  With a proud hum, I flop down on the edge of the bed to slide my heels on. “I'm actually pretty impressed with myself. Throwing together this kind of wedding in such a short time frame? I want an award.”

  Arik flashes me his classic smile over his shoulder. “I can give you the best kind of reward.”

  I snicker. “After the wedding. We're on a schedule.”

  He rolls his head back around to the mirror. “On our wedding day, some day in the future those are words I'm going to forbid you from saying.”

  Once my shoes are on, I strut over to him. “Good luck with that. As the groom you don't really get a say.”

  Finally done with his tie, he turns around and wraps his arms around me. “I don't?”

  “You have two jobs. Show up and say the right name during the vows.”

  He lifts an eyebrow. “That's it?”

  “That's it.”

  “Well then I guess I've got it made. There's no way I could ever say the wrong name.” His hands slide up the back of my thighs to grip my ass under my dress. “But just in case, why don't we practice every day from now until then?”

  I barely let out a giggle before his teeth are nipping eagerly at my neck.

  So we've both changed in the past year. I've managed to take a few risks in my career. After telling Helen my services would no longer be hers for the using, ever again, I adventured into everything from birthday parties to fundraisers. Because I didn't have to answer around the clock to them the way I did for Helen, I was allowed to take on as many projects as I wanted when I wanted. Arik on the other hand? He's managed to find the joy he was looking for by working at the hotel for evening guests that come in for a drink and playing weekends at The Den. To his surprise everything he wanted was right in front of him, but he was too busy being naked to notice. Ha. See I can make a joke about it now.

  “You can't give me a hickey before your brother's wedding,” I mean for it to sound like an objection yet somehow manage to sound like an invitation.

  “Challenges are my favorite,” he whispers before sucking harder. Arik spins me around and pushes me against the wall. With a sweet smirk he slips his fingers between my legs. “Let's warm up my fingers before we go out there...”

  Instantly my eyes shut and my body surrenders to the only touch that's ever been able to satisfy it.

  I never thought I would ever find someone who would fulfill my body let alone fit so easily into the rest of my world. But I'm glad that I have. And more importantly, I'm glad it's a two way street. He treats me like the naughty little princess he can't wait to spend the rest of his life with and I treat him like the prince I know I wanna spend happily ever after with. Maybe our fairy tale romance is a little fucked up, but it's ours. And I love every moment of it.
