Damian's Treble [Rescue for Hire 3] (Siren Publishing Classic ManLove) Page 6

by Bellann Summer

Alex deducted where the vehicle had been parked, these indents were located on the other side away from the road. To Alex, it looked like something large had hit the grass right there. Scanning the area again as they got even closer, he thought he saw a very faint trail from the indent down the deep ditch’s steep bank of grass to the bottom. At the bottom of the ditch, Alex’s expert eye saw an opening made from the high grass and cattails being flattened down by something. His suspicions were confirmed when Bud let out a bellowing howl as he came across the indent and started down the trail Alex had seen.

Damian jerked in surprise when Bud suddenly let out a howl he was sure could be heard miles away. He had been watching as Alex had walked a few feet then had stopped, then had walked a few more feet and had stopped again. He was hoping with everything in his soul that this wasn’t a wild goose chase. It would break his heart if Treb was still in the missing van or being held somewhere else. They had no other leads at this point and Damian was ready to tear someone apart in his frustration.

Now the big dog’s tail was standing up straight and his nose was to the ground as he strained against the lead. Alex gave a hand signal in their direction and in one motion he, along with the boss and Jack, started forward, the deputies following.

The dog went down the embankment and into the six-foot-high grass and cattails at the bottom. Then he disappeared, Alex right behind him. The hair on Damian’s arms stood on end as Bud started an all-out braying in his deep bloodhound voice and then the sound abruptly stopped.

All of the men broke into a full-out run-slide down the hill to reach the dog. Breaking through the tall grass, Damian saw Bud sitting, holding his stuffed puppy doll in his mouth, the reward for completing his job. Alex was crouched down next to a body wrapped in duct tape. The only thing Damian recognized was the dirty messy braid of Treb’s hair lying in the dirt. Jack immediately was there opening his medic bag and pulling out supplies as Alex started cutting the tape apart with his utility knife.

Damian could do nothing but watch as Jack and Alex worked on freeing Treb from his cage of tape and started treating his injuries. From what Damian could tell, there was a bleeding and bruised area on the side of his head. The front of his forehead had a small red patch and he was also bleeding heavily from his side. Damian knew Jack had the latest in a sealing gauze that could somehow help stop people from bleeding out. When they had pulled the tape off, it had ripped skin away from his exposed arms and hands, so now they had to address that also. The most troubling thing to Damian was that through it all, Treb hadn’t moved.

Cade put a hand on Damian’s shoulder and urged him forward. “Go to him. It doesn’t matter if he is awake or not, he’ll know you’re there.”

That was all Damian needed to break out of his stupor and rush to Treb’s side. The only place he could find to touch without hurting him was his shoulder. So he laid his hand on Treb’s shoulder and started talking, telling him he was there and wouldn’t leave him. Damian was shocked when Treb opened those dark eyes and looked at him. He never said a word or broke eye contact as the ambulance arrived and the stretcher was brought down to them. Damian never stopped talking as they lifted Treb onto the stretcher and hauled him up the embankment to the ambulance.

Damian climbed into the ambulance with Treb and continued to reassure him that he was safe and that everything was going to be okay. Still Treb’s eyes didn’t leave his. It was kind of weird because they didn’t blink or move. They just stared at Damian. Throughout the ride to the hospital, Damian kept his hand on Treb’s shoulder and kept on talking to him.

At the hospital, the staff stopped Damian and tried to take Treb away to treat him. The minute his hand slipped from his shoulder and their eye contact broke, Treb started howling and fighting. The doctor and three nurses found themselves on the ground from quick jabs to certain pressure points. Treb was kneeling up on the gurney, eyes frantically searching the room. Damian immediately stepped up to his side, putting his hand back on his shoulder, lightly pressing their foreheads together and whispering soothing love words, trying to calm his hellion down.

A different doctor came forward with a syringe and inserted it into the IV that had somehow managed to stay in Treb’s arm. Slowly, Treb relaxed and, with Damian’s help, lay back down on the gurney. Damian watched as his eyelids bit by tiny bit drooped and finally closed. Through it all those beautiful dark eyes never left Damian’s.

Once Treb was out, the doctors took him away to the examining room. Damian and the whole team, including Bret and Pip, were sitting in the waiting room when a nurse came in to let them know Treb had been taken to surgery to repair the knife wound. Damian was surprised to find out he was named as the contact person on Treb’s paperwork. Why he was surprised, he didn’t know. When Treb made his mind up about something, he went the whole way with it. And that was all there was to it. It took another two hours before Damian was urgently ushered to the recovery room to be with Treb. From what Damian understood, procedure had it that a patient was taken to the recovery room to wake up from surgery and become stable before being taken to their hospital room. Unfortunately the nurse in the recovery room had a former mercenary as a patient and she only realized he was awake when she found herself with Treb’s hand wrapped around her throat. The doctor in charge, already having dealt with Treb in the emergency room, had called for Damian immediately.

Damian managed to get the confused and lethal Treb to let the poor woman go. Then he carefully sat on the bed next to him, putting his arm around him. Apparently, because of his head injury, he had to stay in a semi-upright position. Treb calmed down as soon as he felt Damian’s touch and heard his voice. Later Damian found out Treb’s vision was blurry and would be for the next couple of days. Those days were rough on both of them as the head injury also caused vomiting, a constant bad taste in Treb’s mouth, confusion, and a headache from hell.

A miserable Treb made for a miserable, scary hospital room to be in. The doctors and nurses point-blank refused to enter the room without Damian present. Lucky for them, he only left Treb’s side to use the bathroom or stretch when Treb was sleeping.

As when Bret had been in the hospital, the team rallied around and brought food and changes of clothes for Damian. Things were a little tense when Treb didn’t recognize anyone’s face for the first twelve hours. He became agitated until Damian took his hand and continued to whisper words in his ear. As long as Damian was there, Treb remained calm.

On day three, Cade came in and handed Damian a duffle bag. “Go shower. Bret is bringing food in a few minutes.”

Damian looked at Treb, worried things would go south real fast. But Treb and Cade’s eyes were locked in silent communication and Damian watch as an understanding passed between them. Damian headed out of the room, knowing Treb was in good hands with the boss.

Finally, on day five Treb found himself at home on the couch. Home being Damian’s house, except now it wasn’t. He had been informed that this was their home together now. While Treb had been at the hospital the team had gone over to his apartment and packed everything up. There hadn’t really been much for them to move as Treb had never bothered owning a bunch of things. He would admit it was good to have the picture of his Mom and Dad on the shelf by the fireplace, though.

Damian was in the kitchen making grilled cheese sandwiches and warming tomato soup for a light lunch. He was glad the bad taste in Treb’s mouth had gone away. Treb’s head injury had been a bitch and he hoped the worst was over. Thank goodness the knife had missed all of Treb’s major organs and so far it had been healing pretty well.

Taking Treb’s food into the living room, he set the tray on his lap. Fred, who had been curled up between Treb’s ankles, jumped onto the floor and stalked away. Returning to the kitchen, he added two glasses of water and the bottle of pain pills onto his own tray. Finally sitting on his big recliner that was at a right angle to the couch, he was ready to let himself relax.

  “This sandwich is
pretty good,” Treb stated, trying to sound appreciative.

“Thank you.” Damian wondered where this was going.

“I’m not much into tomato soup, though.” Treb thought that didn’t sound too much like a whine.

  “Eat it anyway.”

“What do I get if I eat it?” Treb decided if he had to eat the stuff, he should get something out of it.

“You get to feel better faster and a pain pill.”

The pain pill sounded pretty good but Treb was after a bigger prize. “How about a pain pill and a blow job?”

Damian chuckled. “You think you’re up for a blow job, Treble?”

“A man is always up for a blow job,” Treb stated indisputably.

“All right, you eat all of the soup and take your pill with the entire glass of water and I’ll give you a blow job.”

Treb finished the last bite of the sandwich. Then he lifted the bowl of soup and drank it down, not stopping until it was gone. Taking the glass of water, he held out his hand, palm up for the pill. The pill and the water were gone in seconds. When he had finished the water, he wiped his mouth on his sleeve like the ten year old he sometimes still acted like. Setting the glass on the tray, he handed the whole thing back to Damian. Now he was ready for the real prize.

Damian took both trays back to the kitchen and returned to find Treb with his jeans open and his long slim prick out, stroking it top to bottom. Damian could see it wasn’t as hard as it usually was but with all of the trauma Treb’s body had endured the last week or so and all the drugs in his system, he wasn’t surprised.

Kneeling down by the side of the sofa, his hand joined Treb’s in stroking the silky prick, firming it up even more. Grabbing Treb’s hand, he leaned over and took the head into his mouth and started sucking on the end. Treb’s head fell back against the pillow as he let out a small whimper.

Damian let the cock slip out of his mouth. “Treble, if you move or tense up any part of your body, I will stop.”

“Okay,” Treb panted. No matter what, he was going to follow Damian’s orders.

Taking the head of Treb’s cock back into his mouth, he started sucking while his tongue pressed into the tiny hole at the end. More whimpers came when Damian changed the angle just a bit and took the whole cock into his mouth, down to the curly dark hair at the base. Sliding his mouth back up, he licked the head for a few seconds until he sucked the whole thing down his throat again. Then he swallowed. Cum flowed out of Treb’s cock down his throat in three short bursts. Through it all Treb never moved. Licking his way back to the tip, Damian enjoyed leisurely cleaning any remaining cum off his softening prick. He never got a chance to ask Treb if he had enjoyed his prize because when he looked up, he discovered Treb was asleep.

  Chapter Seven

It was a couple of weeks later that found Treb lying in bed with Damian’s arms wrapped around him, holding him close. He figured if Damian felt better holding him at night, it was the least he could do to let him. Soon he was going to have to let the man tell him that he loved him. Treb knew since the whole kidnapping incident that Damian loved him. After all, he hadn’t left his side the whole time.

Earlier this evening, just after they had gone to bed and made love, Damian’s phone rang.

“We need a plane ready as soon as possible to get us to Minnesota. We have a kid lost,” Cade ordered.

“I’ll have Pete get it ready,” Damian responded.

“Is Treb going to be okay alone?” the boss asked. Treb hadn’t been cleared medically to work yet.

“He won’t be alone. Pete will be flying you out,” Damian answered.

“Is he capable? I did hire you to fly us around.”

“He is very capable and I am not leaving Treb until he is healed up completely.”

“Fair enough.” Cade sounded pleased with the way the conversation had gone. The boss always seemed to have his own agenda.

Damian spent the next minutes getting a hold of Pete and giving him instructions. He had helped Damian before with the paperwork and the fueling of the aircraft for the missions. So it was just a matter of informing him that this time he was flying the mission start to finish instead of Damian. Damian had complete confidence in Pete and knew the team was in good hands.

When he had finished, Damian lay back down and Treb snuggled right up to the warmth of his chest. Now, a few hours later, Damian was quietly snoring and something had woken Treb up. Fred was curled up on the end of the bed staring toward the door leading to the hallway. Instantly on alert, Treb squeezed Damian’s thigh.

The soft snore continued but Treb knew Damian was awake. Then he heard the sound of a thump coming from downstairs. Silently, he got out of bed and pulled on a pair of jeans. As he strapped a knife sheath to his leg and grabbed his gun, he watched Damian slide a pair of jeans over that tight ass, his back muscles flexing from his movements. Wishing he was in bed licking that ass instead of finding out who, by the sound of it, was climbing through the living room window, Treb sighed and started moving.

Like the ghost he was called, Treb was out the bedroom door, down the hall, and gliding down the staircase, pitching silently over the side railing halfway down. Landing in a crouch, he quickly went over to the side of the living room doorway, waiting for the first intruder to walk through.

By now he knew there were three of them and he heard one of the fools knock what sounded like a piece of iron against the glass of one of the coffee tables. It was easy to deduct who was invading their home and Treb had just about enough of their shit.

Stooge number one came through the doorway and Treb dropped him with a jab to the throat. The other two yelled out when they saw the first unexpectedly hit the floor. The prick with the metal bar raised it and ran at Treb. Treb watched as Damian, who had positioned himself on the other side of the doorway, swung a metal bat and clocked the prick right through the center of his midsection. Treb thought he heard a few ribs snap. Yeah, he may have chuckled a little at that.

Now there were two down and one to go, except the third guy had immediately turned and ran for the window when the first guy had gone down. Treb headed for the window and climbed out, wincing when the healing wound in his side pulled at the activity. Treb crossed the driveway and made his way to the guy frantically trying to open the door of a silver truck parked on the side of the airplane hangar. Wrapping his arm around the guy’s throat, he pressed his hand into the top of his shoulder area and the guy instantly was unconscious on the ground.

At that moment a knife was pressed under his chin as an arm covered by a dirty smelling shirt came around his chest and arms.

“Did you forget about me, Spook? When you didn’t die in that ditch did you think I was done with you? I went back home and tried to talk to my wife and she’s gone. There’s not a trace of her or my kids anywhere. It’s your fault everyone is helping her disappear. So I came back to take care of you once and for all.” The stench from his breath was so bad it just about knocked Treb out. “All I had to do was follow those three morons around. They couldn’t keep their mouths shut, going on about how they were going to take care of you. It was a good thing for me they were stupid enough to keep your attention away from me. You’re not the only one who Uncle Sam has trained to stalk and kill.”

Shit! Damn! Treb wondered why these people wouldn’t leave him the hell alone. He and Damian had taken care of the prick and his two cronies. Now he had the husband from the Colorado rescue trying to kill him, again. Treb smiled when he heard the small scrapping sound of a shoe on gravel behind them. Then his body was jerked forward, the knife making a small scratch on his neck as he heard the thump of metal hitting bone. His lover was practicing his swing with that bat again. Now they had four bodies lying around.

Treb heard Damian talking on his cell phone. Fifteen minutes later the sound of sirens filled the air and at least three police cars pulled into the backyard. Blue and red lights swept across the yard, lighting it up like Christmas.

p; It took a while for the sheriff to square everything away. Some of the deputies took the four men to the hospital to get checked out. Damian and Treb ended up sitting on the couch while the sheriff asked questions about the incident. There were a couple of other deputies in the room. One was taking pictures of the scrapes on the wood around the window where the prick had pried it open. Another was standing off behind the sofa. Treb wasn’t very enthusiastic about someone standing behind him but he let it go for now.

“So, how did you know that someone had broken into your house?” Steve, the sheriff, asked.

“I woke up knowing something was off in the house,” Treb answered.

“Damian, when did you first become aware intruders were in the house?” The sheriff turned to Damian.

“Treb woke me up and I knew something was wrong,” Damian answered.

The cop behind him let out a snicker, covering it up with a cough. The sheriff looked at the cop but said nothing. The questioning continued. Every time they answered a question with a reference to them working together or their relationship, there was a snicker behind them. Finally, the sheriff wrapped up the questioning.

“Okay, gentlemen. I have everything I need. If you two could come down to the station tomorrow to sign your statements we can submit everything to the district attorney’s office.”

“Queer,” was whispered softly behind them.

Treb was up and over the back of the couch before anyone else could react. The cop had his face pressed against the wall, screaming his head off from his arm being wrenched up painfully behind his back.

In a deadly low voice, Treb asked, “Do you think you can come into my home and spout that shit, officer? Do you really think my partner and I would let you get away with it, sir?” The sir was said with so much sarcasm and deadly intent goose bumps broke out on Damian’s arms. His hellion was a hairsbreadth away from taking action against a cop that would get both of them put in jail. And it would end up being both of them because Damian wouldn’t let him get taken in alone.
