Primal Temptation: a BBW Bear Shifter Paranormal Romance (Shadowlands Bear Shifters Book 4) Page 4

by Olivia Harp

Holy crap. It was thick, and hot, and incredibly hard. She never thought she could make a man this hard. Not a man like this, at least.

She put her hands beneath the sheets and caressed his manhood. It was big. Real big.

Desire flooded her. Franklin was something else entirely. He kissed her and desired her and gave himself completely to her, not holding back.

This was just a fling, she knew. Maybe. Maybe just a fling. But the connection they had, sexual and otherwise was outstanding.

He moaned softly in her ear.

She was nervous, and didn’t realize she was jerking him off. His big shaft hardened even more in her hand. He turned to her for a kiss and his sex grazed her legs. Sticky pre-cum warmed her thighs.

“Take me,” she said, lust consuming her.

He positioned himself above her, softly grabbing her by the hair. She was ready to have him inside, but he took his time.

He kissed her again, taking in her breasts and neck, then coming back, his eyes filled with contained, furious lust.

  “Say it again,” he commanded.

The hairs on the back of her neck bristled. The way he said the words, she knew she had to obey. Even worse, she wanted to obey.

  “Take me, Franklin.”

She was dripping wet. She was ready. His cockhead grazed her entrance, just barely penetrating her, the pulled back.

  “Oh God,” she said.

“I’m not wearing a condom,” he said, already moving away from her.

“It’s fine, just fuck me!” she said.

  “You’re sure?”

  “I’m on the pill.”

He smiled and grabbed her by the wrists, placing them over her head.

“Good girl,” he said, his cock sliding on her slit, the tip rubbing her nub. It was incredibly hot, she was on the verge of finishing again.

  “Fuck me, please,” she said.

But he wanted to make sure he was in command.

  “Good, I like it when you’re well-mannered.”

She was about to reply but his cock slowly entered her, leaving her breathless.

It slid inside slowly, penetrating her little by little, her body shivered in delight.

He was the biggest man she’d ever been with. When his cock reached all the way inside of her, the electric sensation increased tenfold.

He shifted his weight and put her clamped wrists over her belly, just beneath her breasts, his cock still inside her.

He pushed in again, and again, and again, his hand releasing hers, his hot body laid over hers, her legs straddling him. He was completely inside her.

A fiery bolt of pleasure and pain mixed inside her, both of their moaning filling the dark room.

Franklin grabbed her waist and in a swift movement he turned and she was riding him, his waist crashing against her clit, his hard cock sliding inside, massaging her g-spot.

She put her hands on his hard chest and lost herself in the moment.

He kissed her, and without any warning, stood up, still inside her. She held on to him as he fucked harder and harder.

No one had done that to her. It was like a porn movie. The way they did it. This wasn’t just sex. It was perverted, dirty fucking. It was the best kind of sex she ever had.

He moaned right next to her ear and she realized she did the same.

“Fuck me, fuck me,” she kept on repeating, without even wanting to, it just came out.

It was there again. Her orgasm, building up inside, almost ready to explode.

“No, no,” she said, “I’m going to come, I’m going—”

His hot skin pressed against her, her breasts pressed tight against his chest. It was too much.

  She let go.

She came even harder this time, and when she felt his hot sperm filling her crease, her orgasm intensified even more.

She yelled so hard her throat hurt, her legs wrapped around him so firmly she thought any other man would’ve been hurt.

She couldn’t let go of her embrace. She didn’t want to. And he was the same. Franklin remained inside of her. His cum slowly dripping down her leg.

For a minute or two, both of them held each other in the dark, their breathing the only thing breaking the silence.

Then her bear stirred inside, waking up for the first time in years.

  It roared the word “mate.”

  Chapter 7

Sophie woke up later than usual. She felt incredibly well rested, how odd.

Bad dreams haunted her ever since she left her clan, but she felt safe with Franklin.

She rolled over to hold him again, but his side of the bed was empty. Where was he?

Wait right there, Sophia. You don’t care where he is. It’s not like you miss him.

She remembered her bear growling “mate.” It couldn’t be. I thought you’d gone away, then you wake up and say that. It’s not fair.

Bad news, that’s what it was. That never happened before, not even when her bear still roared and snarled inside of her. She barely knew Franklin. It couldn’t be possible that her bear chose him as her mate. The animal was wrong.

It doesn’t matter, it will not last. I’ll enjoy this for as long as we’re together. It’s the best for both of us. She couldn’t fall in love. She couldn’t do it again. It always ended up badly.

But it never felt like this. Her heart felt heavy.

The door opened and there he was, wearing only his darned sexy boxer briefs, with a tray on his hands.

  “Is that...?”

He smiled, “yes, I didn’t want to wake you.”

He brought her breakfast in bed.

Her stomach fluttered again, please don’t fall for him Sophia, please don’t. But it was already too late. She knew she was lying to herself the moment she heard his voice.

  “Good morning, beautiful.”

She sighed, sitting up on the bed, forcing herself to think she didn’t like him too much already.

  “Good morning, cowboy.”

“I hope you like pancakes,” he said. They were thick and fluffy and just the perfect golden color, “I didn’t know if you wanted milk or juice so I brought you both. If you want water just say it and—”

“Juice is fine,” she said smiling. She’d never had breakfast in bed. And the pancakes smelled amazing.

She took a plate and he took the other one, placing the tray on the floor.

She buttered them, added honey, and took a small bite.

“Oh my gosh,” she said, covering her mouth, “they’re delicious.”

  He smiled, “thank you.”

She melted every time he looked at her.

  “No, thank you.”

  “Why?”

A mischievous grin adorned his face. She knew what he was thinking about.

“Yesterday was magical,” he said, taking another bite of his pancakes.

“I can hardly believe it myself,” she replied, pretending coolness, but deep down, her bear wanted more. It wanted to be claimed. Stop acting like this, what’s your problem?

Franklin wasn’t her mate. He couldn’t be. Those were just stories, fated mates? eternal love? Ridiculous.

“Worried about something?” he asked, bringing her back to reality.

“Oh,” she babbled, without knowing what to say, “not at all, not at all.”

“You sure? You’re not very talkative today.”

  “I’m just...”

  She trailed off.

“Listen,” he said, placing his hand over hers, “don’t feel uncomfortable by all this, I was hungry and thought about bringing you something to eat, too.”

Stop being so sweet! She didn’t know how to react. She’d been on her own for a long time, never fully trusting anyone, and then, this carefree man comes swaggering around, so sure of himself. The attraction was absolutely magnetic.

  “It’s okay,” she lied.

They ate in silence for another minute or two.

  “The weather is nice today,
” Franklin finally said.

  “Nice?”

He chuckled, “I mean, nicer. The snow storm is gone, it’s obviously super-cold out there.”

She nodded, “cool, so what’s the plan?”

“We finish up breakfast, and go visit the Main Repeater Antenna. I’ll see if there’s anything wrong with it, hardware-wise, you just check out the software back-end.”

That was something she could do without-second guessing herself.

“Done deal, cowboy. Don’t bring your hat though.”

“Hey, that’s my lucky hat, I work better with it.”

“You’ll ruin it, mark my words.”

He clicked his tongue, “I guess you’re right.”

She patted his knee, “don’t worry, I’ll bring you luck instead.”

He smirked, not saying a word.

  “What?” she asked.

  “Nothing, you’re funny, that’s all.”

Her heart stopped for a second. Then continued eating her breakfast, pretending everything was normal.

  “Thank you,” she said.

“Too bad we’re not gonna see each other after this.”

She didn’t want to think about it. He was fishing for a reply, something that told him that he was wrong. And she wanted to tell him so.

They could try to make this work, but she didn’t need more disappointment in her life.

“At least we had this, right?” she said, her stomach feeling hollow.

  ***

“There it is,” she said, pointing ahead.

It was hard to make out, but Franklin finally saw the large, bony structure of the Antenna hidden behind the morning fog.

“It’s bigger than I thought,” Franklin said.

  “You saw the schematics.”

“It’s different when you see it in person, don’t you think?”

She nodded. She’d seen his dossier, he looked pretty normal. Okay, he looked incredibly handsome, but he looked even more so in person.

The Jeep had a difficult time going around the icy terrain but Franklin was a good driver. It took them a while, following the lonely road, but they were finally there.

He parked beside the small, black cement building. It looked like a small base for the towering Antenna, all in all, it looked like the skeleton of an old Egyptian pyramid, only thinner and incredibly tall, at least a hundred feet high.

Franklin took a deep breath and turned to Sophie, who was leaning forward, looking up through the windshield.

“I’ll climb and check the integrity of the antenna,” he said, “how long will the system reboot take?”

“Ten to fifteen minutes. What if it’s a hardware problem?”

“I’ll try to fix it, take pictures of the issue then leave.”

  “All right, seems pretty easy.”

“In and out, no need to stay here longer than we should.”

She nodded and grabbed her laptop case.

The solid base beneath the antenna had a small, metal door at its center, along with a ladder affixed to the wall just beside it. There was no sign or anything around to indicate what the hell the place was, well, it’s not like someone is gonna stumble on it randomly, they have to be looking for it.

Sophia opened the door and headed directly inside, Franklin turned to the Jeep’s backseat and grabbed the climbing equipment going up to that height with the wind like this, it`s gonna be fun.

The freezing wind bit his face as soon as he was out of the car. Shit. He pulled up his face protector and climbed the ladder.

Even though the base ceiling was just about fifteen feet high, he knew he’d better secure himself every step of the way up. The damp floor and harsh wind currents pushed against his winter gear.

He took out his radio, hanging from his belt, “I’m going up, Sophie, I’ll keep you posted, over.”

  “Understood, over,” she said.

Static covered her words but he could still understand what she said pretty clearly.

Weird. The radios were military grade, no reason for them to be acting like this. Probably signal interference from the antenna.

He looked for anything that could be wrong or broken at the base of the structure. Of course everything was fine, the thing was built to withstand the end of the world.

He hooked himself up to the steel tubes and started his way up, making sure his clothes were perfectly zipped.

He could endure the cold pretty much perfectly, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t uncomfortable as hell.

The first three or four steps up were easy.

On the fifth he slipped on a patch of ice that covered the metal. Nothing to worry about. He held himself tighter and knew that he would have to go slowly from here on. Even though the boots and gloves were made for this, he shouldn’t be so confident.

He kept moving the life line all the way up, every ten feet or so. You get too confident, you fall.

So far, he was a third of the way up. Time to check for electric continuity and signal strength.

This was going to take longer than he thought.

  ***

Sophie entered the small building to face a completely dark corridor, three doors on each side. She flipped on a light switch to her right and an electric noise bubbled through the ceiling, but no lights turned on.

Crap, this thing’s been unmanned for too long.

She turned on her flashlight and moved forward. At least the doors are marked.

“Main Office,” the first to the right said. Right in front of it, “kitchen.”

She sighed, moving on, passing the bathroom sign unto the door with the “Control Room” sign.

  Let’s see.

She tried opening it but it was stuck. The door handle turned perfectly, but the door itself wouldn’t budge.

It’s like the movies. She hit it with her shoulders two times, the door did not move at all.

“Hey, sweets,” Franklin blurted through the radio, making her jump in surprise, “how’s everything down there, over?”

“Franklin, you scared the hell out of me, over” she told him.

“You’re jumpy today,” he said with a laugh, “over.”

“Control room’s door is stuck, I’m trying to push it open, over.”

“Really? If you need help just ask, I’ll be happy to help, over”

She knew she’d be an ass if she asked that. She wouldn’t make him come down to open a darned door.

“Don’t be afraid to break it,” he told her, “let’s do our job and then worry about the small stuff, over.”

He knew she was strong. She was a bear shifter, after all. Why was she always so scared of being all she was?

“Got it, how are you doing, over?”

“Not bad, no structural damage so far. I’m picking ice off the rails just to make sure we got all our bases covered, but even so, that shouldn’t interfere with the signal, over.”

She nodded, “all right. Let me see what’s in here and I’ll check back with you, over.”

“I’ll be waiting for your sweet voice to give me some warmth, over.”

She chuckled, “shut up, dummy. Concentrate.”

  “Over and out.”

She stepped back, growling softly, looking at the unmoving door. I tried to do this the easy way, fella.

She roared and jumped forward, hitting the door right on the side, bursting it open, letting it dangle from its lower hinge.

  Told you so.

She pointed the torchlight to the corner. The room was a small, ten by ten feet concrete square, warmer than the corridor. Up there on the wall a small, permanently on A/C heated the room just above workable temperature.

Monitors and big computers covered the far wall, all of their small LED lights blinked in the darkness. A big work desk sat against them.

  Electricity’s working fine.

She turned around but there was no light switch. Darn. She’d have to write a report telling HQ the state of the building. Even if th
ey didn’t care.

She smiled, grabbing the back of an office chair and slid it closer to the far end of the room, near the control station.

Like the villain’s lair from a Bond film, she thought, grinning. It was awesome.

She turned on the monitors and started typing her way in. Passwords over passwords over passwords. Military security. She tried for years to understand the inner workings of this kind of encryption. Never for a second thought she’d just have all that stuff available to her.

She went through all the hoops and turned off all locks.

Up in a big screen, the protocols the Antenna used started coming up one by one. Everything seemed fine, until the cascade of characters on a big monitor to the far right got stuck, a simple message appeared juxtaposed on its center.

“Error 16Q2: Unable to query main server.”

She smiled and cracked her knuckles. It was show time.

  ***

Just a few dozen feet more and Franklin would reach the antenna’s peak. Structural integrity was perfectly normal. Everything from cabling to electrical conductivity worked fine.

Just as I thought. Software problem.

But her code was perfect. Maybe one of the machines inside the building was the one with a fault.

But those had double backups, so it was only a remote possibility.

His radio chirped, then Sophie’s voice came through, absolutely covered with static.

“No pr... I’m ch... to see the—”

It cut off. He couldn’t understand anything.

“Signal is cutting off, Sophie, please repeat, over.”

  Radio static again.

  “...booting. Rebooting.”

He nodded. Okay, things were going fine.

“Understood. Just a few more minutes before I’m done, over.”

No reply. He repeated his message, sighed and continued up. The wind was much harsher up there, he could feel his special work suit starting to give in, the cold slowly but surely leaking inside.

“Gotta hurry up,” he said out loud, to no one in particular.

She was right, though. My hat would have been completely fucked up.

He climbed again, easily. He’d grown accustomed to the pace. It was just a matter of minutes before he got to the top.

Then he stopped. He picked it up. That hideous scent.
