“Niche Redemptio, Umbra’s first niche. It was they who created this society, but you don’t hear them bragging about it. In fact, no one hears them saying anything. They move through hidden paths within Umbraland, paths that no one knows about. Their Umbrification is mythical, the one with more deaths. Their members are not known, their identities are secret and their faces are always covered.”

  Redemptio dangerously resembled redeemers.

  “Thanks to them, some sinners are saved from the punishment of the Institution; an act known as redemption down here. And it was with redemption that Umbra was born.”

  On the screen, another symbol could now be seen:

   

  “This is niche Feminismus,” continued Etaú. “The emancipation of women is its goal. Their equality with men. That there are no more women raped by their husbands, women humiliated by their colleagues, wronged by the Institution in general. It was this niche that managed to make it possible for women to wear short sleeves. There are many ways to manipulate the Institution without it being aware of the change.”

  He raised his arm, the symbol changed:
