my mind it might help, here goes. Now picture her when we were flying together, concentrate now try again. ‘Aura can you hear my mind?’
Then all of a sudden she was speaking to him. ‘Angel not so loud, you are yelling at me, just relax.’ Angel tried to relax a little as she spoke to him.
‘I will be there soon; this is wonderful you can talk to me like this it will make things so much easier. I can see the cave now so stand back.’ Speaking in his mind, a sense of extreme joy.
Angel moved to the side of the cave as she landed, just at the mouth of the cave. He ran to her speaking normally. ‘Aura it worked I tried and it didn’t work then I pictured us when we were flying and I concentrated on that picture and next minute you could hear me.’
‘Yes and you nearly deafened me, how did you do that?’
‘I think it’s the new mind exercises I am being taught. You can learn them to; I can show you as it is good for the magic inside you.’ This time he spoke with his mind and found it a little easier.
Angel and Aura found a place at the front of the cave over looking the great valley so far below. They could see in the distance the ocean and a great mountain on the peninsula. Angel pointed out to Aura that just at the bottom of the mountain was the Wizard School in Nirvana where he will learn to use his magic.
‘There I will learn and what I learn you can learn for I will show you, as I can show you what a wizard has shown me. Now relax and feel the magic inside you now feel how the magic follows the path of the nerves in our bodies. But there are places that stop it and places where it has to squeeze through. We must free these areas where it is blocked and where it has to squeeze through. To do this we use the magic itself and change the magic a little to clean the path so the magic runs smooth and free.’ As he spoke he showed her mind what he had learnt.
They sat there for the rest of the day working with their magic until Angel had to get home. As Angel went to go Aura spoke. ‘My grandfather is very angry with me and has forbidden me to come here but, I didn’t listen to him so I will stay here in the cave for a few days before going back to speak with him.’
'Will you need me to bring you some food or will you catch it yourself?’ Coming up to her as he could feel the pain of what her grandfather had said to her.
‘I will be ok as I have eaten and will not need any for a couple of days.’ She moved to the mouth of the cave as she finished speaking and looked out over the great valley.
‘I will come as soon as my mother and brothers have left in the morning, but we will be able to talk with each other now that I can use the mind speech. You will not be alone for now we are truly together as Rider and Dragon should be.’ This last he spoke in her mind, still a little rough but he would get better as the days go bye.
Angel got home just before his mother. ‘Mum do you know if Rho and Etha will be home tonight?’
Tish was smiling as she came up to Angel. She could see he was really happy, a happiness she not seen since he was able to play with the young dragons. Gravies’ lessons must be giving him joy in his new found magic. ‘No they have to stay over at the Riders School as they are showing the young Dragon Riders some new skills. So they will not be home for a couple of days and you know what they’re like when they show their skills to the young, they love it. So it’s just us for the next few days.’ Giving him a hug, as she finished telling him of his brother's love for teaching.
‘Angel your mother really loves you.’ Speaking to Angels mind as Tish spoke to him.
This made Angel jump at witch made his mother a bit concerned. ‘Angel what’s wrong are you ok?’
‘I’m fine must be the magic, as I’m still not use to it, so don’t worry.’ He still had a surprised look on his face as he told her.
‘Aura you can feel my mother here or can you see her?’ Still in his mothers arms as he spoke to Aura.
‘I can see through you, what you are seeing I am seeing, I think it is because you are still tuned into me from showing me how to follow the magic.’ There was a sense of amazement in her thoughts.
‘Angel, you’re sure yo
u are ok, you’re standing there with a silly look on your face and staring into space?’ A worried look on her face, after seeing him jump not long before.
I better think of something to tell mum or this is going to get awkward. I will have to say it’s the magic as that’s what I told her before so this will have to be the same. I’ll tell her that and go quickly before she starts to really worry.
‘I’m fine as I said before the magic is new to me and I’ve been practicing all day and I’m a bit tired, so I think I will go to bed.’ He gave her a hug as he said this just to reassure her.
Angel went to his room with thoughts on what just happened. I’m going to have to be careful what I do and we’re going to have to make sure we break the link we have each time.
‘Yes, we must be careful, shell we break the link now or do you want to practice some more?’
‘You enjoyed that didn’t you, and you just about got me in trouble. You just caught me completely by surprise, even though I think I enjoyed it as well. It’s a good feeling, as I can see that you are looking out over the great valley. I think it might be time to break the link and go back to the mind talk for now.’ Angel had got into bed as he spoke, just laying there looking into nothing.
The following day found Tish staying around just to make sure Angel was ok after last night. This was a bit annoying but there was not much he could do about it. So this day they had to work with their magic away from each but linked with the minds.
The following day Tish left early not telling Angel why, but just saying she had to go and that’s all she would say as she headed down to Nightwing. The next minute they were in the air and away. Angel was surprised for her to be like this. Well at lest it would give Aura and himself time together with their magic. He found it better when they were with each other.
He climbed up to the cave where Aura sat waiting for him. They sat at the entrance to the cave and looked out over the valley. Angle’s house was down and to right but they could not see it from where they were. Aura could see Angel was a bit distracted.
‘Why do you look that way?’
Angel looked at her with a smile. ‘It’s ok I’m just worried about mum as she was very quick to leave this morning and she would not tell me why. I suppose she had to go to meet other Riders. I just don’t know and it was the way she looked at me. There was a worried look on her face.’
‘She didn’t go to the Riders School or in that direction, she left going out to that mountain you showed me where you will go to learn magic. I saw her fly that way when I came out to the entrance of the cave. She rides a beautiful black dragon.’
‘Why would she being going back to the Wizard School, she would of told me if Gavrie was coming. He said he would not be back for several days, and just to keep up with the exercise he gave me. I’ll ask mum when she gets back, shell we practice and see how deep we can go with the flow of magic?’
They got the whole day in before Angel thought it might be time for him to get home just encase Tish got back before him.
Angel got their meal on and Aura was talking to him. ‘I’ll have to go see Grandfather soon or he’ll worry about me.’ She stopped talking for a moment and then started again. ‘Your mother comes and she is carrying someone with her, but she is fighting her dragon coming in. What is wrong with her dragon is he not well.’
‘No he’s fine, mum is carrying a wizard, and that is how they react around them. Mum must be bringing Gavrie but why didn’t she tell me, it’s not like her. I don’t understand, what’s wrong.’ Angel was getting worried as he spoke with Aura.
‘You’ll find out soon, would you like me to stay with your mind when they enter?’
‘Yes stay and we will see what’s going on, she comes now.’ There was a hint of fear in his mind.
Tish and Gavrie came in and called Angel over. ‘Angel I went and told Gavrie what happened as you were talking to me last night, I was worried about you.’ She still had that look on her face she feared the magic was not working for him.
Gavrie came over and stood in front of him. ‘Angel is what your mother told me true and was there more you have not told her, I need to know?’
Angel was panic stricken but, tried not to show it to much. ‘I’m ok mum, Gavrie I had been practicing all day what you showed me and I guess it might have been a bit much. I have practiced a little bit today but not as much as yesterday and I feel good.’
Aura was their in his mind giving him support as she could sense this was a very tense moment for Angel. ‘It is alright I’m here with you, just relax and we will see what’s going to happen.’
Gavrie spoke before Angel could say anything more. ‘Angel I have decided that you must come to the Nirvana now and not in two years. I am going to have to keep an eye on you as we have never before had someone who was going to be a Dragon Rider and instead become a wizard. Don’t worry as we have just been told there are three others whose magic has come on them early. You four will be together in a special class, one we have never had before. Having four whose magic has come on them early is unheard of so we must create a special class for you all.’
There was shock on Angels face as he was told this. ‘But I want to stay home here and learn.’
Aura could feel the pain and shock and quickly tried to calm him. ‘Angel it will be alright I can follow and find a place where we can be close and I will always be here with you in mind. There must be caves in the mountains by Nirvana and if what you tell me of dragons not wanting to go anywhere near wizards then I will be able to fly around and not have the worry of being seen. This will be good won’t it?’ She could feel the panic recede.
They could see Angel was calming down and relaxing. ‘It will be good at Nirvana for you and to have others your age to learn with.’ Gavrie told him and Tish as well, for he could see Tish was worried about Angel and how he had reacted.
‘When will I be going to the Nirvana and will I have time to get my things together?’ He was still a little worried and showed it in his voice.
Tish spoke before Gavrie could. ‘I will take Gavrie back to the school where he will get things set up for you and the others so you will have all of tomorrow at home with me and your brothers as they will be home later tonight. Is that ok with you?’
‘Yes that’ll be good as I would like to see Rho and Etha before I went. I think I will go to my room and see what I am going to take with me.’ He left for his room, leaving them with a satisfied look on there faces.
Entering his room he did not look behind and closed the door. ‘Aura are you sure you will be able to keep from being seen when we go to the school. As I don’t know if there will be other dragons close?’
‘I’ll be ok as I can stay well back for I have the link with you that will show me the way. I will find a place to stay and then I’ll go see grandfather as he’ll be worried.’
Angel and Aura were very quite, for both knew they were going to be in a new place and would both need each other. Things were changing in there lives, big things and this made them think of what was to come.

Nirvana
It was beautiful out this morning but my mind was on other things, Nirvana being one and Aura the other. Rho and Etha are both coming, I think mainly because mum has been to the school quite a lot lately and Nightwing is starting to get upset. She thinks with Rho and Etha’s dragons along he’ll be more relaxed
Aura’s going to follow well back with three dragons taking me. I’ve told her when we get to the school she should look to go up and around the mountain and come in from the other side where she should be able to find a cave. ‘Are you there Aura? I’m a bit nervous this morning and knowing you’re there will make me feel better’.
‘I’m here Angel; I will stay till you are well away and then follow along the hills, just keeping you in sight.’ Angel could tell by her voice in his mind she was just as nervous as he was.
They had an early meal and were almost ready to go. Tish
being just as nervous as Angel had taken Gavrie back yesterday and had only been able to spend half the day with Angel. She had wanted another day but Gavrie wanted him at the school as soon as possible.
‘Angel are you ready and have you got every thing you need as I’ll be a couple of days before I can get back to the school?’ Her voice almost betrayed the nerves she held at bay.
‘Come on lets go I need to leave now.’ This time the tear ran down Angels face and caught on his lip.
They all walked down to the dragon cave and there all three dragons waited. As Angel entered the cave the dragons turned and looked at him.
They are not sure of me, they sense I have changed but remember all the good times we had together. I can see the look in their eyes, not understanding with there being magic here but the only ones here being us. They want to rebel against it but don’t want to hurt me.
I cause them confusion and discomfort when I am around them. I don’t want this for them but I must get to the school. ‘Mum can we hurry as I am confusing the dragons and I don’t like it?’
She mounted Nightwing with Angel hopping up beside her, while Rho and Etha mounted their dragons.
‘If we’re ready lets go.’ Tish looked at Angel, as she felt the little shiver run through him.
The dragons all lifted at the same time and were out in one fluid motion.
Aura watched them go and waited till they were out of sight and lifted herself following along the edge of the mountains flying low and close so as not to be seen.
‘Angel, are you ok you feel sad?’ She could sense the final link now broken with the Dragon Riders.
‘I’m ok Aura there is now no turning back, I’m starting a new life but I have a new friend who comes with me into that life. You more than make up for losing my old life. It’s now just you and me, as well as my mother and brothers when they are around. A sad note to his voice but she could feel the excitement in him for the new life.
