“Gratifying that you’re finally admitting that.”
She slapped him on the arm. Now was not the time to be glib. “You can’t quit. We’ll work something out.” The thought of not seeing him at work every day felt like a loss, but then they would both return home even if he worked somewhere else.
Grabbing her hips, he pulled her to him again. They didn’t seem to be able to stop touching. “It will probably do me good to try something different for a while, anyway. How good am I going to be at running a company if I know nothing of another one? Not sure completely indoctrinating in one company culture will serve me well long term.”
“So, you’re just going to quit?”
“Yes,” he said, nuzzling into her neck again. Her breasts pressed to his chest and his hand massaged her backside. She could feel herself growing wet again. Would she ever stop wanting him every second of the day? “Care to bunk?”
“You know I can’t. I’ll be damned if I hand this promotion to that creepy Clarks dude.”
“Then I guess I better give it to you good and hard to tide you over.” Hot lips sought hers and desire flared to molten heat inside her.
“What are you two doing up there?” Esme called from the patio underneath them. “Are you doing rude things again? I’m seriously starting to wonder about the foundations of the house the way you two are shaking this place around.”
“Fuck off, Esme,” Felix called and Esme giggled. “She’s going to be impossibly smug. You do know that, don’t you?”
