He worked me with his fingers, rubbing my pleasure center and dipping down to my inner labia to slide inside of me; I twisted and writhed underneath him, more and more turned on by the moment until I almost couldn’t stand it, my hand tightening on his erection, stroking him faster. “If you keep doing that,” Bobby said, panting a bit, “you’re going to make me finish before we even get to the main event.”
“So let’s just get to the main event already, shall we?” Bobby chuckled breathlessly and his fingers left me. He shifted on top of me and I felt the heat and thickness of his cock sliding between my slick folds, teasing me. We stayed like that for a few moments longer, rubbing against each other, kissing each other, and then--thankfully--Bobby finally shifted the tip of his cock against my inner labia, and thrust into me slowly. He pressed deeper and deeper, sinking into me inch by inch, filling me up, and I wrapped my legs around his waist, pushing my hips down to take him faster.
He held me off, taking his time, kissing my neck and breasts, and I groaned in impatience. “Come on!”
“Oh I definitely plan on coming,” Bobby said. He slid all the way into me and held absolutely still, looking down into my eyes. “You’re on the pill, right?” I shook my head.
“I got the implant after Tanya,” I told him. “You’re clean?” Bobby half-scowled.
“I would not even dream of having unprotected sex with you if I wasn’t,” he told me.
“Fair enough,” I said. “Not to mention you’re already inside me--it’s a bit late for worry.” Bobby grinned and pulled halfway out of me before thrusting back all the way in, his hips meeting mine. I moaned, grabbing at his shoulders, pulling his face around to kiss him hungrily.
We found our rhythm just as naturally as we had the first time, and I felt the tension mounting deep down between my hips, the feeling like a knot getting tighter and tighter as I became more and more turned on by the friction between us. Bobby fit just perfectly inside of me, rubbing along my inner walls, hitting all the spots that felt so good, and before I knew it I was moaning out again and again, gripping him as if for life itself. I cried out against his shoulder as the tension dissolved all at once, and wave after wave of pleasure washed through me, crackling through my nervous system like a tidal wave. I barely even noticed that Bobby’s body was tensing too, barely felt the twitching of his cock inside of me, but just as my orgasm was starting to ebb, he hit his; the feeling of sticky-slick heat rushing into me brought me back into the deep end of pleasure once more, and we kept moving for a few minutes longer, clutching each other, until neither of us could move an inch anymore.
“Give me five minutes,” I told Bobby, once I’d caught my breath. “And then we are so doing that again.” Bobby chuckled.
“I’ve got to make it worth it, right? Spending the night away from your child? Deal,” he told me. I curled up next to him and reminded myself not to fall asleep; I wanted to get in as much sex as possible before I had to go back to my real life.
Chapter 13
I woke up the next morning with Sienna next to me in the bed, already awake. “I got a call from the hospital,” Sienna told me, pushing herself up onto one elbow to look into my eyes.
“Is that so? I would think you’d be scampering off to rush to work then,” I said with a little grin. “At least this time I’d make sure to check for a note.”
“They called to let me know I had a surprise paid day off, that I didn’t have to come in,” Sienna said. “I somehow suspect that’s your doing.” I shrugged.
“I may have arranged something,” I told her. Sienna shook her head.
“How do you go about arranging a paid day off for me? You don’t own the hospital. You don’t have anything to do with staffing,” Sienna pointed out.
“It was a bit complicated, but fortunately I have an assistant who can manage the most complicated business I can manage to put together for her,” I explained. Sienna shook her head again.
“As long as it’s not some issue where all my coworkers are going to be mad at me because coverage is down,” Sienna said.
“Kara, my assistant, thought of that,” I told her. “She got the hospital to arrange temporary credentials for a qualified nurse in good standing at another hospital to take over your shift for the day. He gets extra pay, the hospital got some money for some equipment, and you get a day off where you can just relax and spend time with your mother and Tanya.”
“How much money did you spend on this, exactly?” Sienna frowned, her face concerned, and I yawned, half-shrugging.
“Probably less than you think,” I said. I wasn’t about to quote a number--I knew that Sienna would likely be appalled by it, no matter what it was. When Kara and I had tallied up what it would cost, it had been perfectly reasonable in my view, and certainly worth the pleasure I was sure it would give Sienna.
“I’m not going to ask,” Sienna said after staring me down for a moment.
“Speaking of difficult questions,” I said, sitting up in my bed. “Something has been bugging me.”
“Okay,” Sienna said, shifting onto her side and pulling the bed sheets around herself a little more. I could see she was still naked, and thought idly to myself that it might be nice to have one more quick tumble between the sheets before she left to spend the day with her family. Get the question out first, then you can see how amorous she’s feeling, I told myself. The question had been in the back of my mind for a while, but it had especially started plaguing me after Sienna had said that she hadn’t had sex with anyone since conceiving Tanya. It was obvious to me that whoever Tanya’s father was, he wasn’t in her life; I had a hard time believing that he ever had been. It might kill the mood, but I had to relieve my curiosity.
“You said you haven’t had sex since the night you conceived Tanya,” I said.
“Right,” Sienna agreed. “I just kind of didn’t hook up with anyone directly afterward, and then once I found out I was pregnant I didn’t feel right and then I was a mom.”
“Who did you hook up with that night? I mean...I guess maybe it’s an invasive question, but how come Tanya’s dad isn’t in her life? Did you get in touch with him when you found out?” Sienna looked down at the bed for a moment and I wondered if there was any way I could have possibly shoved my foot into my mouth harder than I clearly had.
“The father never found out,” Sienna said. “I didn’t tell him because I couldn’t get in touch with him. I didn’t have his phone number or even know his last name.” She looked up and met his gaze.
“Wow, didn’t you leave him a note? Or did I ruin that for you?” I smiled at Sienna and she frowned.
“Bobby,” she said. “I did leave him a note.” Her voice was quiet.
“So he didn’t see it either?” Sienna closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath before opening them again.
“He apparently didn’t,” she said. “Because he was you.” I stared at Sienna, unable to quite process the words that had just left her mouth.
“He...Tanya’s father...I’m Tanya’s father?” Sienna nodded.
“I apparently got pregnant that night or shortly after,” she said. “I didn’t even realize it was possible.”
“I mean, I guess we weren’t really taking much in the way of precautions,” I said, still trying to absorb the fact that I had a child. “But are you--are you completely sure she’s mine?” Sienna snorted.
“Well, I’d had a period before you and I hooked up, and I didn’t hook up with anyone after you,” she said, a little tartly; I guessed I couldn’t blame her for that, not really. “So the options are either you or the holy spirit, and I’ve heard that dude only knocks up virgins.”
“So all this time...the past five years…” I shook my head slowly and sat up in my bed. I’d had a child for the past five years without even knowing it. “You didn’t even think to tell me somehow?” Sienna scowled at me.
“Well, it isn’t like I had your phone number. I didn’t even have your last name,”
Sienna pointed out.
“You knew I was friends with Grant. You could have asked,” I countered. “Grant would have given you my contact information.” Sienna sat up in bed next to me, and sighed.
“I thought about it,” she admitted. “But you have no idea how humiliating it can be to be the knocked-up girl.”
“I can only imagine,” I said, trying to think about it; about how brave Sienna would have had to have been to deal with it on her own, to hold her head up. And how hard she would have had to have worked to continue going to school through the pregnancy, to be able to become a nurse while she was pregnant and then raising an infant and then a toddler.
“And I didn’t want to just...hit you up,” Sienna said. “Once I realized it was you--and who you were--I decided not to say anything because I didn’t want to be some chick hitting you up for money.” I stared at Sienna for a second, but she wasn’t looking at me. She was looking down at her lap, at her hands.
“But you’ve had Tanya on your own for five years. You’ve taken care of her by yourself with no help from me for all that time,” I pointed out.
“That was my choice,” Sienna said. “I decided that I was going to keep her, and keeping her meant taking care of her. Besides, Mom’s been helping as much as she can.”
“Yeah, but for five years I should have been contributing too, and I haven’t,” I insisted. “If I’d known when you got pregnant that you were...and that the baby was mine...I would have been able to help with the doctor bills, and making sure that Tanya had everything she needed and wanted without you having to stress out about it.” Sienna looked up from her hands and met my gaze with a scowl.
“What are you saying?”
“I’m saying that I feel kind of shitty that I haven’t been paying my fair share for the past five years,” I replied. “Not in the sense of blaming you, but like...if I had known, I could have helped you out.”
“Well fortunately, I didn’t need your help and I don’t need it now,” Sienna said, swinging her legs over the edge of the bed and letting the sheets fall away from her as she stood up.
“What’s wrong?” Sienna shook her head in response to my question and started looking around, and I realized she was looking for the dress she’d worn last night, before putting on the pajamas I’d loaned her after her shower.
“I’ve never been afraid of hard work,” Sienna said. “And I’ve never been ashamed of it, either.”
“Who’s saying you should be?” I couldn’t understand the sudden change in her mood at all: I had specifically said that it wasn’t that I blamed her for not telling me, hadn’t I? I just felt like an asshole for not knowing, not being there for a kid who was apparently mine. I’d been judging whatever guy had knocked Sienna up and left her in a lurch--and then I’d found out that I’d technically been judging myself. Sienna found her clothes and started getting dressed, and I knew that any possibility of more sex before she went back home to enjoy her paid day off was not just out the window but down the highway, miles away.
“I didn’t want to tell you because I didn’t want you to feel bad for me,” Sienna said. “I didn’t want you to try and throw money at me and Tanya because you feel guilty for knocking me up.”
“It isn’t that I feel guilty,” I protested. “I feel guilty that I didn’t get your note, and so I never even knew anything about this.”
“Don’t,” Sienna said, looking at me. “It’s in the past, and Tanya has grown up just fine without you.”
“Obviously she has,” I said, still confused. “I’m not saying she hasn’t.”
“You’re just edging on the idea of throwing money at us because you think the poor single mother can’t do enough for her little girl,” Sienna told me.
“That’s not it at all! Will you stop for a second and just listen to me?” Sienna crossed her arms over her chest, and in spite of how confused I was, I couldn’t help but notice that she looked just as gorgeous as ever.
“I know what this is,” Sienna said. “You found out that Tanya is your daughter, and you’re not a terrible guy, so your first impulse is to feel like you have to ‘make it right’ or something.”
“Well I’d like an opportunity to at least try and make up for not knowing for five years, while you’ve been struggling,” I pointed out. “Is that so awful?”
“It isn’t awful,” Sienna admitted. “But it isn’t great, either. You think--I really believe this--you think that there isn’t any problem you can’t solve with money. So you feel shitty that you didn’t know you have a kid, and your impulse is to open up your wallet.”
“If I had known that Tanya was my daughter, from the beginning, I would have chipped in,” I said. “I would have been part of her life. And yours.”
“But you didn’t know, and to be honest with you, Bobby...I’m not sure I’m all that happy I decided to tell you,” Sienna said.
“You’re not being fair,” I told her. “You just told me that I have a child, and I’m still working on processing that, but I know what’s right. What’s right is that if a guy gets someone pregnant, and she decides to keep the kid, he chips in. He helps take care of his kid. And I haven’t been doing that because I didn’t know. But now I know.”
“And I’m telling you that we’re doing fine,” Sienna said. “If I had wanted you to chip in, I would have gone to Grant and asked him what your last name was, how to get in touch. I had choices. I chose to keep Tanya, and I made that choice with the decision that I was going to do it on my own.”
“I’m not saying you’re wrong,” I insisted. “I’m just saying that now that I know, doesn’t it make sense that I could just...help a bit?”
“No, it doesn’t,” Sienna said, scowling again. “There’s no reason for you to help me. If it weren’t for you showing up at Tanya’s school and taking a shine to her, you still wouldn’t know. Hell--If I hadn’t decided to come clean, you still wouldn’t know. We’d be strangers who hooked up one night five years ago. Just because times are tough for me and everyone else but the billionaires of the world doesn’t mean I need your charity.” Sienna grabbed up her purse and left my bedroom, and I considered going after her.
I started to get out of bed but I knew better than to chase a fully dressed woman through my house while I was stark naked. It wasn’t a good look, and it wasn’t likely to convince her to stop. I groaned and laid back in bed while Sienna stormed out of my home, still working my mind around the fact that I had a child. I’d had a child for five years without even knowing.
“Holy shit,” I murmured to myself. One of the conditions on keeping my inheritance was to have the prospect of an heir to inherit after me. I technically already had an heir; assuming that I could trust Sienna that I was the father of her child, I had a daughter. I couldn’t think of any reason not to trust Sienna on that issue, since she clearly didn’t want to have anything to do with me. Unlike the woman from the night before, there was definitely no attempt on Sienna’s part to get money out of me--exactly the opposite. I thought about calling Kara and telling her that I’d satisfied one of my uncle’s requirements without even knowing it, but I decided against it, at least for the moment. I sighed and sat up in bed once more. I knew I needed to do something, but for a while I just sat there after Sienna left, trying to work my head around the fact that I actually had a child, and had had a child for five years. Tanya was even--from what I’d seen so far--everything a person could want in a kid: clever, funny, cute, and confident. Sienna had done an amazing job raising her. Maybe if you’d known about it and gotten involved, you’d have just messed things up, I thought glumly. But I knew about it, and knowing that I had a child meant that I needed to do something, even if Sienna didn’t necessarily want me to. I just had to figure out what, and how.
Chapter 14
“Mama, Mama!” I nodded to Tanya, who’d spotted me from the top of the slide at the playground, and my annoyance at Bobby evaporated at the sight of her enormous smile.
“Be
careful on the slide, baby doll,” I called back, finding the bench Mom had taken and seating myself next to her.
“Did you get a good night’s sleep over at the mansion?” I glanced at my mother and thought about how things had gone the night before, and since I’d woken up to try and get my act together to get into work. I’d sent my mother a text message letting her know that I had the day off and would be home soon, before I’d gotten into the fight with Bobby.
“I did, actually,” I said, keeping my tone as neutral as possible.
“You sound cranky for someone who got a good night’s sleep,” Mom observed. I rolled my eyes. “What happened?”
“Just not the best morning,” I said, trying to forestall any deeper questions. I was still rattled from my argument with Bobby; I needed a little more time to think about the situation. “Plus I didn’t have any coffee yet.”
“What kind of man lets a guest leave his house without giving them coffee first?” Mom tsked and shook her head.
“I got into an argument with him and left before I had a chance to get any coffee,” I told her.
“So I’m guessing there’s not going to be a second dinner date,” Mom said.
“Mama!” I looked at my daughter and watched her go down the slide, letting out a squeal of delight.
“Great job, baby girl!” Tanya went to stand in line for the slide again, behind about three other kids. I watched her handling the line, waiting patiently. Some of the kids tended to push or shove, so I wanted to keep an eye out to make sure my daughter wasn’t being bullied.
“So no second date? Here I was hoping to hear that you were going to develop a social life,” Mom said once I was settled in a bit more.
“No, I’d rather not see him again at all,” I said.
“Just how badly did the argument you had with this man go?” Mom crossed her arms over her chest and pinned me down with her gaze and I couldn’t resist telling her. Truthfully, I needed someone to talk to, and there weren’t many people who knew the circumstances of Tanya’s birth as much as my mother did.
