“Then what?” Her expression was beyond sexy.

“You don’t want to know that part.” I brushed my hand down my face as my skin heated.

“I do actually.” She picked up her wine and sipped at it, watching me with needy eyes.

“I’d take good care of her however she let me.” I bit my bottom lip as I watched her. “You know that I’m attracted to you, Sky.”

“I know. I can feel it.” She took a gulp of her wine, causing me to grin. “I feel the same, but you know that I think it’s a terrible idea for us to act on it.”

“And I don’t really care that you feel that way.” I smirked. “You’re not in a relationship now, are you?”

“No.” She reached up and ran her fingers through her hair. The movement caused her breast to lift, her nipple budded and tight for me. Fuck, I wasn’t going to get through the evening without offering to hold her throughout the night.

“Why not?” I took a shaky breath when the server arrived and took our order. I’d promised myself before taking the company from Dad that I would keep my heart and hormones in check, and fuck me if this woman across the table from me wasn’t dicking up my diabolical plans.

After handing our menus to the server, she looked back at me.

“Relationships are messy, and honestly, I’ve never really found anyone that I wanted to give my time or attention to.” She shrugged.

“So just casual relationships then?” I wanted to know about her sex life, and I shouldn’t have, but the alpha asshole in me wanted to push. The fact that I was her boss only made me want to step closer to the line of ethical blur.

She smirked. “Are you asking me if I had a bunch of one-night stands in my youth?”

“Yeah. I guess I am.” I relaxed into the idea of wanting to know everything about her. No point in fighting it.

“Well, firstly, that’s none of your business, and secondly, no. I’m not interested in sharing my body with strangers and ending up with a disease or carrying a baby.” She fussed with the napkin in her lap.

“Hey. I didn’t mean to pry. I just want to know about you.”

“And my sex life?” She snorted.

“Everything about you.” I tapped the table, trying to think through how to get us back on track. I’d pushed a little too far. “So why public relations? Seems like such a pain in the ass job, especially when you have to deal with someone difficult or new at being in the spotlight.”

“Someone like you?” She smiled, and I knew I’d moved us safely away. While I didn’t think she was a virgin, at least I knew that she had high standards. I didn’t stand a chance.

The very thought made me want her even more.

Nerves tore up my insides as we drove back to the hotel. Thankfully, Kade talked about his brothers and helped me laugh a few times on the journey. Were we really going to cross that line together?

No. I needed to pull back. Sleeping together casually wasn’t something I was okay with. I’d never been that type of girl in my past, and even for the hot bastard beside me, I wasn’t going to start.

If we ended up in bed together, something had to come of it, but the question was: would it?

“Hey. You all right?” He glanced over at me and smiled as we stopped in front of the hotel.

“Oh yeah. Good. Just thinking about a few things I need to take care of when we get back to Seattle.” I got out of the car and offered the valet a smile.

“Are you always thinking about work?” He moved up beside me and pressed his hand to the small of my back.

The vein in the side of my neck throbbed, following the rhythm of my racing heart. “I love my job. It means everything to me.”

“Why did your voice change when you said that?” He turned to face me and pressed his shoulder to the back wall of the elevator as we rode to the top. “Like you’re worried that your job is in jeopardy.”

“I’m not worried about that, but whatever is happening right now between us is a bit of a threat.” I stole a quick breath and turned to face him, our bodies only a few inches apart. “I’m not having a one-night stand with you.”

“I didn’t ask you to.” He reached out and brushed his fingers down my cheek and under my chin. “I’m not sure what I’m asking, but maybe it just starts with a night cap?”

“And then I leave.” I reached out and slid my hand up his chest, wanting so badly to feel his skin pressed against mine.

“Or... you stay.” He cupped my neck and leaned down to brush his nose along mine.

The air in the elevator all but evaporated.

“I can’t,” I whispered roughly as I pulled back. My heart was in my throat, and every pleasure point along my body pulsed with the deepest desire I’d ever felt.

“Come on. Let’s get a drink.” He reached out and took my hand, not letting it go. The strength in his fingers as they wound around mine gave me the courage to keep moving toward his suite. “If you decide you want to stay the night with me, then stay, but if you need to go, go. I’d never make you feel pressure to do anything you didn’t want to do. Not like you do me.”

I snorted and released his hand as he used his card key to get into the room. “I’m not sure when I pressured you to do anything.”

He lifted his hands to the side and turned around in a slow circle. “You made me try on clothes for you and your friend.”

I lifted an eyebrow. “Not fair.”

“Speak about my adoption in front of a huge group of strangers and risk rejection.” His smirk grew.

I was going to fall in love. Fuck my life, I was going to worship him.

“I didn’t give you the subject matter. I just told you what the exercise was about.” I walked toward him aggressively.

“And now you’re putting me in the most uncomfortable situation where I have to make a hard choice.” He reached out and grabbed me roughly, picking me up and turning to press his strong body against mine. The wall behind me left me nowhere to go.

“What situation is that?” I reached up and ran my hands through is hair, pulling him down toward me.

He pulled against my grasp, his lips inches from mine. “I can make love to you all night, or let you go and possibly miss out on everything I’ve been looking for my whole life.”

“Fuck you, Kade Miles.” I pulled harder, and his lips crashed against mine.

I moaned loudly and tightened my stomach to lift my legs. Wrapping them around his waist was a horrible idea. I knew it the minute I did it.

“Yes. Please fuck me.” He licked at my lips and ground against me, his body so big and thick. The hard press of his cock grinding against my center as he rocked his hips back and forth left me trembling.

  “Kade. You know—”

He kissed me, his tongue pressing into my mouth as he dominated our kiss. His fingers pressed into my thighs and slid up to my ass for a tight squeeze. I lamented having slacks on instead of a skirt for the first time in months. I wanted better access to the friction he caused between my thighs.

The kiss was delicious, and the minute he pulled back, I jerked him down for more of them.

Pulling away from the wall, he turned and walked toward the bed. He laid me down and stood back up. “Stay with me tonight, Sky. I want to take good care of you. Let me.”

“And then what?” I sat up and reached up to unbutton his shirt. We worked on it together, both of our hands trembling by the time he tossed it behind him. Scars ran along his chest and stomach, but every one of them made him a little more dangerous. I leaned in and ran my tongue along his happy trail.

“I don’t know, but I can’t move past this moment without taking full advantage of you being here with me.” He worked on his slacks, slipping out of them and standing in his tight underwear before me. His cock protruded above his Calvin Klein’s by several inches, and my mind went wild. Could I even fit him inside of me? He was enormous, much bigger than I imagined a man could be.

“I see you turned into a Calvin fan.” I teased and glanced up at him as he moved down to his knees in front of me. My heart almost stopped as he tugged my shirt loose from my slacks, pulled it over my head, and tossed it behind him.

“About eight years ago, this beautiful girl in a white bikini convinced me that to have a woman like her, I needed undies like these.” He wrapped his muscled arms around me and pulled me close before leaning down and kissing the tops of my breasts as they spilled from the naughty pink bra I’d purchased.

“Don’t make me fall in love with you, Kade.” I ran my nails down his back and groaned as he undid my bra and rolled his tongue over my nipples.

“Hush. Enjoy tonight with me.” He pressed his fingers into my chest and carefully laid me back before working on my slacks.

“I’ve never done this before,” I barked out as terror rolled through me. “And I’m not doing it without a condom.”

He smiled and ran his hands up my sides. His thumbs rolled over my nipples roughly. “I have one, and I’d never hurt you. Tell me to let you go, and I will, but if you want me the way I want you, then trust me tonight.”

The first hint of tears scared me more than the idea of fucking a man I might not ever truly have.

“Get the condom,” I whispered roughly.

He leaned over and kissed me before moving back. “Take your panties off for me, and get up on the pillows.”

I did as I was told, my legs shaking like jello as I crawled up on the bed, fully naked for him. When I turned and laid back against the pillow, I found his eyes on me, his lips parted slightly. The sound of him panting was delicious, and it echoed my own labored breathing.

He dropped his underwear and slid the condom down his swollen erection before crawling up on the bed and laying down on his stomach. He gripped my thighs and pulled me down before pressing his tongue down between my folds.

I moaned and opened my legs wider, wanting him to taste me, to make me come before he took my virginity.

The sound of him lapping at my body was enough, but the thick press of his fingers deep inside of me threw me violently over the edge. I buckled and cried out his name. The sound of my voice cracking felt good. Being vulnerable beneath him felt right.

He moaned and rolled his tongue over my pussy once more before crawling up my body. “I’ve been thinking about that since the first moment I saw you.”

“In the commercial or the company?” I panted softly and wrapped my legs around him.

He laughed, getting my stupid joke. “My turn to remind you not to make me fall in love with you.”

I wanted to murmur a soft “please fall in love with me,” but it was too much for the moment. This was about sex and maybe a relationship. Pleasure was the emotion of the hour.

“Be gentle with me.” I tensed as he pressed the thick head of his dick inside of me.

“Relax and touch me. Don’t think about anything but me.” He ran his nose up the side of my throat and rolled his hips, massaging my entrance with slow movements.

Pleasure danced deep inside my stomach, and I wanted more of him. My heels pressed against his ass, and he obliged me, pressing in farther.

A soft yelp left me as pain blossomed around the pleasure.

“Almost there, baby.” He pressed his elbows into the bed and lowered his face to mine, kissing me deeply as he broke through my virginity. My cry was captured in his mouth, and the warmth that spread through me when the moment was over was a relief.

“Is that it?” I pushed at his chest to look at him.

He smiled. “It is. How a woman as beautiful and loved by America as you are is still a virgin is a fucking mystery.”

“I’m not anymore.” I pulled him back down. “Now, make me feel good.”

“You don’t have to ask twice. Just tell me how many times you want to come, and I’ll beat that number all night long.” He kissed me and worked himself in and out of my body in slow, soft thrusts.

I dug my fingers into his back and lifted my chin as the world shattered around me. My voice was weak, and stars burst around me as I whispered, “Fuck me. Please. Harder.”

And he did, over and over until the sun came up.

My body hurt the next morning when I woke, but the pain of bending and contorting all night dissipated as I felt Sky’s soft skin pressed to mine. Her ass rested against my cock, her back to my chest.

I reached up and brushed her hair off her shoulder so I could kiss her awake. The little groan she let out had me smiling.

Had we really given in to the heated lust between us? Fuck yeah, we had. Her body had been my playground, and her pleasure my only focus.

“Morning, beautiful.” I kissed her shoulder and moved to the back of her neck as she wiggled against me. “Hey. Careful there. Someone will want your attention again.”

“Really?” Her voice was thick with sleep. “You could go again this morning?”

Lie. I needed to lie. “Fuck yeah, I could.”

“Well, keep that beast to yourself.” She smiled over her shoulder and got out of bed, giving me the perfect view of her ass as she walked to the shower. “And stay out of here while I shower.”

“Aww... come on, now.” I dropped back on the bed in relief as the door closed. Where my testosterone would love for me to take another few hours to enjoy her, my back, legs, and cock were worn out. “Thank God.”

A smile lifted my lips as I let myself go back through the night with her. The smell of her body, the taste of her lips, her skin, her sweet pussy. I wanted all of it again.

Realization rolled over me. I’d never slept beside a woman through the night. Not that we slept, but the feeling of holding someone was new to me. I liked it.

  No, I loved it.

“Get up and stop it.” I rolled out of bed and got dressed. I’d get a long shower later that day back at my place. We would need to get moving to get back to Seattle, and I wanted to treat her to breakfast before all of that took place.

I’d just sat down to watch the news when the bathroom door opened. Unfortunately, she was already dressed.

“I was hoping to see you in a towel.” I smiled over at her and winked.

“We don’t have time for that. I told the pilot that we would be ready to go around eleven. That’s in less than an hour.”

“Well, I’ll call and tell him we’ll get there when we get there.” I stood and crossed the room. Sliding my hands down her shoulders, I leaned in for a soft kiss. “Thank you for last night. I don’t want anything to be weird between us while we figure this relationship out, okay?”

“It’s not.” She kissed me and turned to grab her purse. “You ready to get out of here?”

“Yep. Breakfast at the cafe downstairs, and then we’ll go get on the flight.”

“Good. I’m starving. I feel like I’ve been on a treadmill all night long.” She chuckled and walked out.

“A treadmill? Really? That’s what I’m getting compared to this morning? I’m thinking we should start telling gym equipment if it has the power to make you scream in pleasure.”

She popped me in the chest just before we got onto the elevator. “You know what I mean.”

“I do.” I pressed myself against her and cupped her face, wanting a few more kisses.

She pushed at my hips. “Let’s make sure, regardless of what we decide about us, that we don’t let anyone at the office know anything, okay? I don’t want rumors flying, and you know the minute someone thinks something is up, you’ll be a hero, and I’ll be a bimbo.”

“Okay, though that’s ridiculous.” I kissed her again, licked my lips, and moved away.

“I agree, but it’s our reality.”

I didn’t respond, namely because she was right.

After a good breakfast together, we drove to the airport and boarded the plane. Nance was on the flight again, but I worked hard at being friendly and yet not too friendly, not a
fter the night I had with Sky.

“Talk to me about what you want from this company.” I leaned back in my chair as the plane lifted into the air, my eyes locked onto the girl of my dreams. “Are you good with where you are, or do you have plans to be somewhere else in the company one day?”

She pursed her lips and watched me, her mind most likely lost in thought. I let her think. I honestly wanted to know how to make her dreams come true, and that started with her first focus, which I’d deduced was her career.

“I want to move up as far as I can.” Her eyes refocused on me. “I’d love to have Ron’s position one day, I guess. I think after a few promotions and maybe ten to fifteen years that I’d be really good at operations.”

Her answer surprised me a little. “Are you interested in the design and technology of the company?”

“Yeah. All of it actually. I was really good at math and science in school.” She shrugged. “I think I would have become an engineer if the modeling thing hadn’t stolen my youth.”

I snorted. “You’re still young, Sky.”

“Make sure you call me Skylar in the office, okay?” She lifted an eyebrow. It wasn’t a request but a demand. My dick woke up. Fuck me. This woman had me on a short leash.

“Got it.” I reached up and ran my fingers through my hair. “I like your drive. You’re great at what you do. Let’s start looking for opportunities to get you more exposure outside of the PR department.”

Her expression hardened, and confusion raged through me. Not what I was expecting.

“Kade, I don’t want you looking at me differently because we slept together. I can make my own way to the top. I don’t need help.” Her brows pulled together.

“Hey.” I lifted my hands, palms facing her. “I would have had this conversation with you that day at the party if you weren’t in such a hurry to get away from me. Like I had leprosy or something.”

The hint of a smile lifted her lips. “I wanted to sleep with you, which was disturbing. I haven’t felt this way... ever.”
