Moment of Weakness - The Esquire Girls Series - Hailey (Book 1) Page 7

by Miller, Cassie-Ann L.

I comply, pressing my mouth to his as I sink slowly over his shaft. My body is flooded with a rush of sensations as he slides his tongue against mine. I feel him deep inside of me. Deeper than anyone has ever been. He’s stretching me wide. But it feels so good. So insanely good.

His hands come to my waist and he guides my movements. Slowly. Up and down. I fist the sheets so tight my wrists go numb. I feel as if every inch of my skin is ablaze. I moan his name. Never have I ever felt like this. I say his name over and over, my body in shock from the sensations.

Then, he sits up with me still bouncing uncontrollably in his lap. He lays me flat on my back and he’s hovering above me. I reach up and touch his damp cheek. He turns his face slightly to kiss my fingertips. “Is it good, beautiful?” he asks, sounding out of breath.

“Amazing,” is all I can say.

“Hang on, okay. It’s about to get rough.”

  I nod against the pillow.

He holds my hips firmly and plunges all the way to the center of me. I gasp with shock. He grinds into me in slow, hard circles. I whimper with each churn of his hips. “Are you ready, Hailey?”

  “I’m ready.”

I feel his hips rear back and I hold my breath in anticipation. He slams into me again and again and again. I’m wailing with pleasure, my eyes wide open as I absorb each shocking thrust. I feel the delicate flesh between my legs clamp down and squeeze viciously. Everything around me fades away and I see galaxies as my body shivers with the climax. “I’m coming,” I manage to pant.

“I know,” Jackson says confidently. I can almost hear the smirk in his voice.

My fingernails sink into his flesh as I hang onto him with all I’ve got. His body tenses too. He drops his face into the crux of my neck and I hear him groan. His cock pulsates inside of me as his orgasm overwhelms him. It takes forever for the shivers to stop.

He rolls off of me and collapses onto the mattress. We both struggle to catch our breath.

I turn over and lean my face into his humid skin. “Awesome,” is the only word that escape my lips.

Jackson uses his fingers to brush my damp hair out of my face. “Awesome.”

I listen to his heart beating strong and rhythmic in his chest. It begins to lull me to sleep.

And just as I’m about to let go of the last wisps of consciousness, I hear him whisper softly in his deep Texan accent, “Be my girlfriend, Hailey. I need you…”

  Chapter 24

“I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever,” I say as I lean against the railing overlooking the skating rink in Central Park. I hand Ruthie a paper cup of hot chocolate.

She smiles at me but still, she looks sad. She and Michael have been fighting a lot lately but she’s trying to put on a brave face. “Our schedules are so out of sync these days – between school and work and that secret lover of yours, we never get to hang out anymore,” she says.

I feel heat creeping up to my cheeks. “I do not have a secret lover.” I’ve only slept with Jackson once and although it was amazing, I can’t call him my lover. Not yet. I don’t want to get my hopes up.

I turn my attention to the skaters circling the rink and take a sip of my tea to hide my discomfort. “Oh please,” my roommate says with a smirk. “You’re never home, you float around on cloud nine all day and don’t think I haven’t noticed your new collection of lacy g-strings. You’re not fooling anyone, Hails. You’ve got a lover.”

“I don’t have a lover,” I insist just as the ding of my cellphone alerts me that I have a new text message. It’s from Jackson. I can’t stop thinking about you, it says. I fight back the smile tugging at the corners of my mouth.

“You do! You’re totally seeing someone!” Ruthie says with a mischievous laugh.

I keep my gaze focused on the skaters so that Ruthie doesn’t see how much this thing with Jackson is affecting me. I want him. He’s not even my type and I have no idea what we’re doing. But I want him. “He’s not a lover. He’s a…friend.”

Ruthie just shrugs as she turns to look out at the skating rink.

Silence sweeps over us as we distractedly watch parents teach their young children how to glide across the ice and couples drifting by hand in hand and teenagers laughing at each other as they slip and slide on this cold late December afternoon. I wonder about Jackson. What’s he doing right now? I wish I were in his arms.

Ruthie sighs deeply before tossing an arm around my shoulders. “Y’know what, Hails? Love is a dangerous thing. You might just have the right idea keeping this guy in the friend zone.”

A chill runs through my body as she says the words because although I know she’s right, I’m starting to wonder if I’d like Jackson to be something more than a friend. “I really can’t afford to get hurt, Ruthie,” I murmur feeling raw and vulnerable.

“Do what’s right for you, Hails. But just be careful. Love has a way of sneaking up on you and wrestling you to the ground. So be careful.”

  Chapter 25

I’d always imagined that my first New Year’s Eve in New York would be spent at Times Square counting down to midnight and kissing my perfect man as the ball dropped.

But instead, here I am in the lobby of CMS sitting behind the security desk with Jackson’s jacket draped around my shoulders. We’re snuggling and smooching and watching a live stream of the countdown to the New Year. When it’s finally midnight, Jackson wraps his arms around me and pulls me in for a slow, sensual kiss that makes my panties wet.

Another security guard shows up at 12:30 to relieve Jackson of his shift. The two of them go off into a corner to chat while I slip into my winter jacket, scarf and mittens. When I’m done bundling up, Jackson comes over to me, takes me by the hand and leads me to the elevator.

“Where are we going?” I ask with a wary smile as the lift’s doors slide shut.

“It’s a surprise,” he says as he pins me to the wall and kisses me passionately.

I laugh as I struggle to get out of his grasp. “Cameras, remember?” I say as I nod towards the blinking red light in the ceiling.

“Right,” he says as he lets go of me and straightens out the collar of his shirt. “Sorry – I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on you.”

I giggle as the elevator doors open onto the roof. Jackson steps off and stretches a hand out for me to join him. I tug on the hem of my short blue satin dress and walk gingerly across the concrete. Although there’s no snow on the ground, there could be ice anywhere.

“Oh my goodness – this is lovely, Jackson,” I say when I notice the bottle of champagne and two champagne flutes sitting on the ledge overlooking Union Square. The glasses are frosty because of the weather. He must have set this up when he left me an hour ago to go do his rounds throughout the building.

He grins widely as he opens the champagne bottle with a loud ‘pop’ and alcohol spills onto the concrete. He fills a glass for me and one for himself. “This is to you, Cowgirl,” he says looking me deep in my eyes. “I’ve very much enjoyed spending time with you over the past few weeks and I have every intention of spending as much time with you as I can going forward. You’re a fantastic girl and I’m so glad I met you. Cheers!”

I return his grin as I lift my glass to his. “Cheers!”

We both take big gulps of alcohol before Jackson pulls me close to him. His mouth is cool and tastes of champagne as it touches mine. “I’ve enjoyed spending time with you, too.” I whisper with an unrelenting smile and then our lips meet again.

Jackson sweeps his tongue against mine and wraps his free arm around my waist. My tiny sequined purse slips out of my hand and falls to the ground with a soft thud. As the kiss intensifies, he sets his flute down on the ledge. He takes mine away from me too, leaving my hands free to roam all over his rock hard body. His hands slide into my hair and he tilts my head to the side to deepen the kiss. I moan into his mouth. I’m becoming so damn aroused. My nipples tingle fiercely and I feel the juices oozing out of my body.

&n
bsp; “I want you, Jackson. Right here. Right now.”

His eyes reveal the surprise he feels when I utter the words. To show him that I’m serious, I bend forward and slide my panties down my legs and off of my body. I turn to face him and look him dead in the eye. I lean against the ledge and he wastes no time coming to me. I can feel his steely erection against my stomach when he holds me close to him. I moan into the frigid air.

Jackson unzips his pants and his regal cock is hard and ready. He slips his hand under the hem of my dress and runs two fingers across my slickness. I spread my thighs to give him better access. His fingers slide into me and stroke me back and forth. Jackson’s mouth covers mine, swallowing my high-pitched moans. Still wanting to feel him deeper, I wrap my leg around his body and wrap my arms tightly around his neck.

“You’re so fucking wet,” he say as he fists his cock, slathering my wetness all over it.

All I can do is purr. He glides his rigid column against my wetness and angles it against my opening. It feels so good.

“Condom,” I pant, as I nod towards my purse sitting at his feet.

He looks disappointed as he crouches down and pulls the protection from my purse. He sheathes himself and an instant later, he pushes through my tight flesh. I abandon myself to the feeling. He’s stretching me so good. I toss my head back in wanton abandon and his lips run up the side of my neck.

“Oh, Jackson – you’re the best,” I moan.

“Yeah, baby,” he says in a low rough growl. “You’re definitely the best I ever had.”

  Chapter 26

Jackson’s body has become an addiction for me. And I’m not ashamed to say it. I fall asleep dreaming about it at night. I wake up craving it in the morning.

  I want him in a way that’s barely sane. A way that’s borderline obsessive. It’s way too much… It’s way too soon…I know…

When Ruthie called me to say that Michael would be taking her to the Hamptons to rekindle their romance, I wasted no time inviting Jackson over. We barely made it through a tour of the apartment before we were both naked and pleasuring each other’s bodies.

After three exhilarating hours, we’re both sticky and exhausted. We share a shower and end up making love again underneath the stream of hot water. I don’t think I’ll ever get over how good he feels inside of me.

I leave Jackson toweling off in the bathroom and go to the kitchen to grab two glasses of water. That’s when I hear loud, insistent banging on my front door.

  I’m not expecting anyone.

I adjust the towel around my body and approach the door cautiously.

“Hailey,” I hear my name coming out in a whimper.

I stand on my tiptoes and see Matt staggering back and forth in the hallway.

  What the hell!

I open the door a crack and shoo him away. “Matt! What are you doing here? Go away!” I say sticking my head out the door.

With a heavy shove, he pushes the door wide open. “That bitch! She won’t let me see my child, Hailey! She won’t even let me see my child!” He reeks of alcohol.

What the hell is he talking about? “Matt, get out of here!” I scold as I throw a nervous glance over my shoulder. I never told Jackson that Matt is the man I was sleeping with when we met. I don’t want him to find out this way.

“But she won’t let me see my daughter!” he reaches out and rests his hand on my shoulder.

I shrink away. “What daughter, Matt? Who won’t let you see her?” I’m so confused.

“That bitch, Amelia! That bitch!” he roars.

I distantly register the sound of my bathroom door swinging open. I need to get Matt out of here. Now.

“Matt, now isn’t a good time,” I say giving him a light push.

He staggers his way inside. “I know your roommate is out of town. Michael told me. So let me in. I wanna fuck you.”

“Matt, no! No!” I say firmly, taking a step back.

“Let me fuck you, Hailey,” he growls loudly as he yanks the towel off of my body.

Just then, Jackson comes storming down the hallway. “What the –”

Everything happens so fast. I’m not quite sure the exact order in which the events occur.

All I remember is the sound that pours out of Jackson’s body as his fist makes contact with Matt’s jaw.

  Preview - Chapter 1

I scramble to wrap the towel around my naked body just as Jackson grabs Matt by the collar, lifting him like a rag doll and pinning him to the wall.

“Jackson! No!” I shriek as Jackson’s arm rears back, his fist aching to make contact with Matt’s face again. “Stop! Please!”

But Jackson continues to pound Matt’s pretty-boy face. Matt makes feeble attempts to fight back but even if he were sober right now, he’d have no chance against my infuriated marine.

“Enough!” I yelp as I pounce on Jackson and grab him by the shoulders. My touch finally gets him to stop.

He takes a few steps back and glares at Matt, a pathetic, bloody heap on the floor.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” I scream, pushing him in the shoulder with all my strength. “That’s my fucking boss, you jerk!”

Jackson doesn’t even flinch. He just stands there, shirtless with his jeans low on his hips. “Get the fuck out of here. Now,” he seethes glaring at Matt.

I watch horrified as Matt crawls on all fours to my door. He’s all wobble as he grabs ahold of the doorframe and slowly brings himself to his feet. His eyes are swollen half shut and blood drips from his face.

“You’ll pay for this,” he growls at Jackson but his voice is so weak it’s barely a whisper.

“Get the fuck out of here before I stomp your teeth out!” Jackson roars.

I clasp my hands to my chest as I watch Matt wobble towards the staircase.

  Oh sweet Jesus!

I hope I don’t lose my job over this.

Jackson puts his arm around my shoulder. “Are you okay?” he asks in a soft voice.

I shrink away from him. “I think you should leave,” I say as calmly as I can. I’m fuming on the inside. Matt is an asshole, no doubt. But he can make or break my legal career and my ‘boyfriend’ just beat him to a bloody pulp.

Jackson gives me a confused look. “Hailey…”

“Jackson – I need you to leave,” I say again.

He just shakes his head as he walks off towards my bedroom. When he reemerges a few moments later, he’s fully dressed. I hold the door open for him. He tries to kiss me on the cheek as he steps over the threshold, but I turn away.

A part of me feels a bit bad about leaving things this way, but the bigger part of me is pissed. He acted like a complete brute. All fists of fury, no questions asked.

Just before he steps onto the first stair, he turns back to look at me. I don’t wait to hear what he has to say. I just slam the door. So hard my whole apartment shakes.
