“Red or white wine?” I asked. “Or something else?”

“Red works just fine.” She smiled but the roaming of her eyes all around the room, confirmed, Ms. Wade was a little nervous.

Quickly retrieving and pouring the wine in two glasses, I returned to sit on the loveseat situated catty corner to the one Bethany occupied. I extended the glass toward her, which she took from me and immediately took a long sip.

“The talk?” I reminded her before I sipped from my glass. “How was your date?”

Her eyes met mine and then she smiled.

“It was a bit short,” she said with ease. “He was perfect. I think Le One got it right on the money.”

Her words had me leaning forward like a lion ready to mark its territory.

“That so?” I asked. “Why are you here?”

Her eyes cast downward when she said, “My car sort of drifted here. Well, after I told him what I just told you. But I added that someone else had already staked their claim. He nodded and said I should go find that gentlemen and tell him. So, I’m here.”

Bethany held up her glass and took a quick sip of the red wine.

  “Come here,” I ordered her.

One of her eyebrows raised as she took me in and those assessing eyes looked the length of me.

“I want to share something with you but I don’t want to do it with you so far away.”

Bethany looked at her purse and then she gracefully rose and sauntered over to me. When she was about to sit down next to me, I twisted her hips and pulled her down on top of my lap.

  “Cole,” she gasped.

Extending my legs out, brought her down lower, but she was still seated higher than me. My head tilted up toward her while my hands caressed her thigh. I said, “My date went the same way. She was good on paper, I’m sure but at the end she said, ‘You have eyes for another.’ Then I asked her if it was possible for everything to be right. Like you just connect with them and she informed me it was. She and her first husband had that instant connection. He was killed after six years of marriage but she was almost certain they would have been a happily ever after. So, she…” my hand moved up to her stomach. “Said I should definitely take the plunge and boy did I drive home as fast as I could. Wanted to see you. Touch you. Kiss you.”

My hand continued to run along her stomach until her arm wrapped around my shoulders. She was relaxing and those warm brown eyes were on mine, heating up every blood cell in my body.

“That’s all you want to do?” Bethany asked as she scooted in my lap, right over the steel appendage under my pants.

“Sweetheart,” I groaned as my nose grazed hers. “I’m not sure what you can handle right now.”

She abruptly stood up in front of me and said, “Your concern should never be what a woman, over forty in the peak of their sexual prime, can handle. On top of that, I heard I was staying until the morning. Were you planning to make it a Netflix evening or something two consenting adults could indulge in?”

That had me on my feet and in one swoop, I had her off of hers and in my arms.

Bethany yelped but grabbed onto me releasing a flirty laugh.

“You’re right.” I kissed her lips before I started to move to my room. “I did tell Val all night and I don’t watch Netflix.”

The woman giggled the entire time I carried her to my room, placed her on the bed and began stripping her of every article of clothing on her until she was bare before me. Bethany’s eyes were low and filled with fire, as I removed my clothes and climbed on the bed.

“You really don’t watch Netflix?” Bethany asked while scooting toward the headboard.

Instantly, I grabbed her ankle, pulling that beautiful body down and underneath me. The look on Bethany’s face told me what she wanted. The hardness of my cock, told me what I needed but the beating of my heart spoke more.

“No,” I sighed as I leaned in to kiss those burgundy colored lips full well knowing her lipstick would be on me but not a single care bothered me about that. I wanted it all over me. I went from her mouth to her slender neck, down the curve of her breast and the valley of her stomach.

Bethany’s hands interlocked with the locks of my hair while the ballsy woman pushed me to my destination, past her neatly manicured patch of hair to a wet pussy.

  Shit.

  She was wet for me.

I wrapped my arms around her waist, effectively pulling her into me so my mouth could meet her sweet snatch. The moan that escaped her made my cock spring forward threatening to release. It had been awhile, but I was no teenager with his first girl. Instead of focusing on the threat, I plunge forward with my tongue just so I could hear her guttural response.

“Cooooole,” Bethany called out my name as she twisted her hips around my tongue with a firm grip on my hair.

In response, I pushed in further before I latched on to her pearl. That action had Bethany’s fingers pulling tightly on my hair and the realization I needed to grab a condom before I lost all good sense.

The woman was exquisite in every way and that taste was not only addictive but filling me in ways I was not able to comprehend at the time.

Bethany wrapped her legs around my waist, accepting every part of me and welcoming me into her. Her arms were also in a tight lock around my neck as she met me stroke for stroke. The tingling started at the back of my neck until it ricocheted down my back and finally released through my cock in an earth-shattering moment.

My body descended to rest on Bethany’s and like she was made for me, the woman enveloped me in a tighter embrace. Her fingers ran across my damp back in a circular motion.

“Wow,” Bethany sighed in my ear.

“Yeah,” I uttered, my face was in her neck.

Once I regained my strength, I leaned up on my arms and searched for her dodging eyes.

“Bethany,” I called. “What are you thinking?”

She scoffed and replied, “I’m thinking I’ll be sore in the morning.”

This caused me to laugh and take her lips in a long kiss.

“We haven’t even started yet?” I smiled, then turned and disposed of the condom. “I want to see what a woman over forty and in the peak of her prime is capable of doing to a man.”

One of her perfectly arched eyebrows rose, when she said, “You sure about that, buddy?”

  “Hell yeah.” I laughed.

She nodded with a tilt near the corner of her mouth.

“Okay, you get that condom ready and I’ll be right back.” She pointed toward the bathroom. “I’d like to use the ladies room quickly.”

“Mmkay.” I pecked her lips before I moved from on top of her.

Bethany stayed in the bathroom for less than a minute and then she returned to the bed but she did not climb back on.

  “What?” I asked.

“Nothing, just trying to figure out if I want you to growl or howl?” She put a knowing smirk on her face and slowly crawled across the bed until she reached me.

I’d be lying if I did not say I was a little scared but more turned on. A woman that could take me and talk shit. I swear I’d marry her if she could even remotely back up what she was spewing.

My cock was already hard but grew harder as she prowled to me like a lioness on the hunt.

  “Fuck, come here,” I grunted.

“Patience.” She teased as one of her hands slid up my leg to my thigh and eventually to my cock.

She gripped my latex covered manhood and squeezed. A hiss escaped from me as pleasure coursed through my entire body. Then she said, “I’ll meet him up close and personal another time.”

  Holy shit.

One of Bethany’s thigh slid on one side and the other encased me with her wet, hot heat hovering over my raging cock.

“Bethany, sweetheart, if you don’t do something, I’m going to blow,” I warned.

“Shh, Cole. I got this.” She twirled her hips around like a burlesque dancer and that was the only hint I got she was about to
make me growl and howl.

Once her heat engulfed all of me, she sat down with her mouth slightly parted and we stared at one another. It was as if all was right in the world, at that very moment. I felt it, she felt it and it was fucking good. That was my issue before, I had everything but not this. Not her. Everything a man could ever want except the look of a woman who was satisfied with just you. Making love with plain ol’ Cole. Filling the cracks and crevices of my heart with her glue.

  I kissed her.

Kissed her hard because I felt like my entire body was about to combust with everything coursing through me at the same time. At first, she kissed me back and then she started to move on me, around my cock, and twirl on it like it was a pole. Her breasts were also bouncing and enticing me to kiss, pinch or bite them but all I could do was hold her ass as she rode me to heaven.

I think I saw an angel or something angelic as the light from squeezing my eyes shut cut through. Her nips to my neck, ear and shoulder did not help. A growl escaped from me. My maddening grip of her hips would surely leave marks. Bethany expertly moved around on me again but did not give me the instant gratification of sliding back down and after she caught my eyes, she said, “There you are.”

Her ass slammed back down and in a rapid motion slammed up and down on me like a machine gun on the loose. My howl could have woken the entire gated community and the slapping of her ass did not slow down the vixen called Bethany. It spurred her on and she did not stop until I released every bit of my essence into her tight channel.

Once I finally let her hips go, she leaned up, pinched her clitoris and came once more.

That was so goddamn hot. Watching her come a part like that while still wrapped around me. I pulled Bethany down in a hard kiss and once I disposed of the condom, we both passed out.

No words were exchanged, just silent stares, knowing exactly what they meant.

  She was mine.

  I belonged to her.

  Chapter 5: What Now?

  Bethany Wade

My body hummed with excitement, endorphins and more importantly with Cole. That man had a way with words, his hips, that mouth and surely the package in between his legs. I was sore, but it was the best aching of muscles I had ever felt. I welcomed the ache as it reminded me that I didn’t imagine last night. It wasn’t a dream. I could tell by the tightness in my joints and the sweet ache between my thighs.

When I rolled over, the bed was empty and only slightly warm. My head quickly turned toward the bathroom and saw that the door was open. The clock read 7:15 a.m. so I assumed Cole was maybe doing some morning workout routine. What I didn’t expect was what happened next.

A blaring noise sounded throughout the house causing me to jump up and throw on my dress with no underwear. Running out of the room, a strong arm wrapped around my waist stopping me in my tracks.

“Bethany,” Cole was yelling over the alarm. “It’s fine. I burned our breakfast.”

The alarm was still going off, but I heard him clearly so I shook my head and laughed.

“What in the world?” I walked toward the kitchen to open the patio doors and waved the offending smoke away that apparently started in the toaster.

Cole came to follow suit and eventually the alarms stopped so I could hear myself think again. When I looked back at him, I shook my head again and went toward the toaster where there were little pieces of crust still breathing fire. When I turned to look at Cole he had a look on his face like he was trying to decipher if I was mad or not. Why that made me burst out in laughter was still a mystery, but I did.

It at least put a smirk on his face, which made me go to him, wrap my arms around his neck and kiss the corner of his lips. I still had yet to brush my own teeth, but I wanted to reassure the man what he did was good.

“The café it is,” Cole said as he stared in my eyes.

“The café it is.” I smiled and patted him on his chest. “Going to freshen up.”

We successfully left the house, with the patio doors open, so the burnt frozen waffle smell would leave by the time we returned. The short ride over to the café was solemn but sweet. Cole had his hands on my thigh, forearm or whatever he could reach. There weren't many words exchanged between the two of us which was funny but for me, it was slightly surreal. It was my first time sleeping with the man and the chemistry between us was electrifying.

Once we arrived to the café, Beans & Things, Cole opened my door. He took me by the hand and headed toward our destination but suddenly stopped and we were both moving backward.

"Bethany," Cole called as he invaded my space and I was leaning on his car. "Last night happened, right?"

Oddly enough, I should have laughed, but I did not because I felt the same thing.

"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing this morning." I smiled at him. "It happened. My body doesn't ache because of my Yoga classes that's for sure."

"Did you feel that?" Cole asked with his eyebrows pushing together in confusion. "Do you understand?"

My hand cupped his face just before I wrapped it around his neck to pull the man into me.

"I felt it, Cole." I kissed his lips. "I feel it."

"Fuck," he mumbled before he deepened the kiss and pressed his body against mine.

The two of us greedily delved into the other in the parking lot of the cafe. It was so intense a few whistles caused me to pull away.

"Cole," I breathed. "Let's go eat."

Right on queue his stomach rumbled signaling his hunger as well.

"Yeah," he exhaled. "Let's do that."

Our breakfast was insightful, less eventful than the burnt waffles and since we had a booth to ourselves, Cole started to massage my achy parts. Including the internal ache between my legs. At the breaking point, I had to stop his hand because I could not or just would not be quiet if I came and that would not be good PR.

Cole asked me about my life, aspirations and what I wanted for the future. Oddly enough, those had changed for me after my husband wanted a divorce, my daughter grew older and I became more invested into my company.

“Are you going for partner?” Cole asked after I processed and explained what my focus had been about the past few years.

“No, well, I’m not sure.” I told him since I never really thought about it until he asked. “I’d been focused on my company because I no longer had those other responsibilities. I guess I could have improved my golf game.”

Cole turned his head to see if I was playing before he burst out laughing.

  “Your golf game?” he clarified.

“Well, yeah. I could learn,” I confirmed. “Retirement is not too far off. I’m getting up there in age.”

“No one could tell it.” Cole shook his head as he looked at me with wanting eyes. “No one.”

There was no need to try to stop the blush I knew was spreading across my face. This was all too good to be true, but I loved every minute of it and would cherish it to be honest.

“I want to stay like this,” I finally blurt out. “Just escape the real world and stay in this bubble.”

“Shit, let’s do it.” Cole grabbed both of my hands. “We can leave, go out the country, have your ex deal with your daughter. You’ve been at your job forever. I know you have some vacation days. Let’s just go, get to know each other, fall in love, make love and then you can marry me so we’re guaranteed to stay in the bubble forever.”

  Goodness gracious.

My blood ran hot while my skin prickled with acute awareness of what the man of two weeks just announced. He did not laugh, smirk or even flinch. Cole said those worlds like it was the most natural thing in the world.

“Cole—” I was about to say something but he pulled me across the bench in the U-shape booth until my thigh was touching his.

Cole brought his nose to mine as he invaded my space. When he exhaled, I inhaled as our lips grazed one another.

“Bethany, our three dates are over,” he whispered. “It’s our time.”

>   My eyes met his before I asked, “What happens now?”

“I take you back home,” he said against my lips before he kissed me. “Then I show you what a man over forty can do after a good night’s rest.” He kissed me again. “Then, we’ll eat some lunch that I’m not going to burn.” His lips touched mine again. “Then we’ll test your limits some more, get dinner, and then I’ll take you out tomorrow.”

Each kiss grew deeper until it was a full on make out session in the booth. The waiter did not bother us until he’d seen we had ceased.

“Will there be anything else for you both?” The wide-eye waiter asked with a knowing smile.

“No, that’ll be all,” Cole said to the man.

Once the bill was paid, we left hand in hand to drive back to Cole’s place, where he commenced to do exactly what he said in the cafe. We made it all the way to dinner, where he ordered Thai from one of his favorite restaurants, when my phone rang. I silenced it but it kept ringing.

“You might want to get that,” Cole called as he poured the rest of Pad Thai on a plate for me. “It could be important.”

Dread draped over me like a wet blanket. I knew without looking, not only was it important, but I would not be happy. Digging into my purse, I pulled out the phone and saw it was my ex-husband.

“Yes, Bryce,” I answered, tapping down on my annoyance of being disturbed.

“Where are you?” he asked in a curt tone as if he forgot, I didn’t answer to him. Not when we were married and definitely not now.

“Why?” I answered his question with a question.

“Because our daughter, remember her, she’s been waiting for you at the house since last night. You didn’t come home. I’m not sure what you were thinking when you knew she was coming home,” he accused.

I looked at Cole who could probably hear the irritated man over the phone. His gaze locked on me, and he did not look happy, confirming he heard every word.

“Bryce, our daughter, the one that lived with me until she made a decision to move on with her life has a key. Not only does she have a key, but she also has my cell phone number. She refuses to use it. Why do you think that is?” I asked again. “It’s because she knows, she’ll call her emotional father who will do her fighting for her. She’s twenty-three, Bryce. Twenty-three. Let’s not forget this when you decide it’s a good decision to call me about a grown woman,” I replied.
