Nic’s lips left a trail of fire down her neck as his own hands got busy on her buttons. “And your paintings,” he murmured against her throat.
“Yes, and my paintings,” she said.
Gia waited until Nic lifted his head. “I love you, Nic. I love you so much.”
“Of course you do. I never doubted it.”
He lifted her hand and she shook her head as she gazed at the huge ruby that now graced her hand. “Aren’t you worried about me getting paint on it?”
“If you do, I’ll buy you another one.”
She squealed as Nic scooped her into his arms and strode across the marble-floored foyer. “Now let me show you your new bedroom, and you can practice some of that passion.”
