Babysitter's Club Olivia Page 5

So other than my kids’ college funds which I’ve already been taking care of, I don’t really have any great expenses to speak of. I didn’t bring up the subject now though. There was time enough for that later.

I did notice that she didn’t even ask, in fact she’s never seemed to care one way or another. As far as she knows I’m working paycheck to paycheck…

“I have to call my family and tell them.” Oh shit, I forgot that part of the story. Other people are eventually going to hear the news. Shit; drama!

Oh well! “Yeah, I better call mom too and tell her the news. Do you want to wait until I get you your ring?”

“No, I’m too excited. I wanna tell ‘em now.”

How is it possible to fall for two completely different personalities? Trial run! Gotta be! We got out of the tub and she ran for her phone while I went for mine.

Somehow or other there were numbers exchanged and her mom called my mom and next thing I knew, my soon to be in laws were coming to town. Looks like I’m not gonna get time to adjust to the outside world intruding on our new relationship.

We told the kids that evening when we took them out to an impromptu dinner of pizza and ice cream. I was nervous as hell but I shouldn’t have been. They were ecstatic.

My little girl put it best. “Does that mean we get to keep you forever Livia?”

“It sure does cupcake.” She pinched her cheeks and the two of them laughed and grinned at each other while me, and my boy rolled our eyes at their silliness.

Inside I know my boy was as happy as I. I could see it on his face. I lucked out all across the board. I found a woman whom I love to distraction and who loves me. And what’s more, she loves and accepts my kids and they adore her.

The next day life went back to normal. She went off to school and I headed to the shop. That feeling of excitement still lingered and I had no choice but to tell the nosy ass fucks who work for me what was up because they kept asking.

I was more than a little surprised by their reactions. It was obvious they were happy for me, but I had no idea they’d been so invested in my shit. From some of the comments it was obvious they’d had their noses in since day one. I wasn’t hiding shit as well as I thought I guess.

During my lunch break I didn’t make a big deal out of it when I headed to the best jeweler in town to buy her ring. It was a three-carat solitaire with about a carat and a half of diamonds around the band.

The wedding band itself was a thicker band of diamonds. I had tears in my eyes when they shined them up and put them in the cute little velvet box and passed them to me.

I was too excited to wait. So I called her when I got back to the bike, not stopping to think what she might be doing just then. Lucky for me she had a fifteen-minute break coming up.

“Meet me outside the hospital, under that big maple tree that you like so much.” I rode out there five minutes before her break was supposed to start and watched as she walked out the door. The smile on her face made my heart race and all I could think was, please don’t let me fuck this up. Don’t ever let her lose that smile.

Not for the first time I realized how fucking tiny she was and that feeling of protective love was almost overwhelming. I opened my arms as I leaned against my ride and she ran the last few steps and flew into them, wrapping her arms around me.

I didn’t make a big deal, since I’m shit at giving speeches. So I just removed the engagement ring from the box and held her hand in mine, sliding it in place.

“I promise to do everything I can to make you want to keep wearing this every single day.” I kissed her ring and pulled her crying ass into my arms. Even the tough ones break.

“It’s beautiful.” I guess she was looking at it behind my back because she was still in my arms when she said it. So I pulled her head back to see the truth in her eyes.

  “You like it?”

“It’s perfect. I can’t wait to show it off.” We kissed for the next ten minutes before she had to go back and I had to get back to work. I felt ten feet taller by the time I walked back into the shop.

Sunday came way too fast and I was on pins and needles as I stood in the doorway with my son, waiting for the girls to come on. Since she’d been sick the last time we’d had to reschedule.

Her family were going to meet us at mom’s. Something I didn’t know until the night before. When they said they were coming to town I thought I had at least a few weeks, ergo the sweat around the collar.

My nervousness didn’t stem from any fear, but from wanting her family to be happy for her. I know she wants that even though she doesn’t say it.

And though I’d just escaped one situation where my in laws and I hated each other’s guts, I didn’t care if they liked me or not. As long as they didn’t dim that light in her eyes, we’re good.

The two of them came out of our room dressed alike. They were both wearing flower patterned yellow summer dresses and white sandals. And their hair was done up in the same style. Ringlets caught up in a ponytail with a flower pinned to the side.

“My beautiful girls, you both look amazing.” I’m not sure which of them wore the bigger smile. I lifted the little one on my arm and took the other’s hand in mine while she took Jason’s and the four of us headed out the door to my truck.

I lost any odd feelings by the time we pulled up to mom’s place because I gave myself a little pep talk on the way there while we held hands in the truck. No matter what, I’m going to make it my mission in life to see that she’s happy.

So even if some of her family members aren’t too sure in the beginning, hopefully they’d be singing a different tune in the months to come.

Like I said, mom had met my girl on a few occasions so when they embraced it wasn’t a big deal. But the thumbs up and the big ass grin on mom’s face behind Olivia’s back said more than enough about the way she felt.

The Ricci family started showing up about an hour later and I was in no way ready for them. Her mom was tiny like her, with a big smile and from the way she treated my kids, a big heart.

She came bearing gifts, a lot of gifts. For what she called her grandchildren. There were about twelve of them, no joke. Aunts, uncles, cousins, her brother and sister.

It didn’t take me long to realize I was damn near superfluous, especially with the women. They were all about her and the kids. The ring got high praise. I think her aunt, the oldest of the bunch, took out a loop and checked it over before giving it her stamp of approval. I ain’t mad. The men though were a different story.

  Richard

They stood together in a huddle with my dad. All I saw were nodding heads and every once in a while one of them would look in my direction. I figured since my dad was there they couldn’t be plotting my demise.

Jason was in the midst of them, chest puffed up with his own importance because these grown men were including him in whatever the hell it was they were up to over there.

There was a latecomer, another brother who came through the door and headed straight for my girl. He picked her up and twirled her around and I had to check the reflex to go grab her out of his arms.

“Why’re you late Tony?” She smiled down at him, still in his arms and he kissed her smack on the lips before putting her down. I’m gonna have to get used to this shit.

He reached in his pocket and pulled out a key. “Pop decided that since you’re staying here we should bring the Gran Turismo. The assholes at the harbor took a long time to clear the shit through.”

Did he say Gran Turismo? I might be into bikes but I know what the fuck that is. It’s a hundred thousand dollar plus car. What the fuck…

“Thanks Tony, I was thinking I’d grab it when I came back to get the rest of my stuff. This saves me the hassle.” She looked around her brother at me and I guess the stupefied look on my face gave my thoughts away.

It’s a good thing they were a loud preoccupied bunch otherwise they might’ve noticed my lost look. She brought her brother over to me
and we shook hands.

I didn’t come out of my stupor until he brought up the fact that I build bikes. “I’ve always wanted a custom made bike. You got any pictures?” I pulled my phone, still not saying shit, still processing.

“Oh yeah. Carlo, get over here.” He called over his cousin who looked at the phone as well and the next thing I knew they were asking how long it would take to build five bikes for some crew they had back east.

I think I answered, but I was still getting my mind around him offering to drop quarter of a million or more just like that. Who the fuck are these people?

“We’ll talk later, right now it’s all about the engagement and shit and I don’t want my ma and aunties lighting into me for spoiling Olivia’s day.”

He slapped me on the shoulder and moved on to kneel in front of my daughter who was looking like she was in culture shock. She’s not accustomed to so much show of emotion from grownups except with me, and Olivia.

I saw she already had a life size doll in her hand from her new grandma and can I say, the smiles on my children’s faces made all the confusion I was feeling worth it?

Olivia came to stand next to me when I got a break from family members. “How rich are you?” I didn’t know how else to phrase that shit, but it was obvious she came from money. Lots of fucking money.

She shrugged like that shit was nothing. “Rich enough.”

“So why did you need a job?”

“I wanted to make my own way. Pop allowed me to do it but he was always there just in case. Don’t worry about it.”

She walked off and her uncle came to stand next to me. He’s the epitome of an Italian uncle. Unlit cigar in the corner of his mouth, built like a semi truck, and the proverbial pinky ring.

“So, boy, I’ve spoken to the lawyers and they came up with this.” He pulled a sheaf of folded papers from beneath his jacket and passed them to me.

I didn’t even get a chance to look at them before Olivia showed up and snatched them from my hand. I had a pretty good idea what they were from her next words.

“Knock it off uncle Sal, he’s not signing anything.” “I’m just looking out for you bambina.” She kissed him on the cheek and stole the shrimp from his hand.

“No need.” She winked at me and walked away leaving me with the Godfather wannabe.

“No hard feelings boy but…you know.” He went on to tell me how he too was interested in a bike but his wife would scalp him if he ever got on one. He still wanted one though, even if it just sat in his garage.

It was at the dinner table that mom set up in the backyard by putting about three tables together that I got to see the dynamics of my new family.

These men may look tough and talk even tougher, but the women ruled this shit. They had the wedding damn near planned by the third course and from what I can tell, all I had to do was show up.

The only conflict came when it came time to decide where it should be held. When I heard four hundred people or more I had a mini stroke.

Then I had to argue with her dad about who was going to pay. I wanted to, he insisted it was his place and no matter what I said that shit was not gonna change.

“Just leave it Rich, you won’t win. Besides, most of the guests are from my side and trust me, you do not want to be responsible for feeding these people or putting on a wedding and reception. One wrong move and they’ll talk about it for years.”

I could only look at her, wondering what the fuck. How do I keep ending up with these rich girls? And how can she be so different?

I did relax though as the evening wore on. It was obvious that they were happy for her. No one seemed to care that I came with two kids, in fact they seemed to embrace my children without question.

When I saw my little girl dancing on uncle Sal’s toes I released the last pent up breath I had. Mom was beaming, dad was laughing louder than anyone else and my son was showing off what he knew about bikes.

“They’re a lot to take in but you’ll get used to it.” Her mom came and sat beside me where I sat watching the others dancing and laughing in mom’s backyard.

“I hope you don’t mind that we took over the wedding plans. Dom has always had a soft spot for his little girl. As the youngest she’s been more spoilt than the other three and since her sister had a big wedding it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t do the same for her.”

“But who knows four hundred people?”

“Well, there might be more than that, but that’s the number I came up with off the top of my head. Your mom promised to get me a list of your guests…”

“I know like ten people.” She patted my knee and laughed.

“That’s fine then. Dom already said he’d send the plane back to bring you guys over when the time comes. We’re thinking the fall but we’ll decide on the date later when everyone isn’t so crazy.”

She indicated the others who were laughing and joking around with each other, my own family included. I got a little choked up when I saw Olivia’s sister Lydia with her arm through mom’s as they looked around the border garden talking plants and flowers.

By the end of the night I felt like I’d fallen down the rabbit hole. They’d taken over an inn in town and that’s where they all headed at the end of the night. I learned then that they’d be here for three days before going back to Jersey.

My kids were out before we pulled out of the driveway and I think I was still in shock. I’d had to leave about half their gifts at mom’s to be picked up later because they couldn’t all fit in the truck.

We put them to bed after cleaning them up a little and then it was just she and I. “Why didn’t you tell me?” I wasn’t exactly mad, just surprised as fuck. She never once let on.

“Why would I? It’s no big deal.” We were getting ready for bed and I think it may have been the first time we were this close to the bed and I didn’t have my hands on her.

Now I’m not one of those assholes who’s threatened by his woman having more money than him, but I’m pretty sure she’s even wealthier than Melissa. Shit!

“Stop worrying, my family doesn’t use their money to bully people. Though I can promise you, if you ever make me cry they’d all descend on you like the wrath of hell.” She thought that shit was funny.

“Babe, we gotta talk about this.”

“No, we don’t. It’s not a big deal. I have money, you have money. We’ll blend the two. It just means that we won’t have to worry about going hungry. Oh and there’s a beach house in the Hamptons.”

  “You have a beach house?”

“Yeah, it’s something dad did a while ago. Each of us kids have one, in the same compound. And then there’s the compound in Vail. We can teach the kids to ski. I can’t wait for them to meet their cousins.”

“Lydia and Dom Jr. didn’t bring the kids and their spouses this time because somebody had to stay back there and watch over things and my sister in law is way pregnant. Plus there wasn’t enough room on the plane…”

That’s her sister and older brother. I climbed into bed and listened as she gave me a rundown of her nieces and nephews, some of which I’d heard before but now I saw all these people in a new light.

“Don’t worry baby, you’ll get used to it.” She crawled into bed and straddled my lap. I reached up and took the flower from her hair. “Just promise me one thing. That you’ll never change.”

She looked at me questioningly for a second before wrapping her arms around my neck. “It’s just money Rich, it’s a bank account. There’s no need for me to change.”

I know she knew where I was coming from, but by the time she covered my lips with hers and reached between us for my dick, I pretty much put that shit out of my mind.

“This, isn’t going to change.” She slid down and took my dick in her mouth, sucking me to hardness before climbing back up and impaling her hot cunt on my rod.

I palmed her tits and sucked one of her nipples into my mouth as she rode up and down my cock. I let her have her
fun through two orgasms before putting her on her back and fucking into her hard.

I had to cover her mouth with my hand before she woke the kids. I looked down into her eyes as I stroked into her, feeding my cock in deep. Her pussy clutched at me and sprung a leak as I bottomed out.

“I don’t care what you do with your money, but I’ll be taking care of you. You understand?”

“Uh-huh, sure, anything you say.” Her greedy ass was trying to get cum number four and I know she wasn’t listening to shit I say.

I moved my hand and fed her my tongue. Taking her ass in my hands I deep fucked her until her clenching pussy drained my balls, but I wasn’t done.

“Turn around.” I put her on her hands and knees and used her escaping juices and mine to oil up her ass before sliding my dick in. “You better bite the sheets, you know how you get.”

She’s the ass fuck queen. For someone who fought me tooth and nail about giving up her ass, she sure gets off on having me fuck her there at least once a day.

She gripped the sheets with her hands and lifted her ass higher. “Play with your clit.” It wasn’t long before she was making those hoarse guttural moans as I pounded her ass. She tore the damn sheets off the bed.

I spent the next few hours asserting my manhood until her pussy was a red beaten mess. She was assed out and trying to catch her breath as she laid sprawled on the bed when I was done with her. Money can’t buy that shit.

  Richard

The next day I got a visit at the shop. Seems her brother and cousin were serious. I tried giving them a deal since they were family, but they seemed offended.

“Business is business brother, that’s not how we do things.” Tony assured me as he walked around the shop. Melissa would shit a brick if she saw how casual they were about dropping a few hundred grand.

It was easy to see where Olivia got her laid back attitude from. Unless you looked real close, you wouldn’t realize that they were all wearing Rolex, or that their shoes cost a couple thousand dollars.
