Conspiracy Boy (Angel Academy) Page 25

That said, there are quite a few other people I need to mention here.

Every writer will tell you, no book is written in a vacuum. This one wouldn’t exist without the patience and care of the fantastic folks at Entangled Publishing. Liz, you continue to amaze me in brilliant and inspiring ways. Candace, you held my hand when I needed it, pushed me when I couldn’t push myself, and made me better than I thought I could be. I adore you. Heather, you’re my rock and my sounding board. Thank you for always answering the phone, no matter what the hour.

While we’re on the topic of phone therapists, Noelle, Sharon and Stephanie, you each deserve a giant monument–like, huge, stone, carved monoliths with epic depictions of your awesomeness. However, since none of your husbands would tolerate such a display going up in your front yards, I’ll have to settle for words. Thank you. I’d be useless without you.

I also want to thank Diana, Barb, and Kaye, for being there. I don’t see you as often as I’d like, but you’re always in my heart. To the Doomsdaisies–Romily, Meg, Natalie, Pintip and Steph–thanks for having my back. That means everything. Leigh Michaels, you taught me how to write fearlessly. I’ll never stop being grateful for it. To everyone in ORA and GRW, you guys are like family. Wherever I am, you give me a home base and I love you for it. Especially, thank you to Nicole Resciniti for believing in me. Nic, you make me want to be better.

Obviously, there are other folks. MK Meredith and Marni Bates, please move closer to me. This continent is too big. Sara Thompson and Michele Risdal Barnes, you keep me grounded. Don’t ever stop. Allison and Roger, I love you guys infinitely. Thanks for putting up with me. RexMoody, I thank you for waking up my heart. It was real. And Jef, for being there when I needed you, I will always be grateful.

Last but not least, to the people who make me sing, dance, and generally do the hokey-pokey. Avery–I know it annoys you when I stare and smile and tell you how incomparably gorgeous you are, but I can’t help it. It’s true. You’re smart and beautiful and kind and strong, so don’t ever forget it, okay? Evan–you blow me away every day with your brilliance. You’re the kind of guy who will rule the world and make gaggles of girls swoon along the way. You’re incredible. Plus, no matter how old you get, I will never stop snuggling with you. My sweet turkeys, I love you around the universe and back again...to infinity.

Overall, this series has taught me a lot. But the biggest and best lesson I can share is this: Live courageously. Love fearlessly. And make choices before they make you. No matter where you are in life, you’re at the beginning.

  Prophecy Girl

Amelie Bennett…Ending the world, one prophecy at a time.

I was born to slay Crossworld demons.

Big black flappy ones, little green squirmy ones. Unfortunately, the only thing getting slain these days is my social life. With my high school under attack, combat classes intensifying, and Academy instructors dropping right and left, I can barely get my homework done, let alone score a bondmate before prom.

  Then he shows up.

Jackson Smith-Hailey. Unspeakably hot, hopelessly unattainable, and dangerous in all the right ways. Sure, he’s my trainer. And okay, maybe he hates me. Doesn’t mean I’ll ignore the wicked Guardian chemistry between us. It’s crazy! Every time I’m with him, my powers explode. Awesome, right?

  Wrong.

Now my teachers think I’m the murderous Graymason destined to bring down our whole race of angelbloods. Everyone in New Orleans is hunting me. The people I trusted want me dead. Jack and I have five days to solve the murders, prevent a vampire uprising, and thwart the pesky prophecy foretelling his death by my hand. Shouldn’t be too difficult.

Getting it done without falling in love…that might take a miracle.
